We enjoyed being on the ocean and the staff were friendly. We requested and booked an oceanfront king-size room & we were provided with an oceanfront that's view was blocked by palm trees and the room had two double beds. When I told them of what we requested they were willing to give us the room that we had requested but not until the next day. The back glass door to our room was also broken and someone could easily access our room. We had to call someone to come fix the door late at night. The food was also not good.
The staff at this hotel is what really makes this the place to stay in Cancun. Everyone we encountered were all so amazing, friendly, tended to any issues that came up very quickly and didn't make me feel like a bother. The facilities were awesome and their beach was breathtaking. Be sure to check Luis at the beach bar for a burger as well!
Staff in every area (front desk, bellhop concierge, wait staff, etc) were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was located right on the beach with walk out and for the price, was much better than other places we considered. Angel at the Spa did an exceptional job with a massage - I had one on the beach and one at the spa and both were wonderful in their own ways. I loved that based on the room we got, we also got our own personal cabana so we never had to wake early to secure a chair on the beach. The beach was kept clean and I like that the vendors were NOT allowed to come up to us since I've been at other resorts where we've been pestered to buy things every few minutes, which can make it hard to relax. Had we stayed for longer than the 4 nights we had been there, I feel we would have run out of the best types of things to eat while there. I would have liked to see more item choices at the sit-down dining. This was my first time at an all inclusive & because I like to try new things, I would personally also like to see a cocktails/drinks menu of some sort instead of having to know what you wanted.
I liked the proximity to shops. The variety of restaurants and services. No AC for 3 days!!! Mo called numerous times! I had a beautiful parking lot view, terrible customer service with refund after upgrade failed. Leak in room, musty smell in room. Essentially a motel room.
All you can drink and eat. The tours offered in the hotel were about 20% more expensive then booking online
The hotel was clean, the food was good, and everyone was friendly and engaged. Excursions were easy to schedule and we had a great time every day. Plan to return with kids in tow next year. Definitely recommend. Losing my GoPro to the beautiful ocean waters.... :( Like all of Cancun, be prepared to hear many soft sell pitches.
Beach was great, but that is more a credit to Cancun than this particular hotel. Staff was pleasant and attentive The room offered was worse than a low-end roadside motel. They had "helpful" front desk that offered the room expected for an additional $50(lagoon view)-150 (ocean)/night. The lowest end room shown on the website was nothing like the room adjacent to the parking lot that we were given. It was so bad that they actually gave us the "upgrade" to the room we paid for free of charge rather than attempting to get the extra $50. To be clear this is a three star hotel at best and I walked in expecting that. The motel room I was given wasn't even offered at the 2-star properties that I viewed on the travel sites (kayak/expedia/priceline) prior to booking
Location! Service - extremely attentive staff Beach - gorgeous. NIce sand, lifeguards on duty Pool - lovely Beautiful Hotel. True to the photos. You can also visit the sister resort in Playa del carmen - beautiful. Just don't take the bus there! I would rent a car. Food - not impressive. Cafeteria quality with the exception of a great breakfast and the Italian restaurant. Deserts were not good Spa service good value, but lacked luxury. Staff was nice.
Room Location Food Some part of the hotel a bit worn out
By beach, free drinks Staff was rude. Rooms and restaurants were warm and muggy. Customer service was poor.
The hosted Víctor, he was very agressive whit us abouth the hotel rewards program
The most friendliest and helpful staff I've ever experienced. They definitely go the extra mile with a smile. The food was a disappointment, and the alcohol was not the best. Maybe having more of a variety and top shelf . You could offer an all inclusive upgrade to offer better selections. the all inclusive upgrade would require a different color band and pay extra.
We stayed last year and came back for more! The grounds are well maintained, the staff is friendly and willing to help. Are flight was cancelled and we were on hold with the airline for more than two hours. The concierge stayed with us the whole time and the hotel staff went out of there way to make sure we had accommodations for the night in the same room. We loved our poolside drink waiter who checked to make sure we had a full cocktail at all times. The poolside restaurant serves the best fish taco's and the overall food was wonderful. We didn't have a bad meal. We love the size of this property, not to big but just enough to keep you entertained. We will definitely be back next year.
It was ok. Nothing special. It was too expensive for the value. Staffs were helpful. Old resort. Rooms were cold even I took one of the best ocean front room. The Lock didn't work. Door got stuck several times. To me it doesn't worth the money we spent
Food was great as well as location. Great services throughout hotel. The beds were not very comfortable
Food was awesome Time share salesman are annoying
Exceptionally friendly service that was readily accessible for both english and spanish speakers. Nice variety of food. Facilities and grounds were well maintained. Very clean rooms with potable water in the room. Very large beach with a bar on the beach. Sea turtles laid eggs on the beach during our stay and we were able to release baby sea turtles into the ocean on one of the nights. Would definitely stay hear again in the future.
Nice pool and bars. Comfort rooms. Close to the beach. Staff always wabt tips. Rooms are not clean. Nothing to do inthe evening. Not putting enough alocohol on the drinks. Low variaty of food.
The staff was very friendly. Besides their timeshare sales shpiel, they didn't try to up sell us or push us into any additional purchases. The restaurants on the property were really good; much better than other all inclusives we are familiar with. Even though we were in an upgraded room, the new fixtures were already coming off of the walls. Some of the outlets weren't connected to anything. Also, there were millions of ants. They sprayed on our balcony and in the room while we were there. My husband and I were eaten up.
