Prós: "It is so far a cut above the American carriers. There’s no way to compare them, because Qatar Airways is so far superior. The seats are far more comfortable and larger, the amount of legroom is far superior, you have much more personal space, and the craft is cleaner. Flight Attendants are fantastic! They provide excellent personal care, and are there for everything. They are supremely polite and courteous, and bring things in mediately. Very often anticipating your needs. This is what flying used to be like on United and American. But those people have completely forgotten what service is. Qatar is a 5 star airline. United and American, to my view, are 2 star at best."

I reserved an aisle seat originally, aisle seats were available when I tried to change, but agent REFUSED to accommodate me with either aisle or window. Sat in middle with huge guy next to me. Very uncomfortable. Food was mediocre on this leg. Oh, and late departing AGAIN. Will seriously look for other options on next trip."

My overall experience on this flight from CAI-DXB on Emirates was great because of the wonderful crew, on top was their Supervisor/ Adel A.Hamid El-Hareth. On the contrary my decision after an experience with Emirates on board from DXB-LAX, was never to repeat it due to Crew Supervisor, she was British, she was there on board I guess to teach everybody disciplines with a tone !! Someone exceptional to meet once in life but it may bring you to a decision along with other factors not to fly again with Emirates to LAX. Not having a Visa kept me.from entering the immigration and security wont let me in without a boarding pass. security supervisor had to contact Emirates ground staff who escorted me."

The plane was delayed on the runway for around 40 mins but no announcement made, the stewards were unresponsive when people pressed the buzzer."

Contras: "I was expecting to pay for only 10 kg excess baggage according to my own scale but was charged for 15 kg and the check-in staff was rude and unwilling to listen; in-flight staff were not polite, pushing past passengers without any word; such a disappointment as I expected much higher standard of service and courtesy. Nothing beats Singapore Airlines."

Prós: "Emirates is a true Customer Service oriented airline. It is a relief to know that in this age of carriers that charge you a lot and treat you like you are paying a bus ticket there are airlines that still know the key to success. Boarding was fine and not dependent on local personalities. You can tell the company cares about training. The food and entertainment is excellent. Seats are still a little smaller but they try and make up with it with other perks. Flight crew was polite, smiling, and accommodating no matter the time. Pillows, blankets, snacks, etc. all given without having to ask or be charged. We were also given these little self care packs with toothbrush & paste, eye pillow, socks, and earplugs! Overall it made a long flight over night very comfortable."

Contras: "It took 45 minutes to get out bags! Crew bags came out immediately but customers stood around the luggage belt for more than 45 minutes b/c thats how long it took to get our bags and many people were left. Very annoying after a 10-hour flight that lands late at night."

Contras: "I was scheduled to leave Accra yesterday at 5:50pm. The flight was unexpectedly cancelled and the stranded passengers like myself were corralled to a nearby hotel. The flight has since been rescheduled several times today and settled to finally leave at midnight this evening. I missed my connection but it has also been rescheduled, but I doubt I will make it. Emirates has left me stranded. It's ridiculous how they failed to keep us accurately informed."

Contras: "there were many who were selected for extra screening (code SSS) this process added a great amount of confusion (without any communication) we were screened and put in an isolation area where we were not allowed to leave or use a bathroom. We were there for over one hour. at one point, we were moving into a long tube like structure where we stayed for at least 30 minutes while others were boarding from an different ramp. the communication was non existent and we were made to feel like prisoners. actually, we were prisoners."

Contras: "This seemed far different from emirate flights that I'm used to. Over the years their service has decreased but the 1 meal and sub-par snack I got for an 8.5hr flight was poor, likened to a budget airline. This is the second flight recently I've been on that the drinks come so long after the meal you don't even get to enjoy your cola with the meal. The first food cart should have colas if there won't be another cart to come along until 30+ minutes later. I also expected Emirates to provide an eye patch, an 8 hr+ flight in the night time hours in worthy of an eyepatch. Budget airlines do not provide this, but I expected Emirates to. Lastly, I don't think it's necessary to hand out a menu indicating there is something to look forward to when the food is of quite poor standards for Emirates, standard for all other airlines. Maybe the Durban to Dubai route stocks he flights with less experienced crew, this is the impression I got; a much less refined group of people on the plane."

