Mid row was empty per Covid, for flight comfort, this was somewhat a plus. Knowing air was filtered with HEPA filters every 2 minutes with fresh oxygen and outside air mix was also reassuring."

And then at the gate, I was supposedly "randomly selected" for ANOTHER swab/swipe security check. The flight itself was uncomfortable. There are not enough bathrooms for the number of people seated on the flight. The entertainment was the only excellent and recommendable thing about this delta flight."

Contras: "I booked KLM flights (Cork - Tampa return) but the planes were in fact Aer Lingus and Delta. So I have no idea what KLM is like. When I checked in at Cork the ground staff could only give me a boarding card for the first flight. For the second one she said I would have to go to the Delta counter in Amsterdam. It was difficult to find a counter there or staff as check-in was all by computer. The computer kept saying 'error' when I put in my code. I eventually was directed to a KLM desk (nicely hidden). I was told that my seat no longer existed. At this point the flight was ready to board. Thankfully the KLM ground staff were extremely helpful and reassuring and upgraded my ticket to economy comfort. On the way back, I could only get a boarding card for my first flight. The second two I had to collect at the boarding gate of the second flight."

Contras: "1. I already had a tight connection and let the flight attendant know that I was concerned due to the delay. She seemed very laissez faire and there was no information about the connections gate overhead or when I got off the plane. I think that if the flight is delayed, the airline should let passengers know where the close connection gate assignments are to save them time (my flight landed ten minutes after my connection was boarding). 2. The carry on luggage section was impossibly small so I had to gatecheck my bag and it took five minutes to get my bag back. Given the tight connection, this created additional anxiety."

Contras: "To change ticket I had to pay change fee plus fare difference. Copa said it was not their responsibility to notify passengers of health alerts and Kayak should be responsible. Needless to say I was on the hook for the time and the bill. I have flown Copa with satisfaction a number of times but this is enough to discourage me from ever flying them again and possibly ever using Kayak again."

Contras: "When you select the meal options in advance through the Copa Airlines site the phrasing of those ptions is not very clear and I was stuck with a choice I didn’t want (“meal with fruits” - it was pretty confusing in English or Spanish - while I assumed perhaps the dessert items would be substituted with fruit, instead they brought me a pretty mediocre fruit platter). They said there was no way to change this. Copa airlines personnel at Panama airport actually were kind of rude about it."

Add to the narrow seats is the design of the seat and armrests themselves and you don't have much space at all. No way I was going to be able to work on my laptop in this LATAM business class seat."

As a result, we had to exit the secured area in Rio to go check in manually again for our connection and then go through security and customs again."

Contras: "The flight at first had a 3 HOUR delay do to a "mechanical breakdown". We were told that they were going to bring another airplane from Rio de Janeiro. After the 3 hours passed they were only announcing in Portuguese to board the original plane. They never changed planes or provided a clear explanation to the passengers. Many of us refused to board. This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had. The staff was disrespectful and would not help us. We ended up taking another flight until the following night!!"
Contras: "Latam The website of Latam is useless. The services for people in broadcoast is so difficult that almost impossible (email, facebook, telephone, etc) In my case, i was in Africa and couldn´t change my ticket. My brother had to change it from Argentina."

Contras: "The boarding staff member was extremely overwhelmed being the only person at the desk. She visibly looked frazzled & made it well known. It made me feel insecure about the flight. Then the maintenance crew didn’t notice that there was a dead bird in one of the engines until after we were fully boarded and had to sit on the plane for an hour over our expected time. I appreciated the fact that they were being through for our safety, but catch that before you have people board."
Prós: "On-time, 20 minutes early!"
Prós: "Flights were always on time . Most staff members were friendly. Seats are comfortable. I looove that they allow you a purse and a true carry on ."

