Contras: "Check in process is a disaster. The passenger is asked to even weight the luggage to be said by the machine to gonto a counter without good reason: the only thing missing with LATAM is to pilote the plane. Awful."

Contras: "LATAM was incredibly unprofessional, alarming, and entirely non-communicative. After a 3 hour delay that caused me (and tons of others) to miss a connecting international flight, LATAM’s telephone servers had the nerve to claim I was a no show and needed to pay them for my absence. This resulted in a long discussion where I was held on hold until they could adequately determine that yes i missed the flight because they held us late. This was the only way that i was able to avoid their charge to me for being a “no show.”"

Contras: "The boarding in Rio de Janeiro was great, the land crew was very helpful. In Lima it was below par, the crew was not helpful at all, and no warnings or communications to when to board. Had to wait an hour inside the plane for some sort of maintenance."

I was travelling with my daughter and 2 yr old grandaughter and felt that they didn't give us any special attention in regards to baby.I used to be a flight attendant and In my day the standards of service were SO MUCH HIGHER!! I Will not fly Latam next time."

Prós: "The attention was good. The air attendants were quite nice. For booking my meals I had a problem with the Call center and they left me waiting for 15 minutes until I had to hang. But then I contacted the Facebook page and I received an immediate response so everything was Ok."

Contras: "The flight at first had a 3 HOUR delay do to a "mechanical breakdown". We were told that they were going to bring another airplane from Rio de Janeiro. After the 3 hours passed they were only announcing in Portuguese to board the original plane. They never changed planes or provided a clear explanation to the passengers. Many of us refused to board. This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had. The staff was disrespectful and would not help us. We ended up taking another flight until the following night!!"

Prós: "The staff at the airport was very helpful. I got in the wrong line (domestic instead of international) but they still checked me in and my luggage. I had to go over to the international line to drop my luggage and didn't have to get in line once again. The crew was very nice and I was impressed that we received a meal for a 4 hour flight. Although I understand it was considered an international flight, I wasn't expecting a full blown meal. SUPER GREAT!"

Prós: "While my flight attendants were all fine and everything was very good, my daughter flew w/ LATAM 3 days later than us and her experience was good on all flights except from Lima to Rio de Janeiro."

On July the flight was schedule for 9...pm then delayed for two hours because of a fire, other passengers said, in London. At around 11pm, we were asked to line up for boarding. We stayed on line for an hour and fnally to be told the flight was cancelled. We were treated less than animals by British Airway. No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!!! No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!! We slept on benches at the airport. To be fair to you, I will not recommend British Airway to anyone."

Prós: "Crew was very attentive and food and drink good as on most flight to and from City Airport. Seats very comfortable compared to main fleet. City Flyer is still worth paying the extra which most flight by main fleet ex Heathrow or Gatwick are not."

Contras: "I was frustrated that I had to pay for either a cup of coffee or water. Since all healthcare providers recommend that one must drink water on a flight to stay hydrated and healthy, a complimentary bottle of water would have supported healthy travel. Due to a short layover in Heathrow, I had no time to fill my own water bottle."

It ended up being 1.5 hours delayed plus a 3 hour flight with no food. You could purchase snacks and drinks, including water. I learned my lesson to buy before going on the plane next time."

Didn't have to pay for extra leg room in exit aisle - probably because no-one had bought them when I checked in at airport. Would definitely recommend."
Contras: "Only downside is crew member in Seville at the airport gate could not be understood. She spoke English with such a thick Spanish accent and intonations that no-one understood what she was saying on the speaker. She also sounded as if she was arguing, as opposed to inviting us on board in a welcoming and orderly fashion. Although at times funny, it ultimately translated into a lot of noise on her part, and a headache on my part."

Contras: "Overall loved my emergency row seat the only negative for my particular seat was once the rest of my row was filled in and the 2 seats in front of me it made it impossible to get out of the seat and stand up unless I could had the person sitting in front of me get out of his seat."

