And the seats are incredibly narrow. When the person in front of me had their seat reclining I had even less room. Horrible. The only reason the flight from Zurich to Boston wasn't quite as bad was because I was able to get the seat by the exit aisle with extra legroom. The food was terrible. It didn't taste like real food. It looked and tasted totally artificial. Overall, a very poor experience."

The pilot would say something over the PA like "flight attendants prepare for take off in 2 minutes" and literally two minutes later we were taking off. The phrase "runs like a Swiss watch" is an idiom for a reason. The seats were comfortable with a decent amount of legroom, even in economy. You get fed on the flight...even a short two hour flight everyone got a little sandwich. It's not much but if I were on a flight at home in Canada I wouldn't be getting anything. There was also complimentary drinks, including beer and wine on board. Plus you get a little Swiss chocolate for your flight. I love SWISS."
Contras: "Downside to this flight is there isn't any seatback entertainment system. There are a few tv screen that were playing some funny cat videos kind of deal. There's also no plugins or chargers on your flight. So make sure to have your electronics charged before you board, and bring something to do for your flight. There is an inflight SWISS magazine to read, but if you are on a longer flight you'll want something else as well."

Before leaving to Istanbul when we were in New York we asked if they would reroute our flights from New York City to Naples, Italy since the terrorist attack occurred in Istanbul causing the airport to be shut down. We were reassured that there would be no problems and we would be rerouted once we landed in Turkey, and lo and behold our flights were canceled. We had to spend the day in Turkey, pay for our own food, and pay for the visa €30 per person. This all could have been avoided had they rerouted our flights to another city."

Prós: "At Lisboa airport, I was checked in by Antonio. Most helpful checkin guy I've ever spoken to in my years of traveling. The food is always impressive (for airline food) and they give you a lot to drink. The last time I flew, there was an Autistic passenger throwing a fit and no one seemed to do anything. This time, a person was really upset with his companion on the flight and began screaming. The attendants helped calm him down and fixed the situation quickly. I guess last time they must've just let it happen because of the disability so there's not much they can do in that situation."
Contras: "Not a big ran of the Turkish Airport. Everything is pretty cheap for an airport though if you bring Turkish Lira. They tend to round the price up a bit if you pay in USD or Euro."

Tensions were high and the crew was not around to assuage the masses. Very unhelpful. The 4 hour flight became a 9 and a half hour flight. It, for lack of a better term, sucked"

Your so called Muslim meals are not suitable for kids!! There is no such thing as a Muslim meal either. It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc. Also I requested help with transfer to my last flight which was horrendous because I’m one adult with 4 kids ages 1 to 11 and my eldest has sever learning disability. I nearly missed my flight because our flight landed late and I was struggling to keep my kids safe and together while running for the next flight. Somone should have been there to help with transfer."
Contras: "We were unable to fly this trip due to United cancelling our flight."
Contras: "We only had 45 minutes between flights. We almost missed our flight to Naples due to having to go through security again in Frankfurt. The Frankfurt airport was very congested. I wouldn’t have booked a flight with such a short layover had I known how far apart the gates were and that we’d have to go through security again. I would suggest not offering flights with such short layovers."
Prós: "There was no communication between aircrew and gate for transfers. There is a new additional check between gates and no passenger was informed. This security check was over an hour long. The flight was not held for me and other passengers and when we arrived at the gate they were oblivious of the fact that we had been held up in what seemed to be a Km long security line."

Prós: "Did not make this flight due to lines at Frankfurt security. Customer service has been awful, had to wait two hours to speak to anyone and ended up purchasing another flight because they sold out of all decent connections."

Prós: "The staff was communicative and genuine. The food was decent. Even though the flight arrived late I felt ok about it due to the direct communication of details about the situation. I was stuck in the extremely cramped space of seats just in front of the lavatory making the seat in front me 5 inches from my nose when reclined but the staff was sympathetic offering to ask the passenger in front of me to redress their seat more upright and also allowing me to spread out across two seats to compensate."
Contras: "While the staff compensated for the more than standardly cramped seating arrangement, I think the row of seats just in front of the lavatories should be either better designed or designated not usable. I am only 5’3” and 125lbs but still was faced with a mere 5 inches in front of me when the passenger in front of me reclined his seat. I couldn’t even stand in order to exit the row and had to crawl over the seats to my side. This had me thinking how dangerous this row could be in case of an emergency. Please consider designating these seats either not to be used or optional for passengers."
Contras: "Packed flight. LH seats are narrow and the front porch is not extensible enough. Hard to place books and newspapers. Film selection so so."

