My fiance and I enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was clean, and incredibly reasonably priced. It was perfectly located on the metro, and it was easy to get anywhere in the city. The neighborhood is lively and had tons of shops and food for a quick dinner.
Excellent place. non-english speaking housekeeping.
Very friendly personel. They speak many languages. Direct metro to Gare dur Nord. Not a romantic area.
location, cleanness, room no breakfast included
Reception Crane leakage
The people working were very friendly and helpful and it is a handy location
too expensive for the small rooms
Room was nice and clean. Great view of Eiffel tower from the room window. Location was close to the Pigalle metro, so getting around paris was a cinch. There was a laundromat and a supermart on the next alley. Useful for extended stays like we had for 4 days. wifi internet in the room was great. Small room but this was to be expected for this price point. No really a negative for us.
Location close to metro and buses, easy to reach. Located in the red light district of Paris. No climatisation in the room (the room was very hot) Bed was small
Close to Moulin Rouge so you do have to take the metro or bus into the main part of the city. One of the tourist bus lines has a stop nearby.
Great Locatio despite all the sex shops. Thats attraction also. Great staff always there to help you. small room but very ok for Paris. it was very Clean no closet.
Very good service. Clean rooms and good location to the Pigalle metrostation.
Hotel was clean and staff pleasant. Breakfasts were very good value for money. The location.
The atmosphere of the hotel No
Clean , modern good location
Resteraunt and church up the hill Lack of help with resteraunts from staff
The room was comfortable and cosy because of nicely selected colors and materials. For Paris and the price it was quite large. Nice and clean bathroom. Our room was noisy because of the thin door towards the corridor. There was no cupboard or shelf to put clothes
Location, cleanliness Our room opened onto the dining room so was noisy in the morning
minimalist design, spacious room, good location, excellent customer service lack of fridge and coffee making facilities - shower's a bit messy
The location is amazing - after viewing so much of paris - returning to blanche/pigalle is like beginning a new party but the hotel is soundproof so is up to you whether you want to continue or go to sleep. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy but very small - just the space for queen bed and two little side walks to get in it. The bathroom is the same as a big rainforest shower takes up a lot of space but to be honest it's worthed.
The staff was excellent - very friendly and good restaurant recommendations in the area. The rooms were clean and the showers were awesome. There is a strange odor in the elevator.
.Large bath tub. Upgraded us to a larger room for free. Area was sketchy. Bathtub no shower. Wifi wasn't great. Large room wasn't really big.
Room was great, staff was great While we could see the Moulin Rougue from our place, the location isn't the nicest considering all the shops around it.
The location is great, clean rooms - toilets . Fresh towels everyday. good restaurants nearby - even indian. like most Paris budget hotels - small lift - thin walls & thin breakfast
The hotel is in the perfect spot, close to everything, ideal if you like to be in the heart of a busy city. Darkness of the stairs and the meagre breakfast.
great location and great personnel
location and service
The staff was very kind and helpfull. Hotel is on a great location for exploring the city.
Near Metro station, low rate, cituated close to city center, helpfull staf, no problems with cleaning of the room, alternative breakfast places close to the hotel No repairs carried out in the the room for many years, small double bed, very small breakfast restaurant, bathroom not in to god condition, very small elevator and dark narrow stairs
This is a amall familly owned hotel which brings a personel touch to customer care. It is very well situated in a lively area of Paris with an excellent choice of restuarants on the doorstep. It is also well serviced by public transport - buses taxis and metro. It is within walking distance of many of the sights of the city. Nothing
This was a very disappointing experience (room deco is very dated, wall have not seen paint for years, carpets where very dirty, room smelt of smoke even though we asked for non-smoking room). Was really disappointed it spoilt my visit to Paris)
great location, value for money, comfort coffee for breakfast
Location was good, easy to find. Reception staff very friendly Breakfast was very basic
The location is very nice. 4 min. walk to the nearest metro, 2 min. walk to the parking place (car parking costs € 20 per day!) and a 10 min. walk to Montmartre. The staff are friendly, the hotel is clean and the rooms are nice. The breakfast was a bit lean (3 type's of bread, ham, butter and some marmelade + 4 type's of cereal), but thats typically french i believe. The rooms were a bit noisy, but it wasn't bothersome.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortably warm.
exciting area of paris, but a nice quiet street no
good breakfast, good cleaning service Only one key from the room. Some towels are pretty old (aren't dirty, but just old) and have to be changed.
the location was superb
The central location-convenient for shops, restaurants, metro. A very lively area. Exellent atmosphere.Hotel staff friendly and helpful.
