As we were going to Museo Vaticano, location was perfect. Very nice bedroom, bathroom very well equipped. I was disappointed that there was no airport shuttle on Sunday. People travel seven days a week.
The staff was extremely personable, knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast offered a wonderful selection of cold and hot foods, nicely set out. We would likely not stay there again, as the neighborhood is very noisy and we had to change rooms to a lower quality to get on the non-street side of the hotel. Also, the enormous lines of tourists every day waiting to get into the Vatican Museum snaked in front of the hotel and were overwhelming.
Room was large and had a nice bathroom. Breakfast was great. Hot and cold buffet. Very clean.
the excellent location it is so near to st peters and the vatican and very close to all the historic places of interest and wonderful restuarants and shops . the breakfast in the hotel was exeptional i have never seen so much choice the scambled eggs and bacon were excellent and great to start the day i will certainly stay at this hotel again and would recomend it to anyone visiting rome
the location was great and the staff were fantastic. The provided breakfast was also delicious
The hotel staff was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms are well furnished and ample.
Staff was very friendly and helpful
The hotel has a good location, just in front of the Vatican Museum. Nice room, nice breakfast, very helpful staff.
The room was luxurious, The hotel staff was very accomidating to our needs.
The location was unbeatable & the room was nicely appointed and clean! Even with the windows open at night there was no traffic/city noise and the breakfast offered plenty of options. For 4 people the room was quite small. When the second bed was open there wasn't any room to walk around the far side of the bed & there was only room for 2 small suitcases.
The breakfast was of a very high standard and with a good choice of items. The shower cubicle doors did not open wide enough my mum who was travelling with me and does not have good mobility struggled to get in and out the cubicle.
Great location near the Vatican. Very nice room with a balcony. Friendly and helpful staff. The elavator was slow and small. There was no AC in the room, but we were able to open the balcony door to get a cool breeze.
Hotel staff was very accomdating and was able to take care of all our problems. The driving directions were not very good and hard to follow. no
very close to the vatican The light fixture fell off the ceiling, which the attendant did not believe it was possible. I looked as if it's happened before looking at the fixture parts and the ceiling. Also, one of the beds was wet for some reason. This was the third time we stayed here and had outstanding stay the first two times.
Very nice hotel near the Vatican. Great location for sightseeing. Very helpful staff and excellent breakfasts!
The hotel was excellent, the staff extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay (we only wish our viist were longer!)
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfasts. Clean and nicely decorated
localization, charming hotel
The location is very good, a 10 minute walk from the line a metro station and a 15 minute walk to st peters square. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection Avoid eating at the bar go out for lunch and evening meals
It is an apt with four rooms and a little kitchen for all. Each room has its own bathroom. It is great for young couples on the go. Evetything is remodeled, we got a huge room! The location is great! We were walking distmce to the vatican and 3 blocks away from the subway. the place was very quite and ee had a great stay totally worth our money. the breakfast was very plain compared to what we got in all other hotels in Italy. That was the only "downside" for us.
Inexpensive and very close to touristy spots (the Vatican) Clean and offers breakfast - We didn't actually stay at Blanco Vaticano, we were brought to a sister bed & breakfast, and weren't informed of this prior to our stay. The person who checked us in also had limited English, so we did not know where he was taking us. Imagine our shock. - Although there was a reception desk, there was no one there at all times. In our previous experience, it was helpful staying at hotels with receptionists to help us find good dining options or to hail a cab. So if you're in Rome for the first time and don't know your way around, you're out of luck staying at this bed and breakfast. - We did not realize it was cash only, which can be an issue for tourists since we only had a limited amount of Euro. - The shuttle to the airport was very overpriced. Cabs give a flat rate for 45, but they charge 65. - Tiny elevator, which again is awful for tourists
The room that WE stayed in ( pictured in the advertisement ) is clean and modern. All other rooms were not as lucky. It's a 5-10 min walk to St Peters Square in Vatican City. Too far to walk to any of the other historical landmarks. There was no attendant when we arrived. It looked like an apartment building. There was confusion with the booking when someone finally arrived. The advertisement offered a Free shuttle to the airport ( which was the main reason I booked it in the first place ). We were directed to the bus stop instead. The continental breakfast was enough for 6 people, not the 10 people that were there. The perimeter of the property is filthy.
great location I never got to stay in this B&B! I had to move to two different locations in our three night stay. We ended up in a place with no hot water, mold in the bathroom, no shampoo, had to stop the shower part way through before it overflowed. No one to talk to. Never got the breakfast we paid for. Very bad management, and the coward did all communication through the poor cleaning lady!!
