Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had. The staff was disrespectful and would not help us. We ended up taking another flight until the following night!!"

I guess I should be thankful for the hour plus delay in departure."

Thing which of course didn't do... very bad service.. I'll keep traveling with easyJet and reconsider British airways only for a super cheap flight."

Contras: "We were never offfered a snack! The people in the rows ahead of us got a snack and the people behind us did as well. Last leg of a 3 flight series of about 13 hours (and overnight), so some coffee and a small snack would have been enjoyed."

Contras: "Last seat on the right side and it would not recline. I was ready to sleep on the flight but without even the slightest bit of recline in the seat it was not going to happen. No food No entertainment No comfort No sleep"

Contras: "We boarded late, sat on the plane for more than 2 hours (it was uncomfortably warm) and were told we then had to switch planes due to a mechanical problem. I understand this happens, but for the inconvenience BA should give some sort of compensation. After the long wait we were starving, but they ran out of all of the food choices. We were scheduled to arrive at 16:30 but ended up arriving after 22:00. this wasted our first night of our vacation in Rome. There was one passenger in particular who was yelling, swearing and causing a scene because of the flight delay. His rude behavior was rewarded with an upgrade to first class. The message this sends to your passsengers is that we should all be loud and obnoxious when problems arise. I was not impressed with my first experience with BA."
Contras: "Checked 3 bags. 65 euros each. I think you own this one."
Prós: "The staff were all very friendly, and even though we did not get seats together at check in, the gate agent managed to find us seats together which made the trip more enjoyable."
Contras: "I was disappointed to find that there were absolutely no entertainment or connectivity options on board a 2 1/2 hour flight. It's pretty much standard across carriers now to have at least internet access and a portable device entertainment option. I also did not enjoy paying for even the most basic beverages on the flight. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks should be included. You'll save a pound, but lose a customer."

Contras: "The flight could not properly land because there were issues with another plane on the tarmac. Due to the 40min delay in London. I missed the connection flight to Rome and it was disappointing because I arrived in Rome 8 hours later because I had to board a flight to Barcelona and connect there. My luggage was left in Barcelona when I landed in Rome and I did not have my luggage for 2 days. Very disappointing travel day and I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else."
Prós: "Pre boarding made us 3 hrs late to sorrento Italy"
Prós: "The crew were fantastic, the seats were spacious but not overly comfortable. Flight was punctual and bags came quickly."
Contras: "Lounge was overcrowded, the plane was very old (the headrest of the man next to me fell off) with no entertainment whatsoever"
Contras: "I'm surprised there were no complimentary beverages. Also, this is not the airline's fault, but the woman sitting next to me was wearing an excessive amount of perfume, which gave me a headache. I think the airline should make recommendations for passengers not to be heavily scented. As a physician, I worry about patients with RADS (reactive airways dysfunction syndrome) who can develop bronchospasm if exposed to individuals wearing lots of perfume, and a plane is an enclosed space."

On my way to Rome, a group of students were yelling and crawling all over the seats and blocking the aisle. Worst"

Prós: "TAP serves edible cheese sandwiches. First time in years I eat plane food and don’t immediately regret it."
Contras: "I travel with an international carry-on designed to fit in comoartments above seats in any and all planes (Tumi alpha 2 International), and yet TAP would claim it was too large to fit and forced me to check it. My problem is not only the wait once we land, but most improtsntly that the bags are beat up in the journey. Indeed, my carry-on arrived with several scratches on the plastic edges as well as some signs of worn on the textile. Because of this carry-on baggage size restrictions, I will not fly TAP airlines again (unless I can travel with my hand purse only)."

Contras: "When TAP couldn’t get me to Lisbon in time to make my connection they added a flight to Madrid where I waited until 16:00 to fly to Seville. I talked to several TAP representatives and none were helpful or apologetic and they offered me nothing for the problems they caused. I missed my only day in Seville due to this. This trip turned out to be a disaster."

