Tight connection and first flight was late, so we got bumped off our connection (they literally removed our names from the flight, even though we could've sprinted through the airport and made it if they waived the 20 minute before departure gate closure). It was an exhausting and long wait for the next flight and I did not think it was well-handled. Staying in a hotel is not a great option, because it takes 2 hours to get out of the airport, another 2 hours cushion to get back in time."

Prós: "It is so far a cut above the American carriers. There’s no way to compare them, because Qatar Airways is so far superior. The seats are far more comfortable and larger, the amount of legroom is far superior, you have much more personal space, and the craft is cleaner. Flight Attendants are fantastic! They provide excellent personal care, and are there for everything. They are supremely polite and courteous, and bring things in mediately. Very often anticipating your needs. This is what flying used to be like on United and American. But those people have completely forgotten what service is. Qatar is a 5 star airline. United and American, to my view, are 2 star at best."

Not having a Visa kept me.from entering the immigration and security wont let me in without a boarding pass. security supervisor had to contact Emirates ground staff who escorted me."

This procedure is Unjust and Humiliating for innocent passengers try to take a flight with absolutely nothing to hide."

Swiss Air better take responsibility for their shady staff and agree to replace my don’s Phone promptly or we will take this to the public eye and courts. I’m sure we could get a big class action suit."

Contras: "I liked everything except the airplane itself, which I hated. I was fortunate enough to get an exit row on my long flight going over; I did not get lucky on my way home. The flights between Zurich and Brindisi were more comfortable than the long haul flights. The long haul flights are abominable and should be outlawed by governments as they are currently configured. The boy next to me literally could not fit his legs/thigh bones in the space provided by his seat. I did okay as I am not tall, until the woman in front of me decided to lean back. It is not her fault, however, though I thought nasty things about her and periodically tried to dig my knees into her back to get her to lift up her seat. The fault belongs entirely to Swiss Air, which chooses to treat human customers as steerage. The only thing that made the experience worse was the impossibility of choosing my seat online for my return because I had only a smart phone with not-great wifi available. Choosing one's seat should not be dependent on having good wifi and a computer, however. It is bad practice to "sell" seat choices. The families around me were not able to sit together because of this shoddy, greedy practice on the part of the airline. It is also not fair, subsequently, that other passengers are faced with giving up the seats they've chosen, or been given, to assist families in sitting together. Honestly, the extent of the greed on the part of airlines nowadays is astonishing. What used to be a thoroughly enjoyable way of traveling has become an ordeal at best."

Contras: "1) my seat was broken (didn't recline) 2) my USB charger... Broken.. 3) my food was in a metal container that was stamped and the ink from the stamp leaked and was pressed across my food. I was literally not about to eat the alphabet... (luckily, a nice attendant came by and apologized, as I know it was not her fault the food came out like this. 4) Rude attendant came over 25 mins after I had turned on my attendant button to ask for a bottle of water. (I turned it on while they were still serving drinks) (also forgot I needed water to take some medicine that required to drink a full glass) She came up to me and my fellow passenger, yelled at BOTH us while she was waving her hands our face. I mentioned to her "it's not polite to treat people this way" she moved her hands closer to my face thrusting her whole body over my fellow passengers face, and continued yelling at me about turbulence (while she's completely avoiding the rule herself.) He and I were both seated and buckled and not bothering anyone. She could've just taken her own lecture and kept ignoring the signal. I wrote about this in customer support letter that the 'NICE' and 'Helpful' attendant Gave to me that sincerely apologized for the previous attendants behavior."

Prós: "My flight from Budapest to Istanbul was delayed by weather and heavy flight traffic in Istanbul. At booking time, I had only a 1 hour layover, which I commonly NEVER schedule. Upon arrival at the IST terminal gate, I exited quickly and was met at the end of the runway by a Turkish Airlines customer service rep, permitting me to transit directly to the transit lounge, rather than sending me back through security yet again. As she looked at my boarding pass for the next flight, she knew who I was and she sent me directly to the proper gate for my next flight. Turkish Airlines, you ROCK! (My bag even made the connection!)"

Contras: "There was a steaward who was not very friendly whenever I asked for something which was a right he would make faces. He even passed my row and did not serce us and I had to ask the steawrd of the other aisle who was very friendly and nice. I was very desappointed by his behaviour. It was my first time on Turkish Airlines."

I have been traveling for 30 years and tried almost all airlines, but the Turkish Airline office at Cairo Airport ranked the poorest I have ever seen. The disorganization was as if they do not know what to do. First they said the plane arrived late, then they said there was a bird hitting the engine. The excuses were so laughable beyond belief."

