Contras: "I am 6'4" tall. I love/need leg room. On the flight from Orlando to Sao Paulo, I purchased an exit row seat. It has the best leg room. On my return flight from Sao Paulo to Orlando, I again purchased an exit row, at the desk with an Azul person. However, when I was onboard, sitting in my purchased exit row, one of the flight personnel began creating a stir with the other flight attendants about me sitting there. Their English-speaking ability was almost none. They asked for my passport, and I didn't understand why, because I had passed all of the official reviews with it, and at the desk when I purchased the exit row seat. There was a "heated" discussion amongst all the flight attendants looking at my passport. It was returned to me, without explanation, but then later, prior to the flight leaving, they sent another flight attendant, who had very limited English-speaking ability, to tell me I could not sit in an exit row, because I was too old. I am in my 60's, they said. I am in excellent shape and could easily perform any physical requirements called upon by someone sitting in any exit row. I tried to tell the flight attendant that I had purchased the exit row seat, but he insisted I move to another seat, so not wanting to create a regrettable incident, I moved to a cramped seat elsewhere on the plane. I will NEVER fly on Azul airlines again, and will tell everyone else about how they poorly deal with English-speaking, older customers. They never offered to refund what I had paid."

Lauderdale service during the flight - Viracopos although still being finished is 100km from Sao Paulo but easily reachable by bus (LIRA) via highways Anhanguera or Bandeirantes. The traffic is significantly lighter than to Guarulhos the major airport in Sao Paulo and therefore shorter time wise. It also offers connecting flights to major Brazilian cities."

Contras: "I didn't like the fact that nobody told me that Ataturk Airport in Istanbul is so big that you can not make to connect flight on time for an hour.Especially if you flight has been late to depart like mine from Belgrade due to the rain. I thought I will make it to the connect flight to LA but the gate was already closed. I was instructed to do multiple errands, to get Turkish visa, etc all on my expense to be able to exit the transit as an American citizen and be able to take Turkish airlines bus to the hotel.The hotel was fine and the meals. The problem was that they calculate bus traveling time wrong in the hotel and put people on the bus next day too late, so due to the traffic jam, we barely made it to the airport, and then we had to stress the officials to put us on the fast passport control lane due to boarding time."

On the other hand, the extra security was also very frustrating to me because my previous Turkish Airline flight had arrived late and boarding had already started before I even got off the first plane. I just wanted to get through the gate and be done considering the big rush the delayed flight caused. Also, part of the last meal served was salmon. There were no alternatives to non-seafood eaters, but they did have enough other food on the plate, which made the situation bearable."

No water to be had. Was in the air for a full 5 hours before they brought the cart around for water/refreshments. Horrible."

The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

The entertainment system didn't work (on the whole plane, for the duration of the whole flight) - no movies and no shows. The wifi could have been offered for free to enable people to entertain themselves through computers and tablets, but was not done so. Instead we were reminded that it is available (for a price of course)."
Prós: "I liked that there was a bit more space, larger seats and only two seats (instead of 3) along both sides of the plane. The blankets and pillows were nicer than economy, and the service was impeccable, friendly and attentive. The cabin was quiet, and I was able to sleep most of the flight ,probably because I was exhausted and it was a night flight."
Contras: "We paid 370 euros to upgrade and for that amount, I wouldn't do it again. The seat comfort wasn't much better than economy, the food was exactly the same as economy -- terrible, especially because we were flying from Brazil to Paris -- so the only thing you're getting is a bit more space and less people. The movie selection was tired - or at least not my cup of tea."

Prós: "Codeshare flight. operated by Flybe. Got the job done with no fuss. This was a business booking, and I had a snack and drinks voucher included. I used these to get some tomato juice, which was good and a snack box, which contained a small piece of yoghurt bar, crackers, cheese, some nuts, dried fruit, a single mentos, and something else I can't remember. It was alright."
Contras: "The food and drink voucher system was a source of confusion for a number of other customers, including a pair who had booked through the same agency, but one seemed to get a voucher and the other did not. I realise that this is not the fault of the crew, but Flybe should ensure that their agents are clearer with what bookings include."
Prós: "Good selection of films and TV series, both old and recent. Fairly fuss free - earphones and blanket ready in seat."
Contras: "For some reason a veggie (ovo-lacto) meal means they take away the wine, cheese, bread and tiramisu and replace it with crackers and a couple of slices of fruit."

Contras: "he flight was delayed for over 3 hours On top of the delay we were on the runway for over 2 hours Our luggage was not delivered after 2 entire days. After receiving our first two bags, the third bag is not not delivered (3 days without our clothes. This is the bag we paid an additional 100.00 for. On the trip over, the entire row of seats did not have the monitors working and the light could not be turned off (bright error screen on the entire 7 hour flight. After being stuck in New York (reasons beyond Delta's control so we are understanding of that) however the Delta airport crew (3 different sources, continued to give us the wrong information resulting in us staying in the airport an additional 2 hours after everyone else had left. Finally went to a 4th person who was able to resolve the issue within 5 minutes. This was the worst flight experience in my entire 50 years on earth. The level of incompetence with some of the Delta airport staff is beyond excusable. Even after our issue was resolved, the worse two of the lot were still giving out wrong information to passengers telling them there were no hotels in ALL OF NEW YORK and they would have to stay in the airport."

Prós: "I am deaf, almost 68y. Old. They insisted to escort me to the gate, I was very happy to be escorted by a beautiful young girl. I would have been a little lost had I gone through the screening by myself. The indicated gate number was changed as well."
Contras: "They flight got delayed by 2 hours, but not in advanced. After we arrived at the airport and checked in, they apparently had issues with the plane so they had to find a different one, and then we sat waiting in the new plane until they got approved to flight, which took a long time."

Contras: "Uncomfortable spacing of seats on short flights a nightmare on long hauls. Have to assume the distance between seat and seatback ahead is now a safety issue should an emergency evac. be necessary. Had to argue over an imposed seat change despite holding a 2 hour old agent issued boarding pass. Gate agent plainly lied in claiming an equipment change was making it necessary. At start of trip (1/14), not allowed to board connection and suffered an additional 5hr. layover delay due to baggage transfer problem. No compensation of any type graciously offered for any of the inconveniences."

I am worried the same siutuation is going to take place when I fly back to sfo through Miami in a couple of days."

Sent us on a different flight. - Return flight from Cusco Bumped (+4 hrs late), promised voucher and upgrade due to all the previous issues. - Return flight out bound from Lima. Would no recognized any of the promises nor the inconveniences of the other flights and the promises. (In Lima all was denied by the land people but they kept on sending us from one person to another for over 3 hours until the final minute when all passengers where on board they said they could not do anything). Family was separated once again."

Moreover, she failed to give us copies of our boarding pass for our connecting flight from Lima to Peru. Because of her misleading, out luggage was left in Lima and we landed in Cusco without our luggage. We are still awaiting to see where our luggage is."
Contras: "Customer service at check-in desk was incompetent. Service by flight attendants was largely rude and done with a lot of deep sighing by the flight attendants as they performed food and beverage service. They did not make me want to fly this airline every again."
