The hotel is very attractive, sleek and modern. The best feature is the location, just a short walk to Puerta Del Sol and tons of restaurants/tapas bars, and a pleasant walk to the Prado or the Palace Real. The desk staff were very helpful in identifying nearby restaurants and answering questions about Madrid. The bathroom amenities were outstanding, nice big towels and a great shower. Black out curtains and free internet were a big plus. Urban is very attractive and the rooms spacious by European standards, but ours on Floor 1 was very noisy. Not sure about the upper floors, but we heard everyone in the hallway, all the early morning preparations and the popular bar at night. The beds may be to European tastes, but far too firm for us - just a mattress on a platform. The breakfast was inappropriately expensive (a smaller, more affordable option - coffee, juice and croissants, perhaps?). We also missed being able to utilize some of the common spaces, esp. the roof terrace, due to many private functions. The desk staff were great but others seemed more interested in chic than service. This hotel is best suited for (much) younger people and business travelers.
As other people have said, it is the staff at this hotel that were really great and I have told people about it that I would not normally tell or make comment to. If all hotels used this one as an example of how to deal with customers from the point you enter it, travelling would be a lot more pleasant. It is the little things that they do so well and always cheerfully, they respond, they are good at what they do from the restaurant to the bar to reception and the doorman and porter. I dont know how they do it, but they need to keep the secret and keep it going!! The size of the gym and the pool!!
Top notch for a European hotel in terms of cleanliness and design. The location is not ideal, but taxis were easy to come by. Architecturally it's stunning. The rooftop pool is subpar (tiny) and has woefully inadequate seating.
Hotel decor, nice room, central location No window to the outside from the room
Excellent Design. Great Location. Staff and Amenities. The bed wasn't very comfortable...and the sheets were like sand paper.
Location, the porter (very nice people) the restaurant There were no spa, in a 5* that´s not on.....
the service were very good +++ and very personalliti. and very near the center. the urban hotel desezin to my test. no.
Rooftop and lobby bars are amazing Design of the hotel was beautiful and extremely trendy
At EUR 22 plus per person, breakfast is too expensive. It is good, but out of proportion with what you get ...which ios a good breakfast.
Location and cleanliness all signs are in Spanish. the hotel is not designed for international visiters.
the front off staf are really help us with a perfect way & the houes keeper are more than great, just need litel more in english some department need ,english for comunication
Every thing was really excellent .. The staff were really friendly helpful , great guidance , with a big smile .. Very modern hotel , very clean and the location was really perfect .. The breakfast was not included in the room rate not even an option when I did the booking so I can include it with the booking
It was a lovely hotel with a helpful staff. Great location across from the Prado Museum. You can walk to all attractions. The room was a great layout with a sitting area downstairs from the beds. Restaurant/Bar were excellent. Hotel provided a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival. They have a free computer if you need the internet. They also provide a CD player in the room. Wish I purchased the CD of Spanish music. Would highly recommend this hotel.
DATED, ROOMS ARE LOUD, NO ISALATION CAN HEAR NEIGHBORS ON ALL SIDES AND CLEANING STAFF, THE BED WAS 2 MATTRESS PUT TOGETHER AND VERRY UNCOMFORTABLE, IM 5,10 AND MY FEET HUNG OFF THE END, ONCE INSIDE YOU FEEL LIKE A HOTEL FROM THE 70s THE DECORE IS OLD. THE BREAKFAST WAS AGOOD VALUE. OVERALL WE DID NOT ENJOY OUR STAY. MADE 2 PHONE CALL TO TRY AND GET A REFUND WITH NO SUCCESS, IT WAS SO BAD WE CHECKED OUT 1 DAY EARLY.
The location and facilities are excellent. The staff, especially the front desk personnel, were great—very helpful and knowledge. Noise from other rooms and service vendors is a bit distracting in the evening. Breakfast in the restaurant is very nice but formal. it would be nice to also a venue that is simpler and more low key without the white linens
Room design was exactly I expected from photo. It had sitting area at few steps donw form bedding area, with sofa and coffee table wtih freash rose in the vase, gave more relaxing space after sightseeing in busy town. Hotel gives upscale/rustic/cosy feeling all together. Front desk personnel, porters, and door men were all nice. Location is great for sigtseeing and dining. A bar next to hotel was nice to visit for small drink or tea at late night too. Bathroom was clean but had a strong oddor (smell like sewer). Also, one day we were back to room duing day time to take a break from sighseeing, the noise from outside (from either roof or pipe repaire) was very loud. So we went back out to sightseeing.