Good location in terms of Metro trains and restaurants Rooms are small and not airconditioned
Location just around the Mouline rouge - which means everything that goes with it. Not best option for the family travel, but good enough to spend a night when exploring Paris nighlife. Very small rooms and very slow wi-fi.
All personel very friendly and helpful!Reception is open 24hrs. Small but clean room. The hotel is very close to the moulin rouge, which means it is also situated in the red light district. The parking does not belong to the hotel, but is nearby and the costs are much higher than published. 26euro per 24hrs.
Hotel Staff was very polite. Not far from the everything. Worth to stay if you do not plan to stay very long.
yes no air con
Reception staff was friendly 165 Euros per night and no hot water in the morning! Thought that hot water is not a luxury in 21st century in Paris - but it looks like it is.
The staff friendliness & good location The breakfast was very poor
Very clean, good transport links, and bars/restaurants nearby. The room was small, and ok if you were less than 5''7" tall as the bed was very low and small. The shower was also too low down. There was no information about hotels services given by hotel staff or provided in the room.
The rooms were very nice and clean, at a level one would expect to pay a lot more...
staff helpful, ease of access to restaurants and central paris coffee making facilities needed in room
Rooms are very nice with plenty of space which are Modern and clean. Rooms contain kettle with tea and coffee, fridge and safe which are all free. The breakfast was not fantastic and quite expensive.
seperate toilet from bathroom came in handy when we had friends over to get ready to go out in the evening; the location was very good for Moulin Rouge/Sacre Cour area; quiet staff was not very helpful with recommendations for dinner
breakfirst room not good
Great location and near metro stop. Easy parking. Plenty of restarants nearby.
One employee from the breakfast room was extremely rude.
Lovely staff, very helpful. Rooms were very good. Great location. Breakfast was expensive.
Very good location. Nice rooms and friendly stuff. Not understandable room cleaning schedule. One day You have to wait until 16:00 for cleaned room, but for example on Saturday and Sunday somebody tried to access the room starting from 9:00 and every 20 min.
location to nearby facilities and downtown length of time to check in
The rooms were nice, redone. The bathrooms were a good size, and the beds comfortable. Our room was big, with two twin beds, but we saw some of the others rooms with a double bed, and they were really small. The elevator was tiny and very old and there was a lot of noise. Not from outside, but from the hall and the other rooms.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and all spoke excellent English. We generally had a very nice stay in the hotel. The room was smaller than we were expecting from the picture; the website made the executive room look like it was a double, but in actual fact the double didn't have that much room. The first room we were given also had a wet duvet (apparently because it was sprayed with febreeze, but they must have emptied the cannister onto the bed in that case). The only other issue was the noise for those who want to lie in - the cleaners don't really accomodate for those who want a quiet lie in and a cleaner tried to get into our room while we were still in there!
very near to the metro. room is big though the bath is slightly small. my room smelled rather strongly of paint.
the location Everything costs
(+) In general, the quality of the hotel, the modern interior design and very nice rooms. The friendship of all staff it was fantastic (Miss Elena and Miss Vanessa are very nice and kind). The location it is great, near the bus station and metro "Pigalle". The breakfast it is also ok. (-) The rooms are small and at the night it is a noisiness street because the bars and discos.
location noisy at night time until 2-4am because pubs and bar around is too close to hotel
The hotel was good but pricey
Hotel very nice and clean, also found the bathroom very clean, which is very important. Could have been a bit more room to walk around, also coffee/tea making facilities would have been good
Very Clean. Noisy outside & thin walls, however for an "excutive" room it was quite small.
it is near a public parking no complaints
I loved the fact that the hotel was so central and this was the main reason we booked it. It is situated literally next to the abesses metro stop. The staff were quite good and were always there to let us in whatever time of the night we arrived home. The bed was comfortable! I also liked the fact that the cleaners didn't come around until after one so didn't disturb our lie ons The small size of the room (room 10) was a bit of a pain. This could be helped by removing the writing table in the corner as there isn't really room for it. If the bed was a bit higher off the ground we would have been able to slot our suitcases under it which would have been handier than balancing them on the wardrobe. We found the hotel very warm at night and had to leave the window open at night, which resulted in me being bitten alive by an unknown bug on the first night! However, perhaps if we had mentioned it the hotel may have been able to turn it down. The towel rail and tissue holder in the bathroom were quite rusty which was a bit disappointing. The shower was not clean on arrival with hair etc in it.
