Location! This hotel is located right on top of one of the major metro stations, which made getting around the city super convenient. Room quality, amenities, and service weren't quite as great as other luxury hotel brands, but were still far above average. Aside from a minor screw-up at check-in, I had no complaints. Noise. Being situated on such a main thoroughfare, you get a lot of street noise, even at night. HVAC. Our room was always hot! We had to crack the window just to keep it comfortable, especially at night while trying to sleep.
I arrived at 10 pm . there was no room for me !!! as alternative and as no other options they let me stay in a very poor room - (hotel staff room) I asked for a full credit for this nigth and the promised to apply and credit me
Great location, very family friendly and comfortable.
Location, easy access to city centre, museums and shops. Nice view over the place de la rebublique. Small room
Well decorated, the rooms looked nice. In this case the location was very convenient Air Conditioner didn't work TV did't work The wireless internet would drop out for several hours at a time The pillows were very thick and very hard... not suitable for sleeping
Hotel was well placed and Metro close by, Good quality for the money paid Rooms are a bit on the small side and expensive to eat or drink in the hotel
The Hotel was very good would stay again No
location and professional staff concierge was very helpful no free wi-fi (most hotels it is free) hard to control temperature in the room room service is too slow
we were in a great location, the staff were very helpful with anything we asked for and the rooms were so clean and comfortable
location was excellent, twenty minute walk or quick metro ride to Seine and Notre Dame.Metro station two minutes walk away. good view from room onto square with view of Eiffel Tower in distance. Well proportioned room, friendly and helpful staff.excellent choice of restaurants and bars in vicinity.
The location was excellent with good food in the hotel's restaurant and many good restaurants next door to hotel
Very nice and clean hotel.Helpful and friendly staff.Good location.
The staff were extremely welcoming and efficient When made the complaint re. pull out bed, the person on duty was not flexible at all.
The room was nice and delicate with TV, Nespresso machine, and wonderful products in the bathrooom (l'occitane products, bathrobes etc). A big plus for the nice balcony and view of the rooftops of Paris. The breakfast was good, and it was served in original settings in a pink designed room, with i.e. a "pill-bar" where you could choose different vitamin pills to go with your breakfast. The first morning we woke up there was no hot water in the shower, so we had to shower in ice cold water. The staff explained that this was due to some technical problems and the hot water was back that same afternoon/evening. We also asked the staff to bring us a third bathrobe and coffe-cup, since we had booked a room for 3 people, but we never got this.
This is a very nice and pleasant hotel to come back to after a day of sightseeing. I love the bathroom especially. Makes me feel welcomed. the wi-fi signal was a little weak but I shouldn't be complaining since it's complimentary.
I have never seen such a dirty hotel in my life! I have paid 170 for a night, just to feel like vomiting any time I have looked to all the hair hanging everywhere in the bathroom, or at the stains on the bed sheets! I have never seen such a dirty hotel in my life! I have paid 170 for a night, just to feel like vomiting any time I have looked to all the hair hanging everywhere in the bathroom, or at the stains on the bed sheets! Besides, I have felt totally insecure.
Great L'Occitane products in the bathroom. Helpful staff. Nice decor.
Location was good and the room and bathroom had a good size for 3 people. It was always cleaned and warm. Bath products are never replaced and one of the guys at the front desk wasn't helpful when asked about information to leave the city.
Good location, close to metro, nice little hotel Breakfest is not inclusive, EUR 16 too expensive
The ducks in the bathroom, the bar, the very nice clean bathroom and gym. Helpful staff. French lavender outside the front door. Lovely flowers in the common areas. Great breakfast. Liked the whole design. Especially liked the bowls of sweeties in the bar.
The staff works very hard to make you feel comfortable. The L'Occitane products are a big plus!
The staff were all very helpful and courteous; Decoration original-- apples on the pillows and a rubber duck in the bath! Loved the L'Occitane toiletries--What a treat! Asked for a non-smoking room on reservation and confirmed upon arrival at the hotel. Room air was great when we arrived, which is not always the case even when it is supposed to be a non-smoking room. Unfortunately, despite indication of Non-smoking floor, the hall reeked of cigarettes second day, and smoked out our room the rest of the visit.:(
Position and size of room Did not think breakfast matched the standard of the hotel
Convenient location. Good room
The hotel was comfortable if compact and the location was good. It was a little noisy from traffic at the front
one room was very large and one room was very small. the staff was very considerate and friendly.
hotel was very nice.. none.