Great service, best I've ever had I'm in a clinic now with all the typical symptoms of "Mexico", but unless it's from unknown bugs in the room then it's not their fault anyway
Hotel staff were top notch. Bartending staff, especially Armando, Rudulfo & Carlos were great and really made our stay exceptional. All inclusive drink quality was better than expected and includes decent brands like Cabo, Hornitos, Barcardi, Jack, etc. By the second day, our drinks were made without having to ask as they remember your name and what you like to drink. Also appreciated that the lobby bar stays open til 1am, The Michael Jackson show that was preformed was better than the Cirque du Soleil M.J. tribute show that I saw back in the U.S. recently. Food was also fantastic. I especially enjoyed the Italian restaurant and the Ceviche bar out by the beach. Also enjoyed the poolside grilling that was done each day and the outdoor evening bar-b-que dinner served poolside. Pool itself was visually stunning with lots of tropical trees and plants. Pool bars were great to hang out at throughout the whole day. In my opinion, the rooms were clean, comfortable and seemed to have all you really needed. Ours was on first level with great view of pool and large lanai. I would without a doubt return to this property even over the other higher end property that I stayed at during the same trip to Cancun (Hyatt Zilara). Thank you Fiesta Americana Condesa and hope see you again next year. I understand this is a family hotel, but kids should not be allowed to sit up at the bars. Several times, I saw children sometimes with and without their parents drinking non alcoholic drinks up at the pool/beach bars. Why some parents think this is ok, is beyond me. When I have my kid with me, I never allow him to sit at the bar.
Nice grounds, although it looks likes its getting a little older. Staff was great, every single one of them Spa was great. The food was bad. I kept on trying to give this place 2nd and 3rd chances to see if they had anything good. But I was constantly disappointed. It was edible, but far from good. The nail in the coffin is when we got a taco from the airport and it was better than all the food we had at this hotel. Room felt a little dirty, shower leaked, shower glass door had someone's name scratched into it.
The perfect hotel - paradise. Hotel guests start "reserving" lounge chairs by the pool around 7am by leaving towels there; then they don't come back til much later. This is to be expected I guess, not an issue with the hotel itself. Just good to be aware of before you go.
Everything was excellent and the staff was excellent as well
The pools are amazing, the grounds well kept and the staff are all friendly. The aromatherapy is too strong in some places. Painting going on in the main lobby the day we left - left me with a BIG headache. We had to check out of our room at noon. Planned to grab a quick lunch before leaving but nothing available between 12-1 except room service and a couple of places outside in the 100+ temps.
Common areas, beach, friendliness of the staff, the room view, close to La Isla shopping mall -
The hotel is suppossed to ve o e of the best in Cancun, but it is a great disapointment
A great place, I met my kids there for some relaxing togetherness! The staff is friendly, helpful without being pushy. The place is clean, beautiful and laid back. People from all over the world to meet and enough food variety to keep you from getting bored. This visit it wasn't too crowded but I've been there in the past where you have to stalk out your place at the pool. We went because we love the place and got a great deal through Kayak I couldn't afford it at regular price. I would love to get notification that Live Aqua wasn't crowded and had a deal going on - I'd be there again in a minute.
Attentive Staff, Always willing to take in special requests to make trip more enjoyable, beautiful property, the weather is PERFECT in January. Never seemed overly crowded, even with the weekend group there Our airline cancelled our flight and we missed the first day of our trip. We called immediately after finding out but the hotel would not refund our money for that first day, even with proof of the cancellation of our flight. We had to eat that cost.
Nice food and stuff. Room with two separate beds. Uncomfortable
Awesome service! Very clean beach! Super good food! Great rooms! Loved the "adult only" part! Overall perfect vacation!! There is nothing we didn't like!
Needs longer night entertainment hours.
We liked a good food and service was excellent There was no night bar and nothing to do after 9pm. A small selection of restaurants for dinner
Fantastic amenities and an incredibly welcoming staff. Meals were outstanding and each request was handled promptly and expeditiously. I would highly recommend this Hyatt!! The adult only aspect sets it apart and it makes it a more serene and relaxing environment for single or adults wanting to unwind and relax.
the massages at the spa were incredible!!
The staff was amazing, very welcoming and surprised us with cute things sent to the room to celebrate a birthday. Very impressed with the cleanliness and amenities of this hotel. Food at the pelicanos could be better, very fried and bar like good options. Would like to see a smoothie bar or fresh juice area.
Best on the strip
Beautiful poolside view of the beach Comfortable room with amazing view of pool and beach Friendly staff! Great food if you are a seafood lover. If not, you may not like the other options available. Spice needs to add tostadas to their breakfast menu!
Can't say enough good things about our stay at Hyatt Zilara. From the moment we stepped foot from our airport transfer, every single staff member that we interacted with throughout our stay was completely warm, courteous helpful, and just extremely nice. I concluded that the reason the property is prettier than neighboring resorts has to be due to the fact that there was always a small number of staff maintaining a meticulous level of cleanliness and presentation. The open air concept of the hotel is neat and helps to provide that tropical feel. As an all inclusive, adults only resort, food and drinks were also amazing...not to mention that they have all of the popular premium liquors (Grey Goose, Capt Morgan, Crown Royal etc). Finally, it's even prettier than the photos that you'll find on the web!
