A Espanha reabriu suas fronteiras a viajantes da maioria dos países da UE; no entanto, a entrada permanece restrita a viajantes que chegam de outras áreas, exceto cidadãos e residentes espanhóis, e familiares imediatos que os acompanham.
A Espanha não permitirá a entrada de viajantes que tenham estado no Reino Unido, Brasil ou África do Sul até pelo menos 16 de março, com exceção de cidadãos e residentes em Andorra e na Espanha.
Em 22 de julho, os viajantes que chegam da Sérvia não podem mais entrar na Espanha.
Para viajantes que chegam de fora da UE, apenas as seguintes categorias de viajantes podem entrar:
• Residentes habituais na União Europeia, Estados Associados de Schengen, Andorra, Mônaco, Vaticano ou São Marino. • Titulares de um visto de longa duração emitido por um membro Schengen de um Estado Schengen Associado que se desloca para esse país. • Profissionais de saúde que vêm trabalhar na Espanha. • Bens e pessoal de transporte no exercício de suas funções. • Diplomatas, consulares, funcionários internacionais, militares, proteção civil e membros de organizações humanitárias no exercício de suas funções. • Estudantes que estudam em um dos estados membros da UE / Schengen e possuem o visto apropriado ou permissão equivalente e seguro médico. Eles podem entrar no país 15 dias antes do início dos estudos. • Trabalhadores altamente qualificados, incluindo participantes em eventos esportivos de alto nível que acontecem na Espanha. • Pessoas que viajam por motivos familiares devidamente credenciados. • Pessoas que viajam por motivos humanitários devidamente credenciados ou motivos de força maior. • Residentes na Austrália, Canadá, Geórgia, Japão, Nova Zelândia, Ruanda, Coréia do Sul, Tailândia, Tunísia ou Uruguai, desde que tenham vindo diretamente desses países ou apenas tenham feito trânsitos internacionais em aeroportos fora desses países.
Requisitos de entrada
A partir de 23 de novembro, todos os viajantes (incluindo crianças) vindos da Albânia, Andorra, Argentina, Armênia, Aruba, Áustria, Bahrein, Bélgica, Belize, Bósnia e Herzegovina, Bulgária, Cabo Verde, Colômbia, Costa Rica, Croácia, Chipre, República Tcheca, Dinamarca, Estônia, França, Polinésia Francesa, Geórgia, Alemanha, Gibraltar, Grécia, Guam, Hungria, Islândia, Irlanda, Itália, Jordânia, Kuwait, Letônia, Líbano, Líbia, Liechtenstein, Lituânia, Luxemburgo, Malta, Moldávia, Mônaco, Marrocos , Holanda, Macedônia do Norte, Noruega, Território Palestino, Panamá, Polônia, Portugal, Porto Rico, Romênia, Rússia, San Marino, Sérvia, Eslováquia, Eslovênia, São Martinho, Suécia, Suíça, Tunísia, Emirados Árabes Unidos, Reino Unido, Ucrânia e EUA , deve apresentar um atestado médico com resultado negativo no teste TMA, LAMP ou PCR COVID-19 emitido nas 72 horas anteriores à chegada, com excepção dos viajantes provenientes dos Açores em Portugal; Rogaland, More og Romsdal, Nordland, Viken, Innlandet, Vestfold og Telemark, Agder, Vestland, Trondelag ou Troms og Finnmarkin na Noruega; Kitri, Ionia Nisia, Dytiki Ellada ou Sterea Ellada na Grécia; Ilha Faroe ou Groenlândia.
Verificações locais podem ser realizadas na chegada para confirmar que os viajantes foram submetidos a um teste COVID-19 PCR, TMA ou LAMP e tiveram resultados negativos. Uma multa mínima de €3000 pode ser cobrada de quem não cumprir.

A partir de 14 de novembro, os viajantes que visitam as Ilhas Canárias com reserva em acomodação turística regulamentada devem apresentar um teste COVID-19 negativo feito no máximo 72 horas antes, ao fazer o check-in em sua acomodação, baixar e ativar o aplicativo de notificação Radar COVID durante sua estada nas ilhas e por 15 dias após o retorno para casa. Crianças menores de 7 anos estão isentas desses requisitos.
As autoridades regionais das Ilhas Baleares (Maiorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera) introduziram três estágios de controle para as chegadas domésticas por via marítima ou aérea às ilhas, além das das chegadas internacionais à Espanha. Todos os turistas que chegam de ou via regiões da Espanha com uma incidência cumulativa do vírus de 150 casos por 100.000 habitantes ou mais devem apresentar um PCR ou TMA negativo realizado nas 72 horas anteriores à chegada. Uma multa de até €3.000 pode ser cobrada de quem chega sem um teste válido. Aqueles com um motivo justificado para a viagem devem preencher uma declaração e um teste de antígeno na chegada ao aeroporto ou porto ou terão que se submeter a uma quarentena de 10 dias. Os residentes nas Ilhas Baleares devem ter feito um teste PCR no local de partida nas 72 horas anteriores à sua chegada, ou serão testados na chegada ou submetidos a uma quarentena de 10 dias.

Os viajantes que chegam do Brasil ou da África do Sul estão sujeitos à quarentena.
Regras de trânsito
Aos viajantes em trânsito na Espanha através de um aeroporto espanhol em rota para seu destino final, os requisitos de teste PCR, TMA ou LAMP e Formulário de Controle de Saúde mencionados acima não se aplicam. Eles devem, no entanto, estar preparados para mostrar evidências de sua jornada, como passagens aéreas para seu destino final.

