O motivo da viagem deve ser declarado por escrito (pelo passageiro usando a autodeclaração).

Requisitos de entrada
Todos os viajantes estrangeiros devem preencher um formulário de autodeclaração e apresentá-lo às autoridades na chegada.
Os viajantes devem apresentar um resultado de teste molecular ou antigênico negativo emitido dentro de 48 horas antes de entrar na Itália. Os viajantes que chegam da Cidade do Vaticano e de San Marino estão isentos de apresentar o resultado do teste COVID-19.
Viajantes que desejam visitar as regiões da Sardenha, Sicília, Apúlia, Calábria devem se registrar em seus sites antes da chegada e seguir seus regulamentos de viagem.
Os governos regionais da Itália também podem impor restrições aos viajantes de certos países estrangeiros, e os viajantes que pretendem viajar ou retornar à Itália são aconselhados a verificar se alguma nova disposição foi introduzida em sua região de destino.
Requisitos de quarentena
Os viajantes que chegam de países da UE sem um resultado de teste molecular ou antigênico negativo emitido nas 48 horas anteriores à entrada na Itália estão sujeitos a isolamento temporário e vigilância sanitária.
Os viajantes que chegam da Austrália, Japão, Nova Zelândia, República da Coreia, Ruanda, Singapura e Tailândia estão sujeitos a um auto-isolamento de 14 dias.
Viajantes de países não listados acima só podem entrar por motivos específicos (como trabalho, saúde ou estudo, ou urgência absoluta, retorno para casa, domicílio ou residência) e não para turismo. Os viajantes que chegam deste grupo de países deverão preencher um formulário de autodeclaração especificando o motivo da entrada/retorno à Itália e estão sujeitos a um isolamento de 14 dias.

When we finally get to FRA, there’s no machinery to get us out of the plane because it was broken. We had to wait for them to find some stairs and then take a shuttle while raining to the airport inside."

Contras: "We arrived at the airport at 9:00 to check in for our flight that was scheduled for departure at 12:15 and we were told that we could not check in until 2 hours before the flight (10:15). All of the passengers for flight AZ1466 lined up in front of a check-in counter that displayed Alitalia for our flight. At 10:45 they announced the check in for AZ1466 at a different check-in counter knowing full-well that everyone was lined up for flight AZ1466 on our line. So then everyone that was lined up at the first counter had to line up at the new counter. My wife and I were initially 3rd in line and then after we had to move we were in the very back of the line. On top of that, they only had 1 person checking everyone into economy (which was most of the people on the plane) and they also had to weigh everyone’s carry-on baggage. We were initially told they had weather issues with the snow in Rome and they did not know if we would take off on time or would be cancelled. However, I was getting e-mail messages from Kayak stating our flight was on-time. So how is it that a 3rd party travel company knew what was going on, but the crew at Alitalia did not? Afterward I had to go through security, wait on the tax refund line, and go straight to board the plane. After that we waiting on the plane for 50 minutes and did not take-off until 1:05 PM. These were the problems in short: 1. No one informed us that we could not check in at this particular airport until 2 hours prior to flight departure. 2. They did not begin the check in process until 90 minutes prior to departure. 3. We had to switch check-in lines and they only had 1 check-in person. 4. We had no time to shop or eat lunch at the airport. 5. We boarded the plane and waited until 13:05 to takeoff when we were scheduled to take off at 12:15 (50 minute delay). 6. We received no communications about delays from Alitalia (via e-mail or app). However, we received e-mails from Kayak stating everything was on time. We had no communication from Alitalia about the delay or that we could not check in early (which you could do at every other airport I have been to). We also had a connecting flight in Rome that we were concerned we would miss. We arrived at Rome airport on a delayed flight out of Marco Polo airport (AZ1466). Our 13:40 flight to JFK (AZ610) was delayed until 14:45. After we arrived at Rome airport we ran through the airport to our gate and boarded the plane. After we boarded the plane we waited until 16:10 to take-off (85 minute delay). We did not receive any communication from Alitalia via e-mail, the Alitalia app, or crew members that our flight was being delayed any longer than it already was. We planned on stopping to use the bathrooms in the airport, eat a decent lunch, and shop (which I promised my wife we could do at the airport). However, we could not do any of those things because we did not receive any information about delays from Alitalia. After we arrived home in New York the airline l"
Contras: "A antipatia dos comissários de bordo e aeromoças, faz com que qualquer voo da Alitalia seja péssimo. Ficar igual uma lata de sardinha já é péssimo, com essa antipatia, somada a velhas cadeiras, velha tecnologia, vinho péssimo (o que fica até ruim para uma empresa italiana) e desorganização no embarque, faz deste voo um pacote de maldade. E o pior, paguei caro por isso. Falta de respeito."

Os comissários de bordo foram informados, porém nossa situação nao foi resolvida, nos enrolaram as 11 horas de duração do voo."

Contras: "A menina do Check in era antipatica estava de saco cheio e nossos lugares marcados no bilhete não estavam marcados no sistema e quando reclamamos a Gracielle virava até o olho. Um absurdo."

Contras: "Audacious prices for checked luggage. If you pay online prior to check-in €25 per bag If you pay at check in it is €45 per bag. This is downright theft by all the airlines who engage in this very profitable but nefarious activity and really needs to be stopped. First bag should be free/ nominal charge or at least part of the ticket price. (It is like a restaurant charging for cutlery and plates so you can eat . Would that be acceptable??)"
Contras: "Alitalia made me pay 50 Euros for my bag although I am traveling on the same day with them internationally, in less than 3 hours. They said that because I had two separate tickets they couldn't waive the fee. they have just lost a customer."
Contras: "Horrible experience with Alitalia. They boarded us on a plane that had a wheel issue, and kept us on the ground for 2 hours before they decided to de-plane us. We then had to wait in a 5+ HOUR LINE to get rerouted (nope, they won't handle these issues online or over the phone, you have to wait in line). And THEN they wanted us to wait in a 2 hour line to re-drop off our bags. We got stuck overnight in Rome and were put in a horrible Hilton Garden Inn and barely made it in time to use our coupon for a "free meal" (aka, frozen meatballs and stale bread in a buffet that had been sitting out all night). On our flight back, the food was absolutely terrible, the movie selections were old and scarce, and the seats were uncomfortable. We called to complain as soon as we got home and still have not heard back from Alitalia. I will never fly with them again."

Contras: "We had only an hour for our connection. Ordinarily, this is enough time. However we had to go through passport control during the connection and we almost missed our flight. When traveling internationally, this should be considered. Rome airport (FCO) could do a better job of managing passengers with quick connections. It was a mess."

Contras: "Although reservations for our return flight from Rome to Boston were made 5 months ago, we were bumped from our flight, not advised in advance, and missed several important work engagements. The management at the Alitalia desk at the airport was not up to the task of reassigning everyone. Understaffed and under equipped (staff was unable to get online to reschedule and re-issue new boarding passes) We are senior travelers (75 and 80 years old) and were forced to stand in lines for 3 hours We're headed to the airport now, the next day, and I am dreading the experience."
Contras: "We paid for bags. Called to check the bags were included and on a technicality alitila charged for bags again. When we asked why, we were told this happens all the time. It seems alitila relays on this to rip of foreigners. This is despicable. This happened twice from two different booking companies and only with Alitalia. I will follow this up next week."
