Contras: "I never received anything about my booking. I went the airport Wednesday morning not knowing if I’d actually fly out. I only had on my Kayak app a trip itinerary. Thankfully I did. In Atlanta I added my Skymiles # to my trip. Upon arrival in Mexico I rec’d a push from Delta about my trip with my Record Locator. Flying home was to depart at 8am. When I rec’d my boarding pass it stated 8:55am. While waiting at my gate Delta sent me a text at 7:30am that my flight would be leaving at 8am. That confused me. Needless to say I was suppose to arrive CVG at 3:49pm, but instead was booked on a flight departing Atlanta at 4:30pm. Plans at home had to changed for Friday evening as I was not arriving at mid-afternoon. Needless to say I’ll probably not book thru Kayak anymore."

Contras: "Delta Flight #1494 On my return flight, I had to pay for a 2nd ticket to fly out early since Delta was cancelling flights to the south and I didn’t want to get stuck in Philadelphia. When the plane arrived for a layover in Atlanta, there was a flight going on from the first 2 people waiting to deplane. In my distraction and fear, I left my water bottle next to my seat. When I realized that I had left it, I went back to the gate and told the gate attendant that my bottle was next to my seat. She would not call down to the plane, nor walk down, and told me I had to wait until the entire flight had boarded. I explained that my connecting flight was boarding across the airport. The bottle was expensive and had great sentimental value. A couple times, I tried to ask people boarding the flight if they would tell a flight attendant to retrieve my bottle. The gate attendant told the boarding passenger to ignore me. When the flight had completely boarded, the gate attendant went down to the plane only to return to me to tell me that the flight attendant(s) allowed the cleaning crew to take the bottle. The gate attendant called the cleaning service and then she told me that the bottle was waiting at the tower and that I could ask at my next gate to have the bottle delivered to that gate. Since my connecting flight had already started boarding I had to run/train it across the airport to arrive at the gate. When I told the 2nd gate attendant, the story and asked him to call the tower to get my bottle, he told me that “wasn’t a thing” and that the 1st gate attendant lied to me. I had to board since they were getting ready to close the plane. This incident was compounded to many unpleasant experiences I’ve had with Delta over the past few years (losing my luggage and lying about it, damaging my suitcase, etc., etc.). I don’t understand how you can continue to be successful as an airline when you run your operation the way Delta does."
"Entertainment was very plentiful, staff were courteous. Seating was HORRIBLE. That is the most cramped I’ve ever been on any flight …Jet Blue and Spirit included. Very uncomfortable for a six hour trip."
Prós: "My flight was canceled and I don't know when or how much I will be refunded. The flight was canceled due to "maintenance" and they booked me on a new flight...for 16 hours later on the NEXT DAY. That was not acceptable for me and my travel companion since we have work today. There were no other flights and rental cars were scarce. I was able to book us tickets on a bus, and incurred costs for the bus tickets and the transportation to the bus stop. I want to be compensated for those costs AND refunded for the price of the ticket."
Contras: "Everything. There was also a lot of miscommunication about how my gate checked bag would be handled. Once I got back to Austin, my husband had to drive all the way out to the airport to retrieve my bag because they were not able to give it to me in Dallas. It was a huge inconvenience all around."

Then they decided there we were overweight (data that should be known before the cargo was loaded) and off loaded two people. Then after another delay they realised that off loading people meant off loading their baggagge, total delay nearly 2 hours The hedset socket on the entertainment system did not work The USB port did not work THey ran out of food after serving three rows, loaded four sandwiches, no wraps and 2 cheese plates for a full evening flight that was over 5 hours in duration including the delays."

Prós: "This will be my last flight on American. The seats are so narrow that I had a very uncomfortable flight, and I am a "normal size". I can imagine how uncomfortable larger people were."

Plane was almost empty, I’m 6’4 and asked mid flight to move to exit row because my knees was pressing into the forward seat. 1 person out of 6 seats were in the exit row and the gentleman attendant denied my request. I didn’t flinch about my full day of delays and connection issues but on an empty flight it would have been nice to catch a break. I landed in Pittsburgh at 12:30 at night and got to my hotel at 1:30am with an 8 am presentation. AA delays really have created a discontent with my business trips. As I use AA as my primary airline I hope this doesn’t continue or I’ll switch to United for future business trips monthly."

Contras: "This flight was operated by Avianca, the flight was delayed 2 hours at the beginning, they said they will give as a voucher for food while we wait, when I went to the counter they said they don't give anything for a 2 hours delay. Then the flight was delayed a 1/2 hour extra, it was not even announced and we ended up boarding at 12:15am from a flight that was supposed to leave at 9:35pm, then the plane was waiting for 1/2 hour before we went abroad and I ended up arriving at 2am to my destination when I was supposed to arrive at 10:45pm, this was the worst fight experience and we didn't even got an apology for the inconvenience."
Prós: "THis was an ok flight. Everything was on time and the crew was hreat. On the other hand, the food was terrible and the check in process was not expedite at all. The American Airlines crew did not know how to handle my G4 visa while checking in and they neglected to mark my bag with the orange ribbon signaling platinum status in American. This is key to getting your luggae faster in baggage claim when you have a short connection (I had less than two hours). This omission caused my suitcase to arrive last, and I had to run to make it to my next flight."

