Example, on one flight I had a fish dish which was overcooked very dry and there was no sauce of any kind to make it palatable. I do not like to throw food away but half way into the meal I had enough. Other than that Qatar Airlines was really first class. The flight attendants were the best we have ever experienced. Their dress was immaculate, they were very friendly and attentive and were there to make the flight as comfortable as possible plus cater to all requests."

Prós: "It is so far a cut above the American carriers. There’s no way to compare them, because Qatar Airways is so far superior. The seats are far more comfortable and larger, the amount of legroom is far superior, you have much more personal space, and the craft is cleaner. Flight Attendants are fantastic! They provide excellent personal care, and are there for everything. They are supremely polite and courteous, and bring things in mediately. Very often anticipating your needs. This is what flying used to be like on United and American. But those people have completely forgotten what service is. Qatar is a 5 star airline. United and American, to my view, are 2 star at best."
Prós: "Ground crew was especially helpful to my mother who could not speak English or Arabic, and had never flown before. She also had difficulty walking, so everyone assisted her in the airport and during her long connection in Doha."

Contras: "When flying from New Zealand to Doha, we departed Auckland at 15h25 and due to the time zone, most passengers body clocks would have been expecting sleep within a few hours. However we were flying West and thus into daylight. Sadly the window seated passengers were not asked to close their window blinds to block out the sunlight and many were left open. This made the cabin very bright and a difficult environment in which to sleep. Too much advertising before the on board videos, but otherwise content was good."

All of it could be easily conveyed discreetly but he seemed to be least bothered!"

Contras: "I used Qatar airways 3 times so far. In the last flight, were a connection has 8 hours between 2 flights, they deny me to stay in a hotel. The last 2 flights which have exactly the same schedule, I used the hotel in that 8 hours between the 2 flights. I asked why, they told me that my ticket is not eligible to the hotel, although, I bought the last two times from Kayak, with almost same price. My first flight with Qatar Airways was on July 2017. My second flight with Qatar Airways was on August 2017. My third flight with Qatar Airways was on Jan 208."
Contras: "No proper communication and very poor management. I was on an emergency and no one bothered to listen and all the passengers were sent . The customer care numbers didn't work as they operate between 8-5 !! No one to reach to .. really bad experience. Don't suggest this aircraft for folks who needs to travel urgently !"

Unfortunately the luggages didn't reach to Cairo airport with me . 3 days later they told me that the luggages in Jordan and I have to travel from Alexandria city to Cairo to receive my luggages . When I went their , I found my luggages were opened and missing much items . I made reports on the airport. The employees in the airport they wondered why the opened the selling box , and the box looks empty. The weight for this box was 32 kilograms in the time of shipping. And I paid $400 for extra weight . But when I received it was like 20 kilograms. Plus I paid $350 for Qater airline for shipping 3 luggage . That's means I paid $750 for shipping 3 luggages and I received it looks empty . I need refund for all shipping and $5000 for damages items , or I will complain this airlines through the American court . Thank you"

Prós: "Qatar is quite possibly the best airline in the world, especially on its long haul flights. It is heads above the other two major Persian Gulf airlines. All the employees with whom I dealt were excellent and customer-oriented. The planes between Doha and London were new, had more space than older planes and had an excellent selection of movies and TV shows. I ordered special meals on all the flights, and I was very satisfied. I have been a fan of Qatar Airways since I flew it to Australia in 2011. It continues to do a superb job, even in Economy."

Instead I was offered what appeared to be a lurid pink yogurt, coupled with fluorescent orange 'juice', together with the Indian vegetarian option. The accompanying 'muffin' appeared to consist of the following ingredients: flour, oil. Suffers from the "African flight's don't matter" syndrome when it comes to level of staff and entertainment. I was expecting better from Qatar - back to Emirates I go!"

Contras: "Was on flight QR 743 Doha to Boston. The pilot landed as if it was an afterthought In good weather, it sounded as if the pilot used the computer to land. The crew worked with great pains within a difficult situation. The flight was delayed by an hour, full flight had dirty lavatories without water from the get go! One of the middle lavatories could not lock! This plane should have been better serviced by ground crew before it departed Doha! Infotainment system is confusing, keep it simple and add more up to date movies. Even then, I will still fly QR over all else."

