Contras: "They charged 60NZD for one small checked bag! And then I misunderstood the policy on lithium batteries and switched my power banks from carry-on to checked bag and they confiscated them. So there goes that."
Prós: "The people and the service were top notch. I fly on numerous carriers and overall AirNZ has been my favorite, hands down, primarily because of the helpful kind friendly staff."
Contras: "Disembarking down onto the tarmac, and being made to stand out there for about 5 minutes (supposedly for safety's sake) while another plane was being pushed out from the next gate, all the while breathing in the choking nauseating jet exhaust fumes while our own plane was idling."

Bags coming off the flight last made the customs line very long, after going through customs couldn't find where to check our bags on to Queenstown, finally found the the automatic check-in, too late only one person to help. So late had to walk to the domestic terimal, in a hurry. Finally found the check-in, checked all 3 bags, arrived in Queenstown, only two came in."
Prós: "Purchased an exit row aisle seat - all the leg room I could ask for. Close to toilets - no odor issues. Good meals. Staff basically courteous (though not unfailingly - occasionally a tad blunt and titchy - a common experience for me on Air NZ)."
Contras: "Air NZ website states exit row seating purchase comes with priority boarding. When I asked about this at the gate counter I was told I would be seated by row number. Seems like this is a common issue with Air NZ - see e.g., skytrax website reviews. The website advertising is inaccurate if not false."

Contras: "The video system wasn't as good as say, Virgin or B.A., but it's such a small issue, compared to the superior comfort of coach in Air New Zealand to the other steerage-like coach classes."
Contras: "We were booked on a 7 a.m. flight Wednesday morning. We arrived from Syndney the night before and wanted to make sure we were set for the early morning flight so went to an Air NZ information desk to get boarding pass. The agent printed out an e-ticket and said we were good to go. We arrived an hour and a half early to the gate, with our carry on bags as we have done all over the world. We heard an announcement about bags needing to be checked and assumed ours would be gate checked if needed (as anywhere else in the world). The gate agent didn't arrive til 20 minutes before the flight and told us we DIDN'T have a boarding pass and needed to return to the ticket agent and check our bags. By the time we ran back to the ticket agent we were told it was too late to check our bags. We had to pay $100 more a piece to fly LATER through Christ Church. We were on our way to meet our kids for vacation and ended up losing a day and $200 additional dollars because we were given inaccurate information by the Air New Zealand info desk."

Would have been good if we left on time. I understand that some delays cannot be helped but there was also a delay of my flight going home to Manila. These delays made me worry about whether or not I will make it to my connecting flight or do I have to just keep running again?

Staying in a hotel is not a great option, because it takes 2 hours to get out of the airport, another 2 hours cushion to get back in time."

This made the cabin very bright and a difficult environment in which to sleep. Too much advertising before the on board videos, but otherwise content was good."

Contras: "Crew was awful. We paid a lot of money for Airport upgrade to business class because we were told economy was oversold. We were promised full business class service. On board aircraft we were not offered business class meal options as we were told they didn’t know how many people had upgraded. It was absolutely embarrassing when crew skipped us when drink and meal service were being ordered. Crew was obnoxious and dismissive about situation. Absolutely atrocious."

I've always preferred Qantas, and the service is still generally good, but someone has taken their eye off the food offering. Back from NZ it was noodles with a sauce in a cardboard box. No cheese and biscuits, no sweet. Air Tahiti/Air Cailin, etc.. give a decent meal while on International.

Prós: "Had problems with check in because of china eastern mishandling our baggage, the Quantas staff got everything sorted for us. Plenty of leg room on the flight and the cabin staff were fantastic, only thing that let it down was the food choice, but, as it was only a 3 hour flight this wasn;t really a problem. Would gladly fly with them again any time."

Demonstra falta de manutencao na aeronave e falta de preocupacao com o conforto dos clientes com estes pontos contra, sugiro buscar alternativas nas viagens a australia (air new zeland por exemplo)."

