The terminal experience at SEA/TAC security check is confusing for first timers in the terminal. The employees are helpful and courteous but the signage is not helpful. I still believe TSA is part of the problem and if it’s here to stay it needs to l prove.
I didn’t get a seat assignment until boarding. By then only bad seats were available. I blame kayak for this.
When I purchased the ticket, dogs were allowed to fly from my home to the US but when I got to the airport the rule had changed and I was not allowed to board. I was required to make arrangements with another airline to get back to the US at great inconvenience and expense a day later.
This is a first time for me on Alaska Airlines, but none of the power outlets worked.
Just realized that Alaska has way more standard leg room then United. Made the flight much better and more comfortable.

Also, was told carry on back wouldn’t fit in overhead and that I had to check it, which isn’t true as I saw other passengers with my exact same bag who didn’t have to check theirs and it fit."

Contras: "Ironically we had no issues checking in for the return flight through Delta Sunday 7 pm when we booked the flights. Therefore we could not leave San Diego and Alaskan Airlines front desk said we were three minutes late in person and would not issue boarding passes. We missed our soccer playoffs."

Prós: "Service was excellent as always. I was cold and reluctant to say anything. Seemed like lots were asking for hot drinks and bundled up so the stewardess asked the pilot to crank up the heat. (No one had requested this!) At that moment I realized, many of us are afraid due to recent things on the news. I am a frequent and long-term traveller so if I felt it, you can be sure others do too. It is an industry problem, not your fault, but Alaska has to address it. Even if people don't know that they are angry or afraid, they are going to be reactive--aggressive or passive and/or resistant.... I would encourage you to bring the issue to the surface and remind your travellers on every flight that they can expect excellent service, pleasant responsiveness. Say something or do something that gets at the idea that the Alaska staff is protective of each passenger. One idea would be to have the stewardess remind people of the call light and encourage passengers to use it if they have any questions or concerns, or come see them in the back when it is safe to leave the seat."

Sitting In the plane for 1 hour not knowing why
Delta does a great job in general. However, the “Comfort+“ seats weren’t worth the money. I sat in both seats, and I compared the width of the seats and the distance from the seat edge to the back of the seat in front of it. There was a difference of about 2” in the seat width and 1” in the leg room. Very disappointing.

Somehow we wound up with seats right next to the bathroom door, which would have been a pretty uncomfortable situation for a variety of reasons, but the flight wasn't full, and she helped us find a suitable place to sit. Also, my wife and I usually take our tea with honey vs. milk and sugar. Even though honey is usually one of the options for tea, she found a way to accommodate our request. The lunch meals were the best I can remember in a long time on an airline flight. They might have been the best I've ever had. The chicken curry was authentic, flavorful and spicy. Frankly my outbound flight had problems. My luggage got damaged. The transfer experience in Manchester left a LOT to be desired. I wasn't planning to use Virgin Atlantic again, but this flight crew (Daniella especially) redeemed Virgin Atlantic. They were attentive, pleasant, diligent."

They weren’t in our section of the cabin at all to start with, and I don’t know why they were apparently able to get a free upgrade that I had to pay £100 for. We went from being in an almost empty cabin to being basically sat in the middle of an Orthodox Jewish kindergarten. It was awful! They were noisy, messy, were constantly getting in and out of their seats, the back of my seat kept getting kicked, and there was even a baby crawling around the aisle. We were surrounded. I have no idea whether this is characteristic of Orthodox Jewish family life, or just a completely inconsiderate family. They didn’t exactly ruin my flight, but they didn’t make it enjoyable either. I asked to be moved. The cabin crew were great and acknowledged the difficulty of the situation. My wife lost her window seat but at least we still had the legroom and peace and quiet."

And finally cabin crew were lacking serious customer service and when u ask for something they were just so reluctant to deliver as if we were given a free ticket or something. May it be noted that my ticket was not that cheap to be treated in such manner."

Though the cabin crew were smiley and friendly, it was hard to get their attention when needed. The PA system is much louder than the entertainment, so announcements were ear bursting. The dinner selections ran out early, so a good proportion did not get their choice."

They tried to hold me back in a separate area after the screening and I once again told them my fiancee was waiting for me. One staff memeber walked with me half way back to get her and then disappeared. By the time I found her and came back, the staff memeber was no where to be found. Now we had lost are spot in the line and had to go to the back of the line. We spoke to 3 different staff people about what was going on and everyone said, oh the guy over there will help you. But no one did. The staff had No idea how to run a security check or handle paople. There was No working wifi! There was no tvs in the seats, only the old style in the aisle. The staff told me the plan was going to retire at the end of the month. The food was more for animals then for humans! We got updates by txt 10 mins before the staff updated the gate on our flight out from SFO. I have traveled all over the world with a lot of airlines and Never had such a poor service, but what is it to expect. It was United after all!"

She was very obviously annoyed with nearly everything on that flight. The restrooms were beyond disgusting. I have never flown on a flight with a restroom that awful; it smelled horrible and was filthy. It was reminiscent of a portable outhouse, no exaggeration. The pillow on my seat had makeup on it."
Prós: "I liked everything, which is very uncharacteristic :)) At least compared to the big American carriers or the national European ones, VA is a gen - esthetically for sure. Clean, comfy, stylish! Will be my choice from now on."

I have flown international on Delta, American Airlines, British Airlines, United, and others and any difference in the experience was negligible."

Contras: "The seats!!!! Omg I got bed sores. Not really but they have got to be the most uncomfortable things I have ever sat in. For a European flight from Uk they'd be fine. But for 9 hours...not good. The short hop down from ATL to MCO after was a blessed relief. Virgin, you have got to think a little more about your passengers asses. Also, having flown with just about every major transatlantic operator, including previous trips with Virgin, the knee room was not good. If you stretched out under the seat in front you were ok but draw your knees up... I wore short trousers for comfort and have sore points on my knees where they rubbed against the material of the chair in front."

