I did not like that I had to offload some of my belongings out of my checked luggage. This was especially inconvenient as I had to deplane in Guatamala and go through their customs and security procedure all to get on the same plane 3 not so easy to get to gates over. And me with a broken toe, you can see how this would be not fun especially because I did not have any boarding pass or other information even telling me what gate I should be boarding at. It was really a small miracle that another passenger found someone to ask and I overheard the gate #. Stressful."

However, once I arrived I was told I was on a 6 AM on Delta with no arrangement to get me a hotel or anything. I bought a separate ticket on that 11:45 flight on Alaska Air to PDX instead. Extremely unhappy with this service and will never again use it. I will also tell everyone in my social circles, in person and online, to stop using it."
Contras: "We upgraded to business class but it didn’t make up for the old plane. It was loud, old and dirty, the crew was good. It was was a 5+ hour flight and it would have been great to be on a newer plane, which they use for shorter flights."
Contras: "Boarding very long. Plane left 45 minutes late, no explanation given. Crew too chatty on PA - had to keep earbuds in all the time. Luggage took an hour in LAX, with priority bags coming out last."

When asked to persuade certain travellers to put their seats in the upright position during mealtimes they refused and claimed that it is bussines of mine to arrange for that. In the course of previous flight they have hower required that. Very confusing. The behaviour and performance of the crew was hardly proffesional. They paid little attention e.g. To people who did respect instructions concerning fastening the seat belts orcto remain seated during landing, etc."
Contras: "The passengers on this flight from San Salvador to LAX were drunk and standing in the aisles and talking VERY loudly for nearly the duration of the 4.5 hour flight, and the crew did nothing about it. I asked the crew (a grumpy male flight attendant) if they are allowed to do that, and he merely grunted. The female flight attendants smiled at the large men drinking in the aisles and continued to bring them drinks. My boyfriend had a large man's butt in his face for the duration of the flight. Behind us a man was talking very loudly and obnoxiously about his travels to the point where his voice woke us up. The crew did NOTHING to mitigate the obnoxious behavior of the passengers, and allowed them to stand in the aisle for the whole flight, to the point where we felt claustrophobic and invaded upon. We were particularly surprised as we've heard that this violates airline policy AND the crew did nothing to even ask them to sit or to move to the back of the plane. In addition, it was very hot at the AC was not working above our seats."

What is exactly am I supposed to do in Bogota, Columbia for an unexpected additional 24 hours? I had no money, and my credit card wouldn't work there. This was the worst airline experience in my life. Absolutely horrible. I will never travel with Avianca again. Avianca staff spoke hardly any English, so I couldn't hardly communicate with them either. Horrible."

Prós: "Bag drop-off was quick and efficient for those checked-in online. Clean modern aircraft (A330) with decent space for economy class. Not spacious, but not cramped either. I felt comfortable for the entire six hour flight without leaving my seat. 2-4-2 seat layout in economy is pleasant. Food was satisfactory. From prior experience I know that the business class seats on Avianca's A330 are very comfortable with a lie flat 180 degree recline. Luggage delivery in Bogota is super-fast generally, although in this case it did not matter given the long immigration delay."
Contras: "Entertainment system took over 90 minutes to boot up properly, which also meant in-seat lighting was not working for this time. Immigration arrivals processing in Bogota took too long. Passengers were arriving without forms completed and immigration officers allowed them to fill them out at the immigration desks instead of sending them away. Queue control was unsatisfactory."
Prós: "Before our flight, several people were called to the check-in desk. These were obviously frequent flyers because later we saw these individuals sitting in Executive Class. Felt a little jealous, because I'm not a frequent flyer, but it was nice to see how Avianca takes care of its regular customers. Everything about the flight was first class, even if I was sitting in coach. The staff were friendly and helpful, the plane was comfortable--a 787, everyone's favorite--and the food was actually very tasty: chicken breast with a delicious green curry/salsa, some rice, green salad. Water and juices were available in the aft galley in between the meal and light snack before arrival. The entertainment offerings were terrific. If I hadn't had such great traveling companions to chat with, I would have caught up on some new releases I had missed, or one of the classics--"Singing in the Rain," "Citizen Kane," and much more. I don't know how you could improve the customer experience. Great job, Avianca!"