Contras: "Very uncomfortable seats too close together. Boarding was late and plane was full. People had to out roller boards understand seats that were too close together. Seemed very unsafe. Stuffy and hot. Terrible turbulence."

Contras: "Boarding was very disorganized in the gate area. Two lines just kind of smooshed together. Boarding at the plane was also a hot mess because you could enter from the front or back of the plane and people in the very back that entered at the front had to shove past people entering from the back moving toward the center of the plane."

Contras: "The small size of the plane made the long-lasting turbulence near the point of landing impossible to ignore. I don't consider this the fault of the pilot, more the size of the plane."
Prós: "I loved the ample number of bathrooms and their cleanliness. This was hugely important to me and would be reason enough to choose Lufthansa (and not Swiss Air) again. The families-first boarding made our flight much more pleasant than we'd expected. In all my travels, it's rare for me to have two pleasantly astounding experiences in the same flight. Thank you for your improvements of bathrooms, Lufthansa!"
Contras: "Other airlines have flight attendants who are a bit warmer and more responsive to children. That's one area where Swiss Air came out on top."

Contras: "Not on time. Lost luggage."
Contras: "They lost the luggage for nearly all the passengers on the flight. I don't know how it happened, but they "forgot" to load suitcases for over 100 people, and they never even told us. We all just waited for our luggage at the baggage claim and only after we all complained that our luggage was missing did we find out that none of it made it to our destination. Now, we're without luggage for 2 of our 7 days in Italy."
Prós: "The seats on the leg of this flight were much more comfortable and there was normal space for feet."
Contras: "The boarding here was completely unorganized. After people had just been in a crowd, they attempted to have people love up, which was futile. Some of the seats were dirty and/or unkempt. The snack option wasn't to my liking and may have been the cause of a stomachache later."

Contras: "Only one toilet working in business class. A crew member told me that it was a decision to fly with only one toilet to ensure no delay. There was a disgusting stench of sewerage for the complete flight from Amsterdam to Johannesburg. This was in all likelihood due to the broken toilet on the left side."

He had not paid for the upgrade, but the crew let him stay in my seat. I had asked him to social distance but he continued to sit right behind me bo matter which seat I moved to. He argued with the crew until they gave up and let him stay. They did not check his boarding pass or ask him to move to his assigned seat I found a different seat away from him but I don’t see the point in paying for extra legroom when the crew let’s people who haven’t paid for it sit it those seats. I felt harassed by the man and was very uncomfortable the whole flight. I am considering my next step, I think I should at least receive a refund for the upgrade I paid for."

Contras: "The only complaint I had was that it was very warm on the flight (and I usually get cold on flights), and in the seats we had there weren't fans above the seats. A few rows up they had fans, so apparently you have to pay extra for air... This wouldn't be a big deal on a short domestic flight, but for an international flight it was a long time to be uncomfortable!"

She has to eat just fruits. My mother is a diabetic patient and she needs a food every after some time. I never had such a bad experience before with any other airlines."

Prós: "The crew was fantastic! Our needs were constantly being met and just about the time you thought you might want a snack or a meal, the attendants were already heading down the aisle. Because of an allergic reaction, I asked for ice a number of times and the attendants were more than happy to meet my needs."
Contras: "The seats were very close together. The trip from New York to Amsterdam seemed a lot more comfortable than the return flight. The food from NYC JFK was better than the food from Amsterdam. The movie selection on both flights was a little disappointing."

As a result, we had to exit the secured area in Rio to go check in manually again for our connection and then go through security and customs again."

After the 3 hours passed they were only announcing in Portuguese to board the original plane. They never changed planes or provided a clear explanation to the passengers. Many of us refused to board. This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had. The staff was disrespectful and would not help us. We ended up taking another flight until the following night!!"

I wish they would fix their website so checkin isn't as frustrating as it was for me. I understand the airlines merged but if each airline is unable to access eachothers flight then how exactly did you merge? ALSO when we got off the first flighy to connect in this one they gave us no explanation until 20min later to where we should commect to this flight. They MADE US WALK A 20min WALK TO ANOTHER TERMINAL WITH ALL OUR BAGS. It was awful. If your gonna need people to walk to another terminal the least you can do is supply a shuttle."

NEVER NEVER will take again a flight with internal connection from TAM/LAN. After that the flight to MXP was barely decent. Crew very unprepared and young, Not used to international flights. Low quality company. Very disappointing."