Contras: "Flight from Ny to Detroit was delayed for 2 hrs. Coming back was worse after multiple delays, they cancelled the flight. they put me on a flight for next day with 2 connections which will reach ny almost 20 hrs later, no aplogises, no hotel room. After more calls put me in another United flight later that night which also finally got cancelled. I had to book a new flight with delta and paid $460 on the spot for that. Still awaiting my refund from American for the return leg which was cancelled and left a lady traveling alone stranded at Detroit airport in the night. Apology or compensation -- forget it, you will never get that! Only now if they can refund my cancelled flight..."
Prós: "Finally getting to my final destination and out of DFW."
Contras: "The flight was originally scheduled to take off at 8:20 pm, but due to several delays did not end up getting off the ground until after 11 pm. After being in the air for about 45 minutes we were informed that there were issues with the engine and that we would be turning around and heading back to Dallas. By this point it was after midnight, and although I was appreciative that safely is a priority, there was no communication as to what the next steps were. After landing we were finally told that we would have to deplane, and after we sat around the gate for awhile we were informed that the flight would be delayed until 5 am. Being 12:50 am at this point a hotel would have been nice, but we were informed that AA was "out of hotels" but that if we wanted we could have a $12 food voucher to use at the one restaurant that was open several terminals over. The AA employee assisting in handing out the food vouchers seemed extremely unapologetic about the situation which didn't help with the frustration everyone was feeling. I will not be booking with AA again, and will be passing along my negative experience to family and friends. It is worth spending the extra money on a ticket for an airline that is more reliable with better customer service."

For me, in my flight experience, it's to get to where i need to be and not to be entertained. Food and drinks aren't needed, I can get that when i get to my destination."

Prós: "It appears that Air Canada is doing the correct thing for passengers who have reserved their seats in advance....after many years of not applying their written policy of making them board after business class/disabled passengers/passengers with young children, they have created Zone 2 boarding which permits passengers with reserved seating to board immediately after them, therefore guaranteeing them overhead bin space. As we all know, a lot of passengers board with much more than one carry-on, which is a plague when boarding."

Contras: "I am an experienced traveler. I've been to 17 countries and have flown over a million miles in both business and coach. My wife encountered a problem in Istanbul that involved an airport transit visa through Canada. I am certain that any other airline we’ve ever flown would’ve assisted us, since it was easily resolved. To Turkish Airlines, this is simply a part of their business model and a chance to make more money. It took about 8 hours of our time at 5 different airport locations to eventually buy new tickets to get back the next day. Our original tickets say: “REISSUE With 200.00 USD penalty. What I didn’t see was the fine print at the bottom: “Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change rules regarding ticket changes and refunds.”. They mean it. As bad as our personal experience was, the real reason we are so appalled is that we were there long enough to see this is the norm for them. In our single day there, we saw at least 100 other travelers going through similar things. The ONLY solution ever offered is to purchase another ticket. We witnessed several people weeping. Many losing control and shouting. Their own personnel were screaming at customers (in a separate office area though, it was all yucks and laughing). These were people of all nationalities. Africans, Asians, Europeans. We were lucky because we had the means to purchase new tickets. Others clearly didn’t. I really don’t know what happened to some of them. One moment was very symbolic of the entire experience. Another vanquished traveler was paying $843 for a new ticket with cash. He handed her $845 but she, of course, had no change. Instead of the $5, he gave her two $1 bills. I had one in my pocket so gave it to her as well. She held my $1 bill up and pointed to the corner which had a very small piece torn off…no ink was missing…and sneered “I can’t accept this. She did this simply because she could. We were powerless. She knew it and reveled in it."

Contras: "Boarding was chaos. My partner’s entertainment screen would not work so I was not in a position to use mine. Air Canada doesn’t understand vegan. Offered us egg and cheese for a snack. Typical air travel. Long live the train."
Prós: "It was OK but it had to be better than the flight to Canada which was delayed 24 hours (just for bad measure). It's a cheap flight and AC warn that the "in seat" screen is no longer provided so criticism on this basis is a bit silly. I noted that the free iPads in Premium Economy provided more films but they were so dated!!! Food in PE was much better as was the general service. It cost quite a bit in the "Auction" but it was worth it I think."
Contras: "This relates to the outward trip when we only found out at the check-in that the plane was postponed to the following day. OK, we were put up in a hotel for the night but 24 hours there was not the best day of my life. I wasn't too impressed with the hotel."