Prós: "This was my first time on an Airbus A380 and I must say that I'm still in awe of how an aircraft this large can be so quiet and smooth, let alone get in the air. Boarding was smooth. Entertainment was great and the food (depending on what you got) was okay. The inflight crew was nice and helpful."
Contras: "Economy seats are very uncomfortable. I am 6'4 and there isn't that much space. It's even worse when you have a kid sitting in front with his seat reclined all the way back - so the little room I had to start with became even worse. Not to mention he kept rocking his chair back in forth, passed gas about 5 times, felt the need to stretch his arm behind him 3 times so his hand was blocking my screen. I really never got comfortable in my seat during the 11 hour flight. For a plane this large, i would of expected a little bit more comfort, especially when I felt it on AA 777"

Prós: "the only somewhat helpful person was the customer service attendant that i called the day before i flew who tried his best to be helpful after the worst flying experiences i have ever had"
Contras: "the lack of anyone willing to assist me in the airport, over the phone, online. i was not able to check in had to call customer service several times because i was getting hung up on or told that nothing could be done to check me in, issue me boarding passes or just answer general questions. Went to the airport 3 hours prior for a transatlantic flight like recommended (6:45). The attendants showed up to the desk at 8, with no sign as to when they would show up even though the desk was getting called constantly starting at 7am. was told that in dublin we would have to check in to flight and we would be assigned seats then. even thought the attendant printed our boarding passes for the connecting flight but did not give them to us. When in dublin was told that we had already been checked in and we could have been assigned our seats in madrid by the connections desk. When talking to others on same flight they told us they were allowed to checkin into all flights and had no issues at the airport"

Prós: "The cabin crew, as always, were unfailing patient and polite and as helpful as they could be. Given the situation with the IT problem at BA, it was amazing that we were scheduled, and took off on time and arrived in Tel Aviv on time. Congratulations to all!"
Contras: "We were at the back of the plane, which was pretty difficult for my 6'6" husband and his long legs. We were told every seat was full (because of the IT problem). However, after takeoff it became apparent that there were some empty seats, but they weren't offered to us. One man was asleep across three exit row seats, for example. We had two seats in a three seat row, which would have given us a bit more room, but a woman was moved to the window seat with us, to accommodate a religious man who didn't want to sit next to her. She was very nice, but the whole situation was annoying and distasteful. And, unfortunately, the food was just as bad as our last flight."

Prós: "one of the crew members (Ana) was not only rude and bumping the food cart everywhere, she apparently did not learning as kid the basic of thank you and please. In addition her personal manners of cleaning her nose with her hand, was not only disgusting but unhygienic."

Prós: "Gate for flight to Paris from Chicago was changed at least 4 times. At the gate boarding was supposed to start at 10:15. Kept getting delayed until 11pm and then it finally got cancelled. Noone directed us on what to do. It is 20hours later and I still haven't made it 6to my destination."
Contras: "My luggage is lost and none of the American Airlines have been able to locate it. I will never fly with American Airlines again."

Got to gate 13 minutes prior and was informed our tickets were given away to standby travelers since it was a busy day. 12 hours later we got to new York could not board standby to Philadelphia. Our bags made it to Philadelphia."

Contras: "1) The handlers weren't at the gate to bring the gate to the plane so we could disembark. 2) After that, the door into the PHL airport itself was locked, and we had to wait almost 5 minutes for someone to come and unlock it. 3) One would think those delays would have given our baggage plenty of time to be unloaded, but no... First all the baggage from another flight emptied onto the baggage carousel, and then maybe 15 minutes or so later our bags began to dribble out. Our plane got to the gate a little past 9pm, I barely made it out of the airport by 10pm. It just shouldn't take that long."

Contras: "Instead of flying MIA-EWR I was sent to ORD and then to EWR arriving at 11:00pm"

Contras: "Airline Attendant ride. Not 2 me. I stayed away from her seeing how she talked to other patrons. Yelling “get with the program. I’ll be watching you” for simple mistakes made before door of plane closed. Tried to talk elderly woman out of tea because she was lazy and didn’t bring hot water on her cart. Eventually brought it but why try to talk her out of it. Heavy set dark brown tall Attendant on flight 5874 Mesa Airlines. Lost my luggage. More and more friends, family & 1 flight expert says AA gets more complaints. Will try booking with another airline carrier in future unless absolute emergency to take AA. Worth $40.00 or more extra to get friendly service."

Contras: "I am not tall but there was no leg room. My knees were in the back of seat. And when passenger in front reclined???? Arggh"

Contras: "Six “10 min delays” that led to a 1 hr plus delay"

And “AA” has a really good reputation ... so pretty bummed out ... the apologized ... and did what hey could to make the flight more pleasant ... but i’m here for my daughter who’s having surgery in the morning and .. it’s now 0107 and we should have been here at 2356 ... and we are all tired"

Contras: "The flight was late due to maintenance and caused us to miss our connecting flight to Chicago. American Airlines customer assistance at the airport was absolutely terrible. They were rude and inconsiderate as they kept suggesting to fly standby. We shouldn't have to fly standby when it wasn't our fault why were late. They told us our bags would be ok going to Chicago and they we would make the flight, but we did not. I do not know why didn't wait for us considering there were 8 others that also missed the connecting flight. We had to fly to Denver and stay overnight with no luggage and catch a 7:00am flight to Chicago. The last surprise I received was my damaged bag when I got back to Chicago. Thank you for making this trip memorable in a terrible way. I will never book or recommend Kayak or use American Airlines again."

