Restrições de entrada
O Japão permite a entrada de estrangeiros que precisam se mudar para o Japão para estudar, trabalhar ou se juntar à família, sujeito aos requisitos de visto necessários. Residentes do Japão com status de “Residente Permanente”, “Cônjuge ou Filho de Cidadão Japonês”, “Cônjuge ou Filho de Residente Permanente” ou “Residente de Longo Prazo” que partiram do Japão com Permissão de Reentrada até 2 de abril de 2020 podem voltar a entrar no país, mesmo que tenham estado em um dos países acima. A partir de 1º de setembro, esses viajantes também precisarão se inscrever na embaixada ou consulado japonês mais próximo para receber uma “Carta de confirmação de reentrada” e podem precisar fornecer um resultado de teste PCR na chegada. Verifique as recomendações do governo japonês sobre esse processo no site do Ministério das Relações Exteriores.
Cidadãos da China com passaportes emitidos na província de Hubei ou na província de Zhejiang não podem entrar no país, a menos que possam provar que não estiveram nessas províncias nos últimos 14 dias.
Os viajantes que estavam no navio de cruzeiro ‘Westerdam’ não podem entrar no país, a menos que sejam cidadãos japoneses.
Cidadãos japoneses, seus cônjuges e filhos que possam apresentar prova, viajantes com Autorizações de Residência Permanente Especial com autorizações de reentrada de um oficial de imigração regional e militares dos EUA ainda podem entrar no país.
Os viajantes e tripulantes de companhias aéreas que estiveram em qualquer um dos países listados até agora nos últimos 14 dias devem enviar um questionário de quarentena e passar por um teste PCR na chegada.
Regras especiais se aplicam a tripulantes de companhias aéreas que entram no Japão. Os membros da tripulação devem enviar questionários de quarentena e declarações de “Plano de estadia no Japão”. As tripulações devem seguir as instruções fornecidas no documento de quarentena "Aviso: Para tripulações embarcando em veículos de áreas sujeitas a quarentena reforçada." As companhias aéreas devem providenciar veículos fretados (em oposição ao transporte público) para transportar as tripulações entre o aeroporto e o hotel, e garantir que as tripulações cumpram as outras regras durante sua estada no Japão.

Requisitos de entrada
Todos os viajantes, incluindo cidadãos japoneses, devem apresentar um resultado negativo do teste PCR para COVID-19 emitido até 72 horas do horário de partida do voo.
Cidadãos e residentes japoneses também devem assinar e enviar um Juramento por escrito ao entrar no Japão. Residentes no Japão com autorização de reentrada devem ter um atestado médico com resultado negativo no teste do Coronavírus (COVID-19). O certificado deve ser em inglês e o teste deve ter sido feito no máximo 72 horas antes da partida e o método de coleta de amostra deve ser 'swab nasofaríngeo' ou 'saliva'. Requisitos de quarentena
Os viajantes japoneses e residentes que chegam do Reino Unido ou da África do Sul estão sujeitos a um auto-isolamento de 3 dias em um local designado pelo chefe da estação de quarentena. No terceiro dia, eles devem fazer o teste COVID-19 novamente. Se o teste for negativo, eles poderão continuar com o auto-isolamento de 14 dias conforme estabelecido abaixo. Além disso, eles devem se comprometer a manter as informações de localização e instalar um aplicativo de confirmação de contato COVID-19 (COCOA) ao entrar no Japão. Todos os viajantes que entram no Japão, incluindo cidadãos japoneses, residentes e cidadãos com dupla nacionalidade, devem fazer um teste PCR no aeroporto e se isolar por 14 dias em um local designado (como um hotel ou residência própria). Contras: "plane from Prague to Philly is ancient, still has the drop-down screens from 1981 and the radio station dial for listening in, but that didn't even matter as the video system was down for half the flight. No electrical charging capability unless you carry a car adapter with you. Overhead space was tiny. At least they had headrests, which is weird since the seats are obviously 30+ years old. Business class and first have been upgraded with new features."

Contras: "We selected seats together as a couple but the seats on the flight were separated. Customer service could not help but asked us to make arrangement with the person between us. The same seating arrangement happened on our return flight 18 days later. Once again was told nothing could be done. I really do not know why both flights the seat assigment were wrong when selected basic on the aircraft configuration. The airline is attempt to make the passenger to pay more for seats."
Contras: "The last cabin was very packed and almost there was no available seat. However, the front cabin was not crowded but a cabin attendant didn’t let me move to other seat at the front cabin even though I was sick and coughing a lot."
Prós: "This was the best in flight crew I’ve experienced in economy class. They were efficient, friendly & humorous! Keep up the great work! They made flying in not so comfortable seats bearable."

It's called customer service. I understand things happen that are out of our control, I also understand what it is to help make people whole or happy."

Departure and arrival were as stated, maybe a few minutes over, but it is not like JAL can control the weather. Great experience overall!"
Contras: "It would be nice to get complimentary wifi access, even if it's for a total usage time of 30 minutes, to text/email loved ones about departure and arrival. Still have good access options."

Prós: "My seat changed by a crew when I boarded on the plane and I thought that was rude but then I realized that all the row seats were empty. The newest airplane was clean, nice and had a cool entertainment system. All the crews were very friendly, nice and outstanding customer service especially one of the elder crews (Asian man) was very attentive and caring about all passengers. I hope he will be on the board for my return."

Contras: "The lack of space on such a long flight was painful, and there wasn't much opportunity to stretch my legs. I was also seated across from a woman who didn't realize how stupid it was to bring a toddler on a 12 hour flight, and he screamed pretty much the entire time. I couldn't sleep at all and not even headphones drowned it out. That part wasn't really the airline's fault though, and I could see that the flight attendants were asking her several times to get her son to quiet down. I just wish there were regulations on these sorts of situations. Everyone around you suffers when you bring a small child on a very long flight because they will inevitably be bored, cranky and uncomfortable, and because we are confined to our seats, we are forced to suffer through it all. I wish that children under a certain age would not be allowed to board flights over a certain length of time except for special circumstances."

I arrived to the LAX airport on time today and due the misdirection of the ticket attendant I wasn’t able to select a seat, which I tried to do online approx 24 hours ahead of time but the site was not working or down. I’m a larger person with spinal impairments and unfortunately I was given a middle seat. This will undoubtedly cause significant pain during and after this long flight. I’m very displeased with this and I would like to request a credit or like compensation for my trouble and suffering. Advance thanks for your understanding. "

Prós: "The gate at the Chicago airport was well designed. There was a line for each boarding group, and you could line up early. This is particularly effective for some Asian flights, which can sometimes be chaotic with many different nationalities all lining up."