Friendliness and helpfulness of all of the staff. Cleanliness of rooms and hotel in general. Garden restaurant/breakfast area and food was outstanding. Location and convenience to Vatican was excellent. It is also a handicap-friendly facility. Beds were a little hard.
I have been to Rome 7 times and this is the best hotel of them all. Good price, excellent staff, clean and good location. Breakfast was exceptional. Staff worked hard to make reservations and give directions. A family hotel with their heart in it. Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Bathroom was more 4 star quality. Very clean and good area safty wise. Sure, I would love to be nearer treve fountain but I am not willing to pay the cost. This is right on the major Metro so the best I could do for location given what I am willing to pay.
We toured Rome on foot for one day. To say the staff is friendly, is an understatement. Every single person was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was abundant and served on the top floor terrace. The A/C in the rooms was excellent. There is a very convenient minivan to the airport as an added plus.It is well-located near the Vatican museum and a metro stop. There was nothing I did not like about this hotel. It was perfect.
lounge area is great-- very nice TV and comfort. homey. great location for the vatican. great shuttle service. poor channels onthe room TV. the room and bath were too small for comfort.
Decent place, good location, clean, nice staff. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together. Not the comfiest!
Great staff and great value.
Very helpful staff, good location
The staff were very friendly and willing to help with any questions. They would get answers to questions they were unsure of. The breakfast was just ok and the room we were in was very small. Our friends had a much larger room.
Breakfast on the terrace!
breakfast on the roof small rooms and very small bathrroom
Location Lift should work better
We like the location, the room was good, for a 3 star facility it is excellent for accomodation. The breakfast was a bit boring
Authentic european feel with friendly staff and wonderful neighborhood location.
The front desk lady was very helpful and always ready to answer my questions with a smile
clean decent sized room, not too small, good location - easy to get to the metro, friendly staff Breakfast could be better, offer larger choice (fresh fruit perhaps)
Situated close to Vatican. Nice personel.
Very close to the Vatican; very friendly and helpful staff; rooms in hotel are clean.
The location of the hotel is excellent, in a quiet street around the corner of Vatikan, very close to the metro station. The rooms are nice and big, bathroom very big and new. The hotel is very clean
We liked the location, the clealiness of the rooms and the gentle staff. It is a hotel at the centre but in a quiet area. We definitely recommend it. The breakfast was manily based on cakes and pastries. We would have appreciated some ham and cheese to go with the bread that was provided.
We are first-timers in Rome. Having flown just to see the wonders of Rome & its relics of Ancient civilization were our set priorities. We were fortunate the hotel we browsed from the internet is within the proximity of almost everything we want to see. We can easily shop from nearest souveneir shops to the nearest designer boutiques. Its location is also on the clean side of the city. Very much away from the walled graffiti of other locations. Crime is also less in the vicinity. After a day-long tour, it is very comfortable to just lie down in a very clean & tidy room. Though the shower area of bathroom is small, at least, it is very clean. We plan to go & book in this hotel again in the nearest future now with my whole family. Hope the safety deposit is installed a bit higher where we can easily do the coding without squatting on the floor. Replace very old towels into newer pieces. Upgrade of TV set.
The Amalia hotel is very well located just outside the Vatican Walls, in a nice area of town and very quiet (in the back rooms). The staff were extremely helpful and lovely with our daughter. Many decent restaurants around (L'Isola pizzeria) and also a laundromat nearby (needed when you have a young child!) Wifi internet worked very well in the room and prices reasonable. We would recommend this hotel and stay here again when next in Rome. Although breakfast was sufficient and bread, pastries and cake fresh everyday, adding fresh fruit and yoghurt would be an improvement.
Wonderful hotel one block off the Metro allowing for easy train travel around Rome. The large double room was very big, and had a nice bathroom. 10 minute walk to St Peter's. Grocery is 5-10 minute walk. Angelica was very nice and helpful. There is no luggage storage, but check in is earlier (1200-1500) than most other hotels.