Prós: "Compared to the cattle car feeling of many airlines today, Emirates feels like gracious luxury and hospitality, and that's for economy class. I will try to fly with them as much as I can. First rate experience. Very good ticket price and a convenient non-stop route- unlike some low fares that want to add hours and hours to your travel by routing you through the home country of the airline. Great entertainment choices. Some TV functionality issues for a seatmate, but he was able to change seats. cabin crew was multinational, multilingual, and warm and professional. It reminded me of the way air travel used to be."

Not even a meal voucher. Talked to a guy named Ishmael Shinad and he was beyond useless. Wasnt the happiest person on flight."

Contras: "THe Hostess was not attentive and had to ask for things a few times. No goody basket was given although some pax did get it."

Prós: "I’m very disappointed by the supervisor treatment at the time I was checking in and weighing my luggage. It is very frustrating to see that I was forced to pay US$ 175 for an excess of only 9 Kg. Even after I told him that my other luggage didn’t have the maximum weight he insisted either to throw away my items or pay the amount. The supervisor was ready to either not let to board the flight or leave my luggage. I could have appreciated if either charged only extra 9kgs or move the excess volume to check in luggage that was not full. The supervisor was not ready to listen and he constantly treats me in a disrespectful manner. Given to the mistreatments I had I have vows not to travel with Emirates anymore and also advise my friends and colleagues not to use it. I hope you will use this feedback to improve your customers services."

Contras: "I requested a basinet for my infant daughter and I paid a total of $98.93 extra, but on the plane they told me they didn't know anything about that and they didn't have any basinet. I called Swiss as soon as I landed, and I've told my request was sent but it was never confirmed. They also told me they will send me an email when the basinet for the return flight is confirmed. At this point, I'm not even sure what I paid the $98.93 for."

Contras: "We were scheduled for a 55 minute layover in Zurich which was not nearly enough time. Our plane was 10 minutes late in landing but our next flight was delayed 5 minutes. We had to take a bus from the plane to the terminal, go through immigration with very long lines, take a tram to our departure terminal and then run to our gate which was at the end of a very long hallway. Luckily they held the plane but it was very stressful and exhausting getting to our plane."

Crappy in-flight entertainment with non-intuitive controls. Poor air conditioning. I felt like I was stuffed in a cage for 7 hours. Way worse than United domestic."

Contras: "I was surprised to be charged for 1 piece of checked baggage. I was never informed I would be required to pay for 1 piece of checked baggage. I would have paid ahead of time, had I known. I tried to check-in online but was denied access to my ticket because Swiss Air thought I might be a robot. I kept following instructions for positive access but after about 10 attempts I quit. Very irritating!"

Swiss airlines should account for these things when they give options for the connections. we had about and hour and half layover and did not even have time to have coffee or anything before a 9+ hour flight. We just ran from one flight to another and barely made to our flight.."

The whole idea of booking a business class ticket is the extra comfort that comes with the lay flat seat or at absolute minimum on smaller planes the wider more comfortable seat. Neither of those were present on this flight. Calling this a business class is a rip off."

Contras: "For a 5' 4" person like myself, arm and leg room were barely minimal, Economy seats were crammed together and were not ergonomically designed for comfort or support. I was fortunate to be able to move from my center seat to an aisle seat once the flight was in progress. As soon as I did, the air around me was cooler and made for more comfortable breathing. In the center seat, the air was still and close—very uncomfortable. Poor communication regarding passport control protocol at the departure gate: A temporary station was set up, labeled Passport Control, but no SWISS agent announced what was happening. I had just gone through a passport control line on a lower level so I didn't think I had to go through a similar process at the gate. Most people around me also didn't know whether they had to go through the process at the gate. Once agents had been questioned on the subject several times, they should have made a general announcement to inform everyone at the gate. They did not. The food on the plane was the usual poor quality fare for economy class—either highly processed or overcooked and much too salty. Ugh."

Contras: "Time"

Prós: "A very short flight."

Prós: "Everthing went as planned. Left on time. Cannot complain."

