Also expect to pay a bit more for decent seat assignments. My default seat assignment was at the very back of the plane, right against the rear bulkhead where seats often can't recline. So, another $60 to move elsewhere."

LATAM splits passengers into different groups: first class, special needs, priority because you paid, everybody else. That's fine at most airports. At Santiago's airport, however, passengers ride a bus from the gate to the plane, mixing up all the groups on the bus, so what's the point? Worse, special needs passengers were the first to get on the bus, but end up last to get off screwing over the elderly and those with small children. What a system!"

But to her credit, she looked into it and eventually agreed we did not have to pay the extra fee. It cost $65 for an extra bag. Seems steep but whatever, we paid it. The gate changed but no one told the ticket counter. When we arrived at the gate, dozens of other passengers were there but the electronic board stated the flight was at a different gate. Aeromexico staff needed to look into it to discover the gate had been moved. Not impressed with their internal communications. The flight departed about 40 minutes late. Not bad. The food was awful. Could only eat the cookie."

And on my ticket I didn't have the gate number or the terminal, the goalkeeper said he would let me know when the flight was leaving, the hours passed and I didn't hear him calling me. until near the departure time I went to ask the employee and he said that the flight had left a long time ago and that the entrance was on the opposite side of where I was and they did not warn me ... now I'm here at the airport with no place to sleep, waiting for my other flight with a connection to Brasilia that leaves 6 am where I will wait for almost 12 hours to be able to get home. remembering that my flight from São Paulo to Cuiabá was 3 hours long and I will have to wait for almost 24 hours. A goalkeeper was super arrogant with me, gave me no support and even told me that if I was in the United States I would be waiting for 3 days at the airport sleeping on the floor, so it was ok."

The flight was supposed to get to Abidjan around noon, but because of the delay, we missed the connection and the next available flight was the next day which would mean I missed my next flight and a work conference. In Delhi, the Ethiopian Airlines people assured me that it could be worked out in Addis, and that they could change my final destination to get me where I needed to go. However, in Addis, the employees were rude and did not even read the email that the Delhi people sent them. They would not do anything except send me to Abidjan the following day, which was useless since I already had to be in the US by then. The level of service is incredibly poor and disorganized, with many people having to wait for hours to even talk to someone and no information about what needs to be done. In the end, i had to purchase a new ticket to get to my destination. Had I known this was the case in Delhi, and that i would have to purchase a new ticket, I would have done so in Delhi rather than waiting all night and going to Addis. I fly very often and this is both the worse experience and service I’ve ever experienced on a flight, and they weren’t even able to get me to my destination."
Contras: "Flight was delayed and caused me to miss my connecting flight on another airline that had no other flights that day. As a result of the lack of communication and general lack of professionalism, staff refused to rectify the situation and take responsibility, and I was forced to stay overnight. Worst"

Contras: "Overall, it's kinda depressing to fly with Ethiopian, the whole experience, from the colors of the uniforms, to the big African people, there was not enough room to seat next to other person, we and some people we met on the flight experienced the same thing. Addis Ababba was very not welcoming, we had a small tour at the city, the people are aggressive, we heard a lot of "farengie" all the time - "foreigners", everything was very expensive, because tourist have a lot of money... they are not afraid to touch you, even at the face. if somebody offers you guiding, they will ask for money later on and will take you to expensive places."

Contras: "The flight from miami to santa Cruz was terrible. My friend also had a ticket with them. We got there checked in and checked the bags. During this process the ladies that were checking in people had very bad attitudes. My friend who already had her visa for Bolivia was harassed for paperwork for a visa. (Which was not necessarily needed, AA proved tha t) but she didn't check her passport. I informed the attendant that she already had it. Then they didn't direct us where to go. We didn't see the other f corridor going upstairs. So we waited then I finally I started asking questions because it was 12 minute from departure. All the employees said they left. Not only did they leave early but made no announcement of missing passengers or that they were leaving. We could not get a hold of anyone from Boa to help. We called only to be told we would have to wait until the next day to see if we could leave. It was so sketchy that we booked a sure flight with AA. In the morning we went to check for our bags but no one was there. So while waiting for the flight from AA a attendant from Boa comes over to say "I remember you""you missed your flight ". So told her what happened and she didn't respond as to why they left early. Only that our bags were still in the airport and there was a fee. I responded for what and again she didn't answer. So returned later to pickup our bags from Boa and waited in line. We were told to talk to the manager who ignored us and some others. A rude attendant steps away from checking in people to ask why we missed our flight. I told her what happened. Then she says tsa closed at 1030pm. I told her they never mentioned this and how are we to know. The manager kept insisting that the computer was down and she could not talk. My friend kindly explained that we just need our bags because boarding for our was soon to begin. She didn't listen, she said the computer is down so we have to wait although our bags were right next to her. So the rude attendant (blond, wish I got her name) comes over to say you going to have to pay 250 for the flight change. Then I told her "look we are not flying with you and we need our bags for another flight". So she gave them to us angrily and my friend asked why she was so anger. Then finally we got the managers attention and both said no nobody is anrgy. Then my friend proceeds to say but you're raising your voice and the blond attendant say I'm not angry, I'm upset because you delayed a flight. I Choose to stay quiet because I was so angry. Now that I think about it. I think they complained to security because when we returned security stopped both of us although we were separated by that time."

Not one update at the airport was in English even though the flight was going to a US city. Once on the plane the flight attendant repeatedly asked me questions not in English when she knew I didn't understand her and I know she spoke English since she made a few announcements in English. food was not good. Very carb heavy and protein was very dry. No entertainment on a 7 hour flight. No place to buy a book or magazine in the holding pen area prior to boarding. This flight was not worth the money saved. I would have been better off spending a few more hundred on another airline."

I have not been warned at any time and by any mean (no mail, no sms) of that change and I had to pay a 30 usd penalty in order to take the flight I ordered (otherwise I would have been stuck in La Paz)"

I vegetarian and they only gave me a veggie meal my first flight. My second they were well we don't have it but let me give you the number of the office so you can call and make sure it doesn't happen on your return flight. As if I would ever fly them again!!! Worse than Spirit, Ryanair, and southwest combined!!!!"

Y OTRAS AEREOLINEAS DEL MISMO RUBRO .... el snack que dan es asqueroso ... podrian comprar una cocita mejor para dar el sandwich feisimo y como guardado .... lo unico que pude tomar fue un cafe .."

Both say "you are responsible for complying with travel restrictions" but no one gives you the documentation requirements. Go through a travel agent for this one, really. I bought these tix for me and my 2 daughters on kayak/vayama.com thrilled for the low fare to miami to visit their great-grandparents. BUT got turned around at the airport in Bolivia because I didn't have my husbands authorization. He was waiting for us in miami. BOA assessed a $150 no-show fee, plus $150 change fee. My husband had to fly back to bolivia meet us, purchase new ticket, then turn around the next day and all fly back to Miami together. Our $381 rt tix ended up costing an additional $1800, not to mention three extra days and a LOT of heartache, headache, and tears. Incredibly difficult."
