We were delayed waiting for a passenger, not crew, not a Marshall, not customs, a passenger. We left after we were supposed to have landed in Florida. No food, no drinks, no wifi, just an old plane packed full.
We booked our flights via Expedia. We received several communications via email from Bahamasair to update us on our booking including flight changes. We responded to the Bahamasair email to check in on 7/16/2021 (the day before our flight) and experienced challenges with the website. I called Bahamasair call center and they attempted to help us but said that they couldn't but we could check in fine from the airport. I asked to speak with a manager and the woman told me the managers were gone for the day. I begged her to assist so that we wouldn't have hassles at the airport. She assured us that everything was fine and that we could check in at the airport. When I protested she hung up on me. When we attempted to check in today at the attendant said that we couldn't check in because our flights were not ticketed (not paid for by expedia). After much debate (after showing proof of ticketing and payment) I was forced to pay nearly $500 for flights that we already booked and paid for just so we could get home. My wife and I lost over an hour of our vacation trying to check in as prompted a day before our flight only to be totally humiliated in front of other people at the airport. I have spent countless hours going back and forth with Bahamasair and Expedia only to be out HOURS of my time, an additional $500! My wife and I work hard and this was not the way to finish a well deserved vacation. AVOID BAHAMASAIR at all COST!!!
Contras: Be prepared to be extremely late with zero communication. Check in will be at the airport and is extremely inconvenient and disorganized. Their website and emails do not work, so you may not get a flight confirmation and you will definitely not be able to access any flight details online.
Prós: We didn’t crash, that’s the only good aspect of this entire flight.
Contras: Took an hour and 3 minutes just to check in and check baggage. There were only 2 people ahead of us. Gate was changed with no notification. Sat in the airplane for 45 minutes with no air, and no reason as to why we had not left the gate. Didn’t even push back from the gate until after were were scheduled to land in Fort Lauderdale. Horrible organization, horrible communication, needs a lot of work.
Prós: Crew was very helpful, they helped with our issues. But the technical issues that they were having when checking everybody in, was insane! Arrived at 9am when flight was 12:30, I got my boarding pass at 12:05. Then crew had to delay for 2 hours in a half .
Contras: Maybe having an IT technician on sight. Someone who understand the software you use because it kept crashing. Other than that, it was great
Prós: Crew was professional courteous and it was a relaxed setting. Bahamasair is getting better and better.
Contras: Boarding announcement was a bit low.
Contras: This airline does not care about punctuality. Flight times are approximate. They are all way too relaxed and expect flights to be late. No explanation. No apology. They fly jets and props and one never knows what equipment they choose to fly on a particular day/
Prós: I liked that they allowed me to catch an earlier flight without cost.
Contras: The flight being on time could’ve been better.
Prós: I liked that I was getting to my destination!
Contras: The space! I felt like a sardine in a can. The air system wasn’t pushing much air. So it was hot and tight!
Contras: The flight was very late and not a lot of info shared as to why. Nearly missed my connection!
Prós: Crew was helpful

Contras: There was a two hour delay in our take off time. Has to improve
Contras: Seats were broken, some with duct tape on them
Contras: Bahamasair did not keep passengers updated regarding flight delays
Prós: The whole boarding process was great! I will recommend!

Contras: Keeping us informed would’ve been better There were no updates or info flight being delayed
Prós: Short flight, but the crew was spot on with getting people situated quickly.
Contras: Seats and leg room not the greatest...
Prós: Flight was fast. Didn't even get a chance to sleep.

Contras: Add snacks to the complimentary beverages they served.
Prós: Absolutely nothing
Contras: The worst experience again with Bahamas air, 10 hours of waiting, with very limited info, nothing compensates, brought through back dots to another terminal to go through customs again, wait, wait and more waiting. The absolute worst customer service.
Prós: Not at all.
Contras: The seats along with the entertainment and food.
Contras: On time departing NAS would have been nice. Late!

Contras: The departure was slightly delayed. However, the professionalism of the crew overshadowed the delay.
Contras: Thank You for getting me the best rate for this booking!
Contras: 7 hour delay due to weather. Rebooked everyone on later flight. Despite the weather, they kept everyone informed, boarding was fast and bag arrival was fast.
