It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc. Also I requested help with transfer to my last flight which was horrendous because I’m one adult with 4 kids ages 1 to 11 and my eldest has sever learning disability. I nearly missed my flight because our flight landed late and I was struggling to keep my kids safe and together while running for the next flight. Somone should have been there to help with transfer."

She has to eat just fruits. My mother is a diabetic patient and she needs a food every after some time. I never had such a bad experience before with any other airlines."

I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

For a twelve hour flight, the food was only Okay, could have been better and with a better selection. Meal timing was poor."

Contras: "The only complaint I have regarding my most recent flight was the incredibly rude service staff whom we experienced at the front counter at check-in. After a harrowing cab ride to the airport in which our driver continuously ignored my request to follow the GPS insisting that he knew faster shortcuts, we arrived 40 minutes later than intended. Additionally he dropped us off at the wrong terminal such that we finally arrived at the KLM gate an hour later than we had planned. This was especially frustrating as we are traveling with two small children and made every effort to be punctual and leave early to be sure we got there with time to spare. Not the case today. All of that I could deal with, but when we arrived at the KLM counter, and I apologized to the attendant staff member that we were late and explained that our cab driver got lost, she responded by chastising us first in Spanish and then in broken English. She made sure to make it clear to us that it was our fault and we should not blame the Argentinian cabdriver. The cabdriver was not actually Argentinian, but that is totally besides the point. I was totally taken aback to be treated so rudely as a greeting at the airline counter. My wife share the same sentiment. Nothing like this has ever happened to us before. Thank God, every single airport personnel and of course KLM staff member on board was incredibly kind and accommodating of our children subsequent to this. It saved what otherwise could've been a terrible experience."

Someone didn't want to or forgot to turn the AC on. It tool at least over an hour to make it comfortable. - The entertainment choices are very limited and the screens don't work well."

Contras: "There was an abusive passenger sitting behind me that kicked my chair the entire flight. They were angry that they didn't have more space and that I wanted to have my seat back. I offered to put it up during meal times to make sure they had enough space but that wasn't good enough. The crew knew what was happening and tried to get the other passenger to stop but the passenger persisted. The crew refused to upgrade me even though I had paid for an aisle seat and there were no other aisle seats available for me to move to. I find this service unacceptable. I probably won't be willing to fly BA again as they obviously care more about money than ensuring their customers are comfortable."

Prós: "Amazing punctuality, both on the way out to Lisbon and on the return to London."

Contras: "Our flight in Lisbon was scheduled to board an hour before departure. We arrived on-time, went through the line and were then placed in a standing room only area to stand and wait for another 45 minutes before boarding. We were placed near the entrance (I thought to board early as a family) but were later told to join another line when we asked why we sere just standing and waiting while other passengers were walking past us. The communication between staff and between your staff and passengers was poor."
Contras: "The hot dish of meat and rice was not that great, the meat was hard and the rice not tasty."
Prós: "all staf in airport pleasant and quickly to across other place to connect"
Contras: "a lot of people they pass by preference, and late for star Alliance"
Contras: "3:30 hrs delay lost my convection no one to talk to or any help they gave me nothing I had to stay overnight at my expense n pay new ticket hotel food taxi etc nobody will help or respond for anything"
Prós: "The flight itself was good."
Contras: "The only thing that I felt was not appropriate was that they made me check in my carry-on at the gate. Apparently, the airline requested 55 passengers to check their carry-on bags...but they just selected the first people who were closest to the gate. I purposely did not check a bag because I had limited time to make a train connection at my final destination, plus I had to go thru customs and I knew that in itself would be time consuming. I explained this to the airline staff, but they did not care. I think they should have first asked for volunteers; and if still needed, then randomly select people to check in the carry-on. Also they only were making people with the “suitcase” carry-on to check them in....anyone with a duffle-looking bag was not even bothered. Luckly, I’m mange to make my train connection, but I was running to do this...not fun at all."
Prós: "Everything went according to the timetable, boarding was on-time and we even arrived a bit earlier than scheduled, so I can't really fault the service of the pilots, the cabin crew or the ground operations team. Food wasn't exactly stellar, but clearly a lot better than on most European flights operated by larger companies (Lufthansa, KLM, Air France etc.). The aircraft itself was clean and looked fairly new and well maintained"
Contras: "The seating was absolutely HORRENDOUS. Even though I'm nearly 6'3" (close to 1.90m), I generally never complain about seating space or legroom, even on low cost flights. This particular TAP aircraft, however, despite looking quite new, had some of the most cramped seating ever. Additionally, the trays were minuscule (you could barely place the entire food tray the service during the flight, let alone have another drink at the same time on the tray). Also, on the inbound flight (this was the return one), the seats were fitted with a very simple and clever tablet-holding mechanism, so you could easily watch something on your table while eating your food (from a similarly small tray table). The seat back pockets do not have any material/fabric on the sides, so stored items could easily slip out sideways from the pocket. Shame to have such a good in flight service and to be a punctual airline if you're going to carry your passengers cramped like cattle in seats 'rivalling' the ones on Ryanair flights on 4-hour long journeys."

