After all this, we only got a $250 voucher on a $1500 flight. When I asked about business class upgrades they said they had seats open but it would cost $400! For a seat that stayed empty Instead of giving it to a customer who had been through the worst travel experience of their life. The flight attendants seemed like they really couldn’t give a damn about helping out customers and it’s the only airline I’ve ever interacted with where no one speaks English. One guy actually rolled his eyes when I asked him for the meal I missed when I was sleeping."

Contras: "The original flight was booked to dec 11th 2016 at 10:20am. On dex 9th at about 10pm i got a text message and email telling that my flight was rescheduled and asking me to call Avianca. So i did, and my new flight was booked to leave 2:18pm, arriving in Salvador at night. I asked for options, they offered me a flight at 6am and another at 8:30 am. I said that i would talk to my party and return the call, and we choose the 8:30 flight. When i called back, they said this flight had only 3 seats (we were a party of 6 adt, 1 chd and 2 inf). In the avianca site they were offering the flight for the whole party, but, of course, with a higher rate that i paid in june. The person said she coulndt book it for me, and i should call the SAC (client service) to try to solve the problem. I called the SAC and after 40min in the phone they were able to put everybody on the desired flight. I felt that they were trying to rebook us on a cheaper flight, letting the seats with highest fares to be sold to someone else. Since it was their fault the flight changing, i think it was a bad experience in my first flight with Avianca. Probably will avoid them in the future."

The flight attendants need to work on their attitudes and responsibilities. The flight was predominantly Brazilian passengers but the Avianca crew showed displeasure when asked questions in Portuguese by many different customers such as a beverage (one attendant told an older gentleman near me that a tray of drinks was available at the back of the plane and to go an get some if he like. Rude!!) It was just a very disagreeable experience flying on Avianca"

Contras: "copa airlines changed the timeline of my ticket from 10 hours to 22 hours duration one month before my flight back. When I landed in Panama there were no United representatives to issue me my boarding pass. For the next 14 hours I went up and down the airport to find help. When I finally went to the designated gate the Hnited representative told me this miscommunication happens all the time between Copa and United and there is nothing she can do. This is bad business and the customers have to suffer the consequences. I won't use this flight route again."

The flight attendant inside the plane didn't speak english, her treated was the worst! She asked me to change my seat, I was sitting in an emergency seat and she decided to put there an old woman who had 65 years old approximately instead of me that I am 35 years old and the only problem is that I don't speak spanish!!! Then she offered me something to eat talking to me in spanish and knowing that I don't understand that language. I felt humillate because at the end of the flight she said in english "Have a nice day Sir"???!!!!! It supposed that she didn't know english, so I felt that she was playing. It was my first time flying with Copa Airlines and I had the worst experience ever travelling with them!"
Contras: "Boarding gate/room was extremely small for the number of passengers taking flight 302 from PTY to LAX. The room is encased by glass walls, once you enter this room you are not able to leave and return to the room due to security. The only choice left was to stay in an air conditioning deprived room (88 degree aoutside) without chairs or a spot on the floor to sit, all the chairs and the floor were taken. It was very hard to patiently wait for the boarding call while standing up and drenching."

It was very hard to talk to the staff most of them were just screaming "go to the line" and were not really keen to listening to what passengers had to say. I found a latam person that wasn't really dealing with this situation and managed to get him to talk to other latam staff about my visa appointment. It was pretty stressful for me to have to deal with the possibility of missing such an important event without a good reason."

After a 3 hour delay that caused me (and tons of others) to miss a connecting international flight, LATAM’s telephone servers had the nerve to claim I was a no show and needed to pay them for my absence. This resulted in a long discussion where I was held on hold until they could adequately determine that yes i missed the flight because they held us late. This was the only way that i was able to avoid their charge to me for being a “no show.”"

I spoke with another flight attendant requesting to speak with this supervisor again, she said that I rather voice my complaint through latam.com and the mentioned supervisor, not only lied to us, but never showed up. It appears that latam needs to reinforce their staff training or perhaps to renew their staff supervisors and train them to avoid unnecessary lies to their passengers."

