She is a first responder in a unit that responds to search and rescue and terrorist attacks and was returning from three days of maneuvers. Baggage lost. Still not here forty hours later."

Bathrooms are tiny unlike 777 and the seats are not good, i dislike the narrow feel of the feet well and there is noooo storage for shoes or amything else..what fail. And the door thing is a joke. I will make zero effort to fly this equipment...777 is the best after loosing the 747."

And leaving in the early morning it was too dark and they convinced us it was unsafe and a 35 min walk. It’s def would be that long of a walk in Mexico since we had no idea where we were going."

Contras: "LEX to ATL to GRU did NOT happen because the LEX flights were delayed to the point of missing the ATL connection. While Delta re-booked me on United, my flight arrived 3 hours later than scheduled (so transportation plans had to change), my bag did not successfully move from the Delta flight to the United flight (and was thus delayed in getting to GRU) AND once the bag was received, 4 shirts had been stolen. While a delay/theft claim has been filed with United, this could all have been avoided if the Delta flights had been on time."

Prós: "Everything was smooth. Short flight, but they offered us refills on drinks, which I've never experienced before. Polite staff, great flight. Thanks!"

Contras: "When I asked for a drink, after having fallen asleep and awoken just as the cart passed me, I was told just one minute, 10 minutes later, a flight attendant came by, they had food, I asked again for some water, was again told in just a minute, took 20 minutes to get water. The earbuds I was given didn't work, my own didn't work, apparently the seat I was in has a connectivity issue, so the sound kept blasting in and out and was horrible. I had to hold the connector in the seat. The food option was non-existant once the cart came to me, the only option was chicken, which was horrible. Overall, I was not impressed with the service or flight ...."

Prós: "Excellent flight. Nice new aircraft."

Contras: "Delta Flight #1661 I paid for 1st class. My first flight was late so I arrived at the gate after boarding began. When the gate attendant scanned my ticket another printed. When he handed me the ticket my seat had changed to seat 25E. I told the attendant that I had paid for first class. He asked me to step aside while he contacted his supervisor, Joe. Then I had to wait until ENTIRE flight had boarded which defeated part of the reason I paid for the upgrade. This was on top of the fact I was so thirsty because 1st flight didn't have drink service and because it was late I had to book it to the connection arriving sweaty, hot and needing to use the bathroom. I was told they had given my seat away to someone as a free upgrade. Joe offered me a $100 voucher to take other seat which was less than I paid for 1st class, plus the seat was a middle seat in the rear of the plane. When I told him as much, he tried to manipulate me by telling me that they would have to kick someone out of my seat. When I declined the downgrade, they made me stand by while they kicked someone out of my seat which was embarrassing and humiliating. Then, when they handed me a new boarding pass, it was not the seat I had paid for and selected, instead it was in the first row, which I’ve always hated because there is no under seat storage and I cannot keep my backpack with me. When I pay for first class, it is primarily so that I can board first and so that I have extra room to work (which I need access to my bag to do). While I was trying to take out the minimum of the things I needed from my bag and figure out how to manage without it, 3 times a flight attendant told me they had to take my bag (since I was the last person to board they tried to prevent me from using the bathroom and they were anxious to leave early). I tried to explain that Delta had prevented me from boarding earlier and that they gave away the seat I paid for which was NOT the first row."

Prós: "The agents at the gate were very efficient and the flight crew was attentive and pleasant."
Contras: "My seat area was not clean. The arm rest and the tray area had food? on it."

Contras: "They intolerant, unprofessional, they overbook flights and blame the passenger, they don't help you when this happens, they cancelled my booking and tried to blame me, they act as if they have a right to treat a customer like garbage. Don't EVER book a flight with this company. If you do you are taking a huge risk."

Contras: "I traveled with my family from San Francisco to Brazil We were told that we should get the Yellow Fever vaccine even before we leave San Francisco. We called Copa and every time each of us talked to Copa we were given a different instruction. Very confusing and stressful. We decided not to get the vaccination, taking into consideration the cost of it, $159.00 for each family member!!!"

Prós: "The extra space between seats even in economy class. The food and service surpass most US airlines, excepting Southwest."

Contras: "I bought a ticket economy plus but cops gave economy seat. I said several times that I purchase economy plus but cops ignored it. It is so bad and rude."

"There was a delay in NYC, so to take the connection in Miami I had to run across the airport. Then the flight delayed in Miami, and the schedule in GRU - São Paulo was too tight, so I missed the flight to Porto Alegre. When coming from international flights, the connection time needs to be more spaced because of immigration bureaucracy."