Great view and beautiful suite on the 5th floor
the good location I was deeply disappointed by the size of the room, and the fact that it needed a good refurbishment. I felt I paid I very high room cost for something that didn't warrant it. My guide book had said the Villa Real was a deluxe hotel; perhaps I was just given the worst smallest room on the top floor.
friendly staff. When I needed to call an ambulance for my husband who was unwell they were efficient and helpful a bigger restaurant for the evening would have been better.
location and its was realatively clean poor facilities no pool,no proper bar, limited seating in restaurant, staff didnt speak english and were not helpful
The welcome bottle of wine and flower and the fact that the maid service was efficient. No on site swimming pool.
The location and friendliness of the staff was excellent.
The friendly reception and needs all met in a straightforward way. We had a nice quiet room.
only location next to del prado museum and park The hotel must be 3 or 4 star and doesnt look like 5 star and it is too expensive. The bathroom was small and terrible and after a shower water pours down, the WIFI too slow and only free for 1 hour.
We liked this hotel very much, luxury. Staff was very polite, we arrived 13 p.m., check in should be 14 p.m., we were offered to wait 20 minutes and offered drinks free of charge. In room we also found compliments, it's very nice, when you arrive. Buffet breakfast costs 30 eur per person.
Hotel staff were fabulous ,location excellent As long as you dont mind a bit of faded grandeur and pink wardrobes an excellent choice
Staff was delightfully enthusiastic. Setting was beautiful!
The beds were amazingly comfortable, the housekeepers were not only very amusing but extraordinarily nice. The hotel was insanely clean and had a very comfortable feel to it, as if a lot of fancy people had been through it over the years. The location is good, but not great, for accessing most of the touristy stuff in Madrid. But I found the Prado (directly beside the Ritz) to be horrifically overcrowded compared to some of the other museums like Sofia Reina just down the street. Note: Not really easy to access via metro, I'd recommend taking a taxi to/from. Take the following review with a grain of salt. I am a young person who grew up poor and wanted, for once, the "Ritz" experience: While I am a big fan of trying new things, I have to say that the Ritz experience just wasn't for me. I don't mean to be crass, but if I had a fistful of fives - I can think of a few places I'd rather spend it than tipping the endless stream of people trying to help me with things. Additionally, there is a little doll that you place on your door if you do not wish to be disturbed. Note: Don't leave the doll up for very long, because if you do, they will call your room until you answer so that they can ask when the next time they can come in your room is. I nap maybe... 2-3 times per year at most, and I am severely irritated that they felt the need to call during my biannual nap to ask me when they can come in my room. Instead of changing my sheets 3X per day, how about leaving me the hell alone when I have my DO NOT DISTURB DOLL up? Perhaps I am not cut out for the lifestyle, but I don't want/need people treating me like a helpless child, yet simultaneously making me feel "lower" than they are. Every time I offered a "no thanks, I don't need a taxi, I'm walking" or walked into the hotel from the street, I received these weird looks of incredulity/disdain that I didn't particularly care for. When I brought my own luggage downstairs on checkout I absolutely horrified the front desk attendant. Why the need to treat people like this? I have no idea. My recommendation? Take the $500 per night you'd spend here for the standard room and split it in half. Take $250 / night to spend on some other hotel's suite. Take the other $250 and stick it back in your pocket.
The location, comfort and style. We stayed at the hotel 7 days and the 4th day we had to ask to vacuum the room. Only one arm chair fitted into the small room we had. Cleaning inconsistent. Not much selection at breakfast even when it was very expensive.
I loved the hotel, the look of the outside and the entry. The service is not what I have experienced at other Ritz hotels. The rooms were dated.
Fantastic, we generally dont spend that much money for a hotel but after a terrible experience the night before, it was worth it!
The pleasure that a very comfortable and opulent hotel can give. The reception rooms are magnificent and staff and service were excellent, as you would expect.
The room The location The general ambience We reserved a room with breakfast thru 'get a room' and surprised to see that it was not a buffet breakfast!!! for getting the buffet breakfast we needed to add some more money.... Not all the recommendations of the concierges were good, sometimes it seemed like they recommended places that they had personal interests/connections in.
