The seats are far more comfortable and larger, the amount of legroom is far superior, you have much more personal space, and the craft is cleaner. Flight Attendants are fantastic! They provide excellent personal care, and are there for everything. They are supremely polite and courteous, and bring things in mediately. Very often anticipating your needs. This is what flying used to be like on United and American. But those people have completely forgotten what service is. Qatar is a 5 star airline. United and American, to my view, are 2 star at best."

The in-flight entertainment had a pretty impressive selection and had one of the best-designed interfaces I've seen so far (and I've ridden a variety of airlines). Last and most important, the food was hands down the BEST I've had on a plane. Turkish is killing it, they're my new go-to airline!"

Prós: "It was a 12 or 13 hour flight and except for sitting too much we were never uncomfortable. The service level made me think we were back in the 80's. Hot towels, attentive service, tons of food and free drinks. There was actually one meal that we would have eaten even if it wasn't on a plane. They gave out full size blankets and pretty fluffy pillows. (I bring our own anymore, because you never know if you will get one on most airlines, and if you do they're usually useless). Their entertainment system was amazing. We caught up on all the recently released movies that we've wanted to see for FREE! If only Netflix had this quality of movie offerings. They had fresh flowers in the huge bathrooms. It's that type of attention to detail you just really don't see anymore."

The flight attendants hardly ever brings you water or juices and alcohol is not free of charge for an intercontinental flight. We got took off late cause of the weather but we were all safe."

Contras: "There was an abusive passenger sitting behind me that kicked my chair the entire flight. They were angry that they didn't have more space and that I wanted to have my seat back. I offered to put it up during meal times to make sure they had enough space but that wasn't good enough. The crew knew what was happening and tried to get the other passenger to stop but the passenger persisted. The crew refused to upgrade me even though I had paid for an aisle seat and there were no other aisle seats available for me to move to. I find this service unacceptable. I probably won't be willing to fly BA again as they obviously care more about money than ensuring their customers are comfortable."

Prós: "Expensive, tight seats, They now charge extra if you want to sit by the window. Mediocre."
Contras: "They lost my luggage. Avoid this airline like the plague. Never again."

Moqueca was flavored Boarding was very confused, we bought premium economy, on advertising we could check-in on business class, no specific line for business or economic, only separated line for first clas"
Prós: "Seats were nice and enjoyed the entertainment. Late flight meant loads of open seats and everyone was very happy about that."
Contras: "Delayed a half hour to board because flight attendants other flight was late getting in, but they kept us informed the entire time. Wasn’t their faults. Once we were on the plane, our flight was delayed for an hour, once again the pilots kept us informed and it wasn’t their faults. But it was kinda annoying."
Prós: "Upon learning that our flight was delayed, the flight attendants brought out snacks and water right away."
Contras: "They started a movie, then restarted the same one an hour into it. After it ended, they played a second movie and cut it off half way to show other programming. Who would bother with a movie knowing only a part of it is being shown? That is disrespectful of our time. Boarding was a mess- everyone at once, most bags put below with luggage even though most overhead compartments were empty."
Prós: "AA is always on time! Love the premium economy!"
Contras: "Today’s flight was extremely cold. Almost everyone in the plan was under the covers at some point."
Prós: "Entertainment options"