Contras: "I never got to fly !!! I was flying to Rio de Janeiro from USA and my flight got canceled, so I never made it to Rio therefore I wasn’t able to fly to São Paulo . I called you guys and the airline to see what you could do for me . Very bad customer service considering there’s a pandemic. I understand certain flights are non refundable but during the circumstances you could’ve gave a voucher to use later but instead you tried to charge me more money to make changes when I didn’t even know when I was able to fly. To all this I lost my money and my chance to fly later . Never again I will buy anything from Kayak . You just lost a customer!!!"

Contras: "Include the luggage into the price of the ticket, Brazilian airliners often charge luggage separately."

Contras: "I had payed for an seat Gol + Conforto and one of the benefits was that the hand baggage compartment supposed to be exclusive to the people that bought this seat, so when I was entrancing into the aircraft one of the people of the GOl crew said that I’ll have to drop my baggage because the flight was full. I told that I had bought the Gol + Confort that have exclusive compartment to the hand baggage and I had showed my receive of the seat but they sayd that this benefits do not exist and took my baggage of me to drop off. It was an absurd and the worse thigh was that when I arrived at my seat, the exclusive space for my baggage was there available for my baggage and I had to drop off because the employee of the Gol didn’t know about this benefit of Gol + Confort seat and didn’t check out if really wasn’t space to my baggage"

Returned to gate twice. 11 a.m. flight arrived at 9:30 PM ( 3 hr flight). Poor gate attendant was left to fend for herself as she was fed false and contradictory information."

Prós: "My flight was fine - I paid for a Premium Seat, which also allowed me a premium boarding position, which I highly recommend for anyone flying. The seat was comfortable, the staff was very friendly and I really liked the in-flight entertainment."
Contras: "At the DFW security post for my gate, there was NO TSA-pre. That service stops at 7pm. I would think at a major airport like DFW where American Airlines has a hub, they would make sure to staff that longer. Just getting to keep my shoes on, while having to drag all my electronics and liquids out, take my coat and belt off, etc. is not acceptable. AA should put the pressure on DFW to treat their customers better!"

Prós: "Flight was pleasant and all the crew members were courteous."

Contras: "Flight was delayed almost two hours due to crew staffing issues."

Prós: "Nothing."
Contras: "Was informed when we checked in that the flight we had purchased did not exists. We were informed thatcher would have to wait 24hours (after an already 7 hour layover) to catch another flight to Los Angeles. After debating with customer servinge several times and being forced to wait in line after being told things were fixed several time we had to threaten to record conversations and had someone call American Airlines headquarters and finally was able to get in the flight the same night. We at work be point were laughed at by an American Airlines customer service professional. I had purchased upgraded seats since I’m over 6 feet tall and they were not able to accommodate on the new flight, the flight was horrible and I had ton stand up every hour to make I the whole 12 hours."

Contras: "It was nice. And boarding was good too."

Prós: "The only decent point was the food. Not great but at least edible."
Contras: "Since check in in São Paulo was a complete chaos. There were only 2 people helping on check in (in machines) and these people were still not helping people (like me) with questions about on how to do check in in those machines. On the other hand to dispatch the bags there were almost 8 attendants to receive the bags. Ridiculous! I’ve tried calling American Airlines and Latam several times to assign a seat for me and they swore there were only middle seats but I know how airlines work to make extra money on these seats. At the end, they only gave me a middle seat option and I had to take I.t of course. On the plane I realized there were dozens of empty seats and yet they made sure not give them to me or anyone else. Unbelievable! Unfortunately I still have to use AA on my way back to Brazil. After this, I’ll chose another airlines for sure. Also, the 3,4,3 arrangement is ridiculous: there’s no corridor space making people touching you everything someone passes by your seat. And boy! Those seats are so uncomfortable and there’s no way to incline the chair so you can even have a little rest (because it’s impossible to even sleep on those seats). The crew were simply doing their jobs! No pleasure! No smile! No engaging with anyone unfortunately! They looked miserable and I asked for water and the flight attendant NEVER brought me anything. Seriously! Water is free!"

Prós: "This flight is the normal nonstop from Mia to StL. The seating is tight but not completely uncomfortable."
Contras: "I just had knee replacement 4 1/2 months ago. It was difficult to fully extend my leg under the seat in front of me because the space between rows has shrunk to include more seating."

Contras: "the fly got delayed for more than 3 hours."

Contras: "Seats and food"

Contras: "There was just an announcement that the refreshments will be served shortly but there were no refreshments. Take off and landing was horrible. Flight was shaking way more than usual."