Old world charm and location. Great lobby and dining rooms Room furnishings and hall carpets need refreshing
If you are planning to visit the art museums - Prado, Reina Sophia, Thyssen Bornemisza - this is the best place to stay, all three are within ston throw from the hotel. Aso the area is very nice, a lot of taverns and restaurants t pick from. The hotel is relatively new, and the rooms are very nice and well designed. The only complaint is the partition walls must bextrememly thin and with not enough isolation, you can hear every movement in the neighbouring rooms
comfortable hotel with facilities suitable for our visit. Excellent location. THere was nothing that I didn't like.
the location is perfect, staff polite & attentive, nice rooms,
Its location and closeness to tapas bars No formal restuarant
Cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff! Mini bar was a bit pricey...
Location. Definately not the 4 star hotel. Don't know why some people give high points to this hotel in reviews. Urgently needs renovation. No sound -proofing at all, you can hear all the noises inside the hotel. TV programs are very tricky - be carefull not to get caught for pay TV. Breakfast is too expensive. They have old key system and require to leave that key at the front desk. High minibar prices. Wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you need hostel accomodation at hotel price, which make no sence.
Near Paseo de Prado, really close to all major museums and rest attractions. Noice could be heard through the walls. The cleaning ladies were making too much noice in the morning.
The central location of this hotel enabled a perfect introduction to Madrid's cultural offerings as the main museums are within walking distance along with a good variety of characterful bars and restaurants.
EXcellent location close to major attractions and major roads and shopping. Free internet wired service a plus. Friendly staff. Overall good value for the money. TV didn't work and even though I complaint about it, nothing was done...anyway the tv channels offerings were poor. The internet connection in my daughter's room wasn't working...probably delayed maintenance overall.. Breakfast expensive for the quality and service received, but plenty of places around it.
Quite central to tourist locations and not on a main road
The hotel was clean and in a great and central location. Close to the Prado Museum. Breakfast starts late: Early risers or those needing to get on the road early shouldn't waste their money on including breakfast.
This is a beautiful, well-maintained property in a central, convenient location. All requests for the room were met, and the facility was quiet and had the amenities expected in a four star establishment. The staff was overall wonderful, and would have rated excellent but for one individual. The hotel phone system seemed unable to connect us to an international operator to make a collect call to our credit card issuer; the front desk staff, however, who were always cheerful and helpful, eventually connected us directly to the credit card company. A bigger problem was the attendant for the buffet breakfast on Friday (another young woman managed the breakfast on Wednesday, and she was quite helpful). On Friday, however, coffee was only served once and halfway through the meal, and our complaint about the cold and overly salty scrambled eggs was ignored. This was a disappointing lapse in a wonderful hotel, with an otherwise excellent staff.
i like the location amazing close to everything almost i dont need to use a taxi.i would recommend . the only thing i didnt like is everyday i put the sign of no disturb and i leave my room and when i comeback they change it and they clean my room which is i didnt ask for cleaning so i explain to the reception and they inform the cleaning lady ....at next time they throu my personal shampo they found it and i could not do anythiung anyway its fine loool and it was my final day but i had to use there shampoo :( which i dont like to use hotel shampoo ever.
This was a phenonemal place to stay in Madrid. It is perfectly located off of the Gran Via and is in a quiet neighborhood. We were able to walk to the Prado and the other museums in the area. The staff was especially gracious and went out of their way to secure any service we needed. Absolutely nothing.
Clean , modern and businesslike. Hard to be recognized as a Hotel. Entrance trees-flowers need upgrading..... Eingangsbereicht ergr
Great location to walk to all museums and tourist attractions and great shopping and eating. On a cool street just around the corner from Metro stop. Small room. Hard bed and not many pillows. Still a great value.
Very good position, near the center and the underground Poor barh amenities
Great location between Gran Via and Chueca. Close to Banca de España metro. Quiet. Wooden floors mean there is a lot of noise from other rooms and hallways. Walls also seem very thin. Can hear everything.
good choice for a short break with adequate facilities in a convenient location
The location was central and close to restaurants and bars. The buffet breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful with any queries we had.
Great bed and amazing pillows....very quite despite its central location. Quite expensive breakfast (buffet) for what is offered.
Great location. Beautiful old hotel. Concierge excellent. Breakfast very expensive. Staff was not well informed of the hours of restaurant.
Staff was unfriendly
Location of hotel Comfort of bed was spolt by squeaking everytime you moved in the bed!
its close proximity to museums and sites. the high cost for internet usage.
The calm atmosphere and the beautiful interieur. Luxurious but still nice and comfortable. The price of two drinks was about the same as the price of one flight ticket back to Oslo . . . .. .
Have stayed there before and was 'welcomed back'. It is ideally located, overall a very pleasant hotel. Excellent staff.
