Prós: "It is so far a cut above the American carriers. There’s no way to compare them, because Qatar Airways is so far superior. The seats are far more comfortable and larger, the amount of legroom is far superior, you have much more personal space, and the craft is cleaner. Flight Attendants are fantastic! They provide excellent personal care, and are there for everything. They are supremely polite and courteous, and bring things in mediately. Very often anticipating your needs. This is what flying used to be like on United and American. But those people have completely forgotten what service is. Qatar is a 5 star airline. United and American, to my view, are 2 star at best."

She had a little pouch with her name on it -- like a UM -- so someone knew something was not right when they put her on the flight. I bought drinks inside the terminal for this 14 hour flight but they were all confiscated at the additional security at the gate!! WTF"

When I asked, I was told that none were available. The check in person was not pleasant or helpful. I also had to watch to make sure that the luggage labels were attached to be sure that they would make it to Chicago. Once on the plane there was an unrudy boy sitting in front of us jumping in his seat, never wearing his seat belt kicking the seat, turning on the light beating on the tray table, calling the flight attendant. The adult ignored the child through the flight. It was one of the worse experiences I have had on a plane. I would have to think very hard before I fly Qatar again."

Cramming more seats into a finite space seems to be what all airlines are doing these days. This of us whom are above average in height are forced to insure a more painful and uncomfortable flight as a result."
Contras: "I had booked the Amaya lounge for the 3,5 hours stop over. It cost $50+ and was so not worth it! Bad food and uncomfortable chairs plus it was really crowded! Next time I'll just go to a cafe! No seats at the gate when I got there. Slooow boarding!"

Prós: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Contras: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."

Contras: "Without any explanation the plane I was due to go to Istanbul on at 11.30 was not available. I had to wait for a small plane coming from Edinburgh then wait for it to be emptied of passengers and cleaned. This meant we were over 2 hours late into Istanbul. No explanation or apology. I then missed my next flight in Istanbul and had to purchase another ticket. I cannot believe that air passengers are treated in this way!!! I will follow this up with KLM when I go home from my holiday."

Contras: "Amsterdam customs is the most disorganized I have ever seen. With the number of tourists entering the country you would think they would have done something about it. There were only 2 customs agents!! One for all passports and 1 for all passports. We were in the customs hall longer than we were in flight!"
Contras: "Per usual, KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Strange choice of in-flight movies; no accounting for taste, I guess."
Contras: "Pet was left behind at vacation destination as pet's reservation (made and confirmed through KLM) was not found at check in. Waiting for Customer Care to help get pet home and take responsibility for situation and getting no response. Very dissapointed, considering law suit."
Prós: "Staff superb. They even surprised us with an exit row and a gift for my partners birthday! Amazing. Samantha and Dennis also took time to come and personally wish him a happy birthday. A lovely touch. This airline runs like clockwork. They are just great. The sandwich and stoop waffle are nice too."

Contras: "boarding the flight on time instead of delaying it two times... and also putting the information at the flight information screen if I haven't gone to ask to the airport information stand I would never know the flight departure gate that was at the complete opposite side of the airport of were the initial flight was going to depart."
Contras: "2 hours delays from LAX to CDG then additional two hours delay from CDG to CAI, this is disappointing"
Prós: "The crew"

Contras: "The flight was delayed. We were told that it was just a half an hour delay by the man that was informing us of the delay and then we were then told by a woman that it was going to be over an hour. We weren’t told any specifics of why the plane was delayed, other than: “ the engineers are looking at the issue now”. We received messages saying that the flight was cancelled but then we were told to ignore that. We were told that we would have an update every 10-15 minutes but by the time we had the next update was 1 hours later, we were told that the plane will depart at 15:50- which we did. But we also sat on the plane for an extra 2 hours or maybe even more (couldn’t bare watching the time at this point) because the man that was supposed to push the plane backwards in order to reverse the plane didn’t turn up so we then had to wait for all of the other planes to take off before we could. Eventually the plane set off at 18:20 and I got in France 19:30-20:00 ish?"
Prós: "Very helpful cabin crew and did well to communicate in English to me. Flight was on time and landed ahead of schedule"
Contras: "Entertainment system had to be rebooted as it did not work Small screen handset was not working for the entire flight food selection was not as big as KLM or China Eastern Bathroom on board was smaller than KLM or China Eastern which meant changing into more comfortable clothing for the night flight"
Prós: "We got to the desk to check in and there was one person being served in front of us. He finished with him, turned and left the area through the dooor. No one came to help us for 15 minutes. Then they came out to answer the phone and said we were 10 minutes past the cut off and we could not fly."
Contras: "Staff just walked away while we were in line, the rudeness and mean attitude, they blamed us for being too late after ignoring us and made us late, they didn't offer an alternative flight until we asked. Overall, horrible customer service. Never been treated so rudely by people in the airlines industry in my entire 42 years of flying!"
Prós: "Sometimes you get surprised, with this specific flight, we had an excellent young and perfect cabin crew. Thanks, Joon!"

