First time I ACTUALLY slept on a long haul flight. Chairs seemed to be made of soft leather or some other super comfy material. Puts the older US-based planes to absolute shame. Super soft fluffy blankets, the flight attendants were amazing, courteous, hospitable, the food and drinks were awesome, loved the movies. 10/10 would fly again."

If LH 754 gets delayed going into Bangalore, it creates a bottleneck with Emirates and Etihad arriving at about the same time."

They than reclined the seat back and my seat was broken do I asked them to put the seat forward and they ignored me. I informed the cabin crew that they weren't being considerate after all I gave up my seat to them. The cabin crew told me I could leave my 4 yest old and 3 year old alone and move to a new seat."

Someone asked if there was anyone trying to get on the SF flight and a bunch of us raised our hands, but they didn't do anything. We had to run like OJ to make our flight. Not fun. Then the AC wasn't working while we sat there."

Prós: "We had a very short connection as a result of a long delay in our flight from Athens to Munich. Lufthansa held the gate open and helped us get on board tom our flight to Chicago. The plane was big, roomy and the seats were comfortable. There were adequate number of toilets so people didn't have to stand in long lines. The crew was very friendly in an efficient way, not like in Asian airlines where the passenger gets coddled. I particularly appreciated the serving of water/juices every so often to stay hydrated."
Contras: "They could have made the transfer easier by having a trolley to move us instead of having us run through the airport. I am 70 and have had both knees replaced. While I can walk just fine, running was very difficult."

For four seats there are three sections; so, you can hope that someone doesn't need any space or else you have to decide how to awkwardly split it up."

While our seats (located directly behind the Plus section) gave us extra leg room (I don't know why) we did not have the wider seats, food service style and menu as given to those directly in front of us. There was actuallly a barrier between them and us which hit me in the head every time I stood up! On a long flight from Munich to LAX we felt and were cheated."

Contras: "The flight to Amsterdam from Gdansk was late and I had to RUN to the connecting gate. 50 minutes is NOT ENOUGH time to go through passport control."

Bonus points for the Beemster cheese sandwich (I was totally disappointed when they served the food, but more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cheese - I even bought some afterwards, from the Albert Heijn just outside the security area)."
Contras: "Very odd queue separation at boarding. Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."

Contras: "Without any explanation the plane I was due to go to Istanbul on at 11.30 was not available. I had to wait for a small plane coming from Edinburgh then wait for it to be emptied of passengers and cleaned. This meant we were over 2 hours late into Istanbul. No explanation or apology. I then missed my next flight in Istanbul and had to purchase another ticket. I cannot believe that air passengers are treated in this way!!! I will follow this up with KLM when I go home from my holiday."

Prós: "Ground staff at Manchester very helpful"
Contras: "Information on KLM website and flight status said 50 minutes delay and was never updated with the true status. 3 hours before we took off. KLM blamed the fog at Manchester but to be honest most other flights seemed unaffected. Put up in an IBIS hotel and fed substandard food and shitty hotel room with an Aircon unit that clunks into action every 30 seconds keeping me awake. It's external so I can't switch it off. Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros."

Contras: "Old airplane with not really comfy seats. No outlets for charging devices. Very old entertainment screen."

Contras: "Amsterdam customs is the most disorganized I have ever seen. With the number of tourists entering the country you would think they would have done something about it. There were only 2 customs agents!! One for all passports and 1 for all passports. We were in the customs hall longer than we were in flight!"

Contras: "Not only was there free food but they tried to sell you a bunch of stuff. Not a moments piece."

Contras: "That I was forced to check my baggage. I never received a chain ticket for my luggage. The flight has a 32 hour layover and KLM lost my luggage and it was not found until a week after my arrival back home. I still have not received my bag at this time. The boarding crew was manually tracking who boarded and who didn't. It was a cluster."

Prós: "The crew were really helpful since I am a short person in putting my luggage away in the overhead compartment and attentive to everyone's needs. I am a fussy eater and don't really like airplane food but the food was actually really nice. We was given plenty of snacks and drinks in between meals as well. There was plenty of programmes to choose from to keep me entertained."