Prós: "It was easy to travel"

Prós: "Lots of movie options."
Contras: "I didn't like anything else about the flight. My seat was broken and the seats are incredibly cramped! Absolutely no leg room whatsoever. I am 6 feet tall which is an average male height so I can't imagine how anyone taller fits in those seats."

Prós: "Easy and customer service at lax was awesome and very helpful!!!"
Contras: "The 45 minute bag time that's it may or may not be able to go 45 mins within boarding ."

Prós: "This was the same crew and pilot from the flight I took to LAX. His landing was so smooth, I woke up pleasantly upon landing!"

Contras: "The hour delay due to maintenance and fueling."

Prós: "Why would a jet this size wobble all the way across the Atlantic! The pretzels were even stale, and they served a "pizza" that was a stale mini loaf with sauce and a little mozzarella. People were starving when breakfast was served. The thermostat fluctuated from horribly hot to freeing - for 14 hrs. The crew slammed things down on table trays, grumped, were giving harsh orders to patrons rather than gently directing them. These ladies do not enjoy their job. I am done with Delta. We were also an hour late taking off due to a door on a cargo hold not closing. I was embarrassed that our Aussie friends experienced this as their first American flight."
Contras: "Food, attitude of flight attendants, comfort of cabin. Pilot took charge of thermostat issue and kept us informed in a friendly manner regarding the status of our take off and flight progress."

Prós: "Customer service good. Offered food/service quickly."
Contras: "Film selection was subpar, and had no subtitles available. Flight safety information video so unbelievably boring. Flight crew repeated all instructions at least 3 times including video interruptions. What is the point of having in flight entertainment if crew will interrupt said entertainment at least once every 10 min to remind you you are still in turbulent air? Do they honestly think the passengers forgot? We are in the plane too! I understand they have to be careful due to liability but this airline is ridiculous. Believe it or not customers do not like being treated like children. Would not recommend to others or fly this airline again. Also, the lunch was awful even by airline standards. Btw the airline was avianca not AA. kayak must have messed up or they are owned by AA. AA is great and I recommend them wholeheartedly but Avianca is awful. Stay away if you can afford to do so."

Prós: "On time"
Contras: "Boarding numbers"

Prós: "My neighbor."
Contras: "We sat on the tarmac for over an hour for no apparent reason."

Contras: "I nearly missed my flight because I did not have a seat for a flight that I bought a ticket for at full price. Which, would lead one to believe that I would have a seat on said flight. However, coming to the gate an hour before boarding the personnel working gate the said he was having computer difficulties and could not get me a seat and it would be 10 min. I continued to return till boarding to find out I had no seat and I was on standby. Upon going to customer service they replied the airline oversold tickets and every airline does this as if to make this practice ok. Well being in sales myself and if I were to sell x amount of product to one customer ( or several) I better make sure I have it all there to deliver. People rely on you schedule wise. It nearly shot a meeting I had to make in the foot. Very disappointed with the airline and the way things were handled."

Prós: "Speedy boarding"
Contras: "Unmotivated crew, uncomfortable seats."

Contras: "I had my reservation cancelled despiste numerous phone calls. The flight was operated by AA, and they told me I wasn't on the flight, but after many phone calls LATAN assured me I was booked on the flight. When I got to the airport, I was not allowed to board my direct flight from GRU to LAX, instead I was sent to Miami then Charlestown , I took me an extra 12 hours to get home. I lost a day of work. Who's going to reimburse me for that ???"

Contras: "Boarding was chaotic, with people sitting in wrong seats and walking the wrong way down the plane. Crew were not especially friendly. I know it was at the tail end of a long Sunday, but it wasn't impressive."

Prós: "Entertainment, 110 plugins for devices, internet."
Contras: "only free meal option was cinnamon cookies."

Prós: "The ginger ale."
Contras: "This was my return trip with more delays due to maintenance issues of the aircraft. 10/17/16 flight 1585 was the outgoing flight delayed five hours on my departing trip. I waited at the baggage carousel 15 minutes for my bag after over an hour delay due to switching aircrafts. With a flight arriving this late in the evening with the low volume of bags checked (due to checked luggage charges), this should not be the case. Five minutes to gulp down ginger ale."

Prós: "All flights were on time Greatly enjoyed the trip"

Prós: "On time, arrived early."
Contras: "Seats too close in front of you."

Prós: "Flight was on time. Plane was clean. Staff very professional."

Contras: "Attempted to make my connection which was in another terminal. Could not get onboard as they shut the doors. My rerouted flight was in a different terminal. Overall a very disappointing travel experience."

Prós: "It took off on time and life was good."

