Gave us a “discount” with a nearby hotel that was more expensive than what you could book it for online. Had to wait several hours for them to get us back the carry-on luggage that they insisted we check in the first place."

Contras: "The vents above my entire row of seats did not work, meaning there was never any air coming out even when they were fully open. This made for a long, hot, claustrophobic ride. The flight attendants seemed first disbelieving and later unconcerned that no air came out of our vents. I doubt they even reported them as broken after the flight. Delta's new boarding process is absolute chaos. More than half the plane had no seats assigned until 20 minutes before boarding, and the seats were displayed on a screen a good 25 feet away from the gate, meaning people had to constantly walk back and forth between the doorway and the screen. The gate agents were clearly overwhelmed. If this is how Delta is organized now, I won't be flying on them again."

After ruining across the entire length of the MSP concourse I arrived at 9:58 only to be told they already left. Worst communication I've ever seen. Delta should be ashamed."

Copa over booked the flight by 9 people. Was put on standby and luckily made it onto first leg of flight but they again took my seat away for the next leg of the trip. VERY upset. I had to do it via "influence", a pain in the neck."

Tried to get bottle of water because I was dying of thirst and staff could not sell a bottle of water. Only give a 3oz cup full. Which was gone in 2 seconds."

Contras: "I bought a duty-free bag at the Colombian airport specifically for storing liquids (namely two bottles of alcohol) and was told this was standard procedure. The bag was not to be opened until my final destination (Los Angeles). Long story short, when I arrive at the Panama airport they insist that they are going to have to throw the alcohol away despite the fact that I bought it in a duty-free zone at another airport and had not left said zone in this airport. It was also obvious the alcohol had not been tampered with as the bag I purchased was sealed tightly (some sort of glue). I had to take my son's personal carry-on (a backpack), take all of his things out of it, and check the bag as checked-in luggage. The Panaminian airport staff claimed I would still have issues in Los Angeles. They were completely wrong - no officer made any sort of comment about it since the alcohol was still in the sealed bag with a notice that said it would not be opened until the final destination. Incredibly unprofessional behavior."

He was consistent in asking patrons whether they’d like to purchase a travel kit for the troops. A few patrons were abrupt and responded rudely but he maintained a level head and pressed on. Great attitude and professionalism. Thank you very much for your support! Also, I was able to get my Military discount applied towards my purchase which enabled me to purchase 1 travel kits for my fellow service members. A little goes a long way and when returning from deployments or coming home for R&R, it tends to be hectic and I, myself have often forgotten toiletries which I was able to get from the USO. The USO staff were also friendly and did an amazing job handling all of the personnel that funneled in, exhausted. Great attitudes and clean facilities. I asked for water but never received it. Rouge seems to be a very sub par airline from its Air Canada parent, as I fly Air Canada frequently and am not new at this. This airline needs to work on customer service and it’s image."
Prós: "The on board crew were pleasant for the most part. It was a full flight so they were also working hard. Check-in was easy, and the gate area had plenty of space to wait to board. We did get some sort of unspecific voucher for something for the entertainment system not working... have to log onto their site to even find out what it's for."
Contras: "Entertainment system didn't work, so luckily we had loaded up devices with stuff for the kids. We were hopeful that my son could watch a couple of movies, but they tried to reset it... at least we got a voucher. One seat back was missing the USB outlet and one didn't work in our row of three. Regular power (of which there are two... why don't the window seat get one?) was half working... so luckily everything was charged. The gate agent threatened to boot anyone off the plane to the next day if you tried to board before your zone was called... that seemed questionable."

Contras: "Inexperienced crew. Had to circle the departure airport for 1.5 hours and then land again due to a mechanical issue. They didn't tell us what was going on exactly. Sat at the gate for another 40 minutes. Finally departed. Everyone on boar missed their connections. I personally missed a whole day of my European vacation due to this error. Stuff happens from time to time but it would have been nice for them to have handled it better."
Contras: "I never got on that flight because the flight from Montreal to Toronto was delayed so I would have missed the connection. The flight from Montreal was late. I showed up a the airport three times before I got on a plane. Air Canada asked me to check in online but the system didn't work. Because of the storm, Air Canada couldn't even place me on hold so I had to go to the airport earlier in the day. When I complained about not being able to check in online, they asked gaslighted me and kept repeating that their system was "a great product" and that there was no way it didn't work. One person finally told me that it was because I had a pet in cabin. I could have saved a lot of frustration if someone had told me that. I also think that for a flight that left late and caused me to change plans and leave on a different day with another delayed flight because of the luggage conveyor belt that didn't work - which paralyzed an entire airport - they could have offered us a complimentary meal on the plane."

