When I pointed out that in the US, there is no problem with empty water bottles-- and the extra security is due to US standards-- they said 'this is Panama' and refused to return the water bottle. The rest of the crew was pleasant onboard the flight."

So the fast that BA overbooked cost me an extra 6 hours and $140 to buy a train & tube ticket to get back to Heathrow. The fact that there was not a single smile among the staff, and I had to argue to even get on the second flight, is inexcusable."

I would honestly recommend anyone fly Thomas Cook or TUI or even Norwegian before flying British Airways 777s as they are ancient wrecks with no value proposition. I would recommend going by boat before flying British Airways 772. The only time I would recommend flying any of the 772s from British Airways was if walking was your only other choice and even then a nice pair of trainers would probably be more comfortable."

When the entertainment did come on it was horrible. Old screens and ear phone ports didn't really work right. Plane was out dated and old I probably won't fly British air again."
Prós: "So glad you do not charge for a blanket like so many airline bed (Norwegian Air for example). Staff on BA tend to be professional and low key eg quiet on long haul evening flights. It allows passengers to sleep."

I've never been treated like this traveling, but always the attitude came from "oh, you booked this through a discount site" and then I was handled accordingly. I booked it through Kayak for ease as I planned a 7-city, 21 day trip around the Adriatic. Now we'll do our honeymoon without a wardrobe change, filing claims for the contents of our bags, as no one can tell us what happened, or where the bags are, and we're about to depart for our next city. Never, NEVER book a trip from a 3rd party. The seats next to the toilets that don't recline, attitude from airlines, now my first lost bag in 10 years (I fly 3 times a month, too)."

Leg room was ample, seat width was adequate (for someone of small stature) but separation from neighboring seats was non-existent. My neighbors on either side were both plus-sized. I had nowhere to place my arms and effectively had to sit with my arms folded from SJC to LHR. Room for improvement."

Not to mention, the security line was outrageously long and I got to my flight just before it left only to find out my seating arrangement and be presented with more disappointment. Took over an hour where I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes in this airport (I fly often). Didn’t have time to go to BR or grab a snack Then my second flight was (again another middle seat) way too warm. The attendants said “there’s nothing we can do”. I was so nauseous and uncomfortable the whole time."

Moqueca was flavored Boarding was very confused, we bought premium economy, on advertising we could check-in on business class, no specific line for business or economic, only separated line for first clas"

After debating with customer servinge several times and being forced to wait in line after being told things were fixed several time we had to threaten to record conversations and had someone call American Airlines headquarters and finally was able to get in the flight the same night. We at work be point were laughed at by an American Airlines customer service professional. I had purchased upgraded seats since I’m over 6 feet tall and they were not able to accommodate on the new flight, the flight was horrible and I had ton stand up every hour to make I the whole 12 hours."

There were only 2 people helping on check in (in machines) and these people were still not helping people (like me) with questions about on how to do check in in those machines. On the other hand to dispatch the bags there were almost 8 attendants to receive the bags. Ridiculous! I’ve tried calling American Airlines and Latam several times to assign a seat for me and they swore there were only middle seats but I know how airlines work to make extra money on these seats. At the end, they only gave me a middle seat option and I had to take I.t of course. On the plane I realized there were dozens of empty seats and yet they made sure not give them to me or anyone else. Unbelievable! Unfortunately I still have to use AA on my way back to Brazil. After this, I’ll chose another airlines for sure. Also, the 3,4,3 arrangement is ridiculous: there’s no corridor space making people touching you everything someone passes by your seat. And boy! Those seats are so uncomfortable and there’s no way to incline the chair so you can even have a little rest (because it’s impossible to even sleep on those seats). The crew were simply doing their jobs! No pleasure! No smile! No engaging with anyone unfortunately! They looked miserable and I asked for water and the flight attendant NEVER brought me anything. Seriously! Water is free!"

Contras: "I didn't like anything else about the flight. My seat was broken and the seats are incredibly cramped! Absolutely no leg room whatsoever. I am 6 feet tall which is an average male height so I can't imagine how anyone taller fits in those seats."
Contras: "Disappointed with the "Hot Box" (Bean Burrito type) cold & never heated up but still served...unedible. Real shame - food just wasted...unnecessary and just adds to costs of flights at end of day :-/ Customs & Gate in Clt delay could have been handled better. Continuously told us we were deplaning and then silence...several times...very frustrating after 9 hour flight. Better communication and organization in customs would be appreciated Otherwise, crew was very polite and overall good job"

Contras: "Film selection was subpar, and had no subtitles available. Flight safety information video so unbelievably boring. Flight crew repeated all instructions at least 3 times including video interruptions. What is the point of having in flight entertainment if crew will interrupt said entertainment at least once every 10 min to remind you you are still in turbulent air? Do they honestly think the passengers forgot? We are in the plane too! I understand they have to be careful due to liability but this airline is ridiculous. Believe it or not customers do not like being treated like children. Would not recommend to others or fly this airline again. Also, the lunch was awful even by airline standards. Btw the airline was avianca not AA. kayak must have messed up or they are owned by AA. AA is great and I recommend them wholeheartedly but Avianca is awful. Stay away if you can afford to do so."

Contras: "I did not fly I lost my flight they had a problem with the airplane on my flight from brasilia to sao paulo so I arrived late lost the connection to my other flight from Sao Paulo to LAX. Also they lost my luggage. LATAM and American Air Lines doesnt know where my luggage is. I arrived at my LAX 12 hours after. They still dont know where my luggage is"
Contras: "I had my reservation cancelled despiste numerous phone calls. The flight was operated by AA, and they told me I wasn't on the flight, but after many phone calls LATAN assured me I was booked on the flight. When I got to the airport, I was not allowed to board my direct flight from GRU to LAX, instead I was sent to Miami then Charlestown , I took me an extra 12 hours to get home. I lost a day of work. Who's going to reimburse me for that ???"
Prós: "That I arrived safely"
Contras: "I did not like the departure delay from 6:05 to about 9:50. Why did have to wait so long for a pilot to come, and then further wait for a flight attendant to arrive"

Contras: "The plane was freezing, then it was boiling hot. There was no happy medium. Never had this issue on a plane. The crew would not shut up. They talked endlessly on the speakers, which were blown out and had some sort of buzzing feedback which made listening unbearable. I hated every minute of this flight and was so glad to be off the plane."
Prós: "Flight left and arrived on time"
Contras: "Seat very uncomfortable. American doesn't let you standby for earlier flight- charges 75 dollars Gate agent wasn't helpful-pointed in general direction of kiosk to pay the 75 dollars Flight attendants passed up our entire row for drinks"
Contras: "The crew definitely needs to be changed. There needs to be hostesses who are more attentive and actually care about their passengers."
Contras: "How does American think it can get away with a mediocre business class fitting and charge the same as Lufthansa and United? In this flight, the did recline 170º but formed a ramp that did slowly slide the passenger under the set in front of him. I'd recommend someone from AA should fly Lufthansa Business Class or Singapore Airlines Business to check out how it should be done! ANd then, flying a beaten up 777-200er while its competitors fly 787 is nonhing but a shame!"
Prós: "I like the entertainment."
Contras: "Food and distribution of the food. Unfortunately on my flight the flight attendant was so busy that forgot to come back for the water/coffee drinks."
