we stayed in the navona sutie and it was terrific. we celebrated my wife's birthday and they supplied us with cake, champagne, fruits and gifts. the shower was not great and could use instructions as it had many features.
Very nice hotel that managed to avoid the many modernisation gags that have destroyed the atmosphere in so many formerly great hotels - without feeling dusty, at all. Yes, the corridors and the lift could do with a new coat of paint, but who cares. My room was spacious and lovely, with a private terrace overlooking the rooftops; perfect for having breakfast while catching the first rays of the sun. It's a small hotel. Take the Danieli in the sixties, cut it up and let a small piece of it overgrow with vines in the middle of Rome: voilà, the Raphael. Staff exceptionally nice and well-trained. Location unbeatable.
Excellent central location just off Piazza Navona. Nice rooms, well decorated. Staff friendly. Bedroom was too hot at night - air conditioning had been turned off.
evry thing is excellent staff is excellent the hotel is away from metro you should use taxi but no broblem as the hotel is central the taxi will not cost a lot no room service after 11 pm
Luxurious; great location and views from roof terrace Reception staff OK but not overly helpful, waiters / waitresses very helpful; expected food, drink etc. to be expensive but was actually exhorbitant
fantastic location, ambience and service
All staff were very kind The gym was not confortable, very cool and not any matress at the floor for exercices, not sauna ??
The staff were very efficient and pleasant. Very good location for siteseeing and shopping in the heart of Rome. Very good restaurant with quick efficient service.
Proximity to the sights
The Staff were very accomodating, spoke excellent English and were very very pleasant!!. It was what it says on the box - a 4* hotel - not a 3* posing as a 4*!!! The air conditioning units for the whole hotel were right on top of our room, and caused the walls and doors to vibrate! The hotel stafff were really good about this and agreed to turn it off between 23:00 and 08:00 in the morning so as not to disturb our sleep! I'm sure we never would have had another hotel offer to do this! Great Breakfast (although I would suggest not watering down the orange juice). Fantastic location - central to everything! All in all a well run hotel, and a very pleasurable stay! No - it was just right!
location, view noise due to loaction
Excellent location in historic square. Very comfortable rooms with fabulous views of the Pantheon.
The location. The hotel in next to the best square in Rome. There are many different musicians that frequent the area and you can meet people from all over world. The party goes on into the early morning. No
got upgraded - room very nice beds very hard but after a day of sighseeing i could have slept on the floor and not noticed.
The situation across from the Pantheon was the reason for our choice of Hotel Sole al Pantheon. The Piazza della Rotonda is a beautiful view from the second floor where we stayed. Too few tables in the otherwise beautiful breakfast room.
the good approach of the staff our room was too much nosy
This hotel is well situated on the P. Rotonda, in front of the ancient Pantheon in center of Rome. It is an old hotel and has annexes nearby with apartments. Our stay at the annex apartment was good, but the level of comfort was not that as in the actual hotel... and the furnishings are dated and stale. Our apartment was three star at the very best. The apartment annexes are old and stale and need a fresh up on furnishings... they are not at the same standard as the four star hotel itself, and I have stayed far nicer three star hotels in Rome.
Excellent location and great staff, right on the piazza across from the Pantheon. Room size was good and bathroom was as well. Staff was very attentive. View was awesome. Bed was very firm. Breakfast was poor.
Excellent location and friendly--helpful staff. Hotel was everything we were looking for on vacation and even better.
When we eventually got the room we had requested and paid for in advance we were quite pleased with it. Breakfast was extremly poor, breakfasting room was tiny and the hotel had no recognisable lounge area.On our first night our reserved and paid suite was given to another party. The rooms to the front are noisey with frequent and numerous musicians during the day.Bottles are collected noisily from all the cafes in the square at 0800.A truck washes the streets at 0200 am. If you have an internal room and it rains then you are kept awake all night by the sound of rain falling on the canvas of the external breakfasting room. The internal cooridoors are hot. Some front desk staff barely have the courtesy to greet you as a guest.
Good room. Central location within walking distance to all major tourist atractions and sights. Nice rooftop garden. Friendly staff. The breakfast
The location is fantastic! You are within walking distance of literally everything! There is the added bonus of the roof top terrace which gives great views of the city. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment - there were noisy and inefficient A/C units (we had to ask to change rooms), broken fittings and musty smells.
Location was perfect, walkable to all major Rome sites. And the rooftop terrace was an additional plus. Very basic room, the bed was actually two twin beds pushed together.
The location of the hotel was perfect. We could go all the places by walking and it just took almost 15 minutes. The rooms were clean. It was a nice hotel and I recommend it. When I go to Rome again, I will stay in this hotel again.
Excellent position for walking around Rome with friendly helpful staff
excellent location, lovely terrace, pleasant interiors, helpful staff rooms on road side intolerably noisy from traffic outside.