Prós: "Plenty of overhead storage. Loved USB and AC outlets. Comfortable and expeditious trip."
Contras: "Inboard video sound system stunk. Movie audio was inaudible, particularly dialog, and to make matters worse, choosing subtitles obliterated the rest of the audio. Love Cayman but departure gates are crowded and chaotic."
Prós: "The crew was very polite and cordial throughout the entire process."
Contras: "Why can't the crews in in LGA communicate with the passengers during the boarding process like at other airports so that it won't be a mad mob press to get on the plane. The gate agent using the PA didn't or couldn't enunciate, and folks just 15 feet away were asking what she said."
Prós: "Entertainment, crew"
Contras: "Several flights were delayed and canceled on last minute."
Contras: "Was informed when we checked in that the flight we had purchased did not exists. We were informed thatcher would have to wait 24hours (after an already 7 hour layover) to catch another flight to Los Angeles. After debating with customer servinge several times and being forced to wait in line after being told things were fixed several time we had to threaten to record conversations and had someone call American Airlines headquarters and finally was able to get in the flight the same night. We at work be point were laughed at by an American Airlines customer service professional. I had purchased upgraded seats since I’m over 6 feet tall and they were not able to accommodate on the new flight, the flight was horrible and I had ton stand up every hour to make I the whole 12 hours."
Prós: "On-time departure from PHL; on-time arrival in RIC, my checked bag was on the flight."
Prós: "The only decent point was the food. Not great but at least edible."
Contras: "Since check in in São Paulo was a complete chaos. There were only 2 people helping on check in (in machines) and these people were still not helping people (like me) with questions about on how to do check in in those machines. On the other hand to dispatch the bags there were almost 8 attendants to receive the bags. Ridiculous! I’ve tried calling American Airlines and Latam several times to assign a seat for me and they swore there were only middle seats but I know how airlines work to make extra money on these seats. At the end, they only gave me a middle seat option and I had to take I.t of course. On the plane I realized there were dozens of empty seats and yet they made sure not give them to me or anyone else. Unbelievable! Unfortunately I still have to use AA on my way back to Brazil. After this, I’ll chose another airlines for sure. Also, the 3,4,3 arrangement is ridiculous: there’s no corridor space making people touching you everything someone passes by your seat. And boy! Those seats are so uncomfortable and there’s no way to incline the chair so you can even have a little rest (because it’s impossible to even sleep on those seats). The crew were simply doing their jobs! No pleasure! No smile! No engaging with anyone unfortunately! They looked miserable and I asked for water and the flight attendant NEVER brought me anything. Seriously! Water is free!"

Contras: "I understand some delays can occur due to tecnical problems and most of the times they are out of control but negative issues related to communications they are controllable and they must be reviewed and implemente properly."
Prós: "Lots of movie options."
Contras: "I didn't like anything else about the flight. My seat was broken and the seats are incredibly cramped! Absolutely no leg room whatsoever. I am 6 feet tall which is an average male height so I can't imagine how anyone taller fits in those seats."
Contras: "Delay. Old airplane with sewer smell in back. Not a great experience."
Prós: "Customer service good. Offered food/service quickly."
Contras: "Film selection was subpar, and had no subtitles available. Flight safety information video so unbelievably boring. Flight crew repeated all instructions at least 3 times including video interruptions. What is the point of having in flight entertainment if crew will interrupt said entertainment at least once every 10 min to remind you you are still in turbulent air? Do they honestly think the passengers forgot? We are in the plane too! I understand they have to be careful due to liability but this airline is ridiculous. Believe it or not customers do not like being treated like children. Would not recommend to others or fly this airline again. Also, the lunch was awful even by airline standards. Btw the airline was avianca not AA. kayak must have messed up or they are owned by AA. AA is great and I recommend them wholeheartedly but Avianca is awful. Stay away if you can afford to do so."
Contras: "Plane interior was really dirty"
Prós: "plenty of leg room. very little turbulence. fight staff was very professional. staff was very responsive to assist me in finding my passport which I had left on the plane after I had left the plane and gotten to my connecting flight."
Contras: "I wasn't pleased with the snacks. I recommend changing to different snack options; perhaps fruit snacks or nuts."
Prós: "Slept very well in business. Great crew!"
Contras: "I did not fly I lost my flight they had a problem with the airplane on my flight from brasilia to sao paulo so I arrived late lost the connection to my other flight from Sao Paulo to LAX. Also they lost my luggage. LATAM and American Air Lines doesnt know where my luggage is. I arrived at my LAX 12 hours after. They still dont know where my luggage is"
Contras: "I had my reservation cancelled despiste numerous phone calls. The flight was operated by AA, and they told me I wasn't on the flight, but after many phone calls LATAN assured me I was booked on the flight. When I got to the airport, I was not allowed to board my direct flight from GRU to LAX, instead I was sent to Miami then Charlestown , I took me an extra 12 hours to get home. I lost a day of work. Who's going to reimburse me for that ???"
Prós: "Electrical outlets. Comfortable seats."