Contras: "Switched from ANA to an ANA operated by United. I wish we could have stayed with ANA. Legroom was shorter by at least 3 inches, so knees hit seat in front. Made for an uncomfortable flight, reminding me of why non-US carriers are the better way to go"
Prós: "This is the way it is supposed to work. Great staff, great flight. Was delayed, but handled very well."
Contras: "coach was very uncomfortable. Seats reclined minimally and not much legroom. I will not be flying United again. I was disappointed that it was not flight run by Luftansa since Luftansa's coach service is much better"
Contras: "Boarding in IAH was a mess. Several gate changes, airport information screens didn't match with the actual departure gate, lines were not properly identified. Very bad."
Contras: "Tickets are expensive enough. Can we not dispense with the fees for 'entertainment'. Slow boarding!!!"
Prós: "I was late, ridiculously late. Unfortunately my driver to the airport had issues ergo I had issues....I was redirected to the service desk to reschedule."
Contras: "A service attendant took the time to check the status of my original flight and help me make it. He didnt have to but he did with a pleasant attitude."
Prós: "Mr Anthony Brown, gate crew for United in Chicago remembered that I had asked for an aisle seat and, when one became available, he made sure I got it. I was so grateful for his consideration and professionalism."
Contras: "No entertainment system. Few bathrooms. More cramped."
Prós: "I received my e boarding pass the night before"
Contras: "The boarding pass that was sent the night before had the incorrect gate and no seat assignment. I spoke w THREE agents at checkin and they all sent me to the (wrong) gate- C25 and wouldn't give me a seat assignment. That is a long way to go w a scooter and a bag, only to learn the correct gate is B4. I was the last to board, there was no bin space left. it shouldn't be so complicated."
Prós: "Boarding was fast and easy. Crew was kind to allow me to use an empty seat in the middle row and get more space. Managed to connect to onboard entertainment with a tablet and avoided to use the tiny screen that still exists on United's 767s."
Contras: "Food was a bit tasteless."
Prós: "Less of a delay than I've come to expect with United."
Contras: "I would also like the breakdown of my flight combined. Having to justify paying more for an economy seat (Plus) I can move in is not fun on an expense report. I feel like it's more and more expensive (nickel and diming) and no space and all to frequent delays. I'm considering switching airlines."
Prós: "Free wifi, one free snack and drink, overall one personal item and one free carry on bag."
Contras: "Wifi wasn't excellent and the crew should tell the passengers that they give out one free snack and drink."
Prós: "It was a pretty smooth flight and it was pretty well organized."
Contras: "The plane was in the Houston hanger most of the day, but it seems they didn't test it. Even after being delayed on the ground due to rain and a mechanical problem with the ramp for three hours, the plane had to turn around and come back to Houston due to another mechanical issue. Finally left 13.5 hours late. I did receive a hotel room, breakfast and 10,000 miles compensation for the hassle, but I would rather have been in Brazil on time."
Prós: "United transfer me to Alaska Airlines because there was delay that would impacted my layover.. So they gave me non stop with Alaska. I'm pleased with their service!"
Contras: "- Horrible food; - Very old airplane. The oldest I ever flew; - The entertainment system was horrible and not worked. We came the whole flight without having access to anything, neither the map of the flight."

Prós: "Crew was very accommodating to the fact that I was flying with a large service animal. They even brought him his own dinner. They were excellent people."
Prós: "The flight was smooth for such a small jet and the attendant was so pleasant and kind. I was very pleased with the experience over all."
Contras: "It was just a personal preference. The snack was an Asian mix and it was something I didn't care for but honestly it hardly impacted the experience at all."

Prós: "Boarding was pretty quick. The crew was very friendly. I have to say United is one of the best airlines to fly. I really like how they come to offer food/drink, then snack, then water, then coffee. It's nice to have the constant attention. Trash is picked up right away. it's great service."
Contras: "when I just paid 7.99 to watch a movie and the crew makes really long announcements, interrupting the movie. They could make some of those announcements before the inflight entertainment starts. I think announcements should be quick and to the point, nobody likes to hear someone trying to remember what they were about to say. Also there was a problem getting the thing that connects the plane to the building when it was time to be let off and everyone was getting really hot while we waited 30 minutes to be let out."
Prós: "I liked how friendly the attendants were."
Contras: "I hated how it kept delaying and delaying I didn't know what to do or if to leave and come back time change was ridiculous"

Prós: "My overall experience was excellent except for your new food policy. Meals should included! I am handicapped and asked for help boarding and getting to flights! I was helped by your caring and very curtitious staff! Thank you for your help."