When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work."

Prós: "We flew from Anchorage to Boston via Seattle. If there had not been a delay in Anchorage, the flight would have been excellent. However, there was a mechanical problem earlier in the day with a plane to Cincinnati. Our flight was scheduled to leave Anchorage at 4pm, but Delta decided to take our pane from us and use it as a substitute for the original but nonfunctional Cincinatti plane. A ridiculous decision. The Cincinnati people already had missed all their connections, but now all the Seattle people missed theirs as well. When we finally got to Seattle 3 hours late (just before midnight), the desk agent said that Delta had no hotel rooms for us and also no hotel vouchers. We thus had to find a room and pay for it on our own. The next day, we had been rescheduled to Detroit and then on another flight from there to Boston. The flight to Detroit arrived nearly 30 minutes late, and we just barely made our connection. Had we missed it, we would have had to spend that night in Detroit. Delta did its best to keep the two of us together. On the Seattle-Detroit flight we were on opposite sides of the aisle in the same row, but that was in a row right behind a bulkhead, making it easy for us to walk over to each other. On the Detroit-Boston flight we were next to each other. Both flights were completely full, so Delta must have made some effort to keep us together as well as possible."
Contras: "Delta should not have made the dumb decision to take the Seattle-bound plane and use it as a substitute for the malfunctioning Cincinnati plane. Delta should have provided accommodations for the stranded travelers once they arrived in Seattle."

Called HoJo’s to confirm they had non-smoking rooms available. Got on the hotel’s shuttle bus and the driver announced that HoJo was full and all voucher holders would go to Rodeway Inn but those without vouchers would go to HoJo....huh!?? Called HoJo and the same person I’d spoken to 20 mins prior said it was correct, that Rodeway was a sister property. The Rodeway Inn Metro Airport is pretty disgusting. This is my opinion after coming from remote Mexico and extensive travel in Africa. It should be torn down. Delta/HoJo should not send customers there."

Prós: "We travelled Economy comfort which has extra leg room & recline, which is great for a long flight such as this. Food was ok, crew were great & there was a lot of good entertainment to watch? A nice smooth ride down to Sydney."

Contras: "LEX to ATL to GRU did NOT happen because the LEX flights were delayed to the point of missing the ATL connection. While Delta re-booked me on United, my flight arrived 3 hours later than scheduled (so transportation plans had to change), my bag did not successfully move from the Delta flight to the United flight (and was thus delayed in getting to GRU) AND once the bag was received, 4 shirts had been stolen. While a delay/theft claim has been filed with United, this could all have been avoided if the Delta flights had been on time."

As a result, we had to exit the secured area in Rio to go check in manually again for our connection and then go through security and customs again."

Contras: "We fly during lunch time and were only serviced a snack. Something more substantial would have been in order."
Prós: "Was cold so requested a blanket, was told we will see ..Blankets were given to passengers in the front seat but I was ignored. I usually carry a warm scarf so do not need airline blankets."

Contras: "Overbooked flight we had to wait with baby and 4 years old kid till last minute to know if we could get on board or not. Latam wanted us to fly in three different seats we told them that we were happy to flight next day but they pushed till last minute waiting. Contras: "The flight at first had a 3 HOUR delay do to a "mechanical breakdown". We were told that they were going to bring another airplane from Rio de Janeiro. After the 3 hours passed they were only announcing in Portuguese to board the original plane. They never changed planes or provided a clear explanation to the passengers. Many of us refused to board. This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had. The staff was disrespectful and would not help us. We ended up taking another flight until the following night!!"

Contras: "The seats were the smallest seats I've ever say in and I felt claustrophobic. Checking into this flight was a disaster and impossible. Tam would redirect me to Tam airlines and Lan would redirect me to Lan. The Lan customer service was unable to get into the Tam airlines flight so we emded up with the most awful chairs in the airline. I wish they would fix their website so checkin isn't as frustrating as it was for me. I understand the airlines merged but if each airline is unable to access eachothers flight then how exactly did you merge? ALSO when we got off the first flighy to connect in this one they gave us no explanation until 20min later to where we should commect to this flight. They MADE US WALK A 20min WALK TO ANOTHER TERMINAL WITH ALL OUR BAGS. It was awful. If your gonna need people to walk to another terminal the least you can do is supply a shuttle."

