On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Contras: "Was not informed that checking in online is the only way to secure a seat. So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Fortunately the woman who checked me in realized there was 1 seat available on the last flight that would get me to Lima in time for my connection flight (departing same time as my flight pre-delay). She personally got me to the front of the line, and ran with me just about to the gate, where I caught a shuttle to the plane. If she hadn't done so, and if I hadn't checked in so early, I would have been forced to stay in Lima 24hrs, despite buying a rightful seat and having reservations in Buenos Aires. It is appalling and unacceptable that y'all continue to overbook flights, causing incredible trouble, inconvenience and potential harm to your customers. For a service that costs so much, the only acceptable delays are weather and mechanically related. if it hadn't been for amazing staff immediately, I would've been furiously waiting in a city I didn't need or want to be in. Customer service will continue to grow your business or impede it negatively-- how y'all act is up to you. I appreciate how well I was taken care of by several kind individuals."

I kept my bag for 20 hours, flying from Vancouver to Calgary to London and before my flight to Madrid. They didn’t care that I said I didn’t want to give it up or that I had to make a connection. Madrid’s airport is notorious for have slow baggage handling, so they are making me wait. I packed for 2 weeks in a carry on and back pack to avoid checking luggage. I am disappointed."

Contras: "Webjet.com and me are waiting to get my flight changed by British Airways. I tried to change my flight because of paperwork issues. I was not given any paper to report the issue. I took pictures of myself at the British Airways counter. I called customer service. They told me my contract was with webjet.com. Webjet.com told me British Airways initially reported that it was a no show. (I was at the counter for about 2 hours, and they knew I had a contract with webjet.com). I hope that my contract with webjet.com does not become frustrated because of British Airways interference. I was not even allowed to change my flight to come back at the end of September. It is very likely that British Airways has some part of the money paid to webjet.com. I am still waiting for British Airways to cooperate. I don't understand why webjet.com had to tell me British Airways initially reported my long wait and conversations with their agents for 2 hours as a no show. I can prove I was there and that I talked to their agents. I also have the email from webjet.com in which they told me British Airways was reporting it to the webjet.com as a no show (and they knew I had a contract with webjet.com)"
Contras: "I was not allowed to check in online, so I had to go to the airport early to check in. Despite purchasing my flight months prior, and arriving at the airport with plenty of time to to check in, I was told that I was going to be bumped from my flight because it was overbooked, which would mean that I would miss my international connection. After waiting for everyone else to board on a tiny flight, there suddenly was a seat available and they let me board, but they managed to not put my bag on the flight, which means I have no luggage. Lastly, despite checking in more than 7 hours ahead of time for the international flight, I was given a middle seat and was told that I would have to pay $40 if I wanted to switch to an aisle/window. The middle seat was cramped and uncomfortable, particularly for 8 hours (after 7 hours of connections and waiting in airports). UGH."
Prós: "Heathrow T5 bag drop and terminal in general was great as usual."
Contras: "Iberia are a poor codeshare partner. Old plane, tacky interior, and just like BA they make it difficult to get even a glass of water without paying extra."

Contras: "The flight was being run by Iberia, not British Airways. Iberia has a policy which did not allow me to check in without proof of a return flight. Unfortunately, my travel partner had booked the return flight and did not share the details with me. I was not able to reach my travel partner and, as such, was forced to buy a new ~$2,300 return ticket on the spot in order to provide the necessary proof. This was an extreme inconvenience, as I nearly missed my flight. If Iberia or British Airways made its travelers aware of this policy in advance of their check in. I have no intention of flying Iberia ever again."
Prós: "Excellent service by crew. Attention to meeting everyone's needs. Was impressed with their discreet yet efficient assistance to an individual who became ill on board. Was really impressed by this."
Contras: "Drink choices , including champagne, were great. Food however, while improved since our last experience, was mediocre ."
Contras: "The flight was awful! Boarding was unorganized. Once on the plane, space was TIGHT! I have flown with Iberia before and had leg room and TVs behind the chairs. This was not like this. Seats were uncomfortable for an 8 hour flight, smelly, and flimsy. I have never been more uncomfortable. The crew were nice but one was very rude to a passenger snapping at him and all ignored a very drunk man on my flight as much as possible. This man was very disruptive for most of the flight singing, shaking seats, touching other passengers, and walking about the flight. I did not feel safe at all! The staff would tell him to sit down, walk away, and he would be instantly back up. Staff would see this and ignore. I had no idea what to do. I felt unsupported and unsafe. The flight had constant turbalence to go along with it. To the point that they canceled dinner. I wanted to kiss the ground when I got off the flight. This was absolutely miserable. I could not be more disappointed."

Contras: "They are trying to optimize seats in the plane and I could barely fit in the space provided in the plane. Really unpleasant flight"
Prós: "ORD -> MAD The flight was on time, it boarded on time, it took off only a few minutes late (you can blame that on incredibly crowded ORD). It landed, on time, to an empty terminal. The plane itself was new, very clean, and very well kept. The crew was friendly and spoke a wide variety of languages, including English, French, and of course Spanish. They had no issue with Latin American Spanish or European Spanish accents, which is a concern for some. Overall the flight got me to my destination on time, in one piece, and without breaking the bank."
Contras: "The seats, oh the dreaded seats. In economy class the seats are the most uncomfortable thing you can sit on for 8 hours. If they replaced them with plastic folding lawn chairs, you would have a better time. But that is what you get for flying coach."

