Contras: "I am an experienced traveler. I've been to 17 countries and have flown over a million miles in both business and coach. My wife encountered a problem in Istanbul that involved an airport transit visa through Canada. I am certain that any other airline we’ve ever flown would’ve assisted us, since it was easily resolved. To Turkish Airlines, this is simply a part of their business model and a chance to make more money. It took about 8 hours of our time at 5 different airport locations to eventually buy new tickets to get back the next day. Our original tickets say: “REISSUE With 200.00 USD penalty. What I didn’t see was the fine print at the bottom: “Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change rules regarding ticket changes and refunds.”. They mean it. As bad as our personal experience was, the real reason we are so appalled is that we were there long enough to see this is the norm for them. In our single day there, we saw at least 100 other travelers going through similar things. The ONLY solution ever offered is to purchase another ticket. We witnessed several people weeping. Many losing control and shouting. Their own personnel were screaming at customers (in a separate office area though, it was all yucks and laughing). These were people of all nationalities. Africans, Asians, Europeans. We were lucky because we had the means to purchase new tickets. Others clearly didn’t. I really don’t know what happened to some of them. One moment was very symbolic of the entire experience. Another vanquished traveler was paying $843 for a new ticket with cash. He handed her $845 but she, of course, had no change. Instead of the $5, he gave her two $1 bills. I had one in my pocket so gave it to her as well. She held my $1 bill up and pointed to the corner which had a very small piece torn off…no ink was missing…and sneered “I can’t accept this. She did this simply because she could. We were powerless. She knew it and reveled in it."

Contras: "I had to take flight from San Juan to JFK on Jet Blue seperate ticket that supposed to leave san juan 5:26 am and get to JFK at 9:18 am , Jet Blue got delayed 5 houres due to the weather , when i got to JFK i went to the counter of Turkish Airlines to re book on another flight , i was attended by Indian look manager , he was very very very nasty with me and he told that the Turkish Airlines had cancelled my ticket and his comment to me ( you boughtyour ticket socheap there fore you need to pay $1650 dollar for new ticket and there is not gurranted i will be takig the next scheduled flight and i have to waite for thenextday ) he was very nastuy, so i went to Emirates Airlines and i bought a new tickets for $1475 dollar and ileft JFKwithen twohours , now when i want to retune from Lebnon i caled Turkish Airkines and they had informed that they cancelled my return ticktes as well , when the plane was delayed in san juan Puerto Rico Jet Blue manager in San Juan call Turkish Airlines to exolaine the situatuion and the agent had confirmed that i will be rebbok on another flight. I lst my ticket with Turkish and i will never recommend this Airline to no one from now on. I,m asking if i can use the monry that i had paid if i can rebook future flight , please do something i lost my tickets with Turkish and i had to pay $1475 dollar on Emirates , NO one seems to care .I have all the proof thatJet Blue gave me the boarding pass on Turkish after the station manager in San Juan called Turkish and they authorized him to print my boarding pass ( i have it all) unfortunatly Turkish refused to helo. Contras: "Customer service was very poor while we were struggling to get back to the US while the hurricane was coming to FL. We tried twice to fly home earlier because we knew the flights were going to get cancelled but the airlines wanted to charge us $1500 for that. So when the time came and the flights got cancelled they were trying to adjust the flights and we got stranded away from our kids. Overall it was not a great experience as far as their customer service and we were not happy with how they chose to handle things."

Prós: "While in Barcelona, Spain I needed to change my departure time, there was the usual long lines ahead of me when a THY Associate questioned me about my travel plans. I explained to her that I needed to change my departure time and she took me out of line and escorted me to the correct window. Standing now at the correct window I was able to quickly make the desired changes. I was so happy I was able to avoid the long lines. THY is a Class A operation indeed. Thank you, Rudy"

Contras: "The flight was cramped with no room to get comfortable. The crew was concerened with it being an overnight flight and rushed through service so that the lights could be turned off on the cabin. They ran out of a food option and forced a selection on everyone in the back of the plane. The person sitting next to me even had a dietary restriction and her meal had been given to another passenger. The boarding process was a mess without clear directions from the staff, it was a giant mob trying to force its way onto a plane."