"I liked that once up, things ran more smoothly and we still landed on time despite a 45+ minute delay leaving the gate. The boarding process was another story. With the demand for proof of a negative COVID test prior to boarding by the US, Air France had just 2 staff members checking these tests results, collecting a paper affidavit of sorts also required by the US, and checking boarding passes and passports for an entire Boeing 777 full of passengers. There were other staff around This seemed preposterous. Then, when I finally boarded, the luggage was still be loaded onto the plane at 1:50pm for a flight schedule to leave at 1:15pm."
"I wrote a review to Delta already expressing my dislike of the fact that I could not get a seat assigned upon checkin or even at the airport until maybe 1 hr before my flight. The cabo representative (not part of the flight crew based from Los Angeles) was rude and not accommodating, so my wife and I had to sit separately, which was frustrating to say the least, given I had followed the entire online check in protocol, including uploading digital copies of my negative COVID-19 test."

I called the agency to find out if I needed a Visa for my visit to Australia and the told me no. So when I showed up to the airport I didn’t have the right documents and I MISSED MY FLIGHT. Also the wouldn’t just change my flight and charge me the change flight fee. They cancelled my flight entirely and made me buy a whole new ticket!!! Worst flight experience I’ve ever had and this is not my first time flying to Australia or out of country."

Contras: "I sat next to a creepy intoxicated man during my flight and I was not helped out. When I first sat down he was speaking to me and trying to hit on me but I showed that I wasn’t interested. I didn’t even have to sit down to smell the alcohol on him. During the flight he tried to place his head on my shoulder and tried to get close to me. I was too worried to call for an attendant because he was intoxicated but when the attendants would come and offer us food I tried to make it clearly visible that I was anxious and uncomfortable and NOTHING. To make it worse they continued to serve him alcohol!!"

Contras: "Tray table was broken, I was downgraded from Comfort plus to main cabin after a plane swap with no mention by anyone and no compensation. Flight was delayed 45 minutes because a flight attendant was running late and then to top it off, at the end of. The flight the attendants blocked anyone fromaim cabin from leaving until all of first class had departed, even when no one was coming they still Blocked it off. This is a practice I have never seen on delta and haven't seen in aviation in almost 20 years in the US"

Contras: "When I bought my ticket last Nov , I paid extra to select seats, only to discover no aisle seats available for the 15 hour flight from LAX to Guanghzou. I tried many times to call CSA LA office using toll free and regular number, but could never speak to a human. Last November 7 I missed my flight home due to the Thai King's motorcade causing the road I was on to be closed for more one hour. I arrived at the CNXairport nearly one hour before the scheduled departure time, only to find CSA check in counters already closed. CSA Bangkok made me pay for a one way ticket home on Nov 8 even though all 3 flights were not full. I arrived well I'm advance and checked in. CSA began boarding 30 minutes before the time shown on my boarding pass and closed the aircraft doors shortly aftethe boarding time listed. No wonder I missed my Nov 7 flight! I wrote CSA LA a letter including the receipt for the one way ticket and requested a refund or at least a reply or home call. I never received a reply. I have flown CSA/Delta from Detroit, MI to Chiang Mai, Thailand 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years. It seems they don't care about customer loyalty. In the future CSA will not be my first choice and I will pay somewhat more to fly another airline."

