One of the better airlines I have flown

Passengers were very unruly, getting up out if their seats and rummaging in overhead bins nearly the minute the plane took off and the cabin crew just ignored it. Also the deplaning was similarly disorganized with people shoving their way through to get off faster. Very unpleasant experience.

Despite 5 calls to Swiss to reroute me out of Montreal, an airport I could actually get to, they would not relent. I finally just drove there and a really nice agent changed my flight since Logan was closed and all public transport was shut down. Even if my scheduled flight from boston wasn't canceled (I have no idea) they were incredibly unhelpful about the fact that I physically could not get to logan in time for my flight. (Mass DOT was asking everyone to stay off ALL roads). THEN on the way home, they would NOT let me fly back to Montreal where my car was!! WAY TOO RIGID RULES. Screw the customer!"

A viagem e o atendimento

Voo com atraso, Equipe atenciosa. Entretenimento não se aplica. Tivemos problema com a liberação da bagagem, ficamos mais de uma hora na esteira à espera da bagagem sem nenhuma informação. O problema foi com a bagagem de todos os passageiros. Depois de uma hora e trinta quando formou-se uma enorme fila para reclamar as malas a bagagem foi lebrada. Até então nenhuma informação. Muitos passageiros habitantes de Munique foram embora e suas bagagens estavam na esteira.

They ask for electronic vaccination status to be downloaded but then they ask to see it again!!! Whats the point of downloading?? Also economy class was allowed to board through business and were not told to go to a different line

So now even with a 200€ flight you get only water and a piece of chocolate, no more food. Aircraft was 30 minutes late and no information on connection flights.

O atendimento foi ótimo, seja no embarque seja no avião, todos muito atenciosos...

Voo atrasou uma hora para aguardar passageiros em conexão.

Tenho necessidades especiais de alimentação (doença celíaca) e fiquei com pouca opção para o lanche a bordo no trajeto Amsterdão/Lisboa.

Both airports totally understaffed. Awful experience.

Over 3 hours of delay without any assistance from klm

Fui muito bem assistida, principalmente pq antes de voar eu despenquei da escada rolante e recebi uma assistência incrível. Mas a comida e a variedade de filmes muito ruins.

Travelling from Nigeria was a nightmare. Those thugs at the airport gave my husband and i hell because we had our boarding passes on our phone. We had to keep bribing and begging them to let us through. It is the worse travel experience I’ve ever ever had in my entire life. And I travel a lot

Was a problem check in with the internet .had to wait to get to Cophenhagen to check it to my flight to Chicago

One airline attendant at the gate is not enough. Due to incompetence of the airline attended missed my flight home, which ruined my vacation.

Consideration of family seated together. I would recommend and fly with SAS again.

Everything went well

I missed two connections because the flights were late. I was given a substitute itinerary that had more layovers in different cities, one of which was Oslo, which is quite possibly the worst airport I’ve ever experienced. I arrived to my destination 3 hours later than expected, which made my taxi ride to my hotel more expensive because of traffic. And then to top it all off, they misplaced my luggage. And as I watch it move through their system because of an AirTag placed in my suitcase, it’s quite clear that they are in no hurry to get it to my hotel.

It had a good range of movies but the flight map was broken at my seat. I tried both online and by calling to request a menu and the wait to speak with someone was 45 minutes, and there was nothing on line that allowed me to choose a meal option. The plane was small and all seats were taken. After the meal there were incredibly long lines for only two toilets. Finally, SAS lost our luggage, which can of course happen, but there were more than 50 people waiting around at the carousel and nobody from SAS came to tell us the truth. Finally news trickled back to us by word of mouth and when we got to the SAS baggage consigne, there was only one SAS woman working there and she refused even when asked to announce to us what had happened so we would have some idea. Instead she told someone who told someone else and again by word of mouth we found forms to fill out about who we were and where we were staying. I stood in line for 45 minutes and only then would she explain the luggage had been left in Copenhagen but would arrive that night or the next day--something she could easily have shared with the group instead of leaving everybody in the dark. And at no time did another SAS official or staff member come to help all of us standing there, some of the group waiting with no news for 2 hours when the SAS lady knew full well what had happened. It is shameful. Will never fly SAS again.