Prós: "This was AA flying for Quantas and it was all very nice; the taste of the food left something to be desired, but it was all decent portions and we were fed three times. The staff was terribly accommodating and friendly. The entertainment was top notch! The flight was smooth and was as comfortable as a 12 hour flight can be. After the hellish experience I had at both O'hare and LAX, it was a lovely way to end/begin the trip."

Contras: "limit weight of roller carry on limited to 8 kg, though did not check weight of shoulder bags New Zealand immigration is intense with bio inspection - check that you do not have any nuts or other issues as took a long time to inspect packaged food bought at Sydney airport Prior to check-in, needed evidence of flight leaving New Zealand, not just confirm number - paper with actual ticket number"
Prós: "Luckily the flight was only 3 hours"
Contras: "Most uncomfortable seat (smallest, least leg room would not recline, no padding) that I can remember. Baby not just crying but screening in the seat behind me and crew did nothing."
Contras: "Five hour delay due to faulty maintenance at LAX. Pilot (rightly) refused to fly until maintenance work correctly completed. Plane then diverted to Brisbane to change crew, en route to Melbourne."

Lufthansa, scheduled me and took my money, then canceled the flight, rescheduled me on a flight that could not reach its connection with its United Airlines partner. They left me stranded in Chicago both airlines blaming it on the other. Did not provide a hotel voucher, and did not arrange another flight until 24 hours later. Lufthansa and United provided a horrible experience. I will try to avoid flying these airlines at all cost in the future.

Voo com atraso, Equipe atenciosa. Entretenimento não se aplica. Tivemos problema com a liberação da bagagem, ficamos mais de uma hora na esteira à espera da bagagem sem nenhuma informação. O problema foi com a bagagem de todos os passageiros. Depois de uma hora e trinta quando formou-se uma enorme fila para reclamar as malas a bagagem foi lebrada. Até então nenhuma informação. Muitos passageiros habitantes de Munique foram embora e suas bagagens estavam na esteira.

Contras: "Compared to my SF to Munich flight, the return trip was a nightmare. The flight attendants were nowhere to be found. Cold face towels, ran out of food and drink. Flight attendants allowing a school field trip to take over the flight. My seat was kicked for 7 hours straight, they did nothing."

Contras: "The woman at the "Groups" check in area on 4/20 Saturday morning had the personality of a cactus needle. She was condescending and sent us on a wild goose chase to pay for our bags. Why didn't she just send us to that area in the first place to take care of the check in process at the same place?"
Prós: "The crew was fantastic and I thought they handled the issue with the Kosher meals well and very professionally. The entertainment selection was also great."
Contras: "Why did they collect the headphone with so much time left? I thought that I would have enough time to finish a movie but between the excessive announcements and the early pick up, I still had 20 minutes left. Also, I didn't order the Kosher meal, but I was surrounded by it, and the smell was nauseat"
Prós: "Crew was good, not amazing but Food was a disaster. I can't believe an airline of Lufthansa's repute has bad food and even mediocre in flight entertainment. Compare that to any asian or middle-east airline, Lufthansa is 20 years behind in terms of it's service?"

Contras: "Delayed 20 minutes out of Denver, and when I arrived at my connecting city in Munich I was immediately told I would not make my connecting flight due to customs lines and to reschedule. I walked 5 minutes to customs, no lines, walked another 5 minutes to my gate, and easily made the connection."

Contras: "Upon arriving to Frankfurt airport (gate Z) from Boston, i had an hour to make it to gate A including passport control. Once I got to to gates A50-69 I was told that i had to turn back and go through a different passport control as the one close to gates A50-69 was too busy/full. So I turned back although i had no specific gate number where the passport control was. Once I got there, after 10 mins walking (around gate Z20) around and asking lufthansa staff I came across a rather long queue. At that point I only had 30 mins until my flight to Budapest was boarding. I knew I would not get through that queue on time and there was no assistance. So I decided to turn nack and go back to gates A50-69 assport cobtrol where luckily there was no queue at all. I do not understand why i was turned away by staff the very first time I got to that passport control and why there was no assistance by airport staff. Not happy at all about that."