Brilliant room comfort & design. Cool, trendy atmosphere whether breakfast or dinner. Breakfast is great & dinner exceptional...try the cocktails!
Very quiet! Bed comfortable. Staff very nice. Just the shower on the cord is annoying. Prefer fixed shower head. Hallways too dark.
There was not one good experience that I can say about The Murano Resort Hotel. Unfortunately, there was nothing positive that I can say at the Murano Hotel. The rooms are worn out. The furniture in them have burn marks on the tables as well as pulls and snags all over the fabric. The plumbing backed up in our room and we had to be moved to another room, and at night you hear gurgling in the pipes all night long. The hallways and rooms and elevators smell of smoke. There is no designated floors for non-smoking so you smell smoke from the other rooms. The hallways are so dark you can not find your key lock on your door with your key to enter your room. The hotels tv's did not work properly and very little channel selections. The hotel practices no enviromental/substailable practices. The did not even own an iron to use.
The staff were excellent at all times. Great design although a bit "hard". The prices of drinks in the bar were unjustifiable for a hotel guest. I may be wealthy but that does not make me stupid.
staff was great elevated bed platform was hazardous at night in low light
Location very good for reasonable price; very close to metro; staff helpful. Room smaller than expected;
patience et gentillesse du personnels franck
Good location. Ease of check-in. Friendly reception staff No
I found the Staff very friendly. And the location was very convenient with the Metro station just 2 minutes from the hotel.
Practical, very good location near public transport. Friendly and efficient staff. Small but comfortable, clean and quiet, nicely furnished room. The design, look and general feeling of the rooms is great. Unfortunately, this is not the case for the reception room which is rather bland and cold.
Very convenient location, near the metro and not far from the city centre. Room was clean and comfortable, if compact (this is Paris, after all!) but not unduly cramped. By no means luxury accomodation, which is hardly a surprise at this price level, but has some interesting design touches. Free wi-fi too! Plumbing is a little noisy - it's an old building - and you're left in no doubt when your neighbours are taking a shower! This is unlikely to be a major issue, though, unless you're a very light sleeper.
Clean, convenient position, WIFI, people elevator is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry slow and small
friendly atmosphere and great location small elevator not enough room to be in the elevator at the same time as your bags. Very small rooms but I understand that is normal for paris
Nice staff, good breakfast, proximity to Temple metro station. Not really in the middle of the Marais, quite a bit of noise from the very busy Rue de Turbigo.
Staff, location, original room very small dark inhospitable, need for relaxation in rooms not just a bed and a hard chair, satellite tv needs to work effectively giving a wider range of programs
Newly decorated room, quite spacious. The guy at the reception organised an extra early breakfast for me & my husband as we were leaving the hotel at 6am - he even got us fresh baguettes! Not enough tables in the breakfast room so sometimes have to wait (but they do provide free room service for breakfast). The bathroom was clean but not renovated to a sufficient standard so that the shower leaked and the basin smelled if the bathroom door was opened. No air con (but a fan provided, which was quite sufficient). The area around the hotel is not so hot either, felt slightly unsafe after dark.
location is not too bad for sightseeing in paris room is far too small, no airconditioning, breakfast is not enough variety, and can be very noisy at times.... + bed is very small (double bed not queen bed for 2 person)
Not very much to be honest The location was very poor and down an alley, it was the only hotel there and on an un-named road. Even the map they gave on arrival did not have the street shown, we had to ask them to draw it on for us. Also, there was no Air COnditioning as advised.
Great location and pleasant room
Excellant varied breakfast. Room decor very good. nice quiet street.
The hotel is very recently renovated and is clean and modern The hotel was advertised as having wireless Internet in the "entire" hotel, which was not the case there was only a weak signal on the ground floor lobby. As a business traveller this was extremely inconvenient and the staff made up all sorts of excuses rather than tell the truth about the lack of Internet service as they had advertised.
we used it as a base only, we did not eat thier through choice so cannot rate food, room was spotless clean towels daily. Right next to rebublique metro so transport easy.
the free wireless internet from our room was great! very few hotels in Europe have internet included. This is a great feature. Also, the hotel was situated close to the train station making it easy to get into the city.