The food was terrible and the crew didn’t speak any Scandinavian language and were very loud like on their own trip

Contras: "One seat was wet and steward had to provide blanket for my friend to sit on, one other persons bag got stained as floor was wet in front of her and bottom of middle seat magazine holder was also wet! Also flight was delayed leaving and there was rubbish and chewing gum from previous flights. we had to clean the tables ourselves with wet wipes as they were dirty from previous flights."
Prós: "The flight itself was pretty good."
Contras: "Over 30 degrees Celsius at Hamburg airport. They don’t even have a decent air conditioning system! How unbelievable is that? Even in africa or South America the airports are more comfortable in terms of internal temperatute. Hambur airport was like a greenhouse. and all passengers there were like roasted turkeys inside a giant hot oven! Worst airport experience ever!"
Contras: "Service was great"
Contras: "Very cramped airplane on an 8 hour flight!!! Plus, no meal on trans-atlantic flight??!!"
Prós: "We mentioned it was our anniversary and thought about moving up to SAS Plus, but the cost was not an option to us. She moved us up before we got on the plane! Extremely nice!!"
Prós: "The 2 gate agents were very helpful and nice, as well as the on-board flight attendants, all were very professional and did a good job for the most part."
Contras: "a few little things, nothing worth mentioning..."
Contras: "Our suitcase was damaged. Because we did not notice this until we got to our apartment we found that it is not possible to make acclaim, rather you just have to make a general complaint with a response according to SAS likely in 3 weeks. This process took over an hour of my time. The three tel numbers given to report damage are in Scandinavia and not much use when travelling within the UK."

Contras: "70euro baggage fee at counter check in while flying on SAS. The same fee is 13 Euro if is bag selected at the time of ticket booking. kayak never gave me the option."
Contras: "I did not like my flight because ... I could not take it! I needed to change only one date (return) and was quoted $1300 for that one change. Getting a completely new ticket was cheaper, but not cheap. With such cost of even minor changes, next time I will look into booking directly with airlines, instead of Kayak; sorry to say that, as I really liked using your service."
Contras: "No one from the flight crew gave us the border card. We waited in the border line only to be told once we reached the front that we needed to leave the line to fill one out. No guest on the Oslo to Edinburgh flight was given one."
Prós: "The cabin is new and the crew is professional and nice"
Contras: "Food needs much improvement, it's the same menu as last year. They charge a fee for booking desired seats where they didn't have last year. Entertainment can have more recent movies."
Prós: "Easy boarding"
Contras: "No food option, Drinks are not free(international flight), no toilet paper"
Contras: "Delayed departure. Temperature in cabin was uncomfortably hot while waiting for departure."
Prós: "There was enough space for your legs, there were blankets and pillows which is nice for a long flight. The individual entertainment screen is preferable for a long flight, so you can watch a movie of your own choice."
Contras: "There were two diner options, chicken or cod, and I was just given the cod without having an option to choose."
Prós: "Shorter than usual flight, captain made the flight in 1 hour 15 minutes!"
Contras: "Flight delay of over two hours No snacks and drinks limited because of limited supply on board replacement plane"
Prós: "Everything was great, food, blanket & pillow, movies, friendly service."
Contras: "The 3 hour delay for landing. Had a 2 hour drive home from the airport, hard to stay awake. So tired for work the next morning."
Prós: "Fantastic crew"
Contras: "The plane was a half hour or so late taking off. We waited on the plane for most of that half hour with no explanation of why When calling rows to board -- after calling rows 1 through 13 she then called rows 41 and after. She skipped our row 14. This could definitely be an issue with overhead space"
Contras: "I was sitting next to a special needs man and the crew was extremely unhelpful towards him. He should not have been flying alone and they did not help him at all. When you handed out the customs form he told the stewardess he needed help and she ignored him. When I pressed the call button for him it took someone 35minutes to come back and then she told him she would help him after dinner. I pressed a call button the second time to help him find something and again it took over 30 minutes for someone to come back to us. If there was a real emergency this delay would have been a huge problem. The stewardess was extremely rude in general."
Contras: "Seats are bit dence. It would have been nice to get a complimentary soft drink, even it's a short flight"
Prós: "Attendants allowed any standing to ease weary legs as long as it was out of the way."
Contras: "We were delayed before boarding, then delayed again upon landing. Hence, we missed our connection and had to fly to Copenhagen and not arrive in Helsinki until after midnight."
Prós: "Free upgrade to SAS Plus, what's not to like!"

