Room was very quiet, despite overlooking Leicester Square. Fabulous location - very central Bed was too small - needed to be longer & wider!

We Loved Everything about the Radisson! You can not go wrong, the rooms are gigantic and with real king beds you get the most comfortable night sleep while in London out of anywhere! From the minute you walk in the door, the customer service is absolutely impeccable, they actually care about you, learn about you, remember you and it is so nice to feel that, especially after 12 hours of travelling across 8 time zones to get there. location the lifts were awful
The room and facilties were large for a London hotel at that room rate. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the robes that were provided The construction noise was very disruptive and precluded us from getting a good nights rest. The room was poorly designed with large furniture and made it difficult to move around the room comfortably.

The courtesy of the staff was very good and one was made to feel nothing was a bother. The room was very comfortable. There was a fair amount of outside street noise in the room which took a night to get used to.

The service and kind staff. 1. We booked a junior suite with "great view over London" and added to our booking request that this view was of the essence. The junior suite did not have such a view and the staff told us that no junior suite has such a view. Other rooms do. We feel mislead because an important part of the reason why we booked an expensive hotel/room was the view. 2. The hotel did not answer any of our 3 e-mails over a period of 2 months. 3. We called the hotel in order to double check our reservation. The reservation was not found and the hotel would call us back. They did not so we had to call them back.

A different experience. The staff greeted me by my first name which I like a lot. Interior design is cool, I loved candles in the bathroom. Couldn't log on to the Internet with my iPad although I was charged the Internet service - which was advertised as free upon booking :-(

A very modern hotel in a fantastic central location. The room was small but spotlessly clean and very comfortable. No coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Refused entry to the Light Bar because we hadn't booked - since when did you have to book to have a drink in a bar? This also meant we couldn't actually use the vouchers for the complimentary cocktails!

Perfect location for New Year, everything in walking distance, close to Trafalgar Square, easy access to Embankment for fireworks and New Year day parade passed front door...not to mention the hotel festivities, plenty going on in a stylish, refined way. We were only there 24 hours but thanks to location, facilities, easy relaxed feel of the hotel it was the ideal intensive enjoyment hoped for.
Its position It is not true that airconditioning system is controlled from the room. Actutally the system is not strong enough when there is a very warm climate in uk.
Great location to National Gallery, Piccadilly Square, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and gardens. Contemporary style, very comfy bed, staff polite and helpful. Free "slow" internet in the room-it was fast enough! Rain shower head. The shower was a bit small so the splashing water would sometimes puddle on the floor. No other complaints!
Modern elegance this hotel is one of the finest I have stayed in. Contemporary design Incorporated into the old world charm and classic design of the building, The location is superb I really can't get any more central than this. The stuff are wonderful, right down to the doorman, I've stayed there four times in the past six months, and i must say, it's so nice when the doorman greats you and welcomes you back to the hotel.
Over charger $2k with a forced apology
The location in Leicester Square was very nice, and the hotel seemed to be a popular place to visit. I received the worst treatment possible from the managerial staff. Firstly, even though they had my reservation, which was made and confirmed a month and a half in advance, they decided that they didn't have any room available for me to stay in when I arrived to check in. I found this to be very unprofessional since they could have called me or emailed me prior to my arrival at the hotel to give me a forewarning so that I could plan ahead as well. The situation was worsened by the staff then relaying this information to me in a very condescending manner in which they had the very unapologetic tone of "take it or leave it". Secondly, they decided that a fair way to "compensate" me would be by reserving a room in another hotel on my behalf, without any input from me regarding choice, and then giving me a ride to this new hotel. I specifically chose the W for my stay and did not choose the other hotel when making my initial plans. So, the manager felt he could take the payment for the room at the W, decide that they no longer have a room at the W, then deny me the choice of an alternative hotel, and all without the option of a refund. They said they were compensating me, but I feel that they cheated me greatly. It was terrible customer service. Eventually, I had no choice but to take their offer of staying at the other property, which I didn't want to stay in, since they were not going to make any room available for me at the W for the night. Truthfully, I feel there were a bunch of racial undertones and biases based on the unprofessional, condescending, unempathetic, and unapologetic tone of the manager and staff. I have stayed at many hotels around the world. This has been, by far, my worst experience with any hotel staff regarding a reservation.
The location was perfect for us. We were taking a weekend break to go to the theatre and shopping. We could walk out of the hotel straight onto the street surrounded by everything we wanted. We were amazed by the excellent use of space within the hotel. It was very compact but well thought through and comfortable. The staff were very polite and helpful. The complimentary wine and cheese was a big plus for us too. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants location in the West End. A little noisy from the street at night but didn't matter too much as it was a leisure break and not business.