As mudanças feitas de última hora foram desgastante por não ter opções razoáveis dentro do horário que eu tinha contratado. A LATAM tem um serviço muito ruim de APP que poderia facilitar resolver estas pendências de mudança de voos.
reduziram absurdamente as porções de comida! Na janta serviram ou macarrão ou carne com batatas escolhi a carne por encher mais o estomago mas foi uma porção absurdamente pequena , junto com uma tirinha de pão e 1 alfajor... antes serviam porção de salada, sobremesa e uma porção decente de comida! Café da manhã foi um sanduíche de queijo com presunto ou omelete aí tem escolha de iogurte ou fruta, bem diferente de como era, serviam pão, iogurte e fruta para todos! Sem contar que no meio do vôo não serviram nem água nem nada
O checkin foi muito bagunçado, pessoas de outro voo entraram no avião por conta da mudança repentina de portão, e o staff muito desatento no portão.

The crew was friendly. The food was good. I was charged 265 USD for two bags from Lima to Seattle. This seemed very extreme. But I had no choice because I had to get my luggage to Seattle.
They didn’t give any food so I was starving in the end of flight and one of the flight attendants wasn’t polite with passengers.

Aliás vocês poderiam voltar a disponibilizar aquele lanchinho da madrugada. Faz falta. Outra coisa: Vocês marcam nossos assentos, parece que por sorteio, sem respeitar a necessidade de cada um. Sou uma senhora de 80 anos com problemas nas pernas e levanto varias vezes durante o vôo. Preciso de uma poltrona no corredor. Simples assim. Não pode ser por sorteio Respeitem seus usuários que escolheram vocês dentre tantas companhias.

o embarque demorou mais de uma hora, e depois ficamos mais uma hora aguardando documento de embraque com lista de passageiros para liberarem o voo.
Paguei mais caro pra mudar meu assento. Aí chegou na hora e não tinha mudado. Aí me colocaram em outro assento mais pra trás. Uma demora no atendimento pra despachar bagagem. Foi muito ruim. Eu com meu bebê de colo.
aero moca queria por minha bagagem de mao no porao, falei para ela que nao queria por, pois tinha um voo de conexao assim que chegassemos em sao paulo, aero moca foi grossa e nao pensou em outra solucao. eu falei com outro passageiro que ja tinha outras malas no porao para ele por sua mala de mao no porao. voo saiu mais de uma hora atrasado.
No option to reserve a better seat. I was allocated the last seat in the middle in the last row at the back of the airplane. Completely full airplane, which again made me nervous due to COVID-19 risks of getting infected. Crew was very efficient, though.

Da pontualidade e organização no embarque. As poltronas eram péssimas, talvez uma aeronave antiga…, o encosto da poltrona, parecia uma chapa de madeira. Muito desconfortável.
Alguns funcionários muito bons, já outros muito ruins com muita estupidez e arrogância.

I always try to book on TAP. Every single flight I’ve had with them has always been flawless. They’re more expensive than the pure budget airlines, but not much. That extra little bit I pay is worth it 100x.

Very very cold inside the aircraft. It took more than 2hours to get served by the Crew. The Crew was very polite. The Flight was delayed and No explaination and the gate changed the time from 12:15 to 12:10 even though it was first delayed to 12:25. Departure was finally 13:05lt The app for check-in is also not user friendly. Really unprofessionel in so many levels
The experience at the airport was traumatic to say the least, the flight was extremely delayed as a result

Lisbon Airport is the worst in EU, for sure.
Flight was canceled and nobody notified us (business class) until we arrived at the airport. Tap tried to rebook us into economy for next flight but we would have missed out connection anyway. Had to pitch a fit to be rebooked on a different airline in business. Ended up in JFK instead of Newark but at least got home.
O voo foi mudado, incluindo o aeroporto de partida (de Gatwick para Heathrow), não indicando qualquer motivo para tal. Inclusivamente escolhemos aquele voo para não ter de trocar de aeroporto, pagando uma tarifa maior. Concluindo, tivemos de arranjar maneira de ir para outro aeroporto no meio de uma greve de transportes. Entre comboios atrasados e metros fechados, a última opção (depois de já termos gasto 50 libras) foi apanhar um táxi no meio de um engarrafamento. Gastámos perto de 80€ devido à troca de aeroporto. Péssima experiência!
Check in was a disaster. The testing rules are ridiculous. They made me wait so long to tell me to get another test that I missed the flight, then they charged me a fee. The staff was rude and uninformed. I will never fly this airline again and will advise others to avoid.
DO NOT FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE! I wish I would have taken the negative reviews I had read to heart before I had to discover it for myself. To start with, we were charged an extra $100 for our carry-on baggage apparently being overweight. This was not something we were told about prior to flying or we would have packed differently. During our layover in Portugal, we were delayed. Once they started to board, we got on the bus and drove out to the plane. Upon arriving at the plane, there were already two other busses there that had not even offloaded yet since they were apparently still servicing the plane. We had to stand in a crowded bus for about 45 minutes packed in like sardines. So much for social distancing and covid concerns! The plane itself was uncomfortable and the service terrible. I have flown across the Atlantic many many times on other airlines and have always received amazing service. This was not the case with TAP. Other than a small glass of water, we were only served drinks one time. There were no refills or additional service, which for a 9-hour flight is unheard of. I hated every minute of my time with TAP and will never fly with them again even if someone offered me a free ticket.