Contras: "Tap changed the times on my original flight from Portugal to Rome then changed the times from my first flight from Boston to Portugal making it impossible to connect from Portugal to Rome.both flights were tap airlines. We were charged 462.00 extra to take the next flight out 3hours later. We were charged twice for the same flight from Portugal to Rome. It was not our fault that we could not connect in Portugal, every other airlines would make resonable accommodations with out any extra charge. We both feel cheated by tap airlines and it made our vacation very stressful trying to resolve the double charge. It has not been resolved as of yet and we our very disappointed on how we were treated. can’t get anything other than the blame being passed around."
Prós: "Everything was great. No complaints, just an acknowledgement abt layovers and the time needed. Had an hour an a half layover but by the time you get on line to go thru customs n security again we were definitely cutting it close but that's TSA not the airline but the airline could have maybe added another maybe 20-25 mins to the layover. We felt like world travellers running for our connecting flight tho and we loved it! Lol!"

Contras: "My wife and I arrived to the airport for our honeymoon extremely excited. We had been saving for our trip to Italy for months, and we were finally going to get things started. Everything fell apart when we went to check in and we were told that my wife couldn’t use her ticket because she had changed her last name. We were told that there was no way that the name on the ticket could be changed because of TSA regulations. Of course, we were also told that we could have changed the name had we purchased a more expensive ticket. In other words, we were lied to and told the issue was regulation, when really they wouldn’t help us because we couldn’t afford a more expensive ticket. The only help we were given was the pleasure of paying over $1,500 more to get my wife on the flight. I am in the process of trying to get this refunded, but as of now we have paid twice for my wife to fly, and neither ticket has been refunded. We may have accidentally broken a rule, but the only function that rule seems to have is to make us pay twice for the same seat. As of now, I would never fly this airline again, and I would warn everyone away from it. I will update this post if TAP does the right thing by two honeymooners."

Contras: "This was the worst flight I've ever experienced. There was an incessant, loud high-pitched buzzing noise for the entire duration of the flight (we were seated in the very back row so it was particularly loud for us, but others further up said it was bad for them too). Also, we had straight turbulence for over two hours. I've never gotten sick on a plane before, and my husband never gets motion sickness, but we both threw up (and I think several others did, too). I don't blame the crew for any of this, as I know most, if not all, of it was out of their control. However, I would be very nervous to flight TAP again due to this experience."
Contras: "5 hrs delay and missed all connecting flights. Airline initially rescheduled flight 2 days later. Called Kayak and got no support. Kayak agent told us to keep pushing the airline. After 2 hrs of "working" with the airline, we were able to fly into Madrid the following day. Had to spend extra money for hotel room and car rental in Madrid because our final destination was Sevilla. Will never work with Azores or Kayak again. BTW, did we mention that while "working" with Azores to reschedule flight, we were booked to fly into an island off of Africa. Luckily, we followed up online with the changed itinerary."

Glad the international flight was more comfortable. Somehow we did not get the memo that there was a 0 baggage allowance for an international flight. Most give 1 or two bags free. So when we had to pay 80 euros for each bag it started off our trip with TAP a lot disappointed. We still have to fly back and we can go online and pay before hand and get it for 45 euros each. Increased out ticket prices by 205 euros. Will make me take a second thought before I book with TAP again."

Contras: "The food service was cancelled due to being short a flight attendant. We were initially advised that the food had not made it to the aircraft. Afterwards we saw the crew eating while we were left with no food or drink service. We then discovered that since they were short one crew member the crew would not serve food or drinks for "safety concerns". It turns out they could have served but preferred to adhere to their union under the guise of passenger safety and remain seated the entire flight doing crossword puzzles and the like which definitely made me feel much safer."

Prós: "The plane arrived in Lisbon without falling out of the sky prematurely."
Contras: "The process of checking my bag was brutal. It took an hour and half of waiting in line because the staff's management of the flow of people was so chaotic. Finally, a staff member realized that certain passengers were at risk of missing their flight and invited those passengers (like me) to jump to the head of the line. Otherwise, no communication from the staff to the queue of anxious people."
Contras: "I was so dissatisfied with the customer service and lack of help provided after a FULL and LARGE flight was cancelled to Lisbon (then ultimately to Rome for me). I would like a FULL refund for my flight plus my miles accredited to my account for the full trip to Rome."