I really liked the room, it was just enough room for the two of us, and the bed was really comfortable! :) we got upgraded to a room with a window, so that was excellent! The room smelled a bit because of the room not having a working fan after our showers, so there was a lot of condensation in the air left over.
Location Location Location. Being in the center of town, I had the ability to stop off at Hotel Z to drop off bags, freshen up, take a break before moving on to next neighborhood on my itinerary. Tube stop directly to Heathrow a couple of blocks away made arriving and departing soooo easy. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Room was modern, quiet and clean. DEFINITELY plan on staying again. While I knew I had booked the smallest room, and was happy with it overall, the in ability to open a window for fresh air was a little frustrating. Issues with the a/c were promptly addressed, although an open window would of been a better solution. It was only because my stay was for 5 nights that this bothered me. Next visit I'll book a larger room with an open window. :-)
The best part of the hotel was it's location. It is located in a great part of London, a very busy part of London. The staff was pretty nice and there were always around to help. Well the worst part of the place was probably the size of the room and the bed. I knew my room would be tiny but for the price I paid it was crazy. The room could barely fit your luggage and yourself. A constant maneuvering around everything. The bed was the worst bed I have ever slept in. Want to know what it is like to sleep on a rock or the ground? Well come to this hotel to find out. This bed was so stiff I would wake up every morning in some sort of back pain. It was ridiculous that this is possible in a modern hotel. It's a budget hotel but seriously just get a slightly softer bed as this was ludicrous.
Everything about this stay was great. The room was beautiful and clean, the bathroom was spacious with lots of shelf space for our stuff. the staff was wonderful. the location is ideal, and they had a big lounge for guests. It's expensive but worth it.
Location. There is nothing to say about the hotel, is normal 4* hotel, nothing to complain but nothing to admire. Nice bar. I was staying alone in double room, for one it was ok. for two would be definately small.
Location is excellent, v close to Charing Cross and Embankment underground stations and walking distance to Leicester Square and Covent Garden. Bathroom small-ish and towels were old but functional. Shower was reasonably strong and water was hot.
Location . Dislike. Booked non smoking big room with kitchen.Was given smoking room ( as if they just had held a smoking party).Eventually offered a non smoking room but much smaller and w/o kitchen . No reduction in rate ! This is truly a quarters but not hotel !
Perfect location for us. Minimum fuss. Good room and bathroom with everything we needed. The card check-in system and the lift operated by card - not obvious which way to do it and everyone we met felt the same. Needs rethinking
This hotel is "THE" place to stay. Location-Staff-Amenities-Location!!! Excellent location to walk around London en"Joy"ing the sites. Looking at the map you will immediately realize this is a premium place to anchor your rest area. A mere 100 yards from the Charing Cross tube station, this hotel offers a more quiet locale compared to the Piccadilly area (only 1 stop away on the tube). Before I was able to ask for an early check-in the front desk professional politely stated, "If you and your family would like, you may check-in now (at noon--3 hours early!!!). After flying on a 7 hour red-eye inbound these words golden to our bodies. This unexpected blessing let us rejuvenate with a 30 minute nap before we laced up our walking shoes. Without a doubt, this proved to be 'the most invaluable" act of kindness from the staff. According to our Fitbit we then walked over 20,000 steps and 10+ miles taking nearly 500 pictures and fondly did so with smiles--no way we could have done this without that early check-in and needed pre-rest I visited for a quick 24 hours trip (with 2 teenage kids) to gain intel for when rest of family comes so we'll be squared away. Fantastic experience! Please do yourself a favor and simply stay at the CQ Trafalgar Square. Now go to the next item on your travel checklist--the place to stay is solved. Lastly, remember that when writing and reading reviews, we cannot and should not evaluate others in their actions by using "our intentions" as the litmus test to criticize their performance. Translation: If I can only make porridge or PB&J's, I have no authority to critique one who "is" a chef but has different taste buds than my own. Enjoy your trip to this great city wherever you decide to stay and remember the reality of your trip--you are there for the city not the hotel. If anything is less than you believed prior to arrival, simply have a nicer dinner when you're out and bring the staff back a little sweet treat. Beautiful hotel centrally located in the heart of London's biggest attractions. Loved the ability to walk everywhere without ever needing a taxi. Wonderful stay and would recommend to close friends and family.
Staff was friendly, professional, and responsive. Clean, quiet, and modern rooms with big screen TV. Beds are comfortable and relatively new. We were able to check in early for a reasonable fee. Bathroom had no ventilation and you have to prop open the door to clear the moisture after a shower.