There was a lot of options majority of people spoke English Very unsanitary I personally don't eat pork and they use the same fryers same thongs same plastic gloves. I'm allergic to milk at the Japanese resturant the desert had a mango cream as the wait staff 5 times does it consist milk the answer was no, lied
Greeted me with a cocktail at checkin. Everyone was so friendly. Best trip ever!! No complaints
The view was great. Reservations for the specialty restaurants were impossible if you wanted to see the sights outside of the resort. Because we went on excursions , we were only able to get into two of the specialty restaurants.
The entertainment staff, food Beach had rocks
Best location and great property!!!! Two jacuzzi was waste. One outside balcony and one inside by bed .
The room was very nice and great view So we seen about 3 roaches in our room and the food is not good with the exception of ' The steak house' which is the best one of them all. NO NIGHT LIFE!..I mean someone even complained about our music playing in our room which wasn't even loud..
Everything. The rooms were great! very clean! the food was really good and more importantly the service was fantastic. excellent staff. Will definitely be back.
The hotel director... Allba We booked this for arrival on jan 5, 2016. Someone had booked it for arrival on jan 5 2015. Hotel was completely booked,. Waited two hrs for a dirty room. Next day put us in upgraded room and alba...hotel director tried to make amends.
Location Service Environment Food Beds Pillows
Everything about this resort was amazing! The food, staff, location etc! I could go on forever! It is almost like a completely different resort from day to night. During the day there is tons of entertainment around the pool and beach and then at night everyone gets dressed up for a nice dinner. The only 1 complaint that I have is although the bed is beautiful it's extremely uncomfortable!
This was such an incredible resort! I loved every minute. The staff was excellent and friendly, the food was great, the location was amazing. I loved how many lounge chairs they had as we never had to get to the pool early to secure out spots. I can't wait to go back! I would have loved if they had more of the large bed cabanas. They were amazing, but there were only like 6 and so were taken quickly. But honestly, that's not really a complaint because this place was the best.
Everything is clean, tasty, and designed to make the guest happy. AC was not strong enough in the main restaurants.
The staff was excellent!! The whole resort was extremely clean and beautiful!! I will definitely be back!!
The resort was great not a dull moment, beach was beautiful and the rooms were outstanding. Food was pretty great as well, especially the Asian and French restaurants, although, I enjoyed them all. The staff took our stay to the nextt level They know your name, cater to your every whim and genuinely want you to have a good time. The event coordinators we met(Marcos, Luis, Joe and Nestor) made sure there was plenty to do every day if that's what your in to and the bar tenders and drink staff were incredible. Ever was our bar hop and he went above and beyond for us! Love this resort, will most certainly be back! No real complaints, ran out of sunscreen at the resort was like 28 USD seemed a bit much. The hookahs they offer were a bit dated and was not impressed with their quality.
You won't be disappointed - beautiful-top of line service - great restaurants- entertainment and more. There is a great atmosphere and the beaches are picturesque. I will be back for sure Sunscreen too expensive
The grounds are great. Really liked the setup. People were so nice. Really a great place to visit. Did NOT like the glass bathroom doors. No privacy.
The service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly. There are a lot of restaurant choices and the food was good. The hotel is large but very spread out making it feel more intimate. There is no privacy in the bathroom.
It's right on the beach with plenty of pools and bars to kick it at. The staff is very professional, and > 90% are bilingual. There is even a water sports hut at the end of the beach where you can rent jet skis, parasailing, water jet packs, etc. If you're going here in the off-season like we did, I would note that the back side of the hotel (where all the pools and beach are located) does NOT face the sun!! So it gets dark a little early for our taste. The sun went down behind the big hotel at like 3 PM each day. We started waking up at 8 AM to get the most out of our day once we overslept and found out the hard way.
The location of the resort was perfect. Very close to the shopping, supermarkets, restaurants, ferry to Isla Mujeres. The beach on the resort was also very beautiful. The resort itself was also incredibly nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely go back to this resort. We had dinner at the Mexican restaurant in the resort one night; which is a buffet as opposed to a la carte ordering. The dinner was very expensive and "included drinks," however the available drink selection was limited to cheap options that I wouldn't order normally. We also ate dinner a little on the later side and it appeared that the food in the buffet was sitting around for a while before we showed up to eat. All in all, I recommend eating outside of the resort. You will get better food at lower prices.
The resort was clean, our room was spacious, the beach was beautiful and the food was delicious. We cannot wait for another visit.
High quality luxury hotel with compact layout. Pools and beach about a minute walking from the main lobby area. Beach has little surf and is very swim-able. Bars and restaurants were all high quality and reasonably cheap. I took a mini suite which has a seating area between the sleeping area and the balcony. Perfect for lounging in the afternoon. Plenty of bars, restaurants and nightclubs with 5 minutes walk if you want to experience something outside the hotel. Really nothing.
Location of hotel near town, Beauty of Hotel and grounds, cleanliness and maintenance of facilities 1) Beach location was not the best. During February, the hotel itself blocked sun from pool and beach from around 8am to 11am and then again from around 4pm to 6pm. Beach and Pool in shadow of hotel. 2) Too many kids for what wants to be a luxurious hotel. 3) Make sure you use the room sign to declare you want privacy. Maids came in every day while we were sleeping or dressing despite our shouting - please don't come in now.
No shuttle service
Great beach although it gets shade starting at 3:00 pm. Friendly staff. Basilic restaurant amazing. Tea bags and coffee in the room are charged as if they were minibar items. You have to pay to use the gym and the spa, even if the room I stayed in cost me US$500 a night!
