Very problematic tripPrós: The flight changed from original 3:20 to 4:20 which is expected. But then comes 4:30 the boarding gate never opened and nobody from the Airlines was present to ask questions. I tried to go around and ask different employees of the airport and found out that our plane is not leaving due to wind pressure. At the very same time I noticed that the wind wasn’t really that bad and watched other planes took off without any delay or problems. The gate to our flight opened almost 10 am.Contras: There should have been announcement for the reason of delay. We he passengers were exhausted but due to the unknown situation, uncertainty and cariocity could not rest or get a little sleep. When arrived at the transit airport, there was no one to explain where to go or what to do about the delay of flights. I went back to the custom police who told me to hurry up because the flight of our final destination is about to take off from the second floor. I rushed to get there and after bouncing around by different windows I was told to go to another security process and read the flight information on the board. I found the board where the name of the city was mentioned but no gate number nor time of flight. Finally after asking questions from different passengers I got on the plane and sat on the seat in a very hot wheather not knowing the time of flight. After half out of exhaustive heat the plane took off. Needless to say, it was a horrible experience.
When is the flight leaving?Prós: Smooth flight once we got on board. Helpful, attentive flight crew.Contras: Again, very poor communications. Although the flight had been delayed by quite a few hours, the departure board never changed from its original times. We never knew if we had time to eat ... or when we were leaving. I wish they had announced our flight in English. We almost missed the flight. This was a stressful layover.
Delays and surprises ... with poor communicationsPrós: Scat handled our baggage well.Contras: The worst part was the surprise layover to refuel. If I had known there was going to be a 2nd layover, I would not have bought these tickets. I also did not appreciate the long wait in the Almaty where the people at the counter told us a few times that we would leave in '30 minutes'. Altogether, we waited for 5 hours.
