This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."

Sitting at the gate there was then suddenly a last call to board the flight and a mad rush for everyone to get on. This unfortunately occurs on all companies."

Prós: "Absolutely no customer service. Lost my full payment because Latam has no flexibility. They don't need to employ people in a "custom service department " because they don't offer any. Their options for rescheduling is zero. Their reply to all modifications is "no". Not even if you're standing at the boarding gate and they have empty seats. Use any other options for flight. Try Sky Airlines instead."
Contras: "We waited over an hour at the baggage claim carousel to collect our luggage. We received no communication or announcement about what was going on. Unnecessarily appalling customer service."
Prós: "Flying on a Boing 787 is wonderful. The overall service from Latam is top quality; the crew was welcoming and very attentive. Food could be improved, specially offering vegetarian alternative for all of the food services. The movie selection could be improved (in variety and vintage). Music selection was very good for my taste."
Contras: "I was unable to choose my seats on line in advance, which created a stressful situation when at check-in we found that my wife and I were not seated together. Fortunately for the first leg of the trip (Santiago-Lima) there was an empty seat by her and I took it; and for the second leg (Lima-Los Angeles) the passenger next to her was upgraded on the last minute and left his seat for me. Latam has great service, but must let customers choose their seats or guarantee assigning adjacent seats to passengers traveling together, The process for servicing of the plane during the stop-over in Lima could be improved. I know it is hard to do minor cleaning, tidy-up, and replacement of pillows & blankets while many passengers remain on board, but at least there should be an announcement describing what the passengers are to expect during the stop-over."

Contras: "We were never informed of our gate (not on boarding pass, not on display board at airport). After searching the entire terminal, the gate didn't have the flight listed either, but we eventually identified a floor sign with the airline logo and found our flight. In flight entertainment screens were not very responsive to touch, and would have been better with a list of movies/tv/games, instead of 1 show per tap since the screen was iffy on responsiveness."

We got charged more than what I understood from the official website but it was still decent price so didn´t say anything. We got twice the same snack on the flight of 3h30. Good thing the chocolate was good. I thought it could have been different and a bit bigger."
Contras: "We flown in few electric storms, suffered from a lot of bumps, and landed in a pretty cowboy way in clear sky. Didn´t appreciate the flying at all. Felt like the pilot was either not enough eperienced either not caring about passenger´s comfort. We had to collect our luggage and bicycle boxes at transit in Buenos Aires airport. One bicycle box got bumped and a piece of bicycle was exposed. Later on after the flight, we got problems on that piece (a front wheel) because of that bump and needed to repair it. We saw how the the crew was handling our boxes : didn´t care at all and placed it in all possible positions while it should stay in the same position. We arrived at AEP at 10:14PM and had a connection flight at 4:40AM the next day. Had to collect our luggage (and huge bicycle boxes) and wait until 2AM to check-in. It was a pain to carry everything and to live all over again the check in, and to not being able to do everything allready at arrival, espacially at that time of the night."

Contras: "Initially the flight from Lima was delayed for almost 1:30 and then we lost this connection then Airfrance rebooking to SAS they tell us to take all our luggage’s and check in again it’s was awful and really bad from then walk and spend time we suppose to be quite at home ... the worst was in SAS have ano system and for 1.5 kilos extras you might pay 33€ so after long day and wait, running everywhere with all my staff I see to eat a 11€ menu at the airport with not more explanation from Airfrance .. really bad and worst services.."

Contras: "I travel with an international carry-on designed to fit in comoartments above seats in any and all planes (Tumi alpha 2 International), and yet TAP would claim it was too large to fit and forced me to check it. My problem is not only the wait once we land, but most improtsntly that the bags are beat up in the journey. Indeed, my carry-on arrived with several scratches on the plastic edges as well as some signs of worn on the textile. Because of this carry-on baggage size restrictions, I will not fly TAP airlines again (unless I can travel with my hand purse only)."

Prós: "I travel for pleasure a lot and this was my first time flying TAP Portugal. I flew from LIS to MAD and the crew were overall more friendly and smiling than on US domestic flights. The plane was clean and bright. I did not notice if the seats recline. I will be using them for short flights throughout Europe when I return for visit."
Contras: "Flight was so short they rushed us eating the cookie and only water was served that I could tell. Also, TAP has their own boarding check-in wing of Lisbon airport. It was not clearly marked and Eropean arrows pointing up could mean to continue forward, as well as go to upper floors."

It was imposible to accept, so I've cancelled and bouhgt another ticket from other airline and ask for refund. Three months later I still waiting for the money. Not recommend at all TAP."
Prós: "It was a very short flight, so non-reclining seats were not a problem. They also seemed a nice distance from the seat in front, so there was no problem of having the person in front basically in your lap."