Contras: "Many of us were refused boarding on the connecting flight. They gave away our seats. I arrived at the transvfer counter50 minutes prior to the flight. I was first. Gave excuse that bag must go with me. Customs confirmed that this is AC not customs. To add insult, they flight to Montreal was late, the flight to Boston was late, and finally my bag NEVER was on either flight so there excuse was an out right lie. I missed half the weekend home in over a month. AC doesn't value my time and I don't value their service. Every time I go back to this airline I realized why I left. Going to Asia; don't get suckered into using this route. BTW a friend on PVG-YUL-BOS never made it as well. AC still using a CRJ200 that can't land in weather. NOT A BUSINESS CLASS EXPERIENCE."
Contras: "Very rude air crew who treats you as a bus passenger, does not completely listen to your requests, on business class. I also had my return connection flight cancelled and moved 6 hours ahead of the original one, which made me just wait that long at the airport."

Contras: "Payable ''snacks'' on a 6 hour flight. Come on! Charge 20-30$ more on the ticket and serve a decent meal. Entertainment is lousy."

Contras: "The last leg of our entire trip, and it was late. We left about 1.5 hours late and they had trouble getting the gate to the plane when we landed. A long trip home was made even longer. I was very surprised that there were so many issues with timeliness on AC flights. In our outbound to Athens, two of the three flights left late, and they had to rebook part of our trip to accommodate. And the return trip was more of the same. I expected AC to be world-class and it was more like a regional airline in terms of performance."
Prós: "TV screens and entertainment were nice."
Contras: "I would like to have the two meal options be one with meat and one without. The quality of the meal could have been better."
Contras: "Flight was 2 hours late after we already had a 5 hour lay-over. Waiting area quite small for so many flights to US .Felt like the ugly step-sisters."
Contras: "Very rude staff, my flight from Dublin was delayed for three hours on the runway why they fix the leak for the restrooms. Once we landed I had to clear customs in Canada and get to the new flight. They told me when I finally had to make through the airport and through customs that I need to manage my time better and understand and give myself plenty of time to make the flight.. REALLY??? It wasn't my fault that their crappy plane wasn't working right wasn't my fault we were delayed but I need to manage my time better I think they fell and bumped their head!!"
Contras: "I will never fly Air Canada between Detroit and Toronto again. Both ways the crew looked exhausted and like they were rather be anyplace but working our flight. Both times they took our carry ons without giving us a choice. For our flight out this was a stressful nuisance because we had to catch a connecting overseas flight. This involved my husband and son going to baggage claim and then having to go back through customs and TSA. The whole point of carry ons is to avoid this. Luckily we didn't miss our international flight but not a good way to begin a trip of a lifetime. Flight was completely uncomfortable and it seemed like no one cared. Should have driven"

Contras: "The gate area was horribly crowded, extremely chaotic and hot."
Prós: "There we're many open seats due to a problem with connecting flights, so my son was able to stretch out across the middle chairs to sleep."
Contras: "the food portions we're small, and we only had a small muffin towards the end of the flight. Ive never left an international flight hungry before. I was shocked that we did not have an actual meal at the end of the 8 hour flight."

I talked to the crew about suggestions for finding food, a good place to wait, and suggestions for seeing the city. They were fantastic. Suggested the 747 bus so I could see Montreal and helped point me in the right direction for where to be comfortable as I waited for the city to wake up. Thank you all so much!!"
Contras: "Baggage claim at final destination was a complete mess. I went straight to the baggage claim area after our flight and never saw any baggage come out at the designated carousel. Checked with the baggage office and they apparently don't work with Air Canada and sent me to their check in desk where no one was available. Customer service was only able to fill out a form listing me as missing my baggage and tell me to head home. Had to return to pick up my luggage the next day, but the Air Canada manager couldn't even tell me if the baggage would have gone to the baggage claim carousel or to the check in desk, because it seems they have no established protocol. With it being such a small flight (only around 10-15 of us total on the plane), it seems like a brief announcement of where our luggage would be could have saved people headaches. Being small seems to be an issue where the airline itself doesn't have any real established protocols or a substantial presence in the Columbus airport at least. So overall, not impressed with the management when checking in or out in the actual airport."