Prós: "the Crew, the meal, the seat at the window"
Contras: "the late and the not very good Information about the late in Madrid"

Prós: "The crew were great. They did the best they could given the circumstances. We got a compensation voucher because of all the trouble on the flight. That's something, though it's not super useful for the occasional traveler on SWISS (2000 miles and more bonus miles or CHF 50 travel voucher)."
Contras: "The plane arrived in Boston 50 minutes late, because we left Zurich late. That was because we were waiting on people to make a connection. Which was probably because their SWISS flight was late. Why are all SWISS flights running late??? There was no coffee or tea on the flight because there was a problem with the electrical system of the hot water machines. That could have been fixed before we left.... The entertainment system is clunky, and it didn't help that it had to be rebooted (took 20 minutes !?!?) in the middle of the flight to deal with some 'isssues'. The big boxes with the entertainment system underneath the seats are not fun either, they really cut into legroom. In general, it seems this plane is in need of a bit of an overhaul and maintenance. And whatever happened to Swiss punctuality? I'm not used to SWISS flights being late. You can do much better than that, you used to!"

Prós: "Very comfortable overall"
Contras: "Unrelated to the flight, the ground handling staff at Istanbul airport, especially the information desk, should be given a crash course in customer care."

Contras: "Crew could have been more pleasant"

Contras: "The flight was delayed by 4 hours but Turkish airlines inisisted that I had to be at the airport and checked in at the scheduled time and then wait at the airport for that whole time."

Prós: "The crew, the food and the entertainment on demand."
Contras: "A frightful flight due to the footstomping, loud, singing, annoying, intimdating andintoxicated English football fan onboard; who were heading from Istanbul to Ukraine for football finals between Liverpool and Madrid I believe. Their behavior made the trip the worst I have ever experienced. As I was seated in the business class section, I can only comment about what I saw and heard there. In that cabin, the cabin crew served alcohol to people that were clearly drunk, yet continued to provide more alcohol. The finale was when the rear section of the plane broke out in vulgar and loud football songs; being picked up by the drunken holigans in the business class section. At this point I was fearful for my physical safety knowing the history of footballers fueled by alcohol. In addition, had there been an onboard emergency, a planeful of drunk passengers would have added to the potential for disaster."

Contras: "Even though it’s only a 4 hours direct flight, They lost my baggage!!!"

Prós: "New plane"

Contras: "Seating in Economy class is terrible. For tall persons like me it is a punshment to be squeazed in such a narrow space. Turkish airlines should add more space and comfort with their seating in Economy. Introduce a Premium Economy Class would solve that problem"

Contras: "This has been a nightmare that is yet to end. After being delayed for two hours out of Rome to Istanbul and missing our connection to Jeddah with hundreds of other stranded passengers from the other flights, Turkish Airlines incompetent handling had us wait in multiple ques for more than five hours only to provide us a hotel for two hours and then shuttle back to a flight 12 hours later! I have yet to hear an explanation from anyone about what happened or a simple sorry for your trouble. This is operational incompetence at full display. Never Again!"

I told her tgank you a 1000 times."

I was never informed why there was so much of a delay and in turn I had to pay triple of what I payed before for my flight. Very disappointed. Won't be flying this airline again. Service was rude. They should be more responsible when it comes to timing. We were on the flight waiting for two hours!!!"

Contras: "Headphones did not work for first half of flight. flight attendant was unconcerned. Very little legroom"

If you go to a gate waiting area with no flight soon, you can stretch out and sleep. Good English-language bookstore."

Prós: "They were out of the chicken in meal even before they got to a quarter of people. They did neither had an option of vegetarian diet. So basically you cannot eat anything but the sandwiches if you don't eat beef."

Contras: "tired cabin crew. terrible wet sndwich. very disssapointing specially when they knew it's a night flight that most of the people coming from connections of 10 hours!! Seats need improvement. terrible entertainment which made the people and specially the kids more boring.. and.. we had a delay of almost 1 hour!!"

Prós: "Service from the flight attendants were fantastic. The food was delicious and the entertainment included plenty of movie options. I'm also glad that my bags were never lost throughout all of my flights this summer on Turkish Airlines."
Contras: "I know seats in the 777-300 recline but do not disrupt the next row's space. That was not the case on the Airbus A330-300. It would be nice if the same seats were on the Airbus aircraft I flew from Istanbul to Bangkok."

Contras: "I could not find a way to ask for cancellation or reschedule"

Contras: "The pilot aborted the landing at the last minute and flew to Another airport where we sat on the runway for an hour with no information. After an hour they said it was up to us if we wanted to stay at the airport or continue on to our original destination, with no information where our connecting flights would be. After continuing on to my origina airport, I was forced to buy a visa out of pocket and spend 6 hour waiting for information from the airline. Finally they shuttled me an hour and a half to the previous airport, being very rude the entire time and making me miss the reason I traveled to my destination in the first place."