Contras: "The security check at the gate requires one to leave the comfort of the lounge early incase of queues and then wait in an over crowded lounge with the other passengers (so the fact you are business/first or have one world status does little to ease the burden of boarding. The lounge also did not offer red eye passengers a meal and the on board meal service is slow (so if you are hungry it eats into precious sleeping time). The breakfast wakeup was also disappointing. My meal of choice was not available and the whole process was rushed like a fast food restaurant. Overall I am disappointed by the club world offering on this route and would not pay for it again unless intended to get on and just sleep for the entire journey."

She spoke English with such a thick Spanish accent and intonations that no-one understood what she was saying on the speaker. She also sounded as if she was arguing, as opposed to inviting us on board in a welcoming and orderly fashion. Although at times funny, it ultimately translated into a lot of noise on her part, and a headache on my part."

Contras: "Leg room/space BA offers is calculated for short and small body frame passengers and it is on not acceptable. It feels like cattle Wagon. BA should show consideration for real passengers not some sort of statistical average. I am 6'4" and sitting in your plane's cabin inflicts hours of body pain. The space given is sufficient for children and teenagers. Also sitting in the hot cabin for extended amount of time is extremely uncomfortable. Why there is no cooling and proper air ventilation right from the beginning?"
Prós: "The welcome drinks and hot towels (premium economy) are good. As is the drinks trolley before meals. The seats are just OK"
Contras: "Major gripe is seat allocation we had several issues but the worst was being issued with a boarding pass and seats from London to Sydney only to have them changed to inferior seats at Singapore with the ultimatum "sit in the new seats or get off the plane". Excellent for customer relations, we won't be traveling BA again"
Prós: "Having a little bit more room, footrest and legrest do really make a difference on the long haul flight. The little touches like being greeted with a glass of wine or water, having proper silverware with the main meal really mitigate the general misery of long haul flying. The main meal is really quite delicious as well. You also get provided with socks, toothbrush, mask and nice headphones."
Contras: "Honestly, the seats are really quite hard and could use a little more padding! They give you a little cushion which I ended up sitting on to relieve pressure on my tailbone. The coffee that came with the box lunch was fine but if you wanted cream you were out of luck. Instead a tiny amount of milk was provided. At least you got some caffeine!"

Therefore, we did not have any functioning entertainment for the remaining 6.5 hours of the flight."

After I got on the plane I asked one crew member if I have any chance to switch the seat to sit by the bathroom because I am very sick, but seems no one cares. They said there is nothing they can do and tell me to get back to my seat. The whole fight I was sick. It was a horrible no crews member were asked me how I felt. No crews member checked me if I were ok. I had fever and so sick. There were late. I never have any bad fight like this forever."
Contras: "Leaving MKE was organized and orderly. No problems noted. Once in PHL, flight was delayed due to no crew. After an hour or so, boarded the plane. Was on the plane for 45 minutes with no explaination from the crew. It was an electrical problem. Had to inboard and wait 45 more minutes. Allow weld to rehoard again. Waited another 20 ministrations before leaving. I am all for safety, but communications need to improve."
Contras: "Crew do not know what kind of menu they have. We had white fish moqueca, rice was uncooked. Moqueca was flavored Boarding was very confused, we bought premium economy, on advertising we could check-in on business class, no specific line for business or economic, only separated line for first clas"
Contras: "Left Newark 2 hours late which mean missing connections in Chicago by 20 minutes. From that point on American was inept in getting me to MSP."
Prós: "AA is always on time! Love the premium economy!"
Prós: "AA was great, the only issues we had was 100s of screaming babies and rude people that cut the line....Not much AA can do about that."
Contras: "Today’s flight was extremely cold. Almost everyone in the plan was under the covers at some point."
Prós: "Boarding was more efficient than I expected. And the leg room was very good, but the seats were narrow. Narrow seats made it a bit uncomfortable for a long 13 hour flight. Crew was efficient and very friendly."