We were told that it was just a half an hour delay by the man that was informing us of the delay and then we were then told by a woman that it was going to be over an hour. We weren’t told any specifics of why the plane was delayed, other than: “ the engineers are looking at the issue now”. We received messages saying that the flight was cancelled but then we were told to ignore that. We were told that we would have an update every 10-15 minutes but by the time we had the next update was 1 hours later, we were told that the plane will depart at 15:50- which we did. But we also sat on the plane for an extra 2 hours or maybe even more (couldn’t bare watching the time at this point) because the man that was supposed to push the plane backwards in order to reverse the plane didn’t turn up so we then had to wait for all of the other planes to take off before we could. Eventually the plane set off at 18:20 and I got in France 19:30-20:00 ish?"

Next my luggage did not make it to ATL with me it stayed in Dublin and I ended up not getting it until 2 days later. Next the bathrooms became very dirty towards the end of the trip so it made it quite unpleasant to have to go to the restroom."

Contras: "Food was cold and inedible for a vegetarian. My special request for vegetarian food was not met. We were not alerted on this or else we would have brought food on board. The time taken to clear custom was too long, we didn't have enough time to claim VAT and had to rush to board the plane despite being at the airport 3 hours before flight."

Contras: "Did not inform me of the shut down of Nice airport that Monday night July 25 from 11:30 to 4:00. I was stranded in nice. I planned to take a taxi to have it take me around a nice at night to see the city. But lost that opportunity.. Then the next morning before boarding I got inquired by French police asking why did I stay in Nice over night. My suitcase locks was cut open and a special silver plated cup,handle,was broken in my suitcase."

Prós: "Left on time arrived a bit early"
Contras: "Small plane, tight seats and limited leg room. But the flight is only 26 minutes."

Prós: "We propelled through space and arrived safely at our destination. Big like! :)"
Contras: "The vegan meal was a plate of dough. All bread. Other flights have given fruit, vegetables, vegan yogurt, etc. But that's a small complaint. The extra leg room seats at the exit aisles I was offered don't recline. (This wasn't true on the next flight). At 5 feet tall, given the option, I would pass up on the extra leg room and take a reclining seat. This is something that should be made very clear before the flight!"

Prós: "Landed nearly 25 mins early, greatly helped in making the connection possible."
Contras: "Boarding via bus ride on the tarmac and climb the steps onto the aircraft."

Contras: "Flight was at 10:30pm. Waited at the gate from 9:00-10:40 with no news. Nobody knew what was going on or what we were waiting for. Finally at 10:40 they announced that the flight would be delayed, even though we had figured it out by then. At 11 the flight crew showed up. We finally boarded at 11:30 and we arrived an hour late to our destination. They offered drinks to the 2 people flying "business class" (they were just sitting in the front but amongst the economy class seats) at the very beginning, but then waited to serve everyone else, but as it was late, most people were already sleeping. We arrived an hour late."

Contras: "Very crowded in.club class. Way lower standard for business class as compared to the other airlines."

Contras: "Seats are cramped. Also I was sitting on the aisle seat and the food trolley hit my elbow so there isnt much space for it to go down the aisle"

Contras: "The seat was not comfortable at all. I’m 6.0 and 150lb so not very big but my shoulders were already above the head rest. Also leg space was very poor. This was an American Airlines flight by the way. 777-300 airplane. I’ve had better flying experience before in the Same type of plane"

Contras: "Kayak.com overwrote the passenger name with an incorrect name. Neither Kayak.com or lastminute.com could correct this which resulted in me losing approx. £600 and taking the issue to the small claims court."

Prós: "This was such a pleasant experience at a time when “pleasant” is not the common adjective. The plane was clean and comfortable. There were lots of excellent movies. The vegetarian meal was actually lovely. I know; who ever says that?"

Oh BTW beware of their new “security” regulations. So I had a bottle of perfume in my carry on, only about a quarter maybe a third left in a 100 ml bottle. Guess what, it is not the amount of liquid you have in it, it is the amount the bottle can hold that matters. Needless to say they confiscated it."

Prós: "Crew was awesome. Seats were very comfortable. I slept the entire flight do so I am unable to comment on food or entertainment"
Contras: "The boarding process could use a lot of work. The gate isn't known until practically boarding time. The Admirals Lounge really could use an upgrade. It was uncomfortable and it was a great disappointment."

Prós: "the pre-boarding for families with kids was nice, the staff were helpful during the flight"
Contras: "The flight home to DC was fine. The flight going to London from DCA was horrible.The deserts on the kids meals had mold on them. My daughter was vomiting as a result of the food. It ate into our trip which was hard for us as we were visiting my grandmother who is not well. We contacted the airline about it and their proposed compensation was not what we were expecting. Honestly we plan to make an annual trip but based on our experiences with this trip maybe we'll choose a different airline."

