I had assumed that Turkish would be like it's other middle Eastern airlines line Emirates or Qutar but they are not. I would take my business elsewhere"

I did NOT feel anything at ALL. The Crew excepted and kept my suit in a safe place, hanged till I reached Istanbul Airport."

Prós: "This was one of those flights where everything was easy. Boarding was on time, relaxed. In fact, everyone was relaxed. We were ready to fly early, passengers spread out in the empty plane with lots of pillows and blankets, food was given immediately to accommodate passengers who were fasting for Ramadan. The screens worked well, lots of game and movie options. Only problem... No gin and tonic! In fact, no alcohol at all on this route."

Prós: "The seats reclined very far and were super comfortable! I never sleep on planes and I slept the whole 13 hour flight. The staff was so friendly and made sure you were as comfortable as could be. The food was delicious and they give you a menu so that you can make a selection."

Contras: "Everything else was awful. Due to the previous flight being late arriving/departing we got to Istanbul late then they couldn't park the plane to de-board. We missed our connection and were stuck in Istanbul for an entire day. The customer service related to this mistake were awful, blaming us, telling us it wasn't their problem, and constantly trying to get refer us to another representative or their website rather than attempt to resolve the issues. Worst flight experience I've ever had."

The crew was incredibly rude and generally unhappy to help--a consistent show of attitude, as if WE were a pain to service, when just asking for water/tea because they kept skipping us! The food also was really bad, nothing like it used to be. By far the worst Turkish Airlines experience I've had, and I may reconsider booking in the future."

Considering my wife and I were already at the airport, we had no choice but to pay for our checked bags – resulting in almost $380 in luggage fees for our round trip flights. This restriction was buried on the ticket purchase information – a very sneaky move that cost us significantly. Won't be flying TAP Air Portugal again!"

Contras: "It was not a business class at all. I was put in the same big bus together with econom class passengers. There was not supposed to be any business class in this airplane, since chairs are all the same and not comfortable. No entertainment of any kind at all. It's a waste of money."

Contras: "Had to check 2 of our luggages, and it cost $95 per piece. Never flown an airline where I had to pay more than $50 per piece. Also carryon has to be less than 8 kg. Our small luggage that we had to check never had any problems with any other airlines about being a carryon but since it was over 8 kg, it had to be checked. Took a 7.5 hour flight and the entertainment screen was not working for anyone, as the system was broken. Will not be flying with airline ever again."

Contras: "They gave my 70-year old mother only a few hours notice that they were changing her one-stop four-hour 6AM flight into an 8AM multi stop 14-hour marathon. In fact, she was already asleep when they changed her flight, so she was already at the airport when she found out about the change. To do this to a 70-year old woman is reprehensible. Worse, after 2-hours with customer service, nobody there made any real attempt to remedy the situation or offer any compensation. Worst airline experience EVER."
Prós: "Andrera Araijo was extremely friendly, attentive and energetic. She smiled through out the entire flight. Whether she was attending to me or a fellow passenger it was all smiles. She definitely made smile. God bless you Andrera!"

Prós: "Once we were boarded, everything went fairly smoothly. The cabin staff are not rude, however they are just there to serve food and drinks, and are totally uninvolved and unwilling to enforce any rules."
Contras: "TAP is notorious for delaying departures, and both times I have flown with them, the flights have been delayed at least an hour. Their boarding procedure is also unorganized and often frustrating. The food is terrible. Don't eat the beef stew with Madeira sauce. It's like dog food."

Upon arrival, we were held for 45 min at JFK, as the gate wasn't ready and the crew had the engines running and fumes penetrated the cabin that made me almost sick. Contras: "TAP rebooked on SATA flight to Boston. There was no inflight entertainment for a 7 hr flight! not even one small TV where you could watch. The food was chicken but it came with pork which i cannot eat. Upon arrival to Boston they lost my luggage and did not seemed concerned when i reported it. There were several outfits for family members for a religious holiday in a few days. They promised a call back regarding my luggage but they never called. The number i was given didnt work. I had to call several numbers before i was able to find someone to discuss my luggage with. The lady on the phone told me it was probably because I switched from TAP to SATA. However I didnt choose this change, TAP rebooked me. They could not assure me they would find or call me back. i ended up getting it back 6 days later. without an appology or any kind of compensation."
Contras: "I did not like that I was racially profiled by the Polish person witless I was boarding the flight. The hostess in the flight did not pay attention to my needs. The flight entertainment system did not work. Eventually in rheaume middle of the flight they decided to change my seat."