When you stay here you know why it's called the "Grand" Fiesta Americana Coral Beach... It's GRAND! This was our fourth time in Cancun, and second time at this hotel. Service, cleanliness, location - water and land, comfort, style and elegance, and food are the best! The price is more than a lot of hotels in Cancun, and it's not All Inclusive So you'll pay for food and drink, but it's worth it!
Everything about it was exquisite!! I took my husband for his 40th bday. The service was perfect all around. People are so kind and accommodating. The ocean was gorgeous...relaxing, perfection all around!! Nothing!!
The staff was excellent, very attentive and helpful and mostly bilingual. We were there in March and the weather was great, but the beach is shaded fairly early in the afternoon. We had to keep moving around the pool to stay in the sun. Luckily the resort was not full so it was not a problem. We did not eat at the buffets, but ordered off the menu and the food was very good.
Very convenient, very clean, very good staff. Hotel was great but I do not recommend leaving the hotel area because it's corrupt and everything is about money off the resort. They are practically try to extort you if they think you have American money. The hotel and resort is 100% safe though.

Overall found all aspects of the hotel above standard, however morning coffee in the lobby would be a very nice feature, especially early morning while the husbands are waiting for their spouses to get ready.
Our room was excellent, but the other traveling companions had problems. A pipe burst in 1 room and soaked their belongings. A 3rd room had 2 single beds pushed together on wheels to make a double bed and the bed kept coming apart. The beach was great! The food was somewhat bland and we could never book a reservation for the steakhouse. It could only be made 2 days in advance and we tried for 3 days at 8:00 AM (when desk opened) to book it 2 days in advance and was always told that it was fully booked.
Good value. Excellent staff, always met your needs, good food. Very clean...great location. Beautiful Ocean front view. Can walk to shopping. Free lobby Wi-Fi. Well stocked fridge. AC worked great. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of hot water. Safe. No free in room wifi. Seemed to be more spring breakers than we would expect from their policies. Had some trouble with room key cards demagnetizing. Beach wait service was spotty. Thought they could use more restrooms in public spaces.
The resort was beautiful, very well maintained, clean inside and out. No not a thing.
All staff were very friendly and excited about making our stay the best experience possible. The food was exceptional for the price and the room was comfortable and had an amazing view. Coffee could have been more accessible in the morning and a few more sunshades on the beach but these were minor issues.
Everything was so clean and everyone was so friendly. Did not like the food served in their restaurants. We ended eating outside the resort for dinners. Very disappointing.
Food is better than expected, I found out that Mexicans are nice peopple, and the hotel has a convenient location... We had a grate time so far. We had a strong rain due to a tropical storm, but it is unfair to blaim the hotel because of the weather. Probabilly the hotel staff should take more care in the cleaneness of the swimingpools
The location of the hotel lies in the middle of the hotel zone, so it was easy and convenient to get around. The hotel staff do a great job of keeping the resort clean, they are constantly cleaning day and night. We were supposed to be given free Wi-Fi in room, however we were not, even though I had a printed ad of theirs. Also this resort expects their guests to make dinner reservations 48 hours prior to arrival, but they do not have this noted on their website.
The pools and beach. The room was beautiful but could have been cleaner. The fact that you had to reserve 4 out of the 5 restaurants 2 days in advance and wait in line for 30 to 60 minutes daily to be able to eat in those restaurants. No other hotels that we have previously stayed at in Cancun you had to do that.

The rooms were beautiful, well-stocked, clean and comfortable. We had a suite with 2 ocean view balconies, a jacuzzi in the bedroom, walk-in closet. It was big and felt luxurious which we enjoyed. The property was clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The resort is HUGE! We were only there for 4 days and it felt overwhelming to make decisions about where to eat, what to do, etc. It took us a day to orient ourselves because we didn't receive a good orientation to the property when we checked in (they were only interested in getting us to the sales pitch breakfast). The restaurants lacked ambiance and I felt like I was in a Vegas casino in the lobbies. It was also so busy and there were so many people everywhere that I never felt like I was fully relaxed. I spent most of the time on the beach so I wouldn't have to listen to the loud music and games being played by the pools. The sand was white and soft, but the water was covered in seaweed so it wasn't great for swimming. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about. This might be a good choice if you were planning an extended stay, but even if I were going on a longer trip I would not stay here again. I was with a group of friends so it didn't stop us from having a great time (the all-inclusive alcohol helped!) but the resort was not a highlight of the trip.
This resort goes a ones and beyond for all if their guests to be having a good time. From children, teenagers, to adults this resort goes above and beyond like I have never seen before. There's always something for everyone. The pools are beautiful with ample amounts to sit. The restaurants are all very good (make reservations at the golf coarse restaurants... We loves the Italian one so much we did it two nights). The entertainment is comparable to that of Las Vegas. The rooms are spacious and cleaned to perfection daily. The landscaping is beautiful. Again, if you are not havingn a good time here then there is something wrong with you. This place was a true paradise with top notch service. I really thought I was in heaven and will most definitely be back next year! There was nothing not to like.
Everything was beyond our expectations! AMAZING! A true dream experience! Will 100% recommend to anyone.
Vacation club sales pitch.
