Contras: "Had a layover in Toronto. From Toronto we flew to Istanbul and then Venice. While waiting in line to board in Toronto, I was told my carry-on luggage was too big and needed to be put under. I asked MULTIPLE times where my luggage would be- either Istanbul or Venice (final destination) and EVERY time I asked, I was told my luggage would be waiting for me in Venice. Once we arrived in Istanbul I asked AGAIN if my carry-on luggage was here or if it would be in Venice and I was told it would be in Venice. Once we arrived in Venice, my luggage was nowhere to be found. The lost luggage crew (and 90% of the people in Venice) were completely rude and acted like we were a huge inconvenience for them. (I've heard that many Europeans cannot stand Americans, but we were not being rude or obnoxious at all to anyone- we just wanted a quiet, romantic vacation.) So safe to say that it was an extremely rough start. We were in Venice for the Glass Art Society Conference in Murano and due to my luggage being lost, had missed the first day and a half, therefore wasting hundreds of dollars. Luckily my boyfriend's phone worked in order to spend our first two days of vacation (not to mention the amount of money spent on international calling costs) tracking down my luggage, but again dealt with completely rude people who barely helped us with any answers and even hung up on us multiple times (and I'd like to add that despite my frustration, I made sure that I was not speaking rudely one bit). The best answers we received were from the people at the Istanbul airport who told us that Venice received my luggage hours before I even called Istanbul- which I do not understand why the Venice airport did not tell me this because I spent all day speaking with them. Once I called back the Venice airport to confirm what the Istanbul airport told us, they said (once again rudely) that they called me on my phone but did not answer (which I already told them that my phone did not have any service and to call my boyfriend's phone number). So to sum up: I will never be flying to Venice ever again."

Well the seats weren't lay flat so I feel like I got played by Kayak and didn't have a very comfortable flight."

I was lucky that the flight was being delayed too.. so I got to board my flight 3:40pm. However, due to high traffic at Atatürk airport my New York flight departed at 5pm. Overall there was just a 2 hour delay, however the experience of transferring was quite stressful, not to mention that my bags didn't make it to New York. I just wished that the connecting flight information was not offline in the Ankara Istanbul train so that I didn't panic as much. Overall I made it safe and sound to my destination by the magic of plane transportation.. so thank you to all the engineers, staff, pilot, cabin crew and oil companies that did so much to bring me home. The onground service was so terrible and mean, that I will most certainly not fly AA if possible"

However, coming to the gate an hour before boarding the personnel working gate the said he was having computer difficulties and could not get me a seat and it would be 10 min. I continued to return till boarding to find out I had no seat and I was on standby. Upon going to customer service they replied the airline oversold tickets and every airline does this as if to make this practice ok. Well being in sales myself and if I were to sell x amount of product to one customer ( or several) I better make sure I have it all there to deliver. People rely on you schedule wise. It nearly shot a meeting I had to make in the foot. Very disappointed with the airline and the way things were handled."

They brought out water and sodas while we waited. Then reboarded and got into Charlotte about three hours late. Lots of very unhappy people. They passed out 800 numbers to rebook. A lot of people missed connections."

Seated in premium seating just behind first class was unfortunate due to the atrocious odor that lasted for 3+hours. There was no option for food service for the rest of the plane. Which was unfortunate as I was very hungry. Due to inconsistent notification that the plane was delayed / on-time (kept switching the notification) we opted to not get dinner in the airport..... To which the plane was was an hour late yet we were told to check in every ten minutes to see if we were boarding. There were no blankets. The plane was incredibly cold. The suggestion I received from the flight staff was to turn off the vent above my head (which I had already done.) I had brought a jacket and was wearing pants. On a 5.5 hour flight, the crew served beverages 45 minutes into the flight (per usual) and handed out a pretzel pack. They didn't come back through with water or beverages again. On other airlines, they promote water at least once an hour to keep swelling and dehydration down. Since I am a pretty frequent flier, I bring my own water. Still, coffee would have been nice. Suggestions: increase beverage service to at least twice / 5.5 hour flight and provide blankets upon request. Food choices and entertainment would also be good. Don't cook stinky dinners in first class and allow it to pollute the rest of the plane."

Contras: "1) An extra piece of baggage, using the iPhone TAP, was priced at EUR 65; but, finalizing the purchase, the app tried to charge me EUR 140! Had to go to LIS airport to buy at the right price. 2) Had to pay for my free of charge seats!!!! They changed 4 times!!! a) Having tickets with seat assignments free of charge, had the chosen seats confirmed on e-ticket. b) At airport, 3 days before departure, attendant informed that seats assignment had been erased; she made new seat assignments at worse location; c) On check-in, found that seats were changed again to worse even; now to the back, and “2 in the middle of 4”. d) Had to pay to get my original free of charge seat assignments!!! Had similar situations in all my recent TAP flights. Cannot believe is a system problem! Looks like more a TAP policy to short-change (long time, in my case) customers."

Contras: "2.5 hours in line to check in with the one agent working if you were not a gold whatever member. The same agent was at the gate taking tickets loading a single bus up at a time while everybody waited for the same bus to return to be reloaded. Ended up leaving an hour late due to being unable to load people on the plane, then a ground crew issue with loading bags extended the delay. No food service and voucher was given to cafeteria on exact opposite side and floor of airport. only reason we were able to use was because of the huge delays and problems trying to load the airplane. After the safety demonstration the flight attendants went to rear of plane and sat down in their jump seats for rest of flight. People were approaching them asking for water otherwise they ignored us. After landing stairs were used at rear of plane and door was opened. As we were two rows from the rear my girlfriend asked the male attendant 4 times if we were allowed to use the rear stairs as we were bus loading anyways, he never answered, looked at or acknowledged her speaking to him, he just stood at rear of the aisle ( 3.5 feet away) adjusting his tie and flattening his jacket sleeves. Was very awkward."

Prós: "The plane was clean. The blanket was unusually large, for a plane blanket, so u could be nice and warm. The food was good and varied. The staff was friendly and every time they spoke to you had a smile on their face, as if happy to see you:)"
Contras: "I cant think of anything. It's a long trip that can be tiresome. So you can tell the airline tries to make it as pleasant as possible ."

Contras: "The flight was cramped. For a shorter flight from Madrid to Tel Aviv Air Europa uses a state of the art Boeing 787 Dreamliner which lives up to its name. Why they don't use this aircraft for the long haul flight beats me. I'd rather be comfortable for 10 hrs and suffer for 5 instead of the other way around. Still, looking forward to the last leg home."

Contras: "Some of the crew lacks interpersonal relations and after some time they stoped their rounds. The flight office said there are 3 meals and we have been served barely 2. One hot meal and one piece of brad after. They gave others snacks but didnt offered to all the same."

(personally - i left with no food at the flight from Madrid to Fortaleza) in the way back, from fortaleza to madrid, it took hour and a half, from the time i finished eating to the time the crew took the tray. it was very inconveniet"
Contras: "I am a skyteam member and have platinum status with delta and prior to leaving for my trip I had contacted air europa with my skymiles number and was told baggage was included. Upon arrival to airport my status was ignored and I was refused when asked to speak with a manager. I ended up having to pay 60 euros in baggage fees and then was not allowed to board as sky priority despite showing the airline my status."

We got to the airport well in advanced, but due to the long line and fear of missing the flight, we didn't have time to shop at duty free or get food within the airport."