Contras: "Don't like how you don't get your seat assignment until you get to the gate. I was given the window seat in the very last row for a 6 hour flight, quite uncomfortable. I could've booked another airline for a similar price and picked the seat i wanted at booking. They ran out of food choices by the time they got to the last row, so we were given whatever was left. Delayed because one of the bathroom doors wasn't working, 30 min later still wasn't fixed and ultimately they decided to go without it."
Contras: "They were very dishonest about everything. We need to be there in Australia on Monday morning for very important event but reached Australia Monday night 8PM. Virgin Australia contatcted out their flight from SJC to LAX through Delta and Delta cancelled flights becaue no-show of Pilot to operate the plan. What a Joke???? We asked them to put us through another carrier to LAX for connecting flight they refused.Very very BAD. It was a big miss for us.. never again Delta/Virgin Australia.............."
Prós: "Staff on the plane was courteous although they skipped half of us for snacks & forgot some requests for water"
Contras: "Was not able to check in online. Was not able to select my seat online. I was told I would be able to do both of these things. Spent 30 minutes trying to find a number to someone at Delta to check in & select seat. I was in Australia & all Delta offices were closed because it was Sunday. Although I had an internationally calling plan, no calls to Delta US would go through. finally found someone through a back channel that would help me. We boarded an hour late, and staff would not answer any of our questions about what was going on or how late we would arrive (they sped up the fight so that we landed on time). Flight ran out of drinking WATER after the first service. Half of our section (Economy Plus) was skipped for snacks. An unruly child was allowed to scream for almost the entire flight & was running up & down the aisles. NOTHING was said to the parents by staff members. Was absolutely the worst behaving child with who I've had to fly."

Contras: "That we had to sleep like homeless people on the floor of JFK airport as the airline was not able to provide for a crew and therefore cancelled the flight. The airline cancelled the flight at 1.30 in the morning so no one was able to get a stay in a hotel not did the airline take any action towards helping the stranded passengers. We were given blankets and pillows. The best thing was the ground staff getting rude after all passengers complaining. They were basically saying we should get stuffed since we were booked for a flight next day same day. This is shameful! Needless to say that I will not fly this airline again!"

Contras: "I am disappointed by the lack of communication among Delta staff when we arrived at LAX. Our turn-around was late coming into SMF, thus late leaving. It would have been very helpful if the gate staff at LAX had advised me to not bother to try to make my connection, or called the next gate to tell them we were running over there. RUNNING. It is nice that you can play movies for free over WiFi on your phone or tablet (since the in-seat system simply didn't work...), but, bizarrely, the WiFi movie selection was different from (and substantially smaller than) the seat movie selection. What's that about? And the WiFi movie scheme is way more painful than it needs to be, requiring you "check out" movies using your web browser, then switch to a separate app to actually watch the movies. Clearly the product of a company mindset whose ONLY concern is "can we check some box", with absolutely no interest in "how can we delight our customers?""
Contras: "So we get the same entertainment system all these flights use: some ghastly totally non-optimized Linux setup that was rebooted three times during the flight, took 20 minutes for each reboot, and never worked correctly after any of the reboots. (The only movie my system would ever play was the very first one, and none of the on-screen controls worked. The seat next door could choose multiple movies, but each movie froze after 40 minutes). The amazing thing is: why don't they just install a damn iPad mini or Android equivalent in the back of each seat? Would be lighter than what they have today and would work FAR better. You'd need some co-ordinating/provisioning software to provide for OTA announcements and movie updates, but basically it's not that hard... At the very least, hire a Linux-head to optimize your startup scripts! It's just sad to see this 20 minute startup process (all dumped on the screen) with its constant repetition of time-wasting startup steps that just generate errors on this plane's particular hardware setup..."

Contras: "To change ticket I had to pay change fee plus fare difference. Copa said it was not their responsibility to notify passengers of health alerts and Kayak should be responsible. Needless to say I was on the hook for the time and the bill. I have flown Copa with satisfaction a number of times but this is enough to discourage me from ever flying them again and possibly ever using Kayak again."

As a result, we had to exit the secured area in Rio to go check in manually again for our connection and then go through security and customs again."

Prós: "- Flight in bound to Peru + 7 hrs late. Family of 4 separated. - Flight in bound to Cusco Overbooked. Sent us on a different flight. - Return flight from Cusco Bumped (+4 hrs late), promised voucher and upgrade due to all the previous issues. - Return flight out bound from Lima. Would no recognized any of the promises nor the inconveniences of the other flights and the promises. (In Lima all was denied by the land people but they kept on sending us from one person to another for over 3 hours until the final minute when all passengers where on board they said they could not do anything). Family was separated once again."

According to Latam, Virgin changed my flight and forgot to rebook my return home. I ended up sleeping at the Lima airport, paying out of pocket almost $2000 and having to fly through Miami. No one took responsibility for the fact my ticket was changed and I wasn't informed - unacceptable."

