I never see something like that before, I ask to her if everybody need to weight the carry on bag, She told me yes, but I stay on Checking places for a long time and I don't see anybody weight theirs carry on bags. Basically the company want to get my Money forced me to pay for extra weight."

They refused to have conversation and would randomly leave to the back office for 20 minutes at a time or stop assisting people at all. There were people screaming at the ticketing counter and security was called. In the end we spent 14 hours waiting there for a new flight, got split up and sent to different countries, had to miss work, and were not given any flight credit, accommodation, or even an apology."

Flights were consistently on time and service was great. Amazingly, our luggage made it too despite the short connections. Service was very good. The crew was pleasant and they were always serving drinks and food/ snacks even on short flights although food is usual coach fare. All in all a very positive experience. Most of the North American airlines could learn a thing or two regarding punctuality, service and baggage handling."
Prós: "When attempting to make the connection flight in Columbia, I was informed that I was being placed on standby due to overbooking by the airline. I was traveling with my service dog also. What is exactly am I supposed to do in Bogota, Columbia for an unexpected additional 24 hours? I had no money, and my credit card wouldn't work there. This was the worst airline experience in my life. Absolutely horrible. I will never travel with Avianca again. Avianca staff spoke hardly any English, so I couldn't hardly communicate with them either. Horrible."

I even asked in a Toronto and they said no and nobody in Atlanta told me to collect my bags. So bags never made it until the next AM. The West Jet rep was very good and located the bags and they were delivered as promised. You should provide 3 page detailed instructions on how to handle Toronto. I am a seasoned traveler by the way. I’ve never seen anything worse. I could go on and on."

We were never asked about the infant traveling until we went to check in at the desk and were told we needed to pay taxes for the baby at a rate of 10% of the cost of the ticket. But because we were doing it on the day of the flight, 10% was almost $200! We did not receive good customer service from staff, who simply told us we "should have known to investigate this." We have never been asked to do this when flying with a baby before! This was after an hour and a half of already waiting to check in our bags. We were waiting so long and dealing with this issue for so long that we almost missed the flight! A terrible experience. Also, the web check in line took even longer than the line of people who had not checked in online beforehand! It was so slow, it added to us almost missing our flight. It was a waste of time to check in online, especially since they gave us new boarding passes when we checked our bags in anyway. We also had trouble finding both of our reservations, even though we booked them together as a family, so we ended up with seats that were not together. When we had an issue, we were given an attitude by the staff checking us in."

For this leg of the trip, the time on the boarding pass was the time the plane left. I arrived at the gate at the time the boarding pass said and the plane had already left. I am traveling to my father's funeral and the only option I had was to rebook for an additional cost of $600. Extremely upset."

Rude and inattentive attendants (asked three times for Screen to be refreshed as it didn't work) and each time request ignored. Inedible food, old planes. Yuck."
Contras: "Online check I was a waste of time- tried 10x and failed called the airline and "customer service' was clueless and contradicted herself. The flight itself was well into the 90 degree range. My family's shirts were soaked with sweat. Eggs were gross. And this was $500/tix for coach. I would rather fly Sprirt or a vlaue line than this."

Contras: "We fly in 777 plane, but the crew member already occupied all of my overhead baggage space. I need to move two seat back for my bag. I am already the first passenger on board of the plane. That also cost the other passenger think I occupied their baggage space and be not too friendly with me during the trip. The notice board in the airport is confuse, we know the gate and the depart time, but no one show up until 120 min before the plane depart. And finally the plane delay and no information show the plane will delay for how long. Bad information in the counter My handle of the sit is broken I have photo to proof if you would need it, I save it with me. The lighting system in the plane is very stupid or may be the crew don't know how to operate, every time they just turn on all the light no matter we are sleep or not! This is a red eye flight passenger should have a choice to not get disturb, when the light on I need to turn it off every time! And the next passenger don't really know how to turn the light off that always on during the flight! Super bad flying experience. Not comfortable at all. Can't sleep much!"