Prós: "The plane has improved greatly with their comfort and leg space"
Contras: "With checking my luggage my bag fee was waived a total of seven times this trip because I'm a military wife to see my husband overseas who is serving a year in Saudi Arabi except this past time on October 2nd at DCA airport. Spoke with the Supervisor Ralph who stated it was against policy. How stringent is this policy if it was waived seven times previously? Policy needs to be reviewed with entire staff. I will no longer use American Airlines because their military convenience and policies no longer seem to favor the military. My husband also after speaking with him will also no longer use your airline including all his members he overseas when they return after their year tour."

Prós: "The people"
Contras: "The seats are too small I'm 6'1 and that's not that tall"

Contras: "The crew definitely needs to be changed. There needs to be hostesses who are more attentive and actually care about their passengers."

Contras: "How does American think it can get away with a mediocre business class fitting and charge the same as Lufthansa and United? In this flight, the did recline 170º but formed a ramp that did slowly slide the passenger under the set in front of him. I'd recommend someone from AA should fly Lufthansa Business Class or Singapore Airlines Business to check out how it should be done! ANd then, flying a beaten up 777-200er while its competitors fly 787 is nonhing but a shame!"

Prós: "The flight itself was as good as expected: Attentive crew and competent pilot, good enough food, comfortable enough (for coach) seats, and clean airplane. The seats could be made to recline a bit more but nobody seems to be doing it for coach class."
Contras: "The flight was delayed 30 minutes causing me to lose the connecting flight home by about 5 minutes There was no effort from United to help me to get the second flight on time or from the crew on that one to delay it enough for me to arrive. They suggested I waited 9 hours for the next available flight or to get one by AA in Reagan Airport in 3 hours. They told me that transportation to that airport would not be reimbursed and would cost between 20 and 40 dollars. I didn't know the airports were that far apart and the one-hour taxi drive cost me 80 dollars. From Sao Paulo to Washington, things went as well as expected. Once landed everything was horrible."

Prós: "The flight departed early and arrived early, good flight attendant service"
Contras: "Long wait on the cold jetbridge for our carryon baggage, tight quarters on the plane"

Prós: "I had absolutely no complaints about this trip"

Contras: "Electrical service was spotty"

Contras: "Luggage took >1hr. Flew w Copa - always got bad seats when on United flights"

Prós: "Flight attendant was friendly and plane ride was smooth."
Contras: "Flight got delayed twice (3+hours total) then we had to wait another 40 minutes for the plane to get there, deplane, and get cleaned up and restocked."

Contras: "flight was over two hours late because of a late incoming plane. That may be for good reason, but we weren't told until less than one hour before takeoff. It doesn't make sense that the airline just found out one hour before takeoff that the flight was two hours behind. We should have been told sooner about the delay, while we had other choices of alternate flights."

Contras: "This plane was awful. I don't know how anyone who is not miniature sized could be comfortable on this plane. I am 6' 1" and ~ 200 lbs, not huge by any means, but not tiny. I legitimately could not stand up (so I had to sort of slouch walk down the aisle to find my seat at the back of the plane), then the seats themselves were so narrow that I ached terribly when seated in any position for more than acouple of minutes."

Prós: "Crew was helpful."
Contras: "Very uncomfortable chairs"

Prós: "From check in at IAH to a 15 min early arrival everything ran smoothly and on time. Pleasant trip."

Contras: "Flight was 3 1/2 hours delayed. Missed my original connection. Missed the second connection because (as the attendants told us) they were unable to get ANY flight information to inform the passengers of where their connecting flight was. They were also pretty snotty and acted like it was our fault that we might miss a flight. I'm now sitting in Houston for the final flight of the day."

Prós: "Ease of checking in by phone & printing out board passes."
Contras: "That the ride was so rough. Pilot apologized & said it was just a bad nite. It was a smaller plane so that maybe made the turbulence feel worse too."

Prós: "We got my wife on a plane home in under four hours."
Contras: "United decided to bump some of their glorified bus drivers ahead of me on standby so I had to wait a full four hours in O'Hare listening to some doichebag from LA try to entertain folks at the Goose Island bar with his stories about selling franchises."

Prós: "The snacks were great"
Contras: "Clearly a new flight crew. They needed some more practice with efficiency and reading the statements they are required to make. Previous flight was over an hour late arriving at the airport meaning that our flight was just as late departing for our flight. First we were told the flight was 20 minutes late, then 8 minutes late, then 40 minutes late, then 55 minutes late... Every time they told us the incoming flight was about to land."

