Restrições de entrada
O Japão permite a entrada de estrangeiros que precisam se mudar para o Japão para estudar, trabalhar ou se juntar à família, sujeito aos requisitos de visto necessários. Também é permitida a entrada de estrangeiros em visita de negócios a curto prazo, desde que tenham visto. No entanto, o número de pessoas permitidas para entrar no Japão de acordo com essas regras será restrito, com prioridade para aqueles que se mudam para o Japão.
A partir de 24 de dezembro, o Japão restringiu a chegada de viajantes do Reino Unido.
A partir de 1º de novembro, todos os estrangeiros com o status de residência com uma autorização de reentrada válida não são obrigados a obter “a Carta de Confirmação de Envio da Documentação Requerida para Reentrada no Japão” ou “Recibo de Solicitação de Reentrada" ao retornar ao Japão de países designados como uma área sujeita à negação de permissão para entrar no Japão.

Residentes do Japão com status de “Residente Permanente”, “Cônjuge ou Filho de Cidadão Japonês”, “Cônjuge ou Filho de Residente Permanente” ou “Residente de Longo Prazo” que partiram do Japão com Permissão de Reentrada até 2 de abril de 2020 podem voltar a entrar no país, mesmo que tenham estado em um dos países acima. A partir de 1º de setembro, esses viajantes também precisarão se inscrever na embaixada ou consulado japonês mais próximo para receber uma “Carta de confirmação de reentrada” e podem precisar fornecer um resultado de teste PCR na chegada. Cidadãos da China com passaportes emitidos na província de Hubei ou na província de Zhejiang não podem entrar no país, a menos que possam provar que não estiveram nessas províncias nos últimos 14 dias.
Os viajantes que estavam no navio de cruzeiro ‘Westerdam’ não podem entrar no país, a menos que sejam cidadãos japoneses.
Cidadãos japoneses, seus cônjuges e filhos que possam apresentar prova, viajantes com Autorizações de Residência Permanente Especial com autorizações de reentrada de um oficial de imigração regional e militares dos EUA ainda podem entrar no país.
Os viajantes e tripulantes de companhias aéreas que estiveram em qualquer um dos países listados até agora nos últimos 14 dias devem enviar um questionário de quarentena e passar por um teste PCR na chegada.
Regras especiais se aplicam a tripulantes de companhias aéreas que entram no Japão. Os membros da tripulação devem enviar questionários de quarentena e declarações de “Plano de estadia no Japão”. As tripulações devem seguir as instruções fornecidas no documento de quarentena "Aviso: Para tripulações embarcando em veículos de áreas sujeitas a quarentena reforçada." As companhias aéreas devem providenciar veículos fretados (em oposição ao transporte público) para transportar as tripulações entre o aeroporto e o hotel, e garantir que as tripulações cumpram as outras regras durante sua estada no Japão.

Requisitos de entrada
Todos os viajantes, incluindo cidadãos japoneses, devem apresentar um resultado negativo do teste PCR para COVID-19 emitido até 72 horas do horário de partida do voo.
Cidadãos e residentes japoneses também devem assinar e enviar um Juramento por escrito ao entrar no Japão. Residentes no Japão com autorização de reentrada devem ter um atestado médico com resultado negativo no teste do Coronavírus (COVID-19). O certificado deve ser em inglês e o teste deve ter sido feito no máximo 72 horas antes da partida e o método de coleta de amostra deve ser 'swab nasofaríngeo' ou 'saliva'. Requisitos de quarentena
Os viajantes japoneses e residentes que chegam do Reino Unido ou da África do Sul estão sujeitos a um auto-isolamento de 3 dias em um local designado pelo chefe da estação de quarentena. No terceiro dia, eles devem fazer o teste COVID-19 novamente. Se o teste for negativo, eles poderão continuar com o auto-isolamento de 14 dias conforme estabelecido abaixo. Além disso, eles devem se comprometer a manter as informações de localização e instalar um aplicativo de confirmação de contato COVID-19 (COCOA) ao entrar no Japão. Todos os viajantes que entram no Japão, incluindo cidadãos japoneses, residentes e cidadãos com dupla nacionalidade, devem fazer um teste PCR no aeroporto e se isolar por 14 dias em um local designado (como um hotel ou residência própria). I was under the assumption the extra charge would give me a seat with only one extra person next to me. Prós: "The plane we were on between Zurich and Copenhagen was comfortable and modern for such a short trip. This was a stark contrast to the old SAS airplane we flew in the opposite direction as a Swiss flight. The staff on the plane were friendly and helpful."