Contras: "As our first flight got delayed, me and 28 other pallengers flying to israel told the airline agents that we would miss our connection flightfrom turkey to israel. The supervisor assured us that we have nothing to worry about, as the second plane would wait as we are many passengers.however when we landed in turkey the connection flight had already left without us. When trying to speak to turkish airline representatives about getting a new flight, they were super UNhelpful, we waited in very long lines and were required so go to a few different parts of the airport to get a new ticket, a process that was not friendly at all and very frustrating. After about 2 hours of waiting on lines, i got a flight that required me to wait 7 hours in the airport and measley voucher for a very small fast food meal. When i asked to be admitted to the lounge (as i waited 7 hours in the airport due to the airlines mistake), they did not agree to grant me access. When i asked to at least get the wifi code from the lounge so i can tell my familly that i am stuck on turkey, this was also rejected. While waiting in the airport, i spoke to many other people on other flights who had been stuck in the airport under very simillar circumstances, some even worse than mine. I also have many friends who have experiences simillar experiences with turkish airlines. If you are looking for a reliable flight, that will get you to your destination on time and will help you out when a problem occurs, Turkish airlines is deffinetelly NOT the flight for you. I personally will never fly with them again after the way i was treated."

Aside from not answering emails or phones for days, even after getting in touch with someone the instructions I received were apparently only to waste my time because in the following correspondence it became clear they never intended on issuing a refund. I am a Military service member and was not authorized to take the flight I had booked, so after explaining the circumstances and submitting the requested memo...no refund! I will advise all my people to steer clear from Turkish Airlines."
Contras: "Wasn't able to go due to the coup and I haven't heard back from anyone and have not received a reimbursement. And when I call it takes more than 30 minutes to reach an actual person."

She also refused to assist us, and told us we needed to exit the airport and reenter through the ticketing counter. I upheld my end of the deal by reaching the gate in time. This situation needs to be rectified."
Contras: "I never fly United because the spirits aren’t free so I chose Lufthansa. You can imagine my disappointment when it became a United flight and had to pay. Lufthansa you’ve lost a customer here."

Contras: "Maybe US is ahead, but my experience with 2 terminals at Hanover and Frankfurt was that information exchange isn't good. Gate number was available at the last hour or so, which then got changed. Not just this flight. many flocks of people were running around to find their new gate... also as I mentioned climbing several stories of stairs with carry-on isn't fun! Not on this flight, but on my initial departure from US to FRA, monitors said go to Gate B. I got in line for Gate B as there was some security check, then we were told there was another B?!@ We had to go down and take the bus for that...written.. No where!"

WIth an extremely directive and dictating tone in his voice he told me YOU SHOULD GO AND SIT to what your ticket says. It is VERY important to be sited, although the seats are available you should be sited where your boarding pass directs you to be."
Contras: "I realized that some people of their crew are extremely insane! I have never had an issue like this, with DELTA or AIR FRANCE, or KLM, or NORWEGIAN, or SAS If it was only one persona that I had to deal with, which it was on my flight from NY to Munich I would say , it was coincidence . One person is not a statistical point and accuse the whole Company. But this was repeated on my second flight from Munich to Athens. Then I said, this is not coincidence, it is a pattern that is repeated and not professional . NEVER AGAIN WITH LUFTHANSA is my decision and my recommendation."

Contras: "flight crew hit my chair all the time with the troller. Bought the places with bigger space on the legs, that was true, but was dissapointed with the type of chair that is totally closed at the sides, with no scape room for the legs laterally."

Prós: "I like to fly LH on the BOS to FRA route as they are the only carrier to fly this route nonstop. Usually the service is quite good. The crew is attentive, offers water or juice repeatedly, gives you a warm moist handcloth before the mealservice to clean your hands. Check-in in FRa can be tedious becaiuse of long lines."
Contras: "LH experienced several strikes in the last two years or so. Once I had to stay an extra day, this time I had to cut a family visit a day short. While they handled the rebooking in both cases quite efficiently, not everyone might have the flexibility to change days so easily. It is also disappointing when one has to give up on a planned activity to make it back home on time. Movie selection could be updated and I miss having an actual newspaper or magazine to read on the long flight. Will have to pack my own oin the future."

Just because someone has paid extra for a better seat, does not mean they should inconvenience elderly people (who are less flexible in moving further back). This creates a poor environment. Please consider not having your seats recline to the point where they make the person in the seat behind, extremely uncomfortable."
Contras: "Flight attendants served too many drinks (hard liquor) to the passenger sitting in front of me, and continued serving him even after he was visibly drunk. When preparing for landing, one attendant gave an annoyed answer when I asked him to remind the same passenger to set his seatback in vertical position."

We received two meals and frequent beverage service. The seats were pretty comfortable, though when the seat in front of you reclined the space was greatly reduced."
Contras: "We had to pay to get seat assignments. it wasn't cheap and then they changed the seats we'd chosen to seats at the very back of the plane. The boarding process is chaotic, at least compared to American practices."
Prós: "They had lots of movies and TV options to choose from."
Contras: "The vegetarian option was very poor. Frankly a pizza snack in place of supper is not what I expect on a cross-Atlantic flight."