Contras: "The hospitality of the airline crew is very poor as they are extremely rude to their customers. The planes I flew on were very out of date and not comfortable for international travel. I have flown on many airlines, but these planes were by far the worst. Cheap price, for a reason. The seats didn’t recline, the food was terrible, no options were given for food, and the movies were pre-picked. No one had a choice in what they watched. Very outdated. I had 2.5 hours to board my connecting flight and they caused me to miss it. As I waited in the customs line entering Lisbon, I asked a TAP representative if I’d have to get out of the line up and go right through as my flight left at 2:10 pm. They said you will make it, stay in line. I get near the front of the line 2 hours later... hundreds of people were in this line and they only had 2/10 customs agents available!!! I ask another representative how far my gate is since my flight leaves in 30 min and she told me “no you missed it. but don’t worry others will be missing it too”. So no I did not miss it, you caused me to miss it cause I already asked if I would and you people told me no. I run to the gate, which has now changed to the other end of the airport, so I run to that gate and it is 10 min before the flight is to take off. I ask the desk agent at the gate and he tells me the flight has already left. Others had missed it too due to the insane customs line up. So the plane left 20 mins earlier than scheduled with only half it’s passengers..... unbelievable!!! When I went to the service desk they did not show any sympathy or apologetic behaviours whatsoever."

You can't have that in an enclosed space. In this day and age of so many people having food allergies to nuts, why would you serve a dessert with almonds?? My daughter almost ate it because there was no warning label. It scares me to think what might have happened at 12,000 feet."
Prós: "The on-board entertainment was decent, as they had pretty recent films available to view. The on-flight attendants were very friendly and professional."
Contras: "I'm an average sized skinny male (5'11"/ 180 cm), and I almost literally couldn't fit in my seat. These airlines are doing everything save on costs by jamming as many people as possible onto an aircraft...this makes for a terribly uncomfortable 12hr long red-eye flight. The food was mediocre at best (my gf actually got sick from it), and the boarding process was anything but organized, allowing anyone to board at any given time. It was very hectic and took far too long."
Contras: "They damaged one of my bags and lost the other one. Bad service, really old planes and seats were to small; mind you I was traveling in business class. Over all a horrible airline"

Contras: "The crew was rude, after 5 hours they seemed annoyed when I asked for water and gave me half a cup after I had just finished vomitting due to all the swaying of the aircraft. While we were landing, we came over the runway maybe 100 feet off the ground then jetted back up and circled around the airport for 20 minutes before landing horribly...with NO explaination. Everyone started vomitting because the landing (both times) were so horrible. Our first flight was late, we landed when the second was 'closing the doors', they never updated the monitors or informed the crew that the second plane was also delayed (by over an hour), so we rushed through customs and ran through the airport only to discover they hadn't even started boarding yet, even though the screen said it had departed. Completely disorganized."
Prós: "Primera vez que viajo con ellos, mi hice y la verdad que quedamos gratamente impacta dos! La atención excelente, inclusive nos habían dado en Zurich los puestos separados ( viajábamos mi esposo y yo) y sin decir nada, nos llamaron y nos cambiaron de puesto , para estar juntos, la comida excelente y la atención del personal impecable!!el"
Contras: "El vuelo Lisboa a Milán y el de Zurich a Lisboa, no tuvieron la misma calidad, ni de avión ni de atención...pero a Miami excelente!!"