Prós: "I got these flights for dj jobs I had under a us p2 visa. My original flight to dallas was delayed from 12:56 to 8pm which would of landed me in dallas at 2:21am but the club Fat Rabbit closes at 2am Which in fact was a 1300 (US dollar) loss. I re booked my ticket to Austin from Vancouver this morning because the only reason to go dallas was my job. Was supposed to fly in have dinner play music get back on the plane n go Austin but going to dallas was irrelevant and a 7 hour delay was absolutely ridiculous."
Contras: "The fact I lost 1300.00 us has pissed me off I'm contacting AA about this I have my visa papers n contracts to show proof if not action is taken i will be contacting a lawyer"

When the gate I was waiting at finally showed the flight information to Toledo, I had to find what gate I my flight was now on and had fifteen minutes to make it to the correct gate. Had the original gate displayed the new information any later I would have missed my flight."
Contras: "The seats even in first class were so old the springs were stabbing me in the back. No entertainment system. American Airlines is ALWAYS late. I was delayed 5 hours. Food is horrid. Rating applies to all American flights I've been on."

Luggage arriving late from Denver, customer service didn't have a clue were the luggage was. As we were leaving to come back next day the luggage, we saw it in a carrousel, and pick it up. Republic flight from New Orleans it's not worth it the business class, very poor service ."
Contras: "I did not like how I requested a same day flight, was presented with a low fare, so I took it, and it was deceptively a different day months in the future. . . This is not a flight I feel I should have paid for, as I feel I was deceived"

Apparently many people can make a reservation for one seat and the first person to check in gets it. My husband and I were very upset when we found this out. Especially since we went through many hoops to get a good seat assignment."

Boarding was chaotic because children were crying because of separation. Didn't realize this fought was operated by American Airlines so I couldn't call ahead of time, but even then... There were no switching because there was zero space."

Contras: "If the baggsge fee was less onerous more people would check bags and make boarding and deplaning faster. For God's sake give people more room between seats. Board people in the back first to spee the process. First window and aisles last. This would improve on time departures."

Contras: "The flight was delayed 30 minutes causing me to lose the connecting flight home by about 5 minutes There was no effort from United to help me to get the second flight on time or from the crew on that one to delay it enough for me to arrive. They suggested I waited 9 hours for the next available flight or to get one by AA in Reagan Airport in 3 hours. They told me that transportation to that airport would not be reimbursed and would cost between 20 and 40 dollars. I didn't know the airports were that far apart and the one-hour taxi drive cost me 80 dollars. From Sao Paulo to Washington, things went as well as expected. Once landed everything was horrible."
Contras: "No WiFi on the short flight/old plane? I really like the free United movies to keep my mind off being up in the air. Wish it was standard on all their flights. It was also weird that the pilot came out of the cockpit before the flight and addresses us all using the crew mic. It was weirdly uncomfortable since it has never happened on any of the other 10,000 flights I have taken. Made me think something was wrong."

Who is going to pay over $5 to watch a plane snail its way over Saskatchewan. Seating was god awful. My knees were jammed into the seat back so badly the person in front of me couldn't recline because it was hitting my knees. Pretzels....unless you wanted to pay artisan prices for microwave food."

Contras: "The pilot's landing was way too fast. I was sure that the plane would come to a stop in Hwy 280 at the end of the Asheville runway. That plane probably needed a major brake job after that landing. We ended up at the absolute very end of the runway!"

Contras: "I have arthritis (walk with a cane) and didn't have enough leg room....hated being in a middle seat....and due to that could not stand in flight to stretch legs. Also the crew on the way to New York made sure I had a wheelchair to cross the airport in Chicago and not so in New Orleans...had to make a visit to the emergency room after getting home and be off work for 5 days due to the condition of my leg after the walk across the airport."

Prós: "There were maybe two of the flight attendants. Who weren't rude. The rest well, I guess didn't like there jobs? I lost all my money for my first flight, because i was over 4 hours late. When i purchased a ticket from cheapo air, the person helping me was so nice. Unlike United airlines, or Viama. When i missed my flight that i paid $1,300.00, United said they'd give me another ticket for $4,000? This was a one time offer to redeem my $1,300 Viama said $10,500? I will only buy my tickets from cheapo air from now on."
Contras: "The flight attendants are very snotty, 2 out of the 18 I encountered were polite. The rest acted like they hated their jobs, and all the passengers. When you travel to another country they should have at least one person who speaks English. Can't really say much for the food, essentially requesting a vegetarian meal was out of the question, so i just starve. Drink some watered down booze, take a few dramamine and sleep. The layovers are ridiculous. 14 hours, 8 hours 4 hours? Good thing God made Beer and pizza."
Prós: "The flight attendant was excellent! So kind, caring and attentive."
Prós: "Aircraft with old decoration. Could not see a single smile from the crew."

Contras: "The screen was frozen the whole flight."
Contras: "We got on board, waited 20 minutes. Capt said it was a bad reverser, and we were waiting on paperwork for 15 minutes. Long story short, they make us leave the plane after 2.5 hours. Then we wait in the airport for another 2.5 hours. I missed my connection and spent 10 hours in Chicago."
Prós: "Friendly staff, great steward! Rico. Super nice and patient with demanding people."
Contras: "Genie: Phenomenal cosmic powers! [shrinks down inside the lamp] (plane) Genie: Itty bitty living space!"

Contras: "Another late plane, extremely rude staff with the exception of one male attendant. Forced to check the same bag that I flew to California with on United Airlines by a racist, impatient, ignorant attendant. Will hesitate before I fly this airline again."