Prós: "The food was pretty good and the staff were friendly. During our transfer in Paris, my mum had a medical emergency and had to go to the medical centre. As such wr couldnt go to our final destination in Morocco and had to get our luggage off the plane. The staff at the AF counter were very helpful in that aspect. And when one of the luggages was completely damaged, it was replaced it with a brand new one which was fantastic. On the way back, we had some issues with the ticket because we didnt go to Morocco as planned which resulted in some trouble checking in. But the staff at the counter were quite helpful."

Contras: "Super tight seating on the plane. Terrible customer service at checkin in Lanzarote. there was a weather issue the day prior and hundreds of travelers were stranded. The baggage belt was backed up and therefore the staff couldn’t check in more travelers. This, we learned, not from the staff, but from walking around and noting the stacks of luggage etc Far better would have been for them to inform the 200 or so people that were waiting in line for 1 hour. You must pay for anything on the flight. A small bag of peanuts or such would be nice."
Contras: "This is by far the worst business class experience ever. Really bad. Never seen business seat so tight. 2x4x2 configuration in business is just not acceptable."

Contras: "I had a flight from Atlanta to London with a connection flight to fly to Istanbul. The first flight was fine and smooth but the second was just terrible. Upon buying and resorting to British Airwaya, it wasn't mentioned anywhere that the second flight plans do not offer complimentary soft drinks or snacks for the three hour flight after a 6 hour layover. Assuming my flight was going to feed, I didn't eat a whole lot at the airport so I didn't have to spend too much money. I declined the cart the first go around and didn't seem any too interested or sure what some of the options were. I lasted as long as I could and gave in and pulled out my credit card (not accepting cash is another disappointment because my Turkish bank account was charged by pounds) but there was nothing but one choice left and it didn't sit well in my stomach."
Prós: "The crew & procedures were excellent. Perfect timing. I had a book to read & I meditated during the flight, so I didn't need the available entertainment--thus the N/A rating in that category. Perfect timing."
Contras: "Seats could be more comfortable."

Contras: "We did on line check in, printed the tiket, and they decided to reprint it, and it never work, every time that we used this re-printed ticket doesn't work, we needed to call many time the staff, and in the baggage drop off constantly said that our baggage hast over weigth without weigth it, the scale said another thing, I have the impresion that they were pushing for extra-weigth pay."
Prós: "flight was relatively empty, and did not delay too much."
Contras: "No entertainment whatsoever. Meal is only a muffin or a cake of some sort. Waited way too long to disembark the plane."
Prós: "There was something to like?"
Contras: "This was a four hour international flight from London to Istanbul. There was no in-flight entertainment system of any kind, not even audio, and there was no free food or drinks. Not even a bag of peanuts or a soda. Everything had to be paid for. And if you did wanted to purchase something, it took forever since passengers had to whip out a credit card. Cash not allowed. I have never been on an international flight that made you pay for food and drinks. When I inquired why, the reason given was that this was a "short-haul international flight". Oh, I see. British Airways is now a discount airline."

Contras: "The BA agent Giles, was rude and spoke to us condescending. His inept handling of rescheduling my family caused us to not only be split up in our flight from London to Vienna, but the majority of us had to wait 10 hours for the next flight. He could've rescheduled us together, but instead he ignored my sister's request to do so, rudely told us to get back in line, and rescheduled another family on the same flight as my sister, thus eliminating our seats together, and forcing her to travel alone."