Contras: "I booked this flight months and months ago on Kayak, excited by what I thought was an excellent deal to go visit an old friend. When I got to the Boston airport, I was told there is a fee to check a bag with the ticket type I purchased- of 90 DOLLARS each way!!! This is absurdly expensive. I tried to pay with cash as I had very little on my card, and was told this isn't possible. So I had to pay the fee, and arrive at my 7 hour layover with next to no cash on my card- too little to buy a meal in the airport. So I had a miserable layover experience. I do not recall seeing this baggage fee listed anywhere on Kayak when I booked my flight- it looks like this policy took effect in September 2017, but I booked my flight in July. I am very upset about this additional charge- it is dishonest and I will not be flying with TAP again. I am also considering using alternatives to Kayak, as the TAP representative said that it's Kayak's fault the baggage fee wasn't listed."

Prós: "Though it was a short flight, they did offer food and left mine on my table since I was sleeping. I woke up super thirsty and hungry so that was a nice surprise."

Contras: "My wife and I arrived to the airport for our honeymoon extremely excited. We had been saving for our trip to Italy for months, and we were finally going to get things started. Everything fell apart when we went to check in and we were told that my wife couldn’t use her ticket because she had changed her last name. We were told that there was no way that the name on the ticket could be changed because of TSA regulations. Of course, we were also told that we could have changed the name had we purchased a more expensive ticket. In other words, we were lied to and told the issue was regulation, when really they wouldn’t help us because we couldn’t afford a more expensive ticket. The only help we were given was the pleasure of paying over $1,500 more to get my wife on the flight. I am in the process of trying to get this refunded, but as of now we have paid twice for my wife to fly, and neither ticket has been refunded. We may have accidentally broken a rule, but the only function that rule seems to have is to make us pay twice for the same seat. As of now, I would never fly this airline again, and I would warn everyone away from it. I will update this post if TAP does the right thing by two honeymooners."
Contras: "1) I tried several times while traveling but was unable to figure out how to choose a vegetarian option for the flight. When I called customer service, after a long hold time, the woman I finally spoke to told me it was too late to order vegetarian and refused to help me. I have never flown another airline (Air India, Turkish Air, United, American, China Southern, etc., etc.) that did not make this easy to choose during booking or check-in and that did not already have a standard ovo-lacto vegetarian option on the regular menu. Vegetarians practice for all sorts of reasons, including religion and health needs. It's unacceptable to make it so difficult to meet your meal needs while trapped on a plane for nine hours. 2) The check-in agent did not know the rule about all remaining seats being opened for passenger choice three hours before booking and insisted we had to pay to get aisle seats despite one of us having a health problem necessitating her standing up and walking every 45 minutes. Then another agent told us we couldn't choose seats for free for our Porto to Newark flight when we check in for our Madrid-Porto flight because it wasn't technically three hours before the Porto-Newark departure. But how were we supposed to choose seats for the Porto-Newark flight three hours in advance if we are in an airplane flying to Porto at that time? This makes no sense. Seats should be opened for every leg of a same-day journey at the same time. The agents were unhelpful and unsympathetic. 3) This was an old plane without options to choose a film or show to watch. Instead, passengers could flip through a few channels and hope to find something of interest that was already playing -- there was no way to begin a film or show from the beginning if you landed on it in the middle of its running time. I cannot recommend TAP Portugal to any of my friends, family, or colleagues after this experience."

Thank goodness the ticket agent helped me out (by putting me in a seat where I'd be first to board), but if he hadn't, it would have been a terrible experience."

I tried calling someone but I was looked at and ignored because I wanted to ask top change seats. I didnt want to cause a scene and affect the airlines reputation with people freaking out or feeling uncomfortable so I just moved to another aisle. Service very mediocre and plane was old."
Prós: "I know the flight between Lisbon and Amsterdam is only 3 hours, but it could have been better. First, boarding was a mess because no one could hear announcements being made. Once on the plane, things only got worse. I'm a small person- only 5'4" and even I had no leg room! This was made worse when the seat in front reclined- very claustrophobic. There were also zero entertainment options."

Contras: "The entertainment platform was on the fritz the entire flight. Almost all the headphone jacks didn't work or were shorting out. This plane had the two prong headphone connectors so you are forced to use their terrible plastic ones. The legroom for an international flight was terrible, almost the same as Spirit Airlines in their economy class. The food was very bad (dried beef with noodle) and cold by the time I was served."
Contras: "We flew from MAS to MAD via LIS. The first flight was delayed sfor 3 hours o we had to stay overnight. It took the stuff over 1 hour to finally get us out of the arrival gate and the hotel was 30 mins away from the airport. Plus, we can't get our bags or anything, meaning we had to wear the same clothes for over 36 hrs in the humid and hot weather. TAP stuff gave us the first flight boarding pass and told us to be in the hotel lobby at 5:30, and they will pick us up and get us to the airport to catch our flight. Next morning, we Got picked up, and when we get to the check in counter, they told us the flight is already closed and we have been rebooked for the flight 3 hours later. We followed all the directions, got up at 4, and ended up waiting in the airport for another 4 hours (4.5 yesterday) miserably. If you are gonna to rebook us for a later flight, at least let us take some rest... On what earth an airplane company can operate like this irresponsibly? If you reapect your time, seriously, NEVER FLY TAP."