We tried to hold this flight (the return flight that we had paid for in our round trip ticket) but when we arrived at the airport we were informed that they had sold our seats. We had to pay $250 USD to fly standby (and "reissue" the tickets that we had already paid for) on a flight that was oversold by at least 6, and we heard other passengers also being told their tickets were sold. Their customer service for the ticket change and the phone calls made before hand where they promised to hold our tickets, were so disappointing, it was like dealing with any US based airline. We won't be flying with them again."

Even if my scheduled flight from boston wasn't canceled (I have no idea) they were incredibly unhelpful about the fact that I physically could not get to logan in time for my flight. (Mass DOT was asking everyone to stay off ALL roads). THEN on the way home, they would NOT let me fly back to Montreal where my car was!! WAY TOO RIGID RULES. Screw the customer!"

This flight to Geneva (change of airports) was late and the flight to Vienna took off with no passengers from our flight, after we were told it would wait. ' I paid for premium seats and did not get rebooked for the same. I am sitting in the Geneva airport for 7 and 1/2 hours, losing my meetings in Vienna. I never expected such poor service from Swissair."

But before that I found out I could not choose seats online for any of the Swiss Air Flights to and from Europe. It "had to be done" at the airport. Why? Never explained. I called Travis International, the agency booking the flights. Totally useless conversation resulted with no explanation."
Contras: "The Flights were longer than other airlines taking similar routes. The routing was absurd. To go from Naples to Munich and then turn around and go to Zurich before the 10 hour trip to Tampa made no sense. Lousy routing and customer service. Eidelswiss apparently is a lower-end branch of Swiss Air. My airfare was as much as and more than my other friends who flew Delta, for instance. Flights on other airlines did not take 10 hours from Zurich to Tampa. I lost the ticket receipts and could not claim anything for the items I bought to try get through the two full days without luggage, even though the airlines has a record of the claim. Outrageous!!"

Contras: "They gave me and the 2 other black people who were flying, the seats all the way in the back. I'm never telling the people at check in "just give me any seat" ever again! It was so obvious I almost complained to all the attendants! I just tried to keep my cool... HORRIBLE FIRST EXPERIENCE TO EUROPE!"

You should put it somewhere visibly so the person knows before booking. If i knew it before i never chose this airline."

Contras: "The flight from Nairobi to Zurich starts in Nairobi, flies an hour south to Dar es Salaam, you then sit on the tarmac for an hour, then you fly north for an hour until you get back to the starting point. I would think they would save money if they flew an empty plane down to Dar es Salaam, picked up those passengers and then flew back to Nairobi. No way should an 8.5 hour flight take over 11.5 hours. Plus my screen didn't work for one of the flights, nearly 12 hours without entertainment was BS. No real variety in their meals either. The first leg had a main meal of beef and potatoes as the meat option, same option for the second leg."

And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"

So much trouble for us because the agent was not able to do the check-in properly."

I was in the middle seat next to an inattentive octanegarian who was nice but kept calling the flight crew to fix her mess up of the video system. No air controls on this plane - so it was overly warm. 10 hours of overly warm makes for a stinky passenger. Oof."

Contras: "Teenage crew, poor service (not even water brought on request, all "self service" at back of flight, and not being allowed a second drink with dinner), poor language skills (crew not very helpful when 2 hour delay meant I could miss connecting flight, suggesting I "walk fast")."

Contras: "The gate changed 3 times and the terminal was very crowded. The staff seemed disinterested and distracted. The quality of the food has dropped dramatically."

Prós: "The entertainment screen was a small 4" screen. The movie selection was outdated. The screen in my seat did not work. Flight attendant said she would "call to have it reset" but it never worked. Fortunately, there was an adjacent empty seat that I moved to on my own initiative and without the flight attendant offering a seat change."
Prós: "Very good male crew member. Pilot genuinely apologetic for the delay."
Contras: "After running due to a 1 hr 10 min change over between flights boarding didn't prioritise anyone but I got on fine. Only to be told at the departure time that there was a problem with the baggage hold and we were delayed. In total 50 minutes late leaving. Breakfast a simple brioche with nothing to add to it."

Contras: "My flight was cancelled, I was sent around to multiple desks and terminals and no one wanted to assist me, then my luggage was lost."

Contras: "It was raining in Prague so I can understand that luggage is going to get wet. But when we opened our luggage at least half of our clothes were wet. It would seem that the luggage sat out for quite a while prior to departure for that much soaking of clothes. Fortunately we are staying in Paris for a few days and can get our clothes dried out."

Contras: "Disorganized uninformed staff. One says I have to have an additional "random" security check after going through the same thing in security. Turns out it wasn't random and I didn't need it. Both times they read my boarding pass wrong thought I was going to Tel Aviv - not random. Airport was hot as hell! Flight kept getting delayed then we had a gate change as well. Finally got on the plane and it took forever to take off so we were basically sitting in a sauna for 30+ minutes."