Location is fabulous for tourists and the room seemed pretty clean. I did my own wipe-down with wipes and there wasn't much left behind. Maid didn't replace my washcloth even though I purposely left it on the floor to indicate that I wanted a new one. Room was small and the view from the window was nothing but a wall.
Quality comfortable accomodation in central london at a fair price. The relationship between Club Quarters,The Grand and The Northumberland was a little confusing.
The hotel was being used for a film crew which limited the use of the hotel facilities.

Very centrally located The rooms were very small, but it worked out really well for us since we were there only for 3 days. Didn't bother us at all.

This is a no-frills property that trades off services for location. Smallest room I have ever stayed in over 30 years, 100+ properties and 5000 nights. The double room was 10x10 (feet) with no phone or closet. No laundry or room service Wake up service is a knock on the door. NOT FOR BUSINESS USE
Great location. Wine and cheese hour was a nice bonus TINY room. Barely enough room to move about. Shower head kept moving, it was like showering with a moving sprinkler. Water got into the room as a result because it was so small. The photos are misleading!!
The location was excellent. The design and materials of the room are modern and quality. It was very clean and there was a clear focus on quality. The towels were as soft and huge as any hotel I've been in. the TV was huge relative to the size of the room. The bathroom fixtures were all very nice and the toiletries were also nice. If you are willing to trade a lot of space for a lower price (well, lower price for London) then this can be a value. It's also good if you plan not to spend much time in the hotel as it's comfortable for sleeping. The reason the rooms are affordable is because the rooms are tiny. Seriously tiny...as in your bed spans the whole distance of a wall. There is no closet at all, and unless you get one of the larger rooms you'll have to put your luggage on the floor as there are no luggage racks. That's a bitt of a challenge because the "floor" is really the walkway from the bed area to the bathroom so you'll be walking around your own luggage. If you are a business traveler and need desk space it's very limited or absent. I had one room with a very small desk and another where I had to use the nightstand as a desk. The rooms are relatively dark even if the windows are open because they open to a narrow light well/courtyard. Perhaps there is more light on higher floor levels.
The location was great and the first time I stayed the hotel was cleaner. The room is really basic but bed was comfortable. I would never stay here with a second person. The room is good for 1. The have a small check in desk in the middle of the cafe which was crowded when I arrived. I have had to wait for longer than 10 minutes to check in and check out. They seem a little disorganized at the front and could use a proper reception area.