Excellent location for walking to most of the sites of interest to us A little noisy at night due to traffic
Great location, basic and clean room, polite and proffesional staff, no surprises, exactly as expected for this price range.
The staff were very helpful and friendly The single room did not appear on any website photos. It was a lot smaller than I anticipated. The TV had only two international channels.
Excellent location close to many restaurants and shops. Fast internet. Reception staff polite and helpful. Breakfast could have been improved a little -better juice and coffee, and fresh not tinned fruit salad.
Excellent location, very nice and spacious room, lounge area, Piaza Navona is around the corner. Good breakfast.
The location is really good. Everything was within easy reach. Staff was also most helpful. The room while small, was clean and comfortable. Nil
The hotel is in an excellent position just by Piazza Navona. The hotel is a boutique hotel with interesting rooms. My room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is served in the room which is great!
In Europe, for the price, location, layout, service...Teatro Pace was a spectacular hotel! The staircase is a bit much to navigate if you're not in great shape but it is part of whats so charming about the place.
Great location, well renovated building with stunning decore in the spiral stairwell. Staff were very helpful, whenever requested. No elevator. Thin walls (we had noisy neighbours that stayed up all night).
The location! Our tv wasn't working
Excellent location , efficient friendly staff , tasteful decor , right in the heart of the city easy to walk to all main attractions , once inside hotel peaceful , comfortable and rooms are beautiful with all needs catered for.
The location and the staff were amazing. It is so central to so many sites in Rome and just a wonderful place to be at night for bar hopping and eating. The staff was always cheerful and helpful in all regards...even mapping bus routes for us! The room didn't look like the photos (first time this has happened to me on Bookings and it was quite dark (the only window was half hidden behind a wall). Some rugs might have warmed up the room's ambiance (and cut down on overhead noise). And the shower stall was so small that I'd be loathe to recommend this to most Americans.
Hotel was beautiful! The staff great and breakfast brought to your room everymorning was a nice touch. Also the location in the Historic center it was close to everything!
great location, very friendly and helpful stuff, nice room. in our room was no view at all,but it was still beautiful place
Location excellent Very basic breakfast. Room very small. Shower cubicle tiny.
Very central location. Many tourist attractions within walking distance of hotel. Bedroom comfortable but bathroom was very small.
The location was excellent for walking to major sites in Rome. There was also plenty of hot water and heat at night. The building is old and the air quality was not very good.
friendly helpful staff, great central location, clean rooms, good map of city and advice from staff, balcony in room poor breakfast, small sized rooms, stairs up to reception.
Great Location. By far, the better aspect of the hotel. Walking distance from all the main atractions in Rome. Much better if we would stayed in any Hotel near Termini Station. That would have been a big mistake considering that our goal was to stay in Rome just for a few days. Safe city area at night. The hotel staff was very helpfull and nice to us. 1) The bathroom shower flor was not clean. That was not nice at all.. 2) It is a very old building. The fotos on the website are much better than the real deal. 3) We thought that would be a much better deal in terms of Price Vs Confort. 4)Breakfast is very simple and served in a small room.
Location is great for visiting all major sites on foot. About 20 minutes anywhere. You could tell it had been a pensione and was trying to become a hotel. Hard because I didn't have anything to compare it with. It was within our budget and for Rome in mid-August was pretty good.
I liked the location & the quiet & the simplicity of the room. Cleanliness is important & that criteria was met. That breakfast wasn't included
Friendly staff, nice rooms. Excellent location! After 7 days with white bread and juice that tastes like fanta without bubbles for breakfast my stomach was really mad.
The location of the hotel is very good This hotel is really very bad value for money, dirty, small room, unfriendly staff, one can do a lot better in Rome than to stay here, not recommended at all.
Hotel Navona's greatest asset is the location. For anyone who is thinking about scouting the city on foot this is, beyond any doubt, the perfect spot. It is close (takes seconds by foot) to one of the most beautifull squares in the world, full of bars and restaurants (you reach it within a few seconds) and it is possible to visit the main atractions in Rome by simply giving use to your feet :d Vatican and it's marvelous museum, Castel Sant'Angelo, Pantheon, Colisseum, Fiore Romanum and Altare de la Patria, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Spagna, Via Condotti and so on. Every main atraction is at a pedestrian's reach. The hotel is quite cosy and has good air conditioning, an important feature in the roman moisty and hot weather. The employees are nice and give great tips for turists (also in english), especially Mr. Antonio. Cleaning is effective and regular. At the arrival it may seem quite decadent, mainly due to the dodgy look of the street and the terrible look of the building's ground floor but as soon as you enter the hotel (wich is located in the first floor), the decadency feeling fades away. They also have wireless connection in the main hall. The breakfast is quite poor in my opinion, but I'm quite suspicious, since I'm a raging fanatic of the english/american brand. They could improve it by adding ingredients from the english and american types. The wireless connection could be extended to the rooms. The furniture, tough functional, was quite old in my room; the same goes for the television.
