The crew was excellent, the food good.

The entertainment system, in three out of four long flights, did not work. In the one that "worked", the sound was terrible and this made the experience totally unsatisfactory. A major airline should avoid this.

Royal no good since they keep my money i paid for my ticket because I didn't show up at the airport by accidentally that I been sent in different airplane! They cancelled my name on the board for go back home and they said I have to paid again since They' won't t refund my money I had to paid again to return back home! very poor customer service No Cap closed for me to read English and staff was rude!

Lost our luggage from Rome to Malta. Now, 13 hours after arrival in Malta, no one can tell us where our luggage is!!

Horrible experience with Alitalia. They boarded us on a plane that had a wheel issue, and kept us on the ground for 2 hours before they decided to de-plane us. We then had to wait in a 5+ HOUR LINE to get rerouted (nope, they won't handle these issues online or over the phone, you have to wait in line). And THEN they wanted us to wait in a 2 hour line to re-drop off our bags. We got stuck overnight in Rome and were put in a horrible Hilton Garden Inn and barely made it in time to use our coupon for a "free meal" (aka, frozen meatballs and stale bread in a buffet that had been sitting out all night). On our flight back, the food was absolutely terrible, the movie selections were old and scarce, and the seats were uncomfortable. We called to complain as soon as we got home and still have not heard back from Alitalia. I will never fly with them again.

Unrelated to your direct service, but as the largest user of the Istanbul Ataturk airport, the airline should address the lack of insfrastructure and personnel to deal efffectively and timely with x.ray inspection for the immense passenger traffic in transit. The LONG lines (crowds is a better word), makes the connection in Istanbul completely unacceptable.

KLM switched online check in to Alitalia literally right at checking time. It was extremely unnerving, and required much more time, as I did not have an Alitalia account.

KLM switched to Alitalia right at online check in time, which made things very confusing. Even the flight number changed. It would have helped if KLM would have let customers know this in advance.

Audacious prices for checked luggage. If you pay online prior to check-in €25 per bag If you pay at check in it is €45 per bag. This is downright theft by all the airlines who engage in this very profitable but nefarious activity and really needs to be stopped. First bag should be free/ nominal charge or at least part of the ticket price. (It is like a restaurant charging for cutlery and plates so you can eat . Would that be acceptable??)

We got stuck overnight in Rome and were put in a horrible Hilton Garden Inn and barely made it in time to use our coupon for a "free meal" (aka, frozen meatballs and stale bread in a buffet that had been sitting out all night). On our flight back, the food was absolutely terrible, the movie selections were old and scarce, and the seats were uncomfortable. We called to complain as soon as we got home and still have not heard back from Alitalia. I will never fly with them again.

KLM Flying Blue App ( which I didn't get to use because they switch to Alitalia at check in)

KLM switched to Alitalia right at online check in time, which made things very confusing. Even the flight number changed. It would have helped if KLM would have let customers know this in advance.

Decent flight. On time departing and arriving. Luggage arrived with us.

Audacious prices for checked luggage. If you pay online prior to check-in €25 per bag If you pay at check in it is €45 per bag. This is downright theft by all the airlines who engage in this very profitable but nefarious activity and really needs to be stopped. First bag should be free/ nominal charge or at least part of the ticket price. (It is like a restaurant charging for cutlery and plates so you can eat . Would that be acceptable??)