The location was perfect because our goal was to be able to visit the three major art museums within walking distance to our hotel. Parks, restaurants and shopping were also right there. The concierge was excellent in making flamenco arrangements for us. When I called ahead to check our reservation, the clerk answering the phone said that we would need to stay in one queen size bed and that to have twin beds would cost 500 euros per night. When we arrived, the registration clerk upgraded us to two twin beds at no extra cost.
Close to museums Over priced! Everything is outrageously expensive. Staff is not interested in the guest. No room facilities for heating water for coffee or tea. Not enough towels.
No Fitness Center, even though it was marked as having one
very nice hotel, well appointed and reasonable size room, walking distance to the Prado, Plaza del Sol, etc. breakfast was good, dining area very nice but quite pricey vs. the cost of the same food anywhere else nearby
Very well located and very comfortable. Had everything I needed for my buisiness trip.
No room service
Comfort and cleanliness of rooms and hotel in general. The location was perfect for my requirements No
We loved the location and the staff was very helpful
Located centrally with nice clean reasonably sized rooms. The street it is on is a little less nice than some of the other hotels in the chain but this no doubt contributes to its reduced price. Highly recommended overall as long as a glamorous hotel facade on a beautiful street is not one of your criteria of selection.
The rooms were large and some thought seemed to have gone into the design. Also, it was very centrally located and the staff had good English. The extra charges, especially for breakfast seemed to be steep.
Modern room decor Room air conditioning not very effective (ie not cool enough)
The hotel staff were very attentive and pleasant to deal with. We received an upgrade without requesting one. Also great location, in the middle of the city near a lot of museums and restaurants.
We loved this hotel. The location is convenient and quiet, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and, like the rest of the hotel, tastefully appointed, in modern style. Really, a first-rate hotel - we'll definitely choose the Vincci Centrum for future visits to Madrid.
fantastic location, walked to everything! Very modern hotel. Staff was helpful, room was clean and modern. Breakfast was poor, no swimming pool.
the friendly doormen It was great!
very good location but the rooms are too small. The breakfast was excellent.
The closeness to the centre The bar of the hotel was too small and uncomfortable
The hotel is situated in central Madrid on a surprisingly quiet street corner. Both the room and its bathroom were spacious, spotlessly clean, well furnished and equipped. Staff was polite and helpful, their english skills varied. We asked for a street side room for light on an upper floor for quiet and we got one but we had to take two lifts and walk a long lonely corridor between them. A bit creepy late at night!
The atmosphere is wonderful. The rooms are very nice and the employees are very helpful. Really enjoyed staying here.
THe location was great, the room was very comfortable with a large bed. It was noisy becasue it was on the street and the walls are thin. Also think the staff could be knowledgeable about the area, especially place to eat.
very comfortabe, interior design was great..
Excellent location, everything worthwhile seeing within walking distance
the decoration and attention to detail amazed us, stunning!!. beautiful hotel. staff very friendly and efficient. location superb, literally round the corner from neptune fountain, prado museum and thyssen museum. cocktail bar sooooo cool. restaurant mediteranean asian fusion not too expensive. and you might catch a glimpse of tom cruise as the church of scientology is across the road.
the staff were very helpful, room was clean
Location is great, right in the middle of town, restraunts, bars tapas and shopping.my room was big although I took a superior room. There are no views from any room windows. I took the advice of other reviews and asked for a room away from corridor to be quiet Bad inroom breakfast. Also the morning buffet breakfast is not very exciting and too expensive
The location One of the rooms was very dark, and had a permanent bad smell
The staff was extremely friendly and the location was great. We had a room without a window. I recommend that if you stay at this hotel, ask for a room with a window. M
Exellent hotel and excellent location tiny elevators
Location. For a tourist on a very short visit to Madrid this hotel was very centrally located with the Grand Via, Puerto Del Sol, Prado Museum and Plaza mayor all within a reasonable walking distance. The inclusion of breakfast in the price was a real bonus - the selection was vast a kept us going for the day This was very much a business persons hotel. The family room seemed to be an after thought - it was very small, dark with one corner window. To accommodate a free standing wardrobe the room light switches were almost completely covered.
Free high speed internet, shower, locality to subway/centre.... Lifts were insanely small
If you stay at hotel Petit Palace Alcala Torre you are at the best location to visit Madrid. Hotel staff is very helpful.
very close to the centre , good value for money , nice room beed too small for 2
Only location was good Room was very small, dark with no necessary facilities for a family only one chair, the worst I had
location was exelent the size of the room was extremely small and the door key malfunction constantly
Location , bathroom Bed was not comfortable, and makes sounds (skweeks). Elevator is very small. No one helped us with the luggage.