Prós: "Flight 1: bathroom bigger. Flight 2: good service. In flight 2, the service was better. We could sit next to each other. Flight 2 had better entertainment, more choice of movies and better screens."
Contras: "In flight 1, from São Paulo to Mexico City, my husband and I were separated. It was suggested by the stewardess for him to move to another seat 20 rows away due to his size. Instead of separating two people, why not ask the single person if she would rather have more room. But the steward said only one of us could move, me or my husband. The reason he was moved was that there were two empty seats, so he could sit comfortably; however, no one told the woman sitting in the three seat aisle that he would be sitting there. So she basically took over her seat and the neighbouring one. The crew should have been the one to inform her the reason for his move there. It was a horrible and unnecessary experience. Because of my husband's size, I am needed to help him with his tray and I had his medication."

Contras: "I didn't get very good instructions about picking up my carry on bag plane side. I was told to go to the baggage claim instead by a staff member when I came out of the plane, but this was wrong, so I ended up waiting a very long time for them to bring me my carry on bag to the baggage claim."
Prós: "didn't get my flight you said booking was guaranteed refund 24 hours but when i call to change or refund you said the airline would not change or refund. you didn't live up to your end. if you refund i would consider tat but for now. i would never use kayak again and will post my experience"

Contras: "When I checked in on line, I was asked to choose my seat. However, there were no seats available that were free of added charge. I had to pay another $50.00 for a seat. I do believe, when I have a confirmed ticket, I should not have to pay an additional charge for a seat."

Contras: "I never could figure out why the flight was delayed, there were a couple of other delayed AA flights too. I was supposed to get to Toronto at 2pm for a 5pm presentation, but I didn’t get in until 9. I also felt their website was deceptive or maybe needs updating,When I bought my ticket It stated that I would get 3 bags complimentary since it was Canada that wasn’t the case, I was charged for $60 for both."

Contras: "Plane was late missed the connecting flight. Aer Lingus/American Airlines refused to help us find another flight to Dublin. I called Vagama customer service and the attended refused to help get an additional flight or confirm our returning flight would be held."

Contras: "My daughter is in a wheelchair. She was a carry on (I e I carry her on board). The staff knew this but failed to notify the airport. Hence, we had to deplane without a jetway. I didn’t. The steep stairs made it unsafe. Had to wait a long time for a handcranked lift. No one really knew what they were doing and they wanted to put her in an adult wheelchair in spite of my identifying safety issues. My daughter was scared and upset. Epic failure on AA’s part. Communication breakdown on many levels. Shameful."

Prós: "Great Wifi! After reading bad reviews it was actually ok. Flew business on the A319 (single aisle plane) and it reminded me of qantas 737. I think for a short haul day flight I may just put up with economy instead for the price. Food is ok. I think with AA you have to pick your aircraft, it makes a difference what plane you fly as to what you get in business class. FA's were great. Overall I'd fly them again. Food was ok."
Contras: "They asked everyone to put the window shades down but I fly window seat because I like looking out! It was a day flight too! LAX T4 lounge is being refurbished so you need to go to T5 and make sure it's not the regional lounge!"
Prós: "The crew were wonderful and very attentive. The food was excellent and served almost continuously - and free! Seats were comfortable and roomy enough to move around. Flight was not full and we were able to lie down to sleep a little."

Whenever I would ask for a napkin (that she had forgotten to give with my drink, I might add) or any other questions, she would come off as annoyed and as if I was testing her patience, which I did not appreciate as I had been having a horrible experience with American Airlines as it was. Also, why do you not serve milk with your coffee? The flight only served half and half, and I cannot have cream in my coffee at all. So unless you want to clean up my diarrhea in your toilets, I suggest you start giving options. It's not like milk is a scarce delicacy in the US. How is it that other airlines offer both milk and cream, but I get told by your staff, rudely, that half and half "is milk" and that it's all you have? Unbelievable. I hate to be a b*** but honestly this isn't the first time that I got treated like this on AA. I always seem to have a horrible experience with this airline."

AA staff would not pay for a hotel for being so late to Toronto because the wether was not thier fault, which I agree. But the lack of staffing was and a hotel should have been provided to me due to this. I will never fly America Airlines again due to my incoming flight to Toronto and the out bound to Philadelphia (cancelled on the way to Philly for no apparent reason)."

Prós: "The entire experience was great. All the employees were kind and courteous. Flight to Phoenix arrived early and return flight to Omaha was on time."