Just take a peek at their social media accounts. They don't allow reviews anymore but there is a community of people who have been stranded in South America by LATAM and the link is easily found. They seem to have a ploy to try and get people to buy extra tickets. Seriously a scam. Stay away!"

Prós: "Overall, Aeromexico staff in the airport were kind and friendly. Flight crew members were friendly, attentive and presentable. I appreciate the fact that Aeromexico still provides food and refreshments."
Contras: "Flight was delayed by approximately 30 to 40 minutes. However, I appreciate that staff kept us informed and updated on flight status. Since I hadn't reserved a seat, I got seated near the emergency exit. On a positive note, it's more spacious hence more leg room. However, you're not allowed to keep any items with you in case of an emergency during take off and landing. It seems that there was some type of entertainment on the TV screens but noticed they were on for less than 40 minutes and then they went blank for the remainder of the flight . I'm not sure if other passengers were offered headphones but I was not."
Contras: "When you have a family emergency the last thing you ever want to hear is that you are "completely full and you will need to wait until the next available flight". This ticket was purchased last minute due to an unexpected death in the family so it was the only option we had to get my uncle to LA asap in order to be with the family during such tragedy. We even bought the insurance on the flight to assure nothing went wrong but yet he was still left behind hours to wait for another flight and see IF THAT ONE had room. How is this even possible? Why would you even let us book if there was no room and why was he the one to be asked to stay behind? Is it because it was booked though you? because it was a third party booking and not direct? If so then it's not even worth the few dollars we saved if it means the flight will be unreliable and the insurance means absolutely nothing through you guys. Ultimately, truly disappointing and I know that we can not depend on booking this way again if in your policy it states this ist ok to do and not even compensate one bit for making your travelers go though this."

Contras: "A flight attendant put me on the spot, holding up a line of people on the plane, asking me to switch from a window seat to a middle to accommodate other passengers only to find out the reason being that the other passengers took up more than his/her one seat. I was elbowed the entire flights, couldn't even put the arm rest down , and had to rest my elbows on my hips to eat or drink anything. I understand it is not up to the crew to manager passenger behavior but the only reason I was put in that situation was due to the airline staff. I was extremely uncomfortable and after traveling for over 20 hours I was livid with how I was treated just because I am a small caucasian female."
Prós: "Good entertainment - polite crew that was willing to help once on board the plane."
Contras: "Boarding - Crew member came around to check passports but neglected to also check for immigration papers - caused one friend to miss his flight and myself nearly to miss my flight though we arrived two hours early. Checked my baggage when it didn't need to be checked / met appropriate baggage standards. Being loaded onto trams was a bit of an inconvenience - but not the worst thing ever. No vegetarian option for food - wasn't able to eat. It was indicated we'd be served dinner on board but not that there was only one meat option (I'm allergic to mammmal meat - beef and pork in particular). Most other flights give the option of meat or vegetarian dishes."
Contras: "The boarding crew had a bad attitude and wasn’t helpful. Also, once on the plane, i asked a flight attendant for help putting my bag in the overhead compartment and he said “if you can’t lift it, then why did you bring it? You should’ve checked it in.” The flight crew doesn’t realize they’re there to help. Overall, terrible experience because of the flight crew and boarding crew. Oh And flight was delayed too."

The people working for aeromexico should be more prepared to attend the costumer, i think they would be help us instead of force us to pay as the last chance that we had. Prós: "There was a ten and a half hour delay of which two hours was on a plane waiting on the tarmac with mechanical problems and two more hours waiting to be reticketed in the terminal. But the airline took care of us with vouchers for food, hotel and taxis. The crisis was handled really well. It was just miserable because we only got two hours sleep. I am glad this was just a once in a lifetime crisis and inconvenience. Maybe it was caused by Boeing who made the plane."

Contras: "The flight was delayed by an hour. I wasn't notified of luggage fees and had to pay in 1000 Mexican pesos plus taxes. My husband is handicapped and we had to be shuttled from terminal 2 to Tom Bradley. It was very inconvenient!"
Prós: "Crew was nice, check in people was nice too"
Contras: "The zonnes for boarding are not respected at all. The crew its handling people's documents in a rush and don't have the time to check what groups are boarding. The food was way too little. I've travel hundreds of times. This was the smallest meal I've ever had"

Contras: "Flight attendant seemed like have little attitude. Their attitude doesn't only express by verbal it even expresses by their eye contact and body language ."