Good food staff Darcel rude and very unprofessional
Loved the Hotel and grounds. Beach was perfect. Service was top notch and attentive to all needs. Had an issue with our room and it was handled in minutes. Food is good and or great. Was there for a weeding with a big group and lots of fun with not a worry in the world.
This place is amazing. We felt like royalty once we arrived. Amenities are top notch. Beautiful hotel with stunning views from all rooms. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. Entertainment staff was awesome. Highly recommended. I would choose this hotel everytime I travel to Cancun. There were a few ants in our room but that is probably normal for most places in Mexico. The try to stay on top of it. Wifi was unbelievably slow if not nonexistent. Try getting an international data plan that doesn't screw you on rates.
The hotel was beautiful. Everything was so clean. They had excellent customer service. They anticipate your needs and they were Johnny on the spot. The staff was super friendly and very happy. Nothing to not like.
It is top three resorts in Cancun easily. There could be a shuttle service for guests who chose to pay upgrade for butler services in order to not have to use the not so great local taxis which pick you up at the hotel to get you around often with no air conditioner are these taxis.
Facilities were nice. Terrible experience overall. Cracked my tooth on room service food and no one seemed to care. The whole trip was a nightmare.
The staff was excellent! Each team member, ranging from the pool staff to housekeeping, to activities were delightful. The property is very nice and our room was especially lovely... Roomy, clean with a great view. You have to get up early to reserve your spot at the very crowded pool. It would also be nice if the restaurants took reservations. There is always a wait for the nicer restaurants.
Great Room junior suite Nice beach Great Staff I would think 2x if you're traveling solo. This hotel was couples, families.
Food, beach, hotel, attentive staff. The housekeeper stole $100. Not plug friendly in rooms
Very clean. High standard hotel. All the extras are expensive. People there try to be definitly too cool just to show their money.
Everything except weather... no
The rooms are very nice ............new modern. The staff were not at all helpfull.................very expensive and not at all good value.
Reception floor was very nice with friendly staff. Pool area was even better than expected. Breakfast was excellent, so were bars and restaurants, too. Our room at 9th floor was slightly worn-out and not as clean as what we would have hoped for. Air-conditioning controls were not working properly (AC quite ok, though). The paintings and sculptures found in our room were a bit questionable, we'd find it better to put effort on some more relevant things. The staff at spa/gym a bit on the arrogant side, be sure to wear tennis shoes for gym..!
the friendliness of the staff which is not unusual for Mexico.the location of the hotel which was out of Punta Cancun. the quality of the overall hotel-construction is very poor. The specific Americans who were shouting so loud at 3-5am almost every night. The smell in the bathroom (moisture)
Since your arrival to your departure, you are treated like royalty. Everything is top quality, everyone in the world should experience cancun in finest.
Everything was excellent. They went above and beyond. Food was great for a different country, room service excellent. Don't order scrambled eggs(they must use premix or something but omlettes and fried eggs good). Water sports nice, rooms are clean and luxurious . Amenities in room exceptional. had toothbrushes, toothpaste, irons, robes, shampoos, soaps, etc.... Please remember to tip even though a tip is included in your room price. They make very little daily; like $4-6 a day and tips help. We paid $5-10 per meal, $1-2 round of drinks, housekeeper $20 for entire stay, bellmen $1 per bag. The air condition works but any time you open any door it shuts off. So, if you are in and out during the day; your room will be cool but not as to what you think will be the best comfort you expect. When you wake in am you will be cold, but during day; not so much.. Keep doors sealed and shut .
I liked the location, the safety, the beautiful buildings, and grounds. Many choices for foods, including healthy choices too. Favorite restaurants were the tapas restaurant, and the main buffet. Drinks were great, lots of fresh squeezed juices and of course specialty cocktails. The coffee and ice cream shop was fun. Service was good overall and room service was quick too. The staff at the front desk was very nice. We saved money by getting a regular room and not a rooftop suite or swim up suite and it was plenty nice. Service was always good, tip was "included" but I always tip when it was outstanding which was most of the time. The Jacuzzi tub in your room can overflow very easily if you fill it too high...beware. They don't serve red bull or any energy drinks on the property. Some restaurants were closed, due to private parties, so you don't always get as many choices as you expect. They ran out of towels in the beach/pool area. Most restaurants are closed between 4-6pm. Dress code in the different restaurants and no reservations allowed is a pain. There was quite a bit of seaweed on the sand due to a lot of wind. There are way too many light switches in the room, it can take 10 minutes just to figure out how to turn them all off at the end of the night.
This is a great family resort. Great staff, beautiful beach and a wide selection of yummy food. I highly recommend this resort!
The hotel was nice, the staff was really friendly and a great experience all around. Arturo and Ignacio were excellent and provided top notch service! We enjoyed the pool staff, activities, music, games, food choices, beach and view. I think for the money this was an excellent choice for an all inclusive. We will certainly come back again! The buffet was hit or miss but there were other options available as well. The wifi was spotty and poor at times outside of the lobby area. There was a bit of sea weed on the beach but nothing that could deter us from staying again.
The beaches and the view were beautiful The variety and quality of food was lacking. Waiters were pushy for tips
Food was just OK
I have visited MANY all inclusive hotels, and OMNI Cancun was BY FAR, the BEST food I have EVER had! We ate at almost every single restaurant on site while we were there and did not have a single bad thing to say about anything we ate. It was better than most restaurants that you go out and pay for! There was a TON of staff and we hardly ever waited long for anything. They were very accommodating. The rooms were beautiful and in pristine condition. We loved using the gym, tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball court, pools and sauna. I will definitely be back! =) We did get a bit tired of all of the sales people constantly trying to sell you excursions and had to call down multiple days to request mini fridge to be restocked after housekeeping cleaned.