Contras: "The boarding check-in person was confusing. Anyone that didn't speak Spanish got in the wrong line. They didn't announce that there were two lines, one for A and one for B. So we were mistakenly directed to stand in the line for a Madrid flight, when we were going to Lisbon. They made the last minute call only in Spanish, so we all almost missed the flight. The landing was a bit rough with crosswinds."
Prós: "Food and staff"
Prós: "The staff was kind and polite and the flight was on time and without occurrences. The entertainment was good."
Contras: "The seats were really uncomfortable, the food was just ok and they did not advertise the shrimps to the allergics, the beverages were rare for a flight so long, so we got headaches and dehydration. The price to dispatch the luggage and to book the seats in advance was insanely expensive!"
Contras: "I paid to select my seats which were 2 window and two aisle seats. I was assigned 2 aisle and 2 middle seats. I paid extra to acoid middle seats and I would like a refund."
Contras: "Very salty food. Flight was delayed so I almost missed my connecting flight."
Prós: "First off I'd never heard of this airline but that was ok because we (group travel) were originally booked on another aiine I'd never heard if before either called Nirwegian. Well less than 24 hrs before we were scheduled to fly out, the exact same day, they cancel our flight! After a lot of phone calls and wait times we were booked onto TAP AIR PORTUGAL. Easy check in, my carry on was great, entertainment was on point, food was good (first European trip), crew was nice, plane was huge; just a good experience overall. I will definitely fly with them again."
Contras: "The flight was oversold and we got bumped off with 20 other passengers even though we had all booked months in advance. I’m still not in Marrakech, now a flight to New Jersey. I’m so sad and it’s my wedding anniversary."

Surprisingly TAP told me that they could pay the hotel in Newark, but not in Lisbon.. Go figure! Called TAP Customer Service 4 times, 2 from Lisbon 2 from Newark... all cases more than 1 hour wait... AND THEY NEVER EVER ANSWERED!?!?!"
Contras: "You can't reach them via phone and they are horrifically slow and difficult to get ahold of."
Prós: "Friendly staff"
Contras: "The food was only for meat eaters and not very Good. Would have liked a vegetarian option."

Our return flight into Boston arrived early enough to allow us to get an earlier flight home but TAP customer service wasn't open until after the earlier flight departed. Also, Jet Blue, the domestic carrier, could not change our flight because it was booked through TAP."

Contras: "They cancelled the flight, losted the baggage and couldn't help to resolve the problem. They also lied about the flight they wanted to replace to solve the problem which even didn't exist in their company. So, I will never ever take the flight from this compound again."
Contras: "The sizing device is much smaller than it needs to be for carry on roller bags. My bag was forced to be checked by the ground crew on this Tap flight. My bag is a normal sized carry on bag that has always fit on all flights. There was plenty of space on the aircraft for it. The ground crew also let others on with larger bags so they dont even apply their policy in a consistent manner. I will do my best to avoid TAP from now on."
Prós: "The ride was comfortable, and the crew was attentive and pleasant. I loved the fact that i had a 10 hour layover, and I could go out into the city and do some sight seeing. This is not to the Airlines credit per say, but it was super easy. I enjoyed getting off on the tarmac just 200 feet from the building, was a nice sunny day."
Contras: "The seats did not have entertainment system that I wasn't going to watch anyways. The seats did not have charging ports either (for phone or laptop), which several airlines now a days are making standard."

Contras: "Our tickets said our flight was at 11. We got to the airport two hours early but found out our flight was actually at 10 (they wouldn't let us to try to make it). The airline didn't take into account / adjust the local time when we booked. Multiple customers experienced the same issue. We had to buy tickets on another airline."

I understand fully the imperatives for security, However it would be nice if there were some way to signal passengers that they might want to get to the gate early...... Fortunately I'd experienced it before (same flight out of Lisbon) and knew there was a good chance of a repeat...."
Prós: "Loved that seats were new and comfortable. The entertainment system was also newly updated and had plenty of options for everyone."
Contras: "Only thing I didn't like was that the airline doesn't offer wifi!"