Contras: "Crew was rude, unhelpful, and the business class seats were essentially coach with the middle seat unoccupied. It was extremely uncomfortable and made worse by the crew being very impatient and not helpful when we had people in our seats, a 3-year-old we were trying to seat, and all of the overhead compartments closed so unclear where to place bags. Boarding began 20 min late and then we had to stand on the boarding ramp for another 20 min while the crew finished "cleaning" the aircraft."
Contras: "We experienced a 6 hour delay in Lisbon because there was no fuel available - terrible planning causing us to spend hours on the runway."

The crew did what was needed but made you feel like they were doing you a favour by showing up for work. Other airlines such as emirates, ethiad, virgin Australia all make a person feel welcome with great attention to detail international flight from Europe to the US. I will never fly air Europa again as I feel they are dishonest. The charge for the headphones is ridiculous when the entertainment is limited (most tv series will have one episode and the shows are old) The food was sub par. The sandwich with one sliver of ham was pathetic and the main meal was lacking with only chicken and rice, a small desert, no fruit/ salad and or crackers with cheese which is the norm on international flights."

Contras: "I reserved seats at purchase but the air Europa app did not recognize my seat selections and we ended up being seated at random. The boarding was just line up and board there wasn't any announcing or organizing by row or otherwise. We eventually all got on and ended up at the same place, it was just chaotic."

The passengers have no regard for safety or rules."
Contras: "There was a strike so out flight got delayed a few hours. But that wasn't air europa fault."
Prós: "The crew were faultless, friendly and attentive."
Contras: "The flight was cramped. For a shorter flight from Madrid to Tel Aviv Air Europa uses a state of the art Boeing 787 Dreamliner which lives up to its name. Why they don't use this aircraft for the long haul flight beats me. I'd rather be comfortable for 10 hrs and suffer for 5 instead of the other way around. Still, looking forward to the last leg home."
Contras: "The company offers onboard entertainment but we have to pay extra for the headphones, ridiculous ! Just add $3 to the flight tickets but don't charge us money for stupid made in China headphones for God's sake ! Next time British Airways or Air France for me no more Air Europa. Moreover: In Madrid just before boarding to Miami, a guy from Air Euopa asked me some questions regarding my stay in the U.S.. That is NOT his business ! "How long are you going to stay in the U.S." ? This is NOT his business ! His job is to check if my passport is OK with my boarding pass, that's all ! Abuse of power or he has no clue what he was doing."

Prós: "This is the most basic service of just get on the plane type of travel. Nothing is included. They would charge you for the air you breath if they thought they could get away with it."
Contras: "My carry-on of clearly leagal size was tested to see if it passed. Happy to say IT PASSED they could not charge me. No in flight entertainment as there is no place to put a headphone into. They tell you to use your smart phone. The flight attendants disappear and really are not there for any reason I could see except to find ways to charge you for something. When they do show up they basically try to ignore you."
Prós: "The seats had a power station so I could charge electronics in flight. Boarding was quick."
Contras: "We took off 30 minutes late without an explanation. The crew never spoke to me or asked if I needed anything. I was bumped many times by crew members as they walked past."

He was personable and funny and made us comfortable after waiting a long time to finally board."
Contras: "We couldn't find it! Our boarding pass said go to Gate ABC however that's not a thing. Each Gate A, Gate B, and Gate C had like 60 options. The crew from the previous flight didn't mention how to find connections or where to go and when we asked airport employees, they took one look at our ticket and said they didn't understand what Gate ABC meant. We saw a board and discovered it was Gate B65---a 45 minute run/walk away. We ran through the airport. We heard our flight being announced as final boarding so we ran even faster. When we got there, the attendant asked us if we were transfers and we confirmed. She then said that she was about to call our names. We were relieved we made it in time. Then we got on the bus to get to the train and waited 35 minutes!!! Why were we rushed through the airport only to wait on the bus?? Other people boarding after us did not look rushed at all. Also, the female crew member kept telling my mom to move her purse. My mom explained that it was attached to her outfit and that she wore it through takeoff but the attendant didn't listen because she just said again that my mom had to stow it. But it was part of her clothes! It couldn't detach! My mom explained again but the attendant said back "it is our policy to store purses." It was frustrating bc she either wasn't listening or didn't understand even when my mom showed her it was attached. She just stood there looking at my mom. It was attached to her jacket so my mom finally said whatever and had to take off her entire jacket (scarf was also attached) and put it in the overhead bins all because the woman seemed like she didn't understand English."