Very comfortable beds, tea/coffee making facilities appreciated. Safe didn't work;reported that a light on the stairs was out, making the steps dangerously dark. No action was taken to remedy these defects
central to paris city no air con
Great Bathroom - huge tub, great shower. Room was a little small, internet didn't work.
beautiful area. staff was very friendly. hotel was cute. very nontouristy. our only issues with the hotel were probably indicative of most of paris. room was a bit small (but if you ask for one with a shower they will get you one), and paris is just pricey in general.
Good location, staff was very friendly and responsive, Breakfast buffet could be improved. We preferred the cafe across the street.
We were able to get rooms there on the final night of our stay. The staff were courteous. The breakfast was particularly good. Quite noisy and no bar although the rooms did have minibars.
Great location, great price and excellent front desk staff. Nothing. All was good.
I think it was to much money for the hotel and bfst
Kindness,Useful,Clean and Good Location!!!Especially Reception Staff is very good!
Location was very good The bathroom cleanliness was poor when we arrived- the shower cabinet also leaked. The bedside lamp was held together by sticky tape and the leg of the chair was broken. None of these issues were addressed by staff.
Nice location, excellent staff Very disapointing room. Dirty, internet not functionning at that time. I had problem with hot water in the shower, very expensive for the value.
Good Location - about 10-15 minutes walk from Pompidu Center Free Wifi in room Modern, very clean bathroom Old building with wood beams in the room - nice There was no electrical water boiler in the room - to make tea/coffee The room temperature controller did not seem to have any effect
easy access to metro. hotel room clean and quiet. with wifi and adsl no
We were very pleased with the hotel. The room was spotless, very comfortable and while not large, was designed to maximize every inch of space. We will definitely stay there again. There need to be hooks for towels in the bathroom
very good location, the best bed i ever slept in,very friendly reception
Most of the front desk staff were excellent: helpful and very friendly. it is a convenient location and there are many boulangeries and restaurants in the area. The room is decent for the price. Only one of the late night staff was an unpleasant and difficult man. He "joked" in an off-color manner for 10 or 15 minutes before giving us our room key. Unacceptable behavior.
The friendliness of the staff Being woken up for no reason
The staff at this hotel are very friendly and kind. They were always eager to help me navigate Paris and made sure that I knew where I was going when I walked out of their hotel. The lack of WiFi makes staying connected a little difficult, but there is a shared computer in the lobby if you are hard pressed.
Hotel offers a good value for Paris. Rooms was very spacious, well design and the bed was very comfortable. Front desk staff spoke english and was very helpful. Willing to even walk to the pharmacy to translate for us ! The breakfast was just ok. The service needs some twitching in this area.. Coffee was a bit strong and there is no option for an expresso or latte.
The Staff was very gracious and helpful to us, two newcomers in the beautiful city of Paris! We were very pleased with Hotel Gabriel and ALL staff.
Well designed hotel, in a convenient area, near the Marais. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the hotel was not always up to the expected standards. 1. Too expensive for the level of facilities (200 euros per night is too much). 2. The breakfast was really basic (for a 4-star hotel and above all, for a charge of 17 euros). 3. No working space (though this is the least of the hotel's weaknesses, as I'm used to very small rooms in Paris).
Friendly welcome from all staff. Very relaxed feel. Organic breakfasts were good as were the herbal infusion drinks from the menu. It was well located to see the sights of Paris
the shower was like a massage..it was powerful and welcomed at the beginning and end of a hard day sightseeing. And the staff on reception were of the most helpful kind, the main lady in particular was. a delightful place, and very central.
the staff is great and the location is perfect! It would be great if they could put few computers in the lobby for guests to use.
Convenience of location, good hotel for the price paid Too much heating in the rooms at night
Very nice hotel. The staff was very kind and helpfull.
very friendly hotel staff!
Staffs were really kind and hotel was new and clean. It was much better than the hotels I stayed before in that area, though the price was cheaper.
Staff are very helpfull and room has air conditioning.
Chambres renovees recemment Chambre du Rez-de-Chaussee sombre et tres bruyante
Size & ambience of room, decor, helpfulness of staff, convenience of location
The great location. Within easy walking distance to the main attractions & good local shops & resturants.
Excellent location. Decent size rooms for Paris. Modern rooms, with your own remote controlled A/C in each room. Staff very friendly and speak decent English. Great deal for 3 star hotel.