The rooms, the laptop, facilities and location in general.
Close to everything, nice and modern! Never got hot water in the shower it was just "warm"
The bedrooms are lovely and the cardboard artwork in reception is very interesting, but the absolute best element of the hotel for us were your staff, from housekeeping to reception staff, they all were excellent and really approachable. The blinds in the bedroom did not completely close. The rooms were very warm even in the winter, the lowest the aircon could go was 17, and the spotlights really kick out some heat. We couldn't get the safe to work.
the location was the best location in Madrid. the staff was very friendly and helpfull. the breakfast was very good and not expensive.the hotel was very nice and clean .free internet there was not a normal bathroom. the shower was clear in the middle of the room ,so you could see everything inside the shower from the room.no kettle in the room.
Very central and lovely hotel. Staff very accomodating and friendly
Stayed only one night while passing through Madrd but a good hotel for the price located near the main train station if you are taking the train to other parts of Spain.
All staff at reception superb. Kevin in particular really went out of his way to help in every way possible from early check-in to allowing us leave luggage after check out.
Fantastic staff, superb venue & very modern, clean rooms. Thin walls hence could be quite noisy!
Great location on Plaza central to historic area of Madrid. Nothing.
the location of the hotel was right in the heart of where we wanted to be. Shower was very nice but could've used a light so you could see. Overall, it was a good, basic place to stay. The bed was not very comfortable.
We had a junior suite that was large, well laid out and modern. The staff were friendly and helful and the Hotel well positioned for what we wanted to see. No
excellent breakfast room was somewhat small
Fantastic location within easy walking distance of Plaza del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Reina Sofia, and El Prado. Very friendly staff.
We loved the central location. the staff was helpful and attentive. WE loved the in room shampoo and conditioner. Is it possible to get it in the USA?
The location was excellent. Very clea room, bed was very comfortable, bathroom well-equipped and very modern. Front office staff courteous, polite, and helpful. Hallways to room had a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke.
Excellent location, great room, very clean, large, quiet, comfortable bed, clean, excellent breakfast, with the exception of one lady at the front desk the receptionist staff was very friendly.. I found the lady at the front reception very rude the way she talked to you, she talked down to you, very dissappointing.
Location to downtown Room layout. Very cramped. Too many ammenities for room size
the location was great It has Wi Fi feee just in the lobby, and you need a different code eny time yo connect.
Outstanding location. Excellent value. Courteous service. Good laundry. Very good breakfast. Very nice bathroom, excellent shower, but the bathroom was very dark and position of the floor-mounted door stop was a hazard (several painful impacts with toes).
b&o electronics, comfortable but separate beds, deep carpets, well appointed bathroom even though no tub, facility was very quiet, staff was helpful, friendly and spoke decent English room lighting tried too hard for ambience, resulting in the lack of a good, bright reading lamp
Smart hotel in very good location, good deal if booked in advance
the exceptional good breakfast and nice bathrooms
Great location, great hotel for the price.
Splendid service.Very comfortable rooms. Excellent location. The rooms are too dark. More light would be nice.
The location, in the centre of Madrid with many restaurants and bars and close to the cultural attractions, is its main advantage. The noise. The rooms had very thin walls and the sounds of other guests, even normal conversations, were constant. Also noise from the restaurant below was disturbing, particularly in the evening. Paying in advance for breakfast, at 5 euros, doubled its price
location bar cafe
Close to metro. 1. The most annoying thing to stay in this hotel is it is very noisy at midnight, even after 1am!! We always heard beeping sound from cars and shouting from guys walking along or gather around the plaza outside the hotel, esp. Those drunken man. We stay there four nights but difficult to sleep every night!! 2. The breakfast only included a continental one which is very inadequate for visitors.
this is well sited in central Madrid - the location is excellent and the hotel clean and not too nooisy the rooms are very small, barely enough space to step around the bed. The continental breakfast was minimal.
We found the staff to be exceptionally courteous and helpful.
Internet services, friendlyness of staff loud sex in the neighbour's room, lack of sound insulation?
Central location without noise inside the room . Very helpfull and friendly stuff. The breakfast included in the price is poor ( just 1 coffee + 1 orange juice + 1 croissant !). The parking is expensive and the special negotiated prices are valid only under special conditions . So if you have a car this hotel is not very convenient also because it is surrounded by pedestrian zones. Next time we must go there without car!