Contras: "Well, if I needed to send a fax, there was a line provided even with a mobile airplane phone that didn't work. The LCD screen didn't work on most seats, no USB charging, no adjustable headrests, blowers were barely functioning. The jet needs to be replaced especially for being an overseas flight."
Prós: "My husband and I greatly enjoyed our non-stop flight from London to Chicago. A long flight was made pleasant by the professionalism of the flight-staff and the meals, beverages, and movies we had on the plane. Please note that our original flight was cancelled by the airline, and we got a non-stop flight in its place--which was even better--so we did not make any stop at Madrid, Spain. The non-stop was through British Airways, but we actually traveled via an American Airlines flight. The experience was really terrific!"

Prós: "I travel for pleasure a lot and this was my first time flying TAP Portugal. I flew from LIS to MAD and the crew were overall more friendly and smiling than on US domestic flights. The plane was clean and bright. I did not notice if the seats recline. I will be using them for short flights throughout Europe when I return for visit."
Contras: "Flight was so short they rushed us eating the cookie and only water was served that I could tell. Also, TAP has their own boarding check-in wing of Lisbon airport. It was not clearly marked and Eropean arrows pointing up could mean to continue forward, as well as go to upper floors."

It was imposible to accept, so I've cancelled and bouhgt another ticket from other airline and ask for refund. Three months later I still waiting for the money. Not recommend at all TAP."
Prós: "It was a very short flight, so non-reclining seats were not a problem. They also seemed a nice distance from the seat in front, so there was no problem of having the person in front basically in your lap."
Contras: "They handed out a small biscuit which made me expect water or coffee to have with it. This is not the case."
Prós: "The plan was clean, newer, and comfortable. If you sit towards the front of the plane you end up sitting in economy plus for the economy price."
Contras: "No entertainment, but the flight were short enough it wasn't really a problem. With downloadable Netflix and Prime, that isn't a problem anymore."
Contras: "I booked this flight months and months ago on Kayak, excited by what I thought was an excellent deal to go visit an old friend. When I got to the Boston airport, I was told there is a fee to check a bag with the ticket type I purchased- of 90 DOLLARS each way!!! This is absurdly expensive. I tried to pay with cash as I had very little on my card, and was told this isn't possible. So I had to pay the fee, and arrive at my 7 hour layover with next to no cash on my card- too little to buy a meal in the airport. So I had a miserable layover experience. I do not recall seeing this baggage fee listed anywhere on Kayak when I booked my flight- it looks like this policy took effect in September 2017, but I booked my flight in July. I am very upset about this additional charge- it is dishonest and I will not be flying with TAP again. I am also considering using alternatives to Kayak, as the TAP representative said that it's Kayak's fault the baggage fee wasn't listed."

Prós: "The on-board entertainment was decent, as they had pretty recent films available to view. The on-flight attendants were very friendly and professional."
Contras: "I'm an average sized skinny male (5'11"/ 180 cm), and I almost literally couldn't fit in my seat. These airlines are doing everything save on costs by jamming as many people as possible onto an aircraft...this makes for a terribly uncomfortable 12hr long red-eye flight. The food was mediocre at best (my gf actually got sick from it), and the boarding process was anything but organized, allowing anyone to board at any given time. It was very hectic and took far too long."
Prós: "The employees were very friendly."
Contras: "The food service was cancelled due to being short a flight attendant. We were initially advised that the food had not made it to the aircraft. Afterwards we saw the crew eating while we were left with no food or drink service. We then discovered that since they were short one crew member the crew would not serve food or drinks for "safety concerns". It turns out they could have served but preferred to adhere to their union under the guise of passenger safety and remain seated the entire flight doing crossword puzzles and the like which definitely made me feel much safer."

The agent there said there would be no reason to board early even though I have a doctor's note. She said I could board with everyone else and was extremely rude and dismissive. Thank goodness the ticket agent helped me out (by putting me in a seat where I'd be first to board), but if he hadn't, it would have been a terrible experience."
Contras: "It did not included luggage cost which means i had to pay additional cost. You SHOULD state it in booking pages (NOT LINK). If i knew it i would never use TAP. I found direct flight, cheaper. I want you to pay back."

Contras: "First of all I fly all the time at least once a week. This is my first time experiencing roaches on an aircraft!. I tried calling someone but I was looked at and ignored because I wanted to ask top change seats. I didnt want to cause a scene and affect the airlines reputation with people freaking out or feeling uncomfortable so I just moved to another aisle. Service very mediocre and plane was old."
Contras: "This airline consistently overbooks all of their flights. I bought my ticket 3 months prior and checked in 10 hours beforehand and was put on standby along with 5 others in the same situation. When we spoke to the TAP people at the gate they proceeded to tell us that they are used to this and it happens on every flight!!!!! I cannot believe that their is an airline that is so greedy that they purposely overbook their flights! It almost ruined our entire trip because we almost missed two connection flights and they did not care at all."
Contras: "To whom It May concern: My husband and I had a very very bad time trying fly from lisbon to Madrid through TAP. We booked together under same booking number. We don't know why my husband's ticket had been cancelled?? Thanks good! We have to spend five times more money to buy another ticket to fly together!! Now we try to find out what happened.