Contras: "Due to technical error my flight delayed and I missed my flight to Hyd from London. I was traveling on personal medical emergency and missed an important surgery of my mother."
Prós: "When our flight was delayed in Denver the agent at the check in gate worked very hard to get our flight plans changed with as little impact as possible."
Contras: "We understand that delays happen but due to a delay on American Airlines we have lost our luggage and it doesn't seem likely it will be returned. We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall."

We were informed thatcher would have to wait 24hours (after an already 7 hour layover) to catch another flight to Los Angeles. After debating with customer servinge several times and being forced to wait in line after being told things were fixed several time we had to threaten to record conversations and had someone call American Airlines headquarters and finally was able to get in the flight the same night. We at work be point were laughed at by an American Airlines customer service professional. I had purchased upgraded seats since I’m over 6 feet tall and they were not able to accommodate on the new flight, the flight was horrible and I had ton stand up every hour to make I the whole 12 hours."
Prós: "The only decent point was the food. Not great but at least edible."
Contras: "Since check in in São Paulo was a complete chaos. There were only 2 people helping on check in (in machines) and these people were still not helping people (like me) with questions about on how to do check in in those machines. On the other hand to dispatch the bags there were almost 8 attendants to receive the bags. Ridiculous! I’ve tried calling American Airlines and Latam several times to assign a seat for me and they swore there were only middle seats but I know how airlines work to make extra money on these seats. At the end, they only gave me a middle seat option and I had to take I.t of course. On the plane I realized there were dozens of empty seats and yet they made sure not give them to me or anyone else. Unbelievable! Unfortunately I still have to use AA on my way back to Brazil. After this, I’ll chose another airlines for sure. Also, the 3,4,3 arrangement is ridiculous: there’s no corridor space making people touching you everything someone passes by your seat. And boy! Those seats are so uncomfortable and there’s no way to incline the chair so you can even have a little rest (because it’s impossible to even sleep on those seats). The crew were simply doing their jobs! No pleasure! No smile! No engaging with anyone unfortunately! They looked miserable and I asked for water and the flight attendant NEVER brought me anything. Seriously! Water is free!"

Contras: "I had a connecting flight in DFW to BOS. My plane left late from OKC, giving very little time to get to my connecting flight in DFW. The flight arrived in BOS and I got to the gate at 6:15pm; with a flight departure of 6:25pm. I felt the gate agent handled the situation very poorly. Instead of letting me, and another passenger with the same situation as mine, let us know why the gate was closed 10 minutes prior to departure was rude and brusque and said sorry, nothing could be done. A simple explanation of why we couldn't board would have gone a long way. She finally barked out for us to go to Customer Service to re-route us. Customer Service was very slow and the agents had attitudes. I did get on an AA flight the next morning, including comp vouchers for dinner and breakfast, but I missed an entire day of the conference I was attending in Boston."
Contras: "24hrs delay and very poor communication from crew are not acceptable."
Prós: "During the time we were wkaiting for final decision on the flight delay I did not like any activity from crew and AA's emplyees."
Contras: "I understand some delays can occur due to tecnical problems and most of the times they are out of control but negative issues related to communications they are controllable and they must be reviewed and implemente properly."
Contras: "Take off was delayed for nearly an hour and the flight re-routed because of weather. We had scheduled plenty of time to make our connecting flight but we weren't updated on how much later we would be. This caused a lot of worry and stress not knowing when we would land or where our connecting gate would be. Fortunately the gates were next to one another and it all worked out. There were supposed to be usb charging connectors under the seat but I felt around for nearly 30 minutes and couldn't find them. Nobody could."
Prós: "Lots of movie options."
Contras: "I didn't like anything else about the flight. My seat was broken and the seats are incredibly cramped! Absolutely no leg room whatsoever. I am 6 feet tall which is an average male height so I can't imagine how anyone taller fits in those seats."
Contras: "We arrived 30 minutes early but then we waited 30 minutes for a gate."
Prós: "Customer service good. Offered food/service quickly."
Contras: "Film selection was subpar, and had no subtitles available. Flight safety information video so unbelievably boring. Flight crew repeated all instructions at least 3 times including video interruptions. What is the point of having in flight entertainment if crew will interrupt said entertainment at least once every 10 min to remind you you are still in turbulent air? Do they honestly think the passengers forgot? We are in the plane too! I understand they have to be careful due to liability but this airline is ridiculous. Believe it or not customers do not like being treated like children. Would not recommend to others or fly this airline again. Also, the lunch was awful even by airline standards. Btw the airline was avianca not AA. kayak must have messed up or they are owned by AA. AA is great and I recommend them wholeheartedly but Avianca is awful. Stay away if you can afford to do so."
Prós: "Staff were friendly and seats were comfortable."
Contras: "My TV wasn't working and it was the same for a couple of others. They managed to get the others moved stright away but they kept telling me they would reboot it and sometimes it was slow starting up. They rebooted twice and after 2hours 30mins into the 8 hour flight they accepted that it wasn't going to work and they finally asked another passenger would they swap with us. They said that all TV were checked on the ground between flights but this was obviously not the case."
Prós: "Slept very well in business. Great crew!"