Initially the hotel was difficult to find as there is only a single door way entrance. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lift was the typical tiny French lift. The room was overly decorated but was spacious enough with a great view of paris from the window. The lighting in the room could be a little brighter especially if you wanted to read.
The location of the hotel is perfect, in the heart of the Montmartre district. The bathroom was really a bit too small and the sound of people rolling their luggage at all hours outside in the place des Abbesses was very annoying indeed (our room was on the first floor). The breakfast was not worth its price - we had better and cheaper breakfasts at The Coquelicot, almost next to the hotel.
very central leaky washbasin
Location is fantastic. Lots of cafes, restaurants, Everyone in the area speaks English Our room needed many cosmetic repairs.
Friendly and polite staff Excellent location
Fabulous location and great value Overpriced breakfast
The location was exellent! Friendly staff, clean room. It was really good! No, It was really good considering the price! (The elevator was a bit small, but you can't change that :o)
We had comfort room for one night and then privilege for next two night. Privilege is worth of its' price. It has just amazing view on Paris!!! Hotel itself has grate location. A lot of wonderful restaurants around. You don't need to go anywhere to feel the Paris - everything you need is just next to you! Rooms are cosy and stylish.Little shabby but fot me this was also one of elements of its' special climat. The staff was kind and helpful. I liked the place very much and for sure will come back!
Having stayed in the area before, we found that being just up the hill from busy Pigalle it was alot quieter and picturesque. We payed a little extra for a privilege room on the Fourth floor and had a fantastic unspoilt view of the Eiffle Tower which our Daughter was thrilled about. There was a good choice of cafes and restaurants all on your doorstep but if you wanted to venture further afield the Abbess Metro station was a few steps away. All in all a clean, good value for money hotel that we would definately stay in again.
The cleanliness of the hotel. The location was horrible for a woman with a child. The Pigalle is not a neighborhood that I would choose again. I did not feel safe. Also, one incident with a drunk guest at 4am contributed to my feeling of the unsafe area.
Breakfast No ventalation, shower was broken & pillows were poor.
the location of this hotel was fantastic for going out and about in Paris , we didn't spend alot of time in the hotel but the breakfast service was very good and the desk staff friendly and very helpful. I thought the room was a bit small and thankfully we were on the first floor as the lift was small and took forever to arrive
Receptionists very helpful, the breakast good. A lovely breakfast/bar area with some interesting features in the lounge. The hotel is only about 200metres from the Blanche metro and 400metres from Place de Clichy where the sex shop frontier stops! Also an easy walk to the Galleries Lafiyette Location was very 'interesting' set amongst the sex shops with occasional prostitutes walking nearby. Initially it put you off a bit but later we did'nt really notice it. The rooms could do with a refurbishment but they were both clean and functional.
breakfast, room cleaning the location was a bit seedy
It is well located and the view of the room was wonderful it can be a bit noisy
Hotel staff helpful and breakfast was nice. Hotel has ann old historic feeling.and near the bus route. There could have been small kettles and coffee in the rooms for the guests, especially when you come in late.
The art-deco lift is cute. We had nice views of the Sacre Coeur from our room.
The staff were very pleasant and the hotel is situated between 2 Metro stations, Very easy to get around the city, We went to Moulin Rouge and it was just around the corner. Perhaps the room was a little small for 2 people but I was expecting that as this is normal in France.
Pleasant welcome, comfortable and spacious room. creaking floorboards
Location is very good Is old and derty
location and friendly staff no
Rich breakfast Buffet, excellent location, close to city center and metro, plenty of bars and cheap places to eat nearby, excellent value for the money(65 euros per night in november) Staff doesnt speak good English and isnt friendly. Small rooms suits for travellers who isnt going to spend much time in the hotel
Very close to bars, restaurants and sights
The location, near Sacré Coeur, in a quiet street.