Prós: "I flew Turkish Airlines this year - 2 domestic flights and 3 international - and every flight was great. The long-distance flight (Japan-Istanbul) especially. My seat was more comfortable than with USA companies I've used, I was fed on short-lap flights and provided a pillow (no extra charges), I had real milk to put in my coffee (not chemical creamer) and I didn't pay extra for baggage. Flights were on time, crews were friendly. I'll be using Turkish Airlines more in the future, for certain."

The AC was almost killing the older people not me but the older lady sat next to me complained all the time but it didn't work. I know it is the challenge difficult to solve however you can give them some advise. Find a private space to talk with sick people because some people might not be comfortable to talk in front of every one."

Prós: "It was an excellent trip with THY. The crew was very attentive for the requests and the needs of the passengers at all time (regardless of inconsiderate traveler). Since it is usually too expensive for me to travel with THY, one still can get a great deal if looked for deals in advance. Some of the best things about traveling with THY are being able to check 2 bags, unlimited drinks and food at all times and more leg room. Max"
Prós: "I enjoyed receiving food on the flight with real silverware, a warm roll and friendly service. Having a choice of entertainment was also nice. Best of all, I like the fact that the airlines offers a guided tour of Istanbul in English during a layover there; I only wish I'd read that in the in-flight magazine before going off on my own to sightsee."

Contras: "We only had 45 minutes between flights. We almost missed our flight to Naples due to having to go through security again in Frankfurt. The Frankfurt airport was very congested. I wouldn’t have booked a flight with such a short layover had I known how far apart the gates were and that we’d have to go through security again. I would suggest not offering flights with such short layovers."

Overall mediocre but hey - Cheap fares, you get what you pay for."

Contras: "Flights were late and boarding was caios, no one had any clue what to do. Blankets were filthy. Entertainment had limited choice. Considering I took six flights in this month, I will let it slide that they ran out of New movies. Worst part was food. Obviously, there is no quality consideration when they decide menu. Check Emirates or other similar fare bracket airlines to understand the gravity of Lufthansa food problem. If one reason I had to choose to drop Lufthansa from my future consideration then that would be worst food and drinks. I would strongly recommend that they should assign people who need additional time to board at the back of the plane. It will help them to go back of the plane faster and avoid gridlock in the middle. Another advantage is it will help other passengers leave plane faster at the end of the ride. Boarding process will be come significantly faster by filling the plane from back to front by loading passanger with children and who needs time at the first loading area at the back of the plane. Contras: "The first plane left too late to make the connection. The Lufthansa staffer who reorganized my trip considered two options and picked the best one. However, she didn't stress to me how far the next gate was at another terminal -- luckily I asked someone else who helped me get a bus. I am not fluent in German so that may have added to my uncertainty. And my suitcase, which she said she was making sure would get to me in Marseilles, did not come for 24 hours."

I could not store my belongings near me. No power outlet to charge my devices for my own entertainment on a 7 hour flight. Dealing with constant traffic for the bathroom. I sat in the middle seat between two hours other men. It was a constant struggle arm space. After 7hours in the air I could not wait to get off the plane. If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade""

Contras: "My husband & I were seated toward the back on the side. Our seats had several inches less leg room than the ones surrounding us (not sure why). This information was not made available when we booked our flight. My husband is 6'2" and his legs legitimately could not fit into his seat. He had to sit the entire flight with one leg in the aisle and the other tucked under the seat in front of me. It was only made worse when the kid in front of him fully reclined his seat. We would have chosen to not sit together rather than endure that had we been given the option. Also, the menu they distributed said they serve ice cream but we asked and then didn't have any. Don't get my hopes up!"

Contras: "I struggled to check in online line not user friendly site And then I went to the airport early and stood in a question for 1h50min to check in and they where difficult with because my bag was exactly 24kg and asked me to remove something I have flown oven over 50times I my life and this would be the firest and last time with air France"
Prós: "The in-flight meal was very good. The flight was much quicker then I expected, but there a lot of turbulence for much of the flight. Most of the flight attendants were very nice."
Contras: "We were put in the last row of seats, which don't recline, though the row in front of you reclines into you and you are trapped. One of the flight attendants was rude when we were trying to deal with our child who had vomited. CDG (Charles DeGaulle airport) is poorly laid out and poorly run, in my opinion, starting with the landing of our flight. After waiting over a half an hour after landing to de-board, we were given much information In trying to get to the proper places to check certain baggage items, and we walked up and down and around a whole terminal trying to get to the proper gait. This is not the first time I've had a bad experience at this airport. Thankfully, the flight itself after that horrendous experience was good."