Omni Cancun Resort was one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Our bartender Orlando was the best and very entertaining. Fedrico, Miguel, and Victor also took very good care of us in the restaurants and bar. The resort offers all sorts of interactive events that made the stay all the better. Between the live dinner shows, the excursions, and the daily events at the resort pools there was always something to keep us entertained.
I think for the money this was an excellent choice for an all inclusive. The buffets were varied enough to keep me coming back and the Italian restaurant was surprisingly good.
Most of th staff was quite friendly. Liked that smoking was not allowed, Noisy, noisy, noisy in the evening. Young adults slamming doors, running up and down halls, loud music - after repeated calls to front desk and security - nothing. Food was mediocre.
Friendly staff and clean The wifi service was poor
Old, ugly hotel, food unatable especially (Oriental and Italian restaurant), lots of young, drunk noisy people. Rooms tidy but IBIS style, no shower cap (even on request), no shower gel only soap. Defenitely not a 5* hotel. After arrival they put a plastic bracelet on your wrist, and you can not take it off for the whole stay (including sleep, swimming, tanning, etc) Very annoying.
the cleanliness of the room and good location. Also swimming pool is very beautiful and the staffs are very very kind and polite. nothing.
location is excellent. Paradise.
Location and some services. Room is not quite comfortable. Small bathroom, TV didn't work all the time and shower wasn't very good. Hotel is ok but for the price I espected much much more.
Pools, nice views, pool staff very nice. Plenty of options for cable tv. Good location. While polite, reception and restaurant staff completely lacked charm of any kind and I actually found them quite intimidating. The dinner buffet was fairly revolting, not many options for other food, which was always cold by the time you received it by the pool. After giving it a couple of tries, we ended up always having to leave the hotel to get something decent to eat.
+ Property: Nice landscaping, beautiful beach front, excellent "adult only" pool. Overall it was nicely maintained. Royal tower room was beautiful with a large balcony, huge bathroom, couch/sitting area, and unobstructed view of the ocean. + Staff: Bartenders & wait staff at the adult pool and rooftop bar were awesome. Waiters at all of the restaurants were good. Cleaning/maid staff were excellent and kept our room looking spectacular everyday. The Royal Tower concierge (Gabriela) was very helpful with accommodating a special request we had. + Food: Good variety. Dinner at the Oriental, and breakfast buffet were the best meals we had during our stay. - Property: **BEWARE** when booking that this resort goes by "building type" and not "room type." I thought we had booked a room with a King bed but was told there were none available, but we could upgrade to a "Royal Tower Room" with a King for $240 USD. After much frustration and back and forth with person at the front desk, he offered us a "COMPLIMENTARY UPGRADE" to the "Royal Tower Room".......for $50 USD cash he put directly into his pocket. Also -- the 1 and only hot tub was located near the family pool and was filled with young children everyday. There was feces sitting on the steps to the hot tub that were there for at least a half hour before someone pointed them out to maintenance and they were cleaned up; absolutely gross. And if you're looking for late night activities, you'll have to leave the resort because the last bars closed at 100 AM. - Staff: They always seemed to be trying to sell you on something. Beware, the workers in the lobby are not the actual concierge (even though they will tell you they are), they are actually selling timeshare. The real concierge is the opposite direction, near the elevators/banquet hall. Wait staff at the restaurants generally would not refill our water glasses unless we specifically asked them to. - Food: Quality was "OK". There was nothing I would go back for.
The hotel was fantastic! The food was good, and everything was nice and close. I would definitely stay here again. I didn't like that my booking hadn't gone through and the price was different than advertised.
Breakfast was pretty good, convenient to airport. We were put in room 319 right near the elevator so we got to listen to that all night. Definitely request not to have the room behind the elevator. Also, the shuttle indicates that you can get it to and from, but apparently you can only get it to the hotel ( who knows why). You have to catch a taxi and pay an unbelievable $15 dollars for a 5 minute ride. It's a racket. It was very misleading indicating that there is a shuttle when it will only take you one way. Not cool.
Good starting point. They pick you up from airport. Breakfast is ok...
The rooms here are spacious and comfortable. Shower was nice and big which is a plus. Restaurant was also convenient, but over priced for the quality. The pillows are not very nice and the air conditioner made a lot of noise each time the compressor shut off.
the proximity to the airport and the informative and attentive staff. It is not in a beautiful area but well maintained with large strong shower. Free and fast internet. We spent a week at a Resort in Cancun and one night here that help save $400 in airfare by staying the extra day. Aside from the view and size we were just as comfortable here as we were at the resort. Great job! A/C too loud and no mini refrigerator
We should leave at 5 o'clock in the morning and coffee was provided at lobby area. Also breakfast box was provided to take with. We requested a wake-up call early in the morning but they forgot it
Close to airport and very convenient for an early morning flight Nothing to do nearby.
Overall clean with good internet and decent breakfast. The supposed policy that they can only pick-up guests at the airport seems like nonsense given that they pick up guests in the departures area of the airport. Instead we have to pay $15 for a 5-minute ride and in my case to follow the shuttle to the airport.