Prós: "Flight was delayed..boarding for St Louis was one of the worse flights I have ever seen..crew was rude..asked for a juice and she was mad because I didn't finish it..very uncomfortable flight..small plane."
Contras: "Got home"

Contras: "No room on board for carry on luggage and when gate checking luggage it resulted in further delaying me to make my connecting flight"

Prós: "I really liked that the flight attendants came through to offer drinks and pick up trash several times and not just once, even after the turbulence that we had. I really liked the alternative wafers instead of the traditional trail mix or peanuts."
Contras: "I have no complaints with my flight, but I would sincerely appreciate if United offered some kind of neck pillow or a thin rolled up blanket for extra comfort on longer flights (5+ hours). These minor comforts are forgotten when packing my own bags when worrying about everything else."

Contras: "It's 2.5 hours past our scheduled departure time and we're still sitting at the gate"

Prós: "United really could have done better informing us of delay, then cancellation. I knew it was likely to be delayed due to weather, and kept checking the status. It wasn't listed as delayed until nearly boarding time, although it seems pretty clear they knew well before that. But SFO was a star. The new decor is sophisticated and comfortable. Bathrooms were like at a swanky night club! Comfy chairs and charging outlets every where. The biggest hit was the Exploratorium installation, which kept my and plenty of other kids entertained!"
Contras: "Wayfinding signage from BART is confusing. BART connection is a pain. The machines in the station only take $1 and $5 bills-- no 20s or credit cards! And no one at BART cares if you are running late for a flight."

Prós: "The plane was unboarded due to mechanical problem but a new plane was found and within an hour we were back on board. Appreciate the quick turnaround."

Prós: "There were maybe two of the flight attendants. Who weren't rude. The rest well, I guess didn't like there jobs? I lost all my money for my first flight, because i was over 4 hours late. When i purchased a ticket from cheapo air, the person helping me was so nice. Unlike United airlines, or Viama. When i missed my flight that i paid $1,300.00, United said they'd give me another ticket for $4,000? This was a one time offer to redeem my $1,300 Viama said $10,500? I will only buy my tickets from cheapo air from now on."
Contras: "The flight attendants are very snotty, 2 out of the 18 I encountered were polite. The rest acted like they hated their jobs, and all the passengers. When you travel to another country they should have at least one person who speaks English. Can't really say much for the food, essentially requesting a vegetarian meal was out of the question, so i just starve. Drink some watered down booze, take a few dramamine and sleep. The layovers are ridiculous. 14 hours, 8 hours 4 hours? Good thing God made Beer and pizza."

Contras: "Girl at gate was rude!!! After missing connecting because of Uniteds negligence, my brand new luggage first time used, zipper to main compartment was ripped half way out!! My clothes and stuff hanging out as its coming out baggage claim!!!!!! This was a nightmare"

Contras: "The snacks are too small."

Prós: "Aircraft with old decoration. Could not see a single smile from the crew."

Contras: "Our flight got canceled due to airport issues at our destination. United canceled the flight but had no alternative flights to get us home. Flights the next day were full. Took over an hour with the service desk to reroute tickets to cancel them and to get bags back then took two hours at baggage claim to get the bags back. Customer service was basically useless. After all that, we didn't get any of our money back! I will be avoiding United airlines. Flight cancelation was not their fault but the way they handled the rest of it was embarrassing."

Prós: "The amenities are fabulous. The flight was very comfortable."

Prós: "The young lady who was the flight attendant was very nice and tried to make a very bad situation somewhat bearable. There were a number of children on the flight that she was very attentive to. I hope united treats their employees better than they treat their passengers."
Contras: "The flight was delayed for 4 hours. We were told to proceed to the United terminal in spite of the delay. There seemed to be no effort to inform or assist us. There was very little to do in this terminal but wait to see if our flight would eventually come. There were other United passengers in the terminal who were also waiting for overly delayed flights. eventually, we had a plane that was extremely small, cramped and uncomfortable. United seems to consistently oversell its seats and then tried to get people to give up their seats. Very poorly managed airline with bad customer service. Sadly, I have to say that I have never had an acceptable experience on a united flight. Will NOT take another United flight."

Prós: "Same as above. Did notice the woman staffing the counter at boarding having extreme patience with people's problems and non problems. She was great and deserves a raise. Denver gate B 85 between 1:00 and 3:00 6/15/16."

Contras: "Take forever to load. No entertainment. Hard, uncomfortable seats, no food. Kept talking about "premiere plus" benefits. Why does it cost $80 to have not bad service?"

Contras: "airport gate lady would't let me run to the bathroom and quickly return for my checked carry-on for "security reasons." Then I heard about 4-5 people being paged to come pick up their checked carry-on luggage."
