Contras: "The boarding process was pointless While this is a quirk of the airport, the airline should change their procedure for this scenario. LATAM splits passengers into different groups: first class, special needs, priority because you paid, everybody else. That's fine at most airports. At Santiago's airport, however, passengers ride a bus from the gate to the plane, mixing up all the groups on the bus, so what's the point? Worse, special needs passengers were the first to get on the bus, but end up last to get off screwing over the elderly and those with small children. What a system!"

The first leg of my flight was operated by Wamos, though it was a LATAM flight. I know that this is something that happens often for all sorts of reasons, however I can’t help but think it had something to do with the transition of my luggage from one flight to the next. My flights home are similar ( One leg of it being operated by another airline) and needless to say I’m a bit nervous about that."

Extremely disappointing after having otherwise positive experiences with LAN."

The Flight attendants were attentive and thoughtful (remembering what I was drinking). We left snd landed on time. And the entertainment system is one of the best I’ve experienced."

Many people had to wait overnight in the plastic airport chairs until the next flight at 8am Thurs Jan 5th. At that late hour could not the lights be slightly dimmed, the heavy beat pop music loop discontinued, and a dispensary machine with water, coffee or tea be in the departure area? There was none and the other shops had closed. It was overly bright, noisy and impossible to stretch out on the seats with rigid dividers."

I noticed that there were several TVs around me that also were having issues. On a long flight- 5+ plus hours, a TV with movies can be extremely helpful! If the technology had been kept functional, it would have been a much more tolerable flight."

He was suffering from food poisoning from the previous flight and was unable to hold it in before the plane took off. They were very gracious with making sure that he had sufficient vomit bags and after the fasten seat belt light turned off, they allowed him to move seats in order to sit closer to the bathrooms. While this was a very difficult journey for him, the crew made it slightly more bearable."

The plane was very dirty - trash in between the seat 4. The food was the worst I ever tried on the plane 5. I was very surprised at the very disappointing service. I must say, with all the travel I do, apart from 1 young lade, the flight attendants acted like they loathed being there. It is so disappointing especially b/c I am Canadian so it is a bit embarrassing that Air Canada seems to have such terrible service. 6. The flight attendants were out of a lot of things, I heard them mention several beverages they were out of throughout the flight. I also heard them say that there will be no hot beverages while seatbelt sign is on (which it was a lot). I guess that is reasonable, however, it is the first time I have encountered that on the place. Instead they directed to passengers to come up to the back of the plane to get a hot beverage when the seatbelt sign was off. I did a few times - 1st time they said they were out of cups and to stop by later. But 2nd time had the cups. Did these cups get magically delivered midair or perhaps maybe they just needed to bring cups from the storage on the place and could have given me an option to wait while they retrieve them. 2nd time when I stopped by to try to get a hot beverage, a lady with black hair just gave me an empty cup. The whole experience with this flight was confusing - some attendants seemed not to understand fully what passengers were asking."

Contras: "if i knew the name of the man i talked to at checkin i would make a complaint specifically about him. i lost my passport a few days before coming home and went to the united states consulate where they told me to bring a printed copy of my passport and the united states boarding patrol would let me back into the united states. the man at the checkin didn't want to let me through to even speak to the united states border patrol and told me the consulate was wrong. i almost missed my flight because of his stubborn arrogance. once past him i was able to explain what happened and show what identification I had and everyone was very nice to me."

Contras: "I was sent to Frankfurt because Air Canada messed up my flight. When I got to Frankfurt, they had booked me on a lufthansa flight. When I got to the gate to get a boarding pass, the person told me that Air Canada had not paid them for the flight and unless they were able to contact them before boarding the plane, I would not be able to get in. They were able to do so right before boarding. The plane from Frankfurt was over one hour late. I was supposed to arrive in Lyon at 10:35am and got there at 7:30pm. Throughout all this ordeal, Air Canada staff members were mostly unhelpful and often rude."

However you are getting hit at the back end after you make your booking. Just about everyone travels with a bag to ship. After having to Leave fort Mcmurray due to loosing our home we had to pay an extra fee to ship three bags. It does not do much for the image of Air Canada be a leader in the industry and be up front all the way."
Contras: "We waited nearly two hours AFTER WE BOARDED THE PLANE for a flat tire to be changed, or so we were told. In typical airline fashion, we were told several times that the delay would probably take about 15 minutes, turning into nearly 2 hours. In combination with the change I described above and the 9.5 hour flight to Tokyo, we were completely done in for 2-3 days after we got to Tokyo."

I had an issue with my tv screen and was not able to use the in flight entertainment I am very dissatisfied with such poor care and professionalism from your staff. This was something that should not have taken 45 min to get solved and even worse despite the call light being on multiple flight attendants walked by and did not even bother to question why the call light was on"

I got it on my way back to Bamako. Nobody was even able to even trace my luggage or respond professionally on the phone. Out of hundreds of calls I made to them, they only picked up twice. ET screwed my honeymoon that I had planned for over a year. I'm so dissapointed that I don'y even want to claim reimbursement."
Contras: "Office in Bamako and apperently even in Nairobi never picks up the phone ! The only time they picked up (in Nairobi) they were rude!"
Prós: "I have only flown one better airline.....Emirates. The crew service was unbelievable. Wonderful experience. I have a new primary international travel carrier!"
Contras: "old, uncomfortable plane with no entertainment system. miserable experience"
Prós: "Free entertainment! Wish they worked with gogo to purchase WiFi though. Bathrooms are roomier than other airplanes! I’m glad the crew gave me the sandwich even though I was sleeping."
Contras: "One of the toilet covers wouldn’t stay up so you had to hold it while going. Paper towels would be nicer than tissue paper. Wasn’t able to use my boarding pass from my phone, waste of paper. Ginger ale would be a nice drink. Didn’t find a list of their drinks in magazine, that would make it easier. Whenever I needed to use the restroom they locked us out a lot whether for head count or re fueling."

Contras: "Food was served to passengers from seat row 30 and beyond very late. About twenty minutes to landing In Addis so passengers were forced to gulp the food Hurrying which is not comfortable"

Prós: "After I bought the tickets then they cancelled three or of the fire legs and have me over night flights, who does that? There was no storm, no earthquake, why? I'll never Vik with them again. And, weeks later I'm still trying to get my money back, over a thousand dollars lost to an unprofessional airline."

Contras: "The person at the check in counter initially gave me a different seat than the one I chose online but changed it after I asked for the same seat I had selected online, hone of the worst seats on theplanee also changed my seat for the addis ababa to manila leg without my knowlege and gave me one of the worst seats on the plane. Ruined the trip for me"
Contras: "Other travelers kept walking through our aisle, which was not an aisle. Therefore I was constantly getting bumped in the middle of the night waking me up. This area needs to be roped off to make other passengers walk around as to not disturb people sitting in that row. I arrived at my destination completely exhausted due to lack of sleep. Ethiopian Air provides horrible service."