Contras: "It airfare.......I've never in my life had to deal with such an unprofessional company in my entire life! I'm honestly shocked that you use them considering your a creditable company. I was screamed and cursed at hung up on and also cancelled off my flight the morning of and then had to pay an additional $100 to get back onto the flight! When I checked online they have nothing but bad reviews. Unfortunately I will not be booking through kayak again in fear of having to deal with airfare."
Prós: "The "very" new 777-200 was very comfortable, well-laid out. I usually skip or leave half of the in-flight food served, but this rates as one of the best meals, I've had in an airplane outside of business class. The in-flight entertainment/information service was decent, but perhaps because the plane was still in new condition."
Contras: "On this entire business trip, I booked with other companies, but ended up 5 flights operated by American Airlines. One cancellation, 4 delayed, 3 late arrivals. The last one was the most annoying. I will be avoiding AA in the future. The domestic crews are generally brusque and miserable. The international flight crews were more accommodating and pleasant, but most of them also seemed annoyed at passenger presence. Also, having to pay for a preferred seat on a half-empty airplane is simply unfair. By 24hrs before the flight, AA must have known there were plenty of empty seats."
Contras: "I did not fly I lost my flight they had a problem with the airplane on my flight from brasilia to sao paulo so I arrived late lost the connection to my other flight from Sao Paulo to LAX. Also they lost my luggage. LATAM and American Air Lines doesnt know where my luggage is. I arrived at my LAX 12 hours after. They still dont know where my luggage is"
Contras: "I had my reservation cancelled despiste numerous phone calls. The flight was operated by AA, and they told me I wasn't on the flight, but after many phone calls LATAN assured me I was booked on the flight. When I got to the airport, I was not allowed to board my direct flight from GRU to LAX, instead I was sent to Miami then Charlestown , I took me an extra 12 hours to get home. I lost a day of work. Who's going to reimburse me for that ???"
Prós: "Staff was pretty good, and while the food wasn't incredible, it wasn't bad."
Contras: "I hold the personal opinion that the headrests on transatlantic seats should be the sort that prevent one's head from falling to the side. It seemed like this was a domestic plane assigned to an international route."

Contras: "The crew definitely needs to be changed. There needs to be hostesses who are more attentive and actually care about their passengers."
Contras: "How does American think it can get away with a mediocre business class fitting and charge the same as Lufthansa and United? In this flight, the did recline 170º but formed a ramp that did slowly slide the passenger under the set in front of him. I'd recommend someone from AA should fly Lufthansa Business Class or Singapore Airlines Business to check out how it should be done! ANd then, flying a beaten up 777-200er while its competitors fly 787 is nonhing but a shame!"
Prós: "I like the entertainment."
Contras: "Food and distribution of the food. Unfortunately on my flight the flight attendant was so busy that forgot to come back for the water/coffee drinks."
Prós: "When we tried to check in there was not reservation because flight was with American not satam - luckily we figured it out"
Contras: "Make it clear that ticketing airline might not be the actual airline!!"
Contras: "Took a long time to get off the plane after landing and luggage claim took took a really long time."