Location is great - very easy to walk to all key nightlife locations from here. Was disappointed in the front desk staff:there was a female at the desk, who, when my boyfriend was checking into the hotel late at night (which I had advised the hotel that morning), said to us 'your friend, boyfriend, whoever he is needs to show some ID before he can come in. Terribly rude and embarrassing. Which is a shame as the last time I stayed there there were 2 male front desk staff who were exceptionally nice.
Staff were excellent, available 24 hours a day and could not do enough. They knew everyone by name. The square was very noisey late into the night but it is the centre of Madrid.
Very good location, the employees at recepection are very friendly and helpful It is important to have a mini bar in the room
Great location in walking distance to major sights. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. They gave us tips on where to go and how to get there. Vanessa told us about a flamingo ballet show at a beautiful theater that we would not have found on our own and the show was spectacular. Our room was beautiful with a great up-dated bathroom and a huge shower. Very nice. Thanks to all the staff and especially Vanessa! Moreland Hills, Ohio USA
convenience, room when the room is serviced daily the bar fridge is not replenished and the absence of diet drinks in it
Well, difficult to complain about anything. We received complimentary upgrade to a fantastic suite, the room was very comfortable, we asked for late checkout getting it without any problem, all the staff was very friendly. A special mention to "Vanessa", one of the kindest receptionist I've ever met.
very nice location, nice staff and very nice rooms. Absolutely perfect for a short trip with a touch of luxery! no
the location was great. Walking distance to many museums, shopping and many good restaurants nearby. Great, helpful staff. the bed was a little too hard.
Fantastic Location! Within walking distance to everything! Very nice hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
Combination of good value, good location and good facilities
the location, the staff were excellent,
A very comfortable hotel with a big room and very clean and well equipped bathroom. Excellent central location with cafes close by for breakfast.
Cleanliness, hotel staff and location Everything was perfect. I'll recommend to my family and friends.
very good location,staff friendly,
Its central location The price of food & drinks
In the center of the city Clean modern rooms Professional staff
The hotel is right in the middle of everything. Very helpful staff. Easy walk to sites and dining. Very affordable and convenient Nothing about this hotel that I can say bad.
A nice hotel in a great location
The rooms were nice, and the hotel was very central and very clean. The staff when we booked in were not friendly, although the staff, when we checked out (different people) were very friendly. The bathroom although it was beautiful and spacious was freezing, as there was no heating in there.
Big room, great localtion, low price
Very nice hotel exactly in the center of Madrid, quiet and very nice furnished, it was a pleasure to stay there!
The location of hotel
extremely good location, right next to metro station, near placa del sol to the south and fairly close to the main park and prado museum to the north. The price was good. interior room but still noisy, AC didn't work well, no view
The newly renovated rooms are every nice. When we first checked in though, we were given a room on the ground floor, right next to the office with two single beds. This room was quite crappy and old, and there was renovations going on directly outside the window. We asked for a room with one bed, and were given a much nicer room higher up and on the back side of the hotel. The older rooms are quite crappy, and I would not have stayed in that. Also, being winter, the A/C is turned off. But, it's hard to open the window, so our room was quite hot. An there was no working fan.
Great location, 50m from Palza Santa Anna.
Location was great for visiting museums. Room was comfortable. Reception staff were of great assistance when my wallet was stolen. Our room was on 7 floor as elevator only went to 6 we had to cart our luggage up further stairs to our room. Airconditioning was impossible to regulate and we were uncomfortably warm in room.
Excellent location ideal for exploring the City during the day and close to many excellent restaurants in the evening. Staff were very helpful, the hotel comfortable, clean and quiet. The enjoyable breakfast was good value. Would certainly return.
Rather clean and it has good location All single rooms are very small and have no window to the street (inside rooms) - so i have to change the room to a double one for single use
Location; Concierge Carlos. Street noise; breakfast not a value.
easy access to Prado and plaza Santa Anna , also abundance of good tapas and resturants aaaround the area. The noise in the evenings I suggest avoid the weekend as the noise levels in the side streets is quite something as well as the dustcarts appearing before dawn.
It's convenience, the staff were great (even with our broken Spanish!) the room was very comfortable with all the amenities we needed but most of all it was clean and reasonably quiet, taking into account its location.
It was clean, comfortable, and centrally located. Bit noisy due to street noise.
good location, quiet (exept upper floor shower) more vegetables for the breakfast and also eggs