Contras: "I may be mistaken here, but apparently since I am not a permanent US resident, I needed a transit visa to fly through Canada, although this was not advertised anywhere. As such, we were not allowed to check in our flight and had to cancel our tickets a few hrs prior to boarding and book tickets on antoher flight. We would up losing good money since we were traveling as a family with kids. The silver lining is we flew Emirates which we should have chosen from the very beginning."
Contras: "After my checking-in, I was told I was not allowed boarding without an eTA, which was never informed me before. And I could not get an eTA at that time. Terrible! I am seeking for a compensation from Air Canada. If only you could help."
Prós: "The staff was very congenial and helpful. Sense of humour too!"

Lastly, we purchased the tickets together, when we checked in, our seats were not together on both the flight to and from Italy, thankfully other people switched seats with us. When we asked the flight crew at the desk to switch seats, they couldn't both times. We definitely will not be flying Air Canada in the future."

Contras: "Did not realize that the person behind me had two cats sitting under my seat and the seat next to me. Felt horrible about a hour into the flight and didn't know why. I do not believe this should ever be allowed without notification, do to extreme allergic reactions that can occur. Luckily I just had a miserable flight that I will get over. If this had been my daughter, most likely she would have ended up in the hospital."

Made us missed out flight in Tokyo and had to stay at hotel. Air Canada did not honor our flight mileages because of their delay, they had to put us to UA. UA was bad too."
Prós: "Seat had decent leg room, but had to pay an additional $60+ dollars for it."
Contras: "Paying for food on a flight that's over 5 hours is very poor form. Food was of very poor quality. Beverage service came around once early on and then not again until almost landing. Asked for another beverage about half way through the flight and it never came. Plane was dirty."

Contras: "Food offerings were really mediocre and poor quality. For the staff and crew, I did not get the feeling that they had a service oriented mentality in their communications and attitude. It felt more like I was being processed- just one of any number of faceless people that needed to be dealt with as quickly as possible."
Contras: "The flight attendants on this flight did NOT do their job. If they are there to ensure a safe environment for the people on board, they completely missed the boat. I was in row 45. Two families were on board with their 4 very young children. For the entire 8 hour flight, 3 of these children disrupted the entire section of the plane. They continuously played in the aisles, stood in the seats, kept their seat belts unbuckled, threw objects, and one blasted his iPad at maximum volume. When I asked one flight attendant to ask the family to get the child to lower the volume on his iPad (it was 4am; people were either using their ear buds, or had their screens turned off), they complied with the request for 30 minutes, then resumed at full throttle. I can honestly say, it was one of the worst flights I have ever experienced in 57 years."

Contras: "The company forced me to put my luggage out of the plane, which I found strange. On my first flight in this roundtrip they let me have my carry-on without any problems. If they are going to have policies, they should be standards and they should stick to one thing instead of doing different things in different flights."
Prós: "I try to fly with Lufthansa every time I travel to Turkey. They never fail to be great! Their service is very good. Their airplanes always seem to be new or kept up very well."

Contras: "My first flight was delayed 2 hours, so I was unable to make my connecting flight. I am ending up landing in Portland about 5 hours after my original landing time. I will be missing part of a conference that I paid for. Major disappointment. The lady that helped me at first literally had me making an unnecessary stop, and arriving another 2 hours later, and I STILL would have missed my second flight due to the delay of the first fligh. Thankfully Michelle was very helpful, and switched me over to American Airlines"

Finally after 40 minutes sitting on the ramp he came on and apolized for telling us the wrong information but actually what happened was someone loaded all the luggage in the aft baggage compdartment incorrectly and they had to reload the the bags and move then to the forward compartment This certainty didn't give you a safe feeling knowing there ground crew didn't know ho to load there plane correctly! Another reason not to fly United Airlines! Everett Johnson, Bellevue Wash."

Contras: "United Economy Plus bulkhead was awful. I was seated in seat 7D - there was no bulkhead for me or middle seat - just a curtain. The screens and tiny pockets were only accessible over another passenger. The seat stuck out into the aisle so I was bumped by 200 other passengers at least once - not to mention the flight crew. Finally I had my emotional support dog with me and the crew told me I should. It be in that seat - the seat was assigned by the United Accessibikity Desk as a good one for a service animal - and I had zero choice in the matter. Baggage claim at SFO took over 45 minutes to start -I was home in San Francisco in only 20 minutes after getting my bag."
Contras: "Mechanical problems made flight late. Got to connecting gate 1 min before scheduled departure. Doors closed. Agent said they close doors 10 minutes before flight leaves, so I had no chance. United not overly helpful with alternate flights and arrangements. To make business mtgs, I asked to fly to alternate airport and drive in. United no help with rental car. Had to be very persistent to get a hotel room covered."