Prós: "I was surprised how comfortable it was to spend 12 hours seated in an economy seat in a flight from Sao Paulo to Istanbul! It´s the widest coach seat I know!"

Prós: "The crew is excellent"
Contras: "The seats area are too small my knees hurt as they hit just the edge of the food tray, impossible flight with the seat other than straight as you will be disturbing a lot the other passengers, although unfortunately some people do not care about the confort of the others"

Prós: "Everything was perfect"

Prós: "Large set of movie choices to pick from."
Contras: "Disappointed that I couldn't choose my meal options - was given a menu that said you could pick between more than one meal. But every single time the food cart arrived (6 total among 4 flights), was told there was no options."

Prós: "The price can't be beat for a quality, national carrier. The next highest price for my series of flights was $600 more and would have taken twice as long. Good food, good alcoholic beverages, great movies, and a nice crew too."
Contras: "Turkish Airlines was delayed over an hour. It seems like slight delays do happen with this airline; however, you do get what you pay for and I can't really complain much over a one hour delay given the ticket price."

"The crew is really friendly"

Contras: "Your crew didn't smile. They didn't seem very happy. The food was ok, but different from normal American cuisine. I didn't appreciate the crew's comments to some of my fellow passengers about how they we wouldn't eat the food. I would have liked to have been offered more to drink. Additionally I'm glad the crew is fond of one another, but they were loud and distracting. They were nicer to one another than the people flying. I didn't like being barked at and being given confusing directions regarding exiting the plane. Overall I wasn't impressed and would prefer to not fly with your airline again."

Contras: "Had wait in line for more than 1.5 hours to check in (no self-serve kiosk) and then conform to the 10kg carry-on (both backpack and suitcase) rule which didn't happen on the first flight. The staff are rude and unhelpful and the whole process of dealing with Norwegian is confusing."

Contras: "Boarding in Frankfurt Germany was horrendous! Waiting in the "extended " part of the terminal was not ventilated. When we finally took the bus to the plane, we waited on the bus more than 15 minutes in 90 degree weather, with the doors open! The crew outside were very rude and dismissive. The crew"

It was shocking to not lose hundreds of dollars for life happening and needing to change my flight. AND!! I got a free upgrade to premium economy for free!"

Contras: "flight crew hit my chair all the time with the troller. Bought the places with bigger space on the legs, that was true, but was dissapointed with the type of chair that is totally closed at the sides, with no scape room for the legs laterally."

But it took more than 20 minutes while mid way waiting for clearance to leave for the plane. The service bus did not turn on the AC while we waited even though we complained. We were suffocating. The gate counters at IGIA, New Delhi were allowing some passengers to pre-board early even though the passenger was not senior citizen or handicapped, or family with children. Food from New Delhi to Frankfurt was less than optimal in taste."

Contras: "Very bad customer experience, the seat are very uncomfortable, and they stole money from my hand bag after sending it to the plane cargo"

Prós: "The flight attendants were very friendly and efficient."

Contras: "Boarding at Frankfurt was a nightmare. All the economy class was pushing and shoving and cutting in front of other people. People were standing outside the line and putting their tickets on the entry system and the attendants were doing nothing to stop them or tell them to go to the end of the line. When left from Chicago to Frankfurt they seated you by rows and this was much more efficient. All flights should board by some system vs. just everyone trying to go at once."

Prós: "Great crews, great amenities, good food. Best flights I've been on in a long time."
Contras: "Economy seats are tough after 10 hours. But thats what I paid for so no issues."

Contras: "Seats are very uncomfortable. Body wants to slide forward."

Prós: "The staff on the flight were friendly, food was good and the overall flight was pleasant."
Contras: "The ladies at the check-in counter were very rude. Completely disregarded my wife and I. Then made jokes to each other, while servicing us."

In the counters at the airport, we asked if it was possible a solution as I suffer with big anxiety and needed to be together my partner during the flight, and they answered us in an extremely rude way. Luckily we could change it with other passangers inside the plane by ourselves. Not a fault of Lufthansa but something that made the flight HORRIBLE was an extremelly smelly and very heavy guy seated next to me that used half of my seat and made me be really uncomfortable."

Prós: "Got to sit in the top deck of the A380; Luftansa sets aside a small portion of the top deck for economy passengers. Flight was much quieter for economy passengers than on any other plane I've ever flown because the top deck is further from the engines. It was an extraordinary flight."