Contras: "AA did not wait for us. Just closed the gate after we showed the boarding passes. Unbelievable. They did not reallocated in later flight, only standby. Finally got a connection 6h later. NBaggage was damaged at arrival in DCA. Could it be any worse"

Prós: "The flight itself was fine -- I never felt any major discomfort."
Contras: "All three of our luggage were left behind in Chicago; normally it would not be a big deal, but we are leaving for a trip right away and needed our suitcases, clothes, and the souvenirs we had bought for our friends. This inconvenience is why I rated this flight low."

Prós: "Nice crew"
Contras: "I booked a LATAM flight for a 10.5 hour flight specifically because they have better in flight entertainment. I arrived at the airport and found it it was operated by AA. 10.5 hours with zero in flight entertainment. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE."

Prós: "The dinner was decent"
Contras: "There was NO in-seat entertainment or place to charge mobile devices. Very uncomfortable seats. This plane was very old. 9.5 hr flight was pretty unpleasant."

Contras: "Despite being listed as vegans, we were not provided with vegan meals. When pointed out to the staff, we were given a small packet of soy crackers."

Prós: "Not very much positive to say unfortunately. The staff were good and did as much as they could to keep up feed and happy."
Contras: "The plane was extremely old and dated. Never been on such an old plane with no up to date equipment or facilities. The chairs were very uncomfortable and the food was awful. There was no personal entertainment screen for an 11 hour flight and only one of the safety demonstration screens was working during take off. Also no plugs at all."

Prós: "Very smooth fast check in"

Contras: "No individual TVs, electric plug nor WiFi"

Contras: "Extremely old plane"

Prós: "Movies in flight."
Contras: "That I was rebooked and lied to at first as to why, and when getting another ticket the the ticket agent said the flight was rebook because "the crew didn't want to come to work". Not cool, I didn't react I simply got my ticket and just wemtnonw but there was no apology like they didn't care what I missed having to be rebooked I also wasn't given any sort of military discount no seats no baggage. Other airlines I've flown the past months always do something for military."

Prós: "Fantastic"
Contras: "None"

Contras: "crew did not pick up the food tray for a long time crew borderline corteous"

Prós: "Good crew Lucky to get better seats!"
Contras: "Poor Selection of entertainment not enough screen"

Prós: "Nothing"
Contras: "The flight attendants were Garbade"

Prós: "Leaving the plane was my favorite part. Entertainment was one of the best (American run flight and plane)."
Contras: "Seats were very cramped and did not recline enough to get comfortable. Temperature of the cabin was hot then cold. No sleep again. But the cabin crew looked refreshed in the morning. Guess they had better seats. It should be a law that all airline employees from the CEO on down should only be able to fly in coach. Maybe then the seats will get better."

Prós: "On time performance; friendly, competent staff."

Prós: "Smooth flight and landing."
Contras: "If you're over 5'7 you gotta watch your head"

Prós: "I really appreciated the drink cart coming through several times. The air is so dry on a plane, it's nice to stay hydrated."
Contras: "One older flight attendant was rude to the younger for no good reason. She was abrasive throughout the flight. The rest of the flight attendants were great."

Prós: "Had a airline steward named Scott that was very pleasant and nice all throughout the flight."
Contras: "The plane was late/delayed going from Dallas to Colorado and the plane going from Colorado back to Dallas was late/delayed as well ."

Prós: "On time"
Contras: "We were so crowded. No leg room. The lady next to me was too big for her seat so it was hot and sweaty the whole way"

Contras: "Delays and no communication on transfer options"

Prós: "The access ramp lessen the risk of tripping over I've experienced with the steps in the past."
Contras: "Corny jokes from the male cabin crew don't improve the flight in experience, we're crammed in like cattle and given a LTA meal and coffee."

Prós: "I was 10 minutes late for the flight. People were still lined up to board and the customer service agent taking the tickets refused to accept mine and told me I would have to reschedule. Instead of allowing me to board in line with the other passengers, they choose to delay the flight by another 30 minutes to put in a request to pull my luggage from the flight. It would have been so much easier to just let me board. I've been a few minutes late before and have never been treated like that by any airline. Very disappointed in American Airlines."