Pleasant staff, pleased to find a lift, good breakfast. Narrow corridors, room particularly small, sound insulation could be improved
Helpful staff, nice breakfast. Comfortable room with a good view over the balcony, free Wifi TV wasn't correctly tuned, had to make a second visit to reception to obtain wifi code. Some issues with reservation
The bilingualism and hospitality of the workers at the reception. Interrupted internet connectivity.
What I like the best was the location of the hotel and very friendly staff at the reception. The breakfast was terrible, we stayed for five nights and every morning we're eating the same, it wasn't continental at all and I really missed hot food there, ham and fruit and vegetables. Also the price for breakfast was unacceptable. We had to eat outside anyway.
The location of this hotel is excellent. In previous years they had English newspapers, but on my latest visit they didn't have these. With no English TV stations, this left me without any news.
Great location close to two metro stations & lots of local cafes, bars, cinema & shops Internet access was haphazard
Wonderful location, quiet street, beautiful foyer, lovely rooms. Close to Sacre Coeur, close to restaurants and other amenities. All very tasteful. Male receptionist on morning of 7 September was notably pleasant and helpful. Receptionist having long, loud conversations on the telephone while we were trying to relax in the otherwise peaceful foyer. The hotel was a bit pricey even compared with London, for example, accentuated of course by the weak pound against the euro.
Location, cleanliness of the room, very pleasant and helpful staff.
The very helpful and welcoming staff Our groundfloor bedroom was a little noisy
Location Cost of breakfast when good bakeries are across the road. Why not just offer coffee and croissant for around 5 Euros as that's all most people want but are not prepared to pay 13 Euros.
Very quiet room. Great for sleeping off jet lag. Excellent location. Lots to walk to. Easy to reach by metro.
Personalized service, hotel location Small rooms/bathrooms
Great location in the charming Montmarte, agree with all of the positive comments made about the hotel, after staying in good but somewhat impersonal hotels throughout Europe, Le Relais stood out as a small delightful and comfortable place to stay and explore Paris, not to mention Vincent who was as expected charming and helpful, as were all of the staff who made us feel welcome, would happily stay there again. Have to agree the breakfast is pricey for what was on offer, so like others have done we just walked around the corner to one of the many cafes.but this is the only negative in what was a very positive stay
Very helpful reception staff, comfortable room and ideal location with lots of restaurants within walking distance Noise from lift on occasion
The peace and quiet of the hotel yet within walking distance of many restaurants and places of interest
good clean room and the staff no
Great location in the middle of Montmartre. A lot of nice small restaurant nearby.
I always stay at the Moulin this was my 5th time!
All staff were extremely kind and helpful. We felt at home and were treated in the best manner possible.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as they could. More pillows and more light in the bathroom.
Staff where helpful and spoke french and english. Location was excellent close to main cafe/restaurant street at the butte of Montmartre, and around the corner from the Moulin Rouge and 2 metros. Free internet. The rooms are quite small and have a few odd light fittings and switches, it is in the process of being done up slowly by the owners so don't be surprised to find some rooms are nicer then others
The location was good, nice area, good atmosphere and excellent shops and cafe's. Too expensive
Location is perfect, in the middle of Montmartre.
Nice location. Silence in internal yard. Average price. Helpful staff. WiFi. We asked the room with view into the garden (yard). But have obtained ground floor or something like -1 (small building in the yard). Number was dirty and narrow (especially for 2 persons). The tv, hairdryer and old refrigerator were in room. Other facilities were outside, in hall. I think this hotel is expensive student hostel (for students from Korea), but not ** hotel. The neighbour hotel is less expensive but seems to be better (but without WiFi). I think it's possible to find other hotels with better quality-price ratio on famous hill. The information about Hotel du Moulin are presented on web-site in deformed form. отель напомнил обстановку, с которой встречаешся при отдыхе в крыму дикарём!
The location was great The shower was not very good
Perfect location for my needs, particularly this neighborhood has 2 Metro stations. The smell of Chinese food throughout.