Hotel was clean, looks like it was recently built or updated. The room was clean and comfortable. The parking garage is very compact. Be careful - I had to do a 5 point turn to get my compact rental car out of there :-\
Nothing During our entire stay there was no hot water. The room was hot and stuffy, and the air conditioner rattled such that you couldn't sleep and leave it enabled. They gave no discount for being unable to shower. Directions to the location don't indicate that you're making a turn down a one way street that has no entrance to the hotel. This causes you to make a 5 kilometer loop and pray you recognize the unlabeled entrance to the hotel. Leaving the hotel requires a u-turn route through a very annoyed guard at the port checkpoint to access the main road again.
Nothing, maybe the staff, a bit. The hotel is located 3 minutes from the airport, yet their taxis charge half the price it would take to get from Playa del Carmen (a 45 min drive). They say they have shuttles, apparently it's only for travelers arriving at Cancun, the shuttle doesn't take you to the airport. The rooms are basic, the walls are thin, I felt and heard anything that happened even across the hall. The breakfast was bread, butter and jam. Nothing was continental about this. The hotel is overpriced for what it's offering in comparison to Mexico. In any other country it would have been understood, but for Mexico standard there is no value for money. Would never ever go back
It was close to the airport. This hotel was booked because I was looking for a hotel close to the airport with airport transfers. We had a 7 AM flight out of the airport so we wanted to be close with transfers. When we got to the hotel we were told that they could only transfer passengers from the airport to the hotel, but they were not allowed to transfer people from the hotel to the airport. Our only choice was to pay extra for a taxi from the hotel to the airport. I feel we should be reimbursed for this false advertising for the cost of the transfer. We paid 250 Mexican pesos to get to the airport. I would appreciate a response regarding this false representation.
Location close to airport The hotel advertises free shuttle but 'forgets' to mention that its only one way. We won't be back.
There is a choice of 3 restaurants in Cancun that can be booked for dinner. They are ok, one of them very good. Buffet food is uneatable. Besides the taste, my boyfriend got a food poisoning after the second meal.
Pools Beach Service Beachfront Cabanas Staff was super polite and helpful Food was really good I'm 29, my lady is 27, and we were probably the youngest people at the resort by 20 years. Older folks were nice, but would have liked more of a mix.
All the hotel services were pretty good! Nice food! Nice restaurants! Nice drinks! Perfect beach! Safety! Good location! Perfect all inclusive, with a lot of other good restaurants out of the hotel also included! Good rooms! Good attention for the customers! The room service has to be improved! Even if you want just some bottles of water you will probably wait more than 45 minutes! They probably have just one person to deliver the orders on this huge hotel. At the first late night after arriving, with all the restaurants closed, i ordered some food and they spent more than 2 hours 30 mins to tell me that my order was already delivered when it was not! Had to talk to the manager for eating some!
The staff was good the lady manager Ava was very good too They need to include the Internet
Easy. Everything was close together. Staff was nice. The facilities are dated. Towels were a dingy brown green color. Restaurants were never consistently open. People come to Mexico for Mexican food and the Mexican restaurant was closed most days we were there.
The staff was excellent! They were all very professional, kind, and courteous. Our room was very clean, the food was tasty. I hated the fact that Internet was $17 U.S. Dollars for 24 hours! It was supposed to be free! Everyone everywhere wanted/asked for tips.
Royal Solaris is a fairly inexpensive all inclusive with decent sea views. Multiple choices in places to eat. Some of the wait staff actually made an effort to make our honeymoon enjoyable. A waiter by the name of Mibsam was the friendliest individual on staff by far. The members working the front desk were always very helpful as well. I've stayed at two other resorts in Cancun and a third in Cozumel. All of which were competively priced with this one and offered equivalent all inclusive packages. All had nicer rooms, higher quality finishes to give a luxury feel, and professional staff. 1. The Rooms The first room my wife and I experienced was less than ideal. The ceiling was so short we both could reach up and touch the ceiling. All bathrooms lacked ventilation so mold and paint bubbling should be expected. The first room's bathroom had a curious layout with lights hanging out of the socket. It was fixed shortly thereafter, but if I had kids I would not have accepted the room. Exposed electrical surfaces in a wet space with no ventilation is a disaster waiting to happen. We payed to upgrade our room to the jacuzzi room which looked much more like a normal hotel room. The bathroom still didn't have any ventilation. in addition, the tile work wasn't very impressive. The finishes looked very sloppy and didn't seem to have a luxury feel. Get what you pay for... 2. Staff aforementioned are the staff that were very helpful and good at their jobs. What I was concerned about is that very few people were concerned about making our honeymoon special. Bartenders were always very nice, maybe a little too nice.. There were numerous spring breakers and Its always okay to let lose. There needs to be more discretion as to when to cut somebody off. Every day there was someone being wheelchaired out. Alcohol poisoning got pretty serious for some of these guys and could have easily been taken care of. ive spent spring break with my buddies before down in a different resort and not only were the rooms and facilities much nicer, the staff were willing to look out for you and help you out.... They were so far gone they couldn't tell the difference between water and tequila. much of the staff seemed to be more concerned about helping/ serving the spring breakers over the families. numerous families found it difficult to sleep at night with spring breakers coming around at night being extremely boisterous. I woke up every night from the noise. Solution that other resorts use... Escort them back to their rooms. 3. Restuarants Always had decent food. Also had plenty of seating with nice views of the sea. However, half the time the waiter would forget our drinks or take a long time to get our drinks. One day I finished my entire meal before getting our drinks. in this case it really depends on your waiter. There are some really good ones and some that don't seem to care.