Contras: "landing at LAX was a bit jumpy/scary, airport construction - not Aero Mexico's fault though."
Contras: "I was traveling with my 5 year old and we were the last to board since we were in the first rows . There was no space for our carry on since people from the back rows even took our spaces. Spaces should be left available . Flight also delayed . Will try to find another airline next time"

Prós: "The manager was really nice, and the customer service desk people were every nice too. I was compensated for being kicked off the flight, and they helped me re-book a direct flight to get home. The resolution was fine."
Contras: "Was kicked off my flight for some reason. It was not explained to me very well, but I gathered it was from another plane earlier in the day that was cancelled. I don't know how I was selected to be kicked off. The poor communication was very annoying. I stood at the counter for 45 minutes after the airline personnel took my STB ticket, and didn't tell me what was going on. Would have been a LOT more pleasant of they just told me the flight was full, and my name would be called if I was on the flight. Then I could at least sit down, instead of standing there for 45 minutes."
Prós: "The crew were very nice and the liked the movies they have available."

Contras: "If u over weight there make u go back to the end of the line and not for all the passengers"
Contras: "Charged US $300 to catch next flight after missing scheduled flight. They should have put me on stand by but refused. The flight they charged me $300 for was over 2 hours late causing me to miss my connection. There's more to the story than this. I was well early for my original flight and they still managed to screw me over. After I arrived late in LA and missed my connection the awesome folks at Virgin America simply put me on the next flight."
Prós: "Everything was good on LAX - MEX and MEX - LAX flights except the march trough terminal 2 at LAX to the bus to Bradley Terminal for customs at midnight. Not sure if customs are available at terminal 2 LAX at other times."
Contras: "Outbound on the flight from MEX to LAP seat 2A I think. Was extremely cold. Cold air was bling on me from a distribution duct just above the window. On the inbound flight LAP to MEX sitting in 20B I think, it was very warm... This would have been ok if the adjustable air vents worked... Neither vent for either seat A or B would open.. Crew were great, this may be Embraer problem. (Everyone tells me that they usually freeze on that flight!)"
Prós: "Nothing, as I was not allowed entry onto flight"
Contras: "Flight was overbooked and I was placed on stand by for no reason and was not accepted on the flight I had paid for"
Prós: "My husband's knees were pressed against the seat in front of him so much so as to cause indentations in his legs. fortunately the flight wasn't full and we were able to spread out over 3 seats. It was still quite an uncomfortable flight for him."
Prós: "Movies, drinks, I just wish it was a faster trip."
Contras: "Everything was great!"
Contras: "The flight was delayed 4 hours to Mexico and on our return to LAX our seats were RESOLD and reissued to other passengers and we were told we would be put on the first flight the following day! Heck no, we were not about to let that happen. Finally after multiple conversations with the "people in charge" we were able to be "accommodated" on the next flight- 6 hrs after our original flight. I called customer service for Aeromexico to submit a complaint for the awful experience, not once did they apologize for an inconvenience and make matters worse they said it was my fault my tickets had been re-issued. The customer service woman explained that "I had not paid for a seat on that flight that I had only paid for a reservation" therefor making all of this my fault. This is one of many reasons Mexico is so corrupt."

Contras: "The worst airline I've ever flown. Had to go through customs in Mexico and check my luggage also.???? I was just connecting! I would NEVER EVER fly this airline again!!! EVER! Seats are so small and uncomfortable and the bathroom so small had to maneuver so uncomfortably. Just a terrible experience."
Prós: "The customer service was excellent! There was a slight delay but nothing detrimental. The flight was very comfortable. There was plenty of leg room. There was entertainment with movies, music, etc. We were even able to track were our flight was on a map. The small meal was perfect to hold one over a 4 hr flight. The offered a good variety of beverages and coffee. They asked often if there was anything they could do or if we needed anything else. I am very happy I chose this airline."
Prós: "Actually, I was upgraded to business. So that alone made it pleasant. But the fact that the plane was new was also nice and the flight attendants were very friendly."
