As fronteiras do Uruguai estão atualmente fechadas, com algumas exceções para o reagrupamento familiar entre pais e filhos menores solteiros ou filhos adultos com deficiência, ou entre cônjuges ou cônjuges em união estável.
Também podem entrar no país motoristas de empresas de transporte internacional, pilotos de avião e marinheiros.
Requisitos de entrada
Todos os viajantes e tripulantes da companhia aérea que entrarem no Uruguai precisarão apresentar um certificado de teste RT-PCR negativo para coronavírus, realizado nas 72 horas anteriores à viagem, bem como preencher uma declaração de saúde.
Os viajantes devem ter um seguro de saúde e viagem válido para a duração da estadia e preencher a declaração de saúde antes da chegada.
Requisitos de quarentena
Os viajantes que permanecerem mais de 7 dias devem entrar em isolamento por 7 dias. Eles serão testados novamente no dia 7 e podem sair da quarentena com um resultado negativo.
Os viajantes também devem fazer o download do 'Coronavirus Oops' para rastreamento de contato, e todos os estrangeiros não residentes que entrarem no Uruguai devem ter um comprovante de seguro de saúde que cubra o coronavírus suspeito ou real.
Regras de trânsito
Os viajantes não estão autorizados a transitar pelo país, com exceção de cidadãos e residentes da Argentina, Brasil, Paraguai em trânsito por Montevidéu (MVD) ou Punta del Este (PDP).

This was the worst airline experience in my life. Absolutely horrible. I will never travel with Avianca again. Avianca staff spoke hardly any English, so I couldn't hardly communicate with them either. Horrible."

Prós: "Bag drop-off was quick and efficient for those checked-in online. Clean modern aircraft (A330) with decent space for economy class. Not spacious, but not cramped either. I felt comfortable for the entire six hour flight without leaving my seat. 2-4-2 seat layout in economy is pleasant. Food was satisfactory. From prior experience I know that the business class seats on Avianca's A330 are very comfortable with a lie flat 180 degree recline. Luggage delivery in Bogota is super-fast generally, although in this case it did not matter given the long immigration delay."
Contras: "Entertainment system took over 90 minutes to boot up properly, which also meant in-seat lighting was not working for this time. Immigration arrivals processing in Bogota took too long. Passengers were arriving without forms completed and immigration officers allowed them to fill them out at the immigration desks instead of sending them away. Queue control was unsatisfactory."

Prós: "I flew executive class. The staff was very friendly and professional on the ground and on the air. seats are comfortable and there's a lot of storage space. The plane left on time and entertainment option aboard is great. What I did not like is that being seated in row 3, for four flights, I never got to eat the meal I wanted. It's seems the option always dies in row 2, just after less than half of the passengers flying executive class have ordered they meal. The rest was great and I would fly copa again!"

As a result, we had to exit the secured area in Rio to go check in manually again for our connection and then go through security and customs again."

This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had. The staff was disrespectful and would not help us. We ended up taking another flight until the following night!!"

And on my ticket I didn't have the gate number or the terminal, the goalkeeper said he would let me know when the flight was leaving, the hours passed and I didn't hear him calling me. until near the departure time I went to ask the employee and he said that the flight had left a long time ago and that the entrance was on the opposite side of where I was and they did not warn me ... now I'm here at the airport with no place to sleep, waiting for my other flight with a connection to Brasilia that leaves 6 am where I will wait for almost 12 hours to be able to get home. remembering that my flight from São Paulo to Cuiabá was 3 hours long and I will have to wait for almost 24 hours. A goalkeeper was super arrogant with me, gave me no support and even told me that if I was in the United States I would be waiting for 3 days at the airport sleeping on the floor, so it was ok."

And the gate check in had an absurdly small number of kiosks and no one to help the confused passengers. Boarding was done on time and they kept the door open for 20 minutes after take off time with no announced reason for the delay."
Prós: "Everything about today’s flight hit the right notes: wonderful lounge, premium boarding line, no one in the middle seat, overhead bin space was very good, Wifi to watch movies and a holder for my iPhone while watching the movie, quick and efficient food and drink service, etc."
Contras: "There were no negatives for me on this flight."