Lost luggage

I was unable to make this flight due to cancellation of my first leg. Aer Lingus is impossible to reach by phone, so I am still struggling to figure out if I will lose my return trip.

No food nor entertainment, so the survey needs an n/a choice. One hour flight, but water or coffee/tea would have been nice. Tall people were cramped.

The complimentary WiFi only worked occasionally. Can not understand how Aer Lingus claim to be a 4* airline."

We talked to a person from Air Lingus and he said it happens often but there's nothing to do. on board, the head sets are very old and you could only hear from one ear using the head set provided by Air Lingus. in 2018 ?! seriously !?"

Contras: "My plane was broken, they had no idea when and if we were going fly away. Once the plane was brought to the gate, mechanics had the engine apart inspecting it. Then they caused a fuel spill during fill up which caused the fire trucks to come. This was very discomforting for 300 people waiting for 4+ hours to get on their plane. Once on the plane internet did not work, and my in seat entertainment was rebooting often. I spent 7+ hours at Dublin Airport, sick with a sinus congestion... Plus all the restaurants and shops were closed due to it being after hours of their operation. Last time flying this airline."
Prós: "Your staff are very friendly. But you probably need more staff to help people with self check in as there were a few elderly people standing around not knowing how to use the self check in ."
Contras: "Was not happy about paying extra for my luggage . At the price I paid for my flight I would have expected a luggage allowance of one check in bag."
Prós: "Friendly staff with excellent humour, and an efficiently short flight time."
Prós: "Overall very. I was there when the check station was down caused delays. But staff were very helpful."

Contras: "We reserved specific seats by calling Aer Lingus directly 4 months prior to our trip. When we arrived in Dublin from Paris, we were told by a very uncaring Aer Lingus representative that those seats were not available and were assigned seats that split up our family. He acted as if he could care less. The food was average. I have never flown internationally and had to pay for alcohol. Seat space is never great in economy, but this was one of the worst. Luggage for our entire family was lost for 36 hours."
Contras: "I can't actually make a comment on the food since u have to pay for it and I didn't want to. Nothing appealed enough to pay for it. Entertainment wise, there was no entertainment so I have it one star"
Prós: "Luggage was couriered and arrived 9 hours later."
Contras: "That our luggage wasn't on the flight and we only realised after waiting/looking for over half an hour. Then had to do the missing report, all after a long flight. Couldn't someone in Dublin have rung and warned us?"
Prós: "The flight was nearly empty. Never had that silent, and peaceful flight. Everyone found there space and fell asleep."

Prós: "I liked doing immigration in Dublin rather than Chicago, even though the process was lengthy. We couldn't understand why, having done the automated system, the process was virtually repeated at the immigration desk. Queues were very long."
Contras: "As above plus my husband's seat arm was broken. The inflight entertainment system was a joke. Back of seat screens fitted but not working. Very distant ceiling screens and only one working before the whole system failed. Not acceptable on a long flight."
Prós: "The comfort of the plane was great compared to Ryan air"
Contras: "I don't like that I must travel to Dublin from cork to fly to Amsterdam for a cheaper flight"
Contras: "My seat was changed and I was in the middle seat, not the window seat I had selected weeks earlier. My brother and his daughter had their seats changed, too, and they were in middle seats 14 rows apart, so she flew by herself on an international flight all by hersel! My headphones wouldn't work correctly in the double jack, only getting one side. Why change the plugs? The flight attendant said that they wouldn't work and that she would get me a headset. Two hours into the flight I finally got a headset. The male flight attendant was great, but unfortunately we were dealing with others that totally ignored my two small requests for the entire 6 hour flight. Our flight to Dublin was awesome, but this flight back was very very disappointing!! Changed my while feeling about Aer Lingus"
