The hotel is in a great location and the lobby and other public facilities were beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We also liked that there were several restaurants all within the same square as the hotel. The rooms were tiny and the bathroom made me feel a bit claustrophobic. Also, the Internet only worked during the day.
The staff was helpful when I had questions. Although helpful, I still came away with feeling they wanted to separate guests from their money as quickly as possibly. They were not warm and did not exhibit the hospitality I come to expect from today's hotels. Two examples: On checking in, I specifically asked for a quiet room away from the elevator. Although the relatively room was quiet it was next to the elevator. Unfortunately, because of my jet lag, I didn't realized this until I'd occupied the room. Why would the check-in clerk not consider my request? The second day, leaving the breakfast area I saw a huge cockaroach. I took a picture and sent it to the hotel by email to be discrete about it. They thanked me for the information and said they'd take care of it. When I checked out a bit later in the morning, the clerk told me an exterminator would be there in half an hour. Great for them. But never once did they say they express any need to be forgiven for having a dirty place. They didn't even comp me for the unpleasant experience. I just don't get it. If you want to sell yourselves as a four star establishment you can't just be superficial about it. You have to deliver through and through which is consider this place to be a wanna be four star. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for authentic hospitality and superior service. By way of comparison, I was in Paris 2 years ago and stayed in a two star hotel in the same area and found the service to be of much higher quality. Next visit, I'll go back to them.
Staff. Clean. Location. Room a bit small. No morning coffee. No free breakfast.
staff was very friendly however hotel infrastruture was not good the elevator hardly coulf git one person and room was extremely small as eell as the breakfast area
Location No frills, excellent Hotel
the staff was very kind and the demand for a nice view was respected.breakfast was served at very practical hours and it was very nicely located.the elevator was really nice and aristocratic. our room was not ready by 5 pm in the afternoon by a mistake and the cleaning lady did not want to do it late in the afternoon. so we spent a night in another room and then we have changed it. but the staff has offered us the breakfast in order to compensate which was kind.
nice and courteous staff, location of the hotel was perfect , especially for a family with little child ( jardin de luxemburg with playground is 3 minutes away)
Location The concept of hte hotel is definitely nice. The execution is tired, however. Curtains ripped, very dark rooms (not enough lighting and 3 out of 6 lightbulbs in livingroom were not functioning upon arrival), old mattresses, an extremely uneven sofabed, not enough cutlery/glasses, the only drawer cabinet had 2 out of 4 drawers not functioning (storage space is already very limited for an appt for 4) and the 2 nightstands had click drawers that did not click shut anymore. No major thing, but unacceptable for a comparatively (London, Berlin) top notch price.
The staff was absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful! The room was also very beautiful and comfortable! Everything was amazing! Would not change a thing!!
Location is very optimal and the stuff is very helpfull. Elevators
Excellent location and extremely helpful and friendlt staff
Quiet hotel, good location, reasonable amount of space Pricing on hotel web site did not match booking.com pricing.
I have a sweet spot for Luxembourg Gardens, so this hotel could not have been in a more perfect spot. Huge bonus, it's steps from RER B, so getting to and from CDG could not be easier!
The location is very good, 100 meters from a RER (train line that connects to the metro). Breakfast was ok. We were surprised in a negative way when we got to our room since the pictures from the site showed a better looking and newer room, however when we arrived it was not that way. When talking to the staff they said that the room we saw was in a category above the one we had paid.
location was great, metro 1 minute away, great staff. Very comfortable beds.
The location is very nice for exploring Paris. We also liked the warm atmosphere in the Hotel lobby with a nice woodburning fireplace. Unfortunately, in our room (number 35) you smelled the fireplace in the lobby severely. Especially with the window open but als with the window closed. We found this very unpleasant to sleep in. Also the space for having breakfast is too small to handle all guests.
very good location The room is smaller than my expectation
Great price and good location, 5 min from the metro and various buses. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Not far from even more restaurants in the Latin quarter. Friendly staff. Although it was very clean and nicely furnished and in good condition, some of the paint was peeling in the bathroom, which might disturb some people.
Nice quiet room, nicely decorated. Beautifull bathroom. Good lounge, friendly staff. There was a problem with the water one morning, but it was fixed very soon.
The location of the hotel is excellent - right in the heart of Quartier Latin. 1 min walk from the Sorbonne university. Very clean and nice.
Very good location. Comfortable clean and simple Breakfast not included
we've stayed at this hotel many times and love the very polite, helpful staff, the service provided is perfect, and we love the location non, NOTHING!
Staff were lovely and it's in a great location - next door to the Luxembourg gardens. Probably would br even nicer in spring/summer when the weather's warm but it was so cold we didn't get to hang about too long! The room we had was small (but so are most hotel rooms in Paris) and pretty basic but it was clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money and would definitely recommend it.