Instead of helping and apologizing for the hassle, the attendant said that I had to pay for my carry-on (that was 10kg) because I had another hand bag with my laptop in it. I said that I would not pay, and that Azul should return me money first for not delivering the service I purchase - which was the flight from Governador Valadares, MG to Sao Paulo, SP (with a quick stop in Belo Horizonte, MG). Instead they were making me miss my international flight, and besides not taking any responsibility for it, this woman is telling me that I had to pay for a carry on?!? I was mesmirized by the lack of sense of this flight attendant. After telling me that I was going to get in Sao Paulo at 9pm instead of 5pm, and that I would have to run to get a bus to another terminal and hopefully make it to my international flight that was at 10:20pm, she insisted I’d pay. I told her that if she could get me to my destination at 5pm maybe I wouldn’t mind paying, but since that wasn’t the case, and I’d have to run to try to catch another flight because of Azul Airlines, that she should really think about it and let it go, and let me go with my bag as a carry on. She gave me the ticket, and as I grabbed my bag and went towards the bus, she threatened me, saying that in Ipatinga and in Belo Horizonte (my first conection flight) they would not allow me on the plane with the carry on. Since the non-sense continued I just took her as a mentally disable person, and ignored her threat. A full bus and 2 vans headed to Ipatinga (100km away in a dangerous highway), packing the flight there, really making me think that this non-sense was just a way Azul Airlines figured out to save money in fuel. The flight was completely full, the AC not working properly, and with the heat and humidity people were smelly. It was absolutely awful. The flight attendants in Ipatinga (way nicer than the ones in Gov. Valadares), distributed water to the passengers that looked like they were about to faint, the ones sweating profusely, the elderly and the kids. By the way, the carry on bag was not an issue at the other airports. Once in Belo Horizonte I noticed that my original Azul flight from Belo Horizonte to Sao Paulo at 3:30pm as 1 hour and 15 minutes LATE. I run to the gate and explained what happened and after crying out loud was able to convince the Azul attendants to let me in on that flight so I wouldn’t miss my international flight. They made me wait until last minute but I cried: this is the flight I had a ticket for. It’s only fair you let me in! So they did. And I made my other flight. But not before I got upset, had a headache, stomach ache and felt demoralized by Azul staff."

Had we known that we would not make the flight in anyway shape or form because our flight out of DC was delayed by 2 1/2 hours, we would not have a rushed to try to make the connecting flight. Ultimately we were rerouted through Frankfurt and arrived in Valencia eight hours later they are intended time"

The seats were smaller in Economy Class than on competitor carriers. The lavs were unattended to during the 7 hour flight and, consequently, were filthy during the last hour or two. The food was mediocre, at best, but at least the cocktails were not an upcharge. Enough alcohol can make just about any food palatable."

Having to pay extra for a seat was something I did not plan for and it was out of my budget, but I had no choice, because I had to get home somehow! I'll be going without groceries this week due to this unplanned expense."

The flight from BCN to LIS was delayed 2 hours at the gate, but we were told we could somehow still catch our flight from LIS to PDL. We trusted that was true. We arrived at LIS without a single garment of clothing (we checked all 3 bags through to PDL), and then realized we missed the flight to PDL. We stood in line for 3 HOURS at the TAP help desk, only to wait behind a group of very angry people who monopolized the staff. Once we told the agent our situation, he told us there were no more seats on any flight to PDL the next morning. Not only that, but he could not provide a hotel for us to spend the night. This is 2:30am, 3:30am BCN time. He told us to find our own hotel, but we do not have international phone plans, so we could not make the reservation ourselves. He had nowhere for us to sleep. Then he had us wait for his SATA associate to help us, and he put us on a flight to PDL the next day, but it was not direct! We had plans for the following day, a hotel reservation in Ponta Delgada that is NOT refundable, and now the final portion of our honeymoon is ruined. No one ever offered to give us vouchers for ANY costs or for the anxiety and total of 14 hours lost on the most important trip of our lives. Shameful."

Contras: "1) I tried several times while traveling but was unable to figure out how to choose a vegetarian option for the flight. When I called customer service, after a long hold time, the woman I finally spoke to told me it was too late to order vegetarian and refused to help me. I have never flown another airline (Air India, Turkish Air, United, American, China Southern, etc., etc.) that did not make this easy to choose during booking or check-in and that did not already have a standard ovo-lacto vegetarian option on the regular menu. Vegetarians practice for all sorts of reasons, including religion and health needs. It's unacceptable to make it so difficult to meet your meal needs while trapped on a plane for nine hours. 2) The check-in agent did not know the rule about all remaining seats being opened for passenger choice three hours before booking and insisted we had to pay to get aisle seats despite one of us having a health problem necessitating her standing up and walking every 45 minutes. Then another agent told us we couldn't choose seats for free for our Porto to Newark flight when we check in for our Madrid-Porto flight because it wasn't technically three hours before the Porto-Newark departure. But how were we supposed to choose seats for the Porto-Newark flight three hours in advance if we are in an airplane flying to Porto at that time? This makes no sense. Seats should be opened for every leg of a same-day journey at the same time. The agents were unhelpful and unsympathetic. 3) This was an old plane without options to choose a film or show to watch. Instead, passengers could flip through a few channels and hope to find something of interest that was already playing -- there was no way to begin a film or show from the beginning if you landed on it in the middle of its running time. I cannot recommend TAP Portugal to any of my friends, family, or colleagues after this experience."

These airlines are doing everything save on costs by jamming as many people as possible onto an aircraft...this makes for a terribly uncomfortable 12hr long red-eye flight. The food was mediocre at best (my gf actually got sick from it), and the boarding process was anything but organized, allowing anyone to board at any given time. It was very hectic and took far too long."