Prós: "Economy was sparsely booked, unlike WT+ and Vlub World, so I had four seats to lie across, but the armrests don’t fold into the seat backs all the way, so it sounds better than it was. The food is rather poor. Beverage service is excellent."
Contras: "The flight left MIA almost an hour late, and the captain didn’t say why. We arrived an hour late at LHR. I had fifty minutes to change terminals for a connection. What other international carrier operates a hub with international flights leaving from two distant terminals? If my connection hadn’t been late"

Contras: "My TV worked only intermittently and I therefore could not relax and enjoy the entertainment..."

Contras: "Not even a drink of water from Rome to London! Things have really changed in the last two years!"

Prós: "I thought the flight over was very good but we missed our return flight because we were not informed of gates closing a hour before take off and had to pay for another return ticket. I thought the airline should have given us a little break on the cost."

Contras: "We won't go through Dublin again. The walk from the arrival gate to the maze of bureaucracy ahead was way too long. The airline should have not have that tight a connection knowing all the screening that must be done to board the next flight. We were held up at every entry point, not told what to expect and thus had to prepare for screening on the fly, while hoping our plane would wait for us, which it did and the many people who boarded after us. Entertainment system was slow and non-responsive and my husband's had to be reset to even start to work. One bag left behind, but delivered promptly within days of arrival"

Prós: "Planes were new or well maintained."
Contras: "Confirmed seat selection does not actually mean confirmed. BA changed our seats without notice and stuck us in the back of the plane. There was no real effort to address the unexpected change. It also took the entirety of the 3 hour flight for the service cart to make it to the back of the plane. This was after a 2 hour delay during which they provided only sporadic updates. Overall, quite a poor experience which would make me hesitate to fly BA again given a choice of comparable airlines."

Prós: "Service was great. The plane was big and confortable."

Contras: "Hot meals were good but pizza roll was so bad. Might as well not give anything."

Ten hours is a long time without the screen. Also they were out of meal choices by the time she got to our row and the chicken dish that was left was inedible."

Contras: "Got at the airport plenty of time prior, waited well over an hour in line to get a boarding pass, while the one ticket taker had no sense of urgency. Could have easily missed the flight."

Prós: "The flight was pretty much on time."
Contras: "It took a long time to get served and they ran out of options. There was only one meal served and then a granola bar offered and the flight was over 8 hours. The room between seats was too tight and I am a small person."

Prós: "I appreciated the free upgrade to an empty emergency row."
Contras: "A complimentary drink was not offered. I had to pay for my entire meal including the drink, because no snack or drink was provided."

Contras: "Boarding the plane. I do not know why the airlines load the people who are at the front of the plane first. Load the people on the back of the plane first. That way, when you call the next section, the people in the back are not blocking people as they enter. An alternative is to call people in sections based on where they sit in a row. If you have window seat, you should be called first. Why? Because so many passengers who have aisle seats have to get up to let people with middle or window seats get in. So, they hold traffic up as people are trying to get to their seats. After window seat passengers get called, then call middle seat passengers, and last, call aisle seat passengers."

Prós: "The folks at Birtish Air are oh so nice and helpful the nicest I have dealt with flying"
Contras: "Need to charge a few more pounds for their fares so they provide a decent snack and drink had to pay extra for everything"

Contras: "All snacks and drinks cost money! Paid for extra legroom row but my knees still touched seat in front of me. Exceptionally poor aircraft configuration - business class had center seats blocked. Remove those rows and make business class 2x2 and I will consider buying it."

Contras: "Customer Service had no clue what the hell they are doing. My flight got cancelled and im overseas. Im using international minutes to talk to these imbeciles and they tell me i have to call finnair. Finnair reps were very helpful. However, they told me i had to call BA to confirm my ticket. These idiots could do jack. Apparently they had no idea what they are doing. I just hung up and dealt with it at the airport. It was a hassle at the airport too but they were very accommodating and nice.. Unlike the the idiots on the phone!"

Prós: "The staff was very friendly and helpful. The timing and amount of meal/snacks was more than sufficient. The dinner was pretty tasty!"
Contras: "Nothing out of place as far as I could tell."
