Contras: "Cramped, cramped, cramped!!!!! The seat pitch was just so uncomfortably short so much so that when the person in front of me reclined his seat, the TV screen was a mere 1-2 feet away from my face making it impossible to watch anything without getting crossed eyed or a headache. This unfortunate situation has influenced this review greatly particularly because this wasn’t a 2 hour flight but a long haul one."

Prós: "Attendants were very pleasant and helpful"
Contras: "The plane was extremely cramped as the seats reclined so far back that it rested on my knees. It was extremely difficult to keep my seat back up which created an uncomfortable angle for my back on a 9 hour flight. The cabin was extremely warm and there was little airflow. The airline also lost our luggage"

Contras: "the seat did not reclined, it was broke. travel with my wife on different seat my wife had a broken knee and they assigned a seat smack in the middle of the isle and she told me she almost past out because she could not move I had a passenger in the back that was kicking my seat every few minutes and I woke up every time I went to sleep"

Prós: "Service and food were good considering it was "plane food". No delay whatsoever."
Contras: "Black box under the front seat. No room for legs. Seat blocked in lower position, impossible to make it stay in upper position. Entertainment wasn't working good: extremely laggy when it was working ... Seats are way too short. You got the neck support into the upper back ... And I am only 1.80m. Overall, I am done with Swiss until they upgrade their planes. Wifi was 99usd for 220 mo ... what a joke. A 20+yo plane for a such reputated company. There was still the ashtrays inside the restrooms."

Contras: "Horrible boarding and check-in. I fly internationally for business. This by far and away was the worst experience ever. There were 2 parts to our travels. Flight from Dusseldorf to Zurich, then Zurich to Los Angeles. in Dusseldorf, SWISS oversold the plane by 25 passengers. It was unbelievable, SWISS was randomly determining who would not fly and miss their other connecting flights in Zurich. It was by shear luck that we were able to keep our original reservation. SWISS needs to realize that this type of problem is serious. I can't imagine every flying SWISS again."

Contras: "Economy seats in business. Also baby strollers took ages to come out at Heathrow, should have come to the door, but instead came at baggage claim about half an hour after our baggage, so pretty poor service in that aspect"

Prós: "Air hostesses were very courteous, friendly and the cabin was clean and comfortable. My flight from jfk to Geneva (then Zurich) was cancelled due to weather in Geneva (Swiss 23) so I got upgraded to a delta flight to Brussels then to Zurich Comfort+ !!! Thank you!"
Contras: "Flight from Zurich to Johannesburg: Swiss 288 (airbus a340-300) Sat in the last row of the Swiss air flight, economy, which was okay but our whole row video enternatinment system didn’t work. You’d pick a movie and it wouldn’t play. The games, camera and flight status animation all worked but not the movies. Air hostess tried resetting , still nothing. But it was a great opportunity to have a lovely conversation with my new German Friend Barbara and read my book! More lactose intolerant alternatives for breakfast which had much (cheese, yogurt, croissant) Other than those two , excellent flight. Thank you Swiss!"

Contras: "See comment above. Zurich airport transfer desk was not staffed by Swiss air staff. Made resolution of missed flight more difficult. Also was not informed till I checked in at San Francisco that my bag would probably not arrive at the time I arrived in Geneva."

Prós: "By far the worst experience I've ever had in my life. 1. A day after I perches a multi destination tickets I called Swiss air costumer service requesting to upgrade my tickets to business class. no one would even try to help me. They just kept saying I need to contact my travel agent. After 3 phone calls I gave up and decided to wait and upgrade my ticket at the airport. 2. In Prague the night before my second flight I hurt my knee real bad to a point that I couldn't walk at all. The next morning I call Swiss air costumer service again trying to explain them my situation telling them I can't fly and won't be able to make it to my flight. Costumer service cancelled immediately all of my remaining tickets and try to sell me new tickets for a full price. I said I don't mind buy and pay for the one flight I missed but there is no reason for her to re sell me the rest of my tickets that I already paid for, again. Then she start to change prices up and down like in a Chinese flea market. At that point I begged her to talk to a supervisor but she Kept ignoring my request and just try to negotiat for a lower charg she kept me on the phone for 5 hours. My hotel phone bill for that one call cost me 150€. I never got to talk to a supervisor but she took down the charge to 517$ Not included a new ticket flying out of Prague. 3. For my last flight going home. I showed up 2.5 hours Earlier. asking to upgrade my sit to business fin desk send me to talk to asupervisor. The supervisor was trying to process my request but didn't seem to know what he was doing at all. One minute he was on his computer then the next minute on the phone with Swiss air headquarter then back on his computer for more then 35 minutes with no resolute. I still had an hour and half before take off when he told me he can print me the ticket but it's to late now since the gate for my flight is close and I already missed my flight. I said that's impossible cause I still have an hour and half to my flight but he insist on the gate been close and there is no way I can get on that flight. Right away I run back to front desk asking them to print my ticket as fast as possible cause I would really like to get on that flight. In front desk they told me not to worry cause I got plenty of time to get on that flight. So I gave up on the business upgrade and told them that at that point I'll be just as happy to sit by the window. Of course they put me on the very end exactly in the middle. After the door was locked I looked around and saw plenty of free sits available including by the window. 4. In Zurich I finally managed to upgrade my last flight coming back to Tampa fl to business and noticed that the only way they could do that was by contacting Swiss air headquarter for approval. When I asked why is that since I fly a lot and never seen anything like that before one of the lady's there told how Swiss air left all of their front desk powerless and all decisions must be made by headquarters."
Contras: "When we finally arrived in Tampa. It hook them an hour and a half to get are bags out. I honestly doubt I'll ever fly Swiss airlines again. Ever. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had flying. Ps the crew on the plain ware a lot nicer and more professional the people on the ground."

Contras: "in NY they would not give me a seat/ boarding pass for this flight - they said i had to get one only in zurich. by the time they gave me one in zurich - it was a middle seat and there were no other seats available. i was totally squished in between 2 men [ i am a female] and the seats were sooo small and there was absolutely no room. i was totally uncomfortable and had to sit like this for 4 hours... i did not like this AT ALL"

Contras: "They trick u, from one way the take ur carry on when u come back they say u have to pay for it. The person that were giving me boarding pass she was very mean she asked a guy the guy was tottaly stupid he was acting like he is the owner of swiss airline"

Prós: "I cannot check in online for us flights so I need to get my seat at the check in. I am flying with swiss every month between Zürich and New York but a lot of Ines I get a shitty seat even if I am silver status As a frequent flyer I expect a priority handling which is not the case . No upgrade poaaibility due to wrong booking class (even if flights are very expensive) if this continues to go that way I will change airline alliance This is more a miles and more issue but it is really annoying me in a way that I really consider changin"

Contras: "The delay of almost 40 minutes was extremely uncofortable, once I had a connection to Brazil"

Contras: "Once again, I paid extra to select my seats and once again they did not honor that. I paid extra for an aisle and a window seat and we were put in that horrid middle seat area. The video/television screens in our row were broken the entire flight. The attendants kept telling us they would be fixed soon and they never were. There was one attendant who was nice and the rest were rude and unhelpful. We arrived in Boston 2 1/2 hours late. Terrible experience."