Prós: "The Rio de Janeiro international airport is very difficult to traverse. However, the airport staff was very helpful in directing me several times to the correct location."
Contras: "United needs a check-in kiosk located between the domestic arrivals section and the international connection hallway just before security. I had to walk to the complete length of the airport and back again, just to check-in. Other airlines, such as Delta, have a kiosk located just before the security entrance. The cabin temperature was absolutely freezing during the flight, and I am usually hot."
Contras: "Airplane was super cold. No extra blankets. Passengers freezing. Impossible to sleep."
Contras: "They switched my preselected seat, without my permission, and gave it to a flight attendant that was traveling. I dont understand why she couldn't sit one row behind my preferred seat."

Further more, the 4+ hour layover at Newark (horrible terminal) led to 6+ hours. Arrived home at the end of an 18 hour day barely functioning."

Contras: "Your staff needs to be much more strict with carry-ons. So many people getting on with more than 2 items (1 item and one personal item). It is kind of ridiculous. If a small suitcase does not fit in the overhead bin without taking all the space, people should be forced to check it. Please adhere to your own policies. Not fair to people that don't board first at all."
Prós: "I was so comfortable I slept for most of the flight. The wifi wasn't working either but overall it was a great flight."

Contras: "I paid for the insurance just in case I needed to change my flight. Well I did need to change my flight to get a few more things done before returning home. The answer I recieved when I called was that I had to pay 600 dollars for the change and then file a claim for possible reimbursement. The whole round trip flight only cost $250."

Contras: "The flight was immorally delayed by 1.5hrs. then by another half an hour. Then there were issues with boarding, which delayed us more. Then the plane was put in a holding pattern (just circling in the area) because there was too much traffic at Seattle. I understand there are many factors that affect flights, but the entire experience today left me feeling really down and disappointed, and unfortunately, annoyed."
Contras: "This flight was delayed around 3 hours."
Prós: "Absolutely nothing"
Contras: "Airplane was damaged and united wouldn't rebook us until the flight was officially cancelled hours later. Then United provided only one service person to address all of the passengers needs so we had to stand in line for a couple hours longer. Then they had no hotel rooms to put anybody up for the night that couldn't get a flight until the next day. Then they gave us a measly $10 food voucher. Then our luggage was mishandled has still has not shown up to my house. Then because of the change in flights I had to rearrange transportation home at 1130 pm that cost me an extra $125. A very miserable day because of United's lack of being proactive and poor decision making given the situation and circumstances."

Contras: "United destroyed my luggage and wouldn't pay for their mistake. I checked in the second I could (exactly 24 hours before the flight), and I was still put in boarding group 5. Because I was in boarding group 5, I had to check my back, which would have been carried on, and was subsequently destroyed by United baggage handlers. To try and rectify and complain about the luggage problem, I called United and they were completely unhelpful. Finally, the first flight was delayed and moved to a different plane, that was a total nightmare!"
Contras: "When we booked the flight it had a 2 hr layover, which we thought would be enough to transfer plans. When we arrived we had to pick up our bags to go through customs. United's method of helping customers recheck their bags is very poor. We sat an waited until the only 2 staff members working the recheck helped another customer rebook a flight they missed instead of checking bags of customers needing to catch a flight. Eventually we ended up having to run through the airport with all our bags from the international airport to the domestic airport and checking our bags in that airport because the lady's at the recheck desk didn't seem to know how to handle checking the bags in. Once we made it to the other airport and checked our bags there we had 5 minutes before boarding was going to close to make it through security and run to the terminal. Luckily, once we made it to the domestic airport the staff there was very helpful getting us on our plane. Although we did have to run to make it."