Prós: "The cabin crew were friendly, and came round with a second offer of sandwiches when it was apparent that they had more than they needed."
Contras: "While my seat was very spacious, this was the result me being sat near the front, where the business class seats had been converted to economy class. While the number of seats had been increased, the positioning of the armrests was rather haphazard, such that me (in the window seat) and the man in the aisle seat had business class width, while the poor lady squeezed in between us had less than a standard economy class width to fit into! Luckily there was a free seat elsewhere, and she changed seats before we took off."
Prós: "Codeshare flight. operated by Flybe. Got the job done with no fuss. This was a business booking, and I had a snack and drinks voucher included. I used these to get some tomato juice, which was good and a snack box, which contained a small piece of yoghurt bar, crackers, cheese, some nuts, dried fruit, a single mentos, and something else I can't remember. It was alright."
Contras: "The food and drink voucher system was a source of confusion for a number of other customers, including a pair who had booked through the same agency, but one seemed to get a voucher and the other did not. I realise that this is not the fault of the crew, but Flybe should ensure that their agents are clearer with what bookings include."

Absolutely disappointing especially with the head sets not working because of poor ports of connection. The food was absolutely tragic. You should fire your catering company. I expect more from your airline and I was disappointed all the way through. I hope you can provide my wife and I better service and an upgrade when we fly back to Washington DC on Flight AF 0054 from CDG to IAD. I work in the luxury hotel sector, and even the door men and room attendants have more autonomy to wow our guests. Flying AF does not want me to spend any more money with your airline in the future."

When the dog rightfully acted defensive trying to protect me, the crew member started threatening me that he would have the dog sent to cargo, the last thing a person with an emotional support pet wants to hear. Extreme lack of professionalism."
Contras: "Flight was delayed 3 times and when I was finally put on a flight that was leaving, they failed to check the connection in Paris (Left me 10 minutes to get from the aircraft to the other plane!) I was moved to SAA in the end after a truly traumatic time in Johannesburg. This is not the first time I have suffered at the hands of Air France sadly. Needless to say, I wont be booking with Air France again."
Contras: "The company simply lets passengers board a fulled booked flight with far too much luggage. Result, take off 20 minutes late because there was not enough room for luggage in the overhead compartments. I was flying with just a small backpack that went under the seat"

Try Sky Airlines instead."

In flight entertainment screens were not very responsive to touch, and would have been better with a list of movies/tv/games, instead of 1 show per tap since the screen was iffy on responsiveness."
Prós: "The staff was friendly and very attentitive. The entertainment is available in a huge selection and works great. It was great that I was able to create my own playlist with as many songs as I liked from their music library, for the duration of my flight. Staff woke me up and asked me if I wanted food in the morning which I thought was nice. On other airlines, Sometimes they just let you sleep and you miss out. Lighting is great for sleeping. Food is OKAY (im a picky eater) with vegetarian options. Provided pillow, blankets,AND HEADPHONES! Headphones are a must have for a long flight so it's great that they provide it. It was my firat flight with Latam and I look forward to flying with them again."
Contras: "I didn't like that latam doesn't offer wifi like some other airlines such as jetblue. Also I would like more interaction from the pilot over the intercom, its more personal and comfortable for passangers. Other than that great airline."

The only reasons I didn't rate the entertainment as excellent was that the system never played movies on the first try. I always had to do the sequence twice."
Prós: "Travelling with a toddler is not easy, but LAN made us feel welcome and relaxed. Love their in-flight entertainment and aircraft overall. Cabin crew is very professional and look the part."

Contras: "In Buenos Aires we waited for several hours past boarding without knowing what our fate was, except that it was obvious we were going to miss our plane from Lima to NY. The flight staff was very flustered and stressed but at least they maintained a calm which was different than a week before at JFK when our outgoing flight on LAN was cancelled and people began a mini-riot. The police had to come to the flight crews rescue. LAN put us up in a nice hotel about 30 minutes from the airport. We got there at 3 am, the 3rd hotel layover of our round trip from NYC to Mendoza, due to LAN dysfunction. Never again LAN"