The food was excellent. My favorite part was the pool and the swim up bar. They have water volleyball and water basketball. There is always some sort of game going on at the pool area. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day. Easy bus ride to the night clubs for 50 cents. All in all I felt that this was the perfect resort for a group of friends (we are in our mid 20s), couples, or families. The buffet could have more variety each day.
Best Time EVER :) Where to start everything was perfect as soon that we walk in, everyone is super nice and friendly. Rooms where clean and our View priceless, The food was great no one got sick. They had activity everyday at the lobby and the pool activity where so much sun. A SPECIAL thanks to Enrique Felipe and Colorado they would go out of there way to make us feel like home. Also the Bar Tenders where so friendly and they made us a super yummy Sapitos shoots and drinks. We are definitely returning to Royal Solaries . :) out next stay to Royal Solaris will be in Cabo San Lucas,
I could hear everything going on in the next room. The rooms smelled very strong perfume odor. The woman at the front desk was rude. Not the best customer service but, ok for the price.
The hotel staff were the best of numerous resorts we have stayed at. Very helpful, pleasant and professional. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The beach was clean and well groomed. The pools were beautiful. The best lunch was the pizza oven, serving up made to order pizzas! It is a bit dated in the lobby. The food is what I would consider average. If I book another all-inclusive in Cancun , I would look elsewhere because of the food. We usually go for more than a week and I don't think we would enjoy the dining experience here for that long.
The beach, the pool, the breakfast and dinner buffet. (The food was well above average and quite good at times). Great poolside drink service from Roberto, our waiter on more than one day. Our beach front room was a bit bare (furniture wise) but it was clean and roomy. Cleaning staff did a great job. Bus stop right out front will get you to center of nightlife (about a five minute ride) for under a dollar. It's location away from the center made the beach that much better and less crowded. We had a great stay. Time share push after check in. Just insist that you want to go right up to your room and dodge this (they were not aggressive when we did this).
First the food was excellent the service was extraordinary as they great you since you enter the hotel, staff was amazing and the pools and kids club was awesome! Super safe for family with children. Bartenders are knowledgable of drinks and very friendly.. The reataurant was very delicious with the 5 course meals. We felt right at home!! I would definitely stay At The Grand Solaris! Thumbs up for food ,cleanliness, staff, and overall the atmosphere was great oh and to add the shows were wonderful!! I miss being there my kids loved it!!! If you want to have a great and relaxing time, to make wonderful memories and enjoy the beautiful beaches and views go to The Grans Solaris! We truly had la passion del Solaris!!(: The only thing was they need to add toilet covers around the resorts restrooms, pillows a bit hard.
Great location in the busiest part of the night life zone. The decorative style and ambient playlist is best suited for the younger audiences. Room soundproofing is excellent despite having stayed in a very busy season I had trouble connecting and using the room WiFi despite the router being across the hall from my room. However, I was able to connect in the lobby.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful- Sergio helped us book a catamaran trip that was a highlight of the trip! The pool has great views and Guillermo at the restaurant was the best. The rooms were a little Spartan but still nice. The windows did not open and sometimes the room was very cold.
As the other people have said the location is convient. I think it is more beatiful than the pictures. The window cann't open so the air is not fresh. and if there have a mirror in the room it would be perfect.
Aloft is really close to the beach and restaurants. It's also close to clubs, if that's your thing, but not too close, that you'd be bothered by the crowd/noise. The staff there is really really nice. We loved the food and drinks at the restaurant/ bar and spending time at the rooftop pool. The pool table was also nice. It was a not big deal, but it's sort of weird that the bathroom doors are somewhat see-through. It can get awkward if you need more privacy.
Nothing The malfunctions alarms going off all night and having more then we agreed to charged to my credit card after our stay. They should have paid us to stay there. This is my first negative review out of hundreds of hotel stays.
- Staff was great - On-site restaurant was good - Location was great. Right next to supermarket and the "downtown" area. Mild blend of local culture and "hotel" culture. - Not far from bus station (10$ by taxi) - Free bottled water when they cleaned the room - Free safe in the room - WiFi wasn't fast, but it was nice to have! Netflix worked just fine. - Shower was a waterfall-type (which was cool) but the water pressure was abysmal - Bathroom was absurd. It's like a sliding door? No privacy whatsoever. - No beach access. Beach was across the street so it wasn't too bad, though. - If I'm picking nits, the elevators took forever sometimes.
the location is really safe to the point where you can walk 3.00 A.M w/o any trouble since there are about 20 taxis just right beside the hotel and there is no way in hell where to get robbed or beat up. Also, the location is the best bc because it is in the far north and it is only 2 mins walk to reach coco bongo. As well as it is right in the middle between activities, so you do not have to worry about any long distance trips. Also the beach is only a block or two away from the hotel. Nothing was unlikable even the design is much better than the pictures.
Pool tabe and bar in the lobby. Front desk staff were terrible. It took them almost an hour to check me in as they didn't have record of my reservation made through Kayak. So they had me sit in the lobby for 1 hour while tried to figure things out. On another instance, I called the front desk numerous times to request new bath towels and they never answered the phone or called back. So I had to go to the front desk in person to make the request. Room smelled like old wet clothes.
Amazing Service! They were so kind and respectful.