Called over to us as were leaving check in to give info. about facilities etc. Not very professional in approach. However check out very smooth and so above may just have been a one off at a busy spell.

location - in the heart of the city Comparing with other 4 star hotels at the same price the rooms are very small. I booked around 4-6 weeks in advanced asking for city view and all I got was an inner courtyard... I advice that this kind of requests to be processed early and not in the last day when there are no rooms available to choose from.

hotel is centrally locatated in london, tube station just around the corner, walking distance from the beautiful covent garden. i loved the service the hotel provides where u can check out on a touch screen computer without having to go to reception. on checking in, we were going to be charged double what i agreed to pay on this web site. only for having my print off of the receipt i wonder would we have had any come back.. not a good start! i booked a studio kitchenette but only got a double room with sofa bed. to be honest we were so tired after coming back from a hard day of shopping we hadnt the energy to argue as long as our room was clean and slept 3 comfortably we didnt mind.

The Grand lived up to it's name, with a quiet, posh feel. Very comfy bed, and the staff were above and beyond in helpfulness, politeness and friendliness. Breakfast, while costly, was exceptionally well varied and high quality. And the location was superb! Everything was walkable if you wanted. If not, access to taxis, London bus tours, and the subway system was also right at hand. Overall, a great choice!
The hotel was elegant without being pretentious. The entire staff, really everyone, were: friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, intelligent, observant and consistently went above expectations. They helped us feel so at home in a new city. The location at Trafalgar Square/Charing Cross was ideal, full access to the city and all of its charms. The room cooler had a weak seal and kept heating rather than cooling if the door wasn't carefully closed. There was minimal storage space for clothing...tiny closet and no drawer space.

The hotel had just the perfect location for us, situated as it was within a 10-minute walk of Leicester Square, Soho, Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, St Martins-in-the-Field, Covent Garden, The Strand, and so much more. Our room was on the 3rd floor, directly above the entrance to Charing Cross Station and practically overlooking Trafalgar Square. Amazingly, we could hardly ever hear a sound from outside! The windows had great soundproofing, I guess. The only sounds that appeared to get through were when the street musicians played amplified guitars at night, and they seemed to stop at a decent hour so it wasn't all that disruptive. Staff were always friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable with all modern conveniences including a soothing rainwater shower with plenty of hot water. The complimentary minibar was a nice surprise, too.
Hotel position excellent Room reasonably quiet, comfortable bed Ordered newspaper not delivered. No verbal explanation given after fire alarm evacuation at 06.00. Poor understanding of English shown by some reception staff.
The location is excellent, being right above Charring Cross Station and within walking distance to all the West End theatres. The hotel itself is very nice and our room was great. Breakfast was also nice, with gluten-free bread offered to my girlfriend. Upon arrival at 1.45 pm we were offered an upgrade to a junior suite for an extra 50 pounds. We accepted but wanted to check in straight away as we had a theatre show at 3.30 pm. Reception said the room would be ready in 10 mins. We finally got into the room at 2.45 - unacceptable! The bottle of wine that was offered upon the upgrade was also not delivered until later I asked about it. Given we were in a hurry to get ready and get to the show I didn't have time to make a big deal of it. When asked we were given a late checkout, 1pm instead of 12, which was something I guess. But I definitely got the impression the reception staff did not care at all about the customer and were merely chasing extra dollars from the customer.

Near many tourist attractions and two Tube stations, the hotel is in a great spot. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They even let me check into my room when I arrived from my early flight at 9am! The rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was great too.
The staff are friendly helpful and show a wide variation of knowledge of the city hotel is clean and the candles in the evening are a nice touch Xmas tree lovely.
The staff were very polite and friendly and the candles and decorations around the hotel were beautiful giving it a romantic atmosphere. The bed and room were very comfortable. Our room was next to a side street with trucks arriving very early with deliveries and it was noisy! And our phone rang every 30 minutes from around 8am (we were too tired to figure out why!) And the attendant walked into our room at around 9am even though we had locked the door and put the latch on.
Fantasic offer of an upgrade to a junior suite for just £35 incl bottle of wine and a great room with lots of extra space. Made the stay even more enjoyable. Superb location, friendly staff 10/10 :)