There wasnt a lot to like. extremely hard to find hotel. Very small shower as well as mold in shower. After maid cleaned room they left the outside door open, lucky nothing was taken.
The Albergo Abruzzi was very central to everything and the breakfast at the cafe in the paizza was welcoming and tasty and it was great to see the people enjoying themselves in the piazza all night The whole experience was wonderful and Hotel staff even carried our bags to the 1st Floor where the lift started
This was a prime location. I couldn't ask for a nicer room and the front desk called and made dinner reservations for us. The safe was hard to figure out.
Nice location, friendly staff
I very much liked the simple, un-fussy atmosphere, like an old fashioned pensione; the situation was superb, with the Pantheon outside my window. But I thought it was too expensive for what it was - €170 a night is a lot for a very unpretentious place.
Everything was OK, the situation is perfect , also To take the breakfeast on the tables of Piazza della Rotonda was very good. Perhaps the breakfeast could be more varied , more flexible, and Some nights we were disturbed by noise of people from the Piazza.
First of all, the location is perfect, in the city center with a view onto the Pantheon. I also liked the friendly staff and the cleanliness of our room. The breakfast in piazza Rotonda were also a very pleasant.
Nice hotel in a fantastic location, you can walk to all the major sights, staff were friendly and rooms were clean, great view of the pantheon, would stay there again Breakfast wasn't great and the room was a bit expensive, but I suppose your paying for location
Excellent location for sightseeing, restaurants, bars - would recommend it anytime Breakfast could have been a better
Centralized location, Pantheon across the Piazza and Trevi Fountain close by. There were lots of good resturants with friendly staff close by. The entrance was on the ground floor and you to get to the elevator with your luggage to the first floor you had to traverse a small stairwell and carry your own luggage up to the elevator. Arriving and departing may represent challenges to someone with lots of luggage.
The location was really convenient for me – centrally located and a convenient walk to most of the attractions (even the Vatican or Colosseum are only about a 20 minute walk away) The included breakfast was decent and couldn't have been served in a better location than the rooftop garden with a good view of the city in most directions. The WiFi is an extra charge unless you book directly on their website and it was so slow and unreliable that it's not worth paying for. They had the classic signs of a hotel skimping on a professional installation: many different network names and while many of them reported excellent signal strength, the access points would usually reject connection attempts; after retrying enough times to connect the best speed I saw was about as fast as a 2G cellular connection and you'd be logged out a couple of times an hour. Until they hire a professional to fix their network, skip the frustration and go out and enjoy the city instead. Any cafe, bar, restaurant, etc. advertising free WiFi will give you something tasty for your money along with better service.
Location, location, location. Good stuff. Spectacular breakfast bar on the roof with a view of all Rome. Clean, nice. Interntet was not working. It was connecting, but not working. Spent fortune on international data before realized.
Great rooftop views of Rome
The rooms were perfect as a base camp for exploring Rome. The desk personnel were very helpful and engaging. (Hotel Employee) was most helpful and personable. Breakfast was served in our rooms which we especially enjoyed. The hotel is a bit of a walk to the Metro but convenient for the bus system.
Location The room was on a ground floor, looked more like a basement. NWould not give it even one star.
This is a very good hotel. It is centrally located, within easy walking distance of Rome's major sights and best shops. Despite its proximity to the Pantheon, it is quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and provided a good choice of excellent food for breakfast. Highly recommended.
Great location, good friendly staff. In "Booking.com" it says €10/hour for internet usage but it was actually free. Just ask at the reception.
fantastic location, nice decorated hotel and rooms there is nothing to complain about in this hotel
The location was superb, if we got losy we just had to ask which direction the Pantheon was and they would point and off we'd go. While everything in Rome is expensive, I thought that the hotel was overpriced. The amenities were excellent, but the room was smallish and I did not deem it worthy of $500 a night.
Fantastic locationin traffic free zone, easy walking distance to historic sites, shops and restaurants Rooms were a little on the warm side for confort and temperature difficult to control
The interior war beautiful, extremely nice staff, very nice room and bath. And the location was super, quiet nice area. I will recommend this hotel til anyone going to Rome. The breakfast was OK, but lacked dark bread.
Location was excellent, all the service people were lovely and pleasant, and the lounge area is beautiful and relaxing. the room was very small and did not have any dresser or drawers for clothes
everything. the sstaff, hotel facilities and location were excellent.
The location is perfect - just steps from the Pantheon. The staff was friendly, welcoming and accommodating, significantly enhancing my stay. Talking with them became part of the pleasure of the trip! The hotel itself is small and charming, but with a high level of service. I hope to stay there during my next visit and recommend it highly.
The room was outstanding! The hotel is in the Historic Center, and is perfectly located for visiting all the sites. The hotel was great, and very helpful in resolving a problem with lost luggage, with the airline. No, I would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone traveling to Rome, who wants to experience the old city.
