The room was fantastic and the staff very helpfull
Very nice playced.
Very pleasant stay, comfortable well appointed hotel. Good location. Excellent value.
The location of the hotel was great to get to other areas. The packing of the hotel has low capacity in the parking garage and the hotel parking lot has no security my car got broken Into and all the items in my trunk and inside me vehicle were stolen.
nice, large room and common areas were very attractive high cost of internet service-this is free in many hotels
Everything worked great. Personnel was very helpful. Cleaning was exceptional. Good location. Room interior was old and worn.
Perfect location :)
The staff, in particular Nancy, were absolutely fantastic and made for a very pleasant stay. The Hotel and location were stunning. Great stuff altogether.
Le Plaza is a dream hotel. Best ever. Location, staff, room everything great. Breakfast was a bit expensive
It was in the middle of the city and shopping malls I was told it is 5 star but it was only 4 star !!
It had a portable AC unit that was loud and noisy.?it was either hot or cold in the room . Staff was not very friendly or helpful. Room could have been cleaner.,the plave was tired looking. Not at all beautiful like in the pictures. .
nicely situated and nicely decoarated hotel. very decent. I recommend
The hotel was really clean and beautifully designed. The bathroom had a bath in it that you often don't have at many other hotels. The breakfast served was also to my liking. The warm water in the shower did not work correctly.
Excellent help from desk personnell, very nice breakfast and free WI FI; I don't like to single beds joined together.
Newly remodelled, reasonably comfortable, wireless in the room.
The price was good value for the centre of Brussels Room was quite small particularly toilet. No food available after 10.30 and no information on alternatives for travellers who arrive late.
the staff was very courteious Layout of the building
Marvellous hotel with a good price in the centre of the city. More friendly personnel
The room was big and very quiet.
Good location not great, nice remodeled room, good value , staff ok not great, good value for Europe
staff were friendly, breakfast was good and the lacation was good. Althought check out was at 11:00 we were allowed to stay untill 12:00 check out at 11:00
great localization, great design
Room is quite spacious and clean. Breakfast was yummy.
Friendly staff-extensive reception and dining area - very good Buffet breakfast. A/C was not working in my room and it was too warm for the first two of my five night stay. I complained and the only solution apparently was to turn off the heating in my room altogether. This was done but I also had to open a window (21st floor) for the remaining 3 nights.
The walls were a bit thin, and we could hear the people next door talk.
The bed was very comfortable (and this is my most important review criterion). The breakfast was excellent and abundant -- would appeal to many different tastes. Wish I had time to use the spa.
location was brilliant, hotel was very accommdating, it let us check in early and on leaving they allowed us to store our luggage. also lots of resturants located near it, and plus city sightseeing tour bus pulls up outside hotel. walls are a little thin, can hear other guest use bathroom facilities.. can be alittle annoying late at nite, otherwise fine hotel for price
Too many people for the elevators to handle. I had to wait 10 minutes before an elevator stopped at my floor. And no roomservice.
clean, efficient, comfortable. Reasonable cost if you look for discounted from the hotel's standard room rates. Good Internet access except for capacity to send attachments. television had very poor sound quality. could have offered more channels at optional purchase?
good location, cofee/tea making facilities in the room, varied breakfast, toiletries am a non-smoker and had a smoking room
Close to center and to business location It is too warm in the winter. Should be possible with air condition when windows can't be opened.
excelent cental location there is no effective air condition in the room and the room is hot
Breakfast: fresh and nice variety. Internet: fast Very few bathroom items provided by hotel, no space for your own bathroom items, no space for your luggage (no luggage holder), no safe, no shelfes for clothes only hangers, no bathrobe, no slippers, no complimentary mineral water. My hotel room didn't look the same as on the web page, instead of specially requested king bed, I've got 2 beds near each other.
I was "unvolontary" upgraded to a super room at 28th floor - I liked that! All OK.
Location Tried to charge me 30% more than the booking price. Long waits checking in and out. Staff overall very unfriendly with some exceptions.
Spacious room w comfortable bed
It was a beautiful hotel, well located and the rate on booking.com was very good. Room did not have a view ( looked onto a brick wall, which made the room very dark. Not a major issue.
The service ,unbelievable good
The hotel was very central and had an impressive reception area. We had to change rooms three times . The standard of accomodation was extremely disappointing for such a renowned hotel. The rooms were cold and very noisy from the street below. The room we eventually ended up in smelled of stale cigarette smoke. We did not have the energy to ask to be moved again. We would never consider staying there again.
The cafe outside, Breakfast was not up to the standard of the hotel. Actually very bad. Rooms on the backside not very interesting
The Cafe Old and tired hotel.
Lovely decor and atmosphere The pillows were not very good - I woke up with a neckache!
a lovely art deco hotel with good facilities, free and extensive breakfast buffet included. Free mineral water in bar a nice touch. apart from a small bathroom so toilet right next to bath (which was ok) the breakfast buffet hot trays were at best lukewarm
Every thing great, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast
Location is good. It is an older hotel, but that also makes it unique.
Perfect location. Nice staff. Goood breakfast. Big rooms. Nothing
I found the room comfortable, the young lady who was on duty when I checked in and on the couple of afternoons/evenings I was around very courteous and helpful. Liked the spaciousness of the foyer as well. I enjoy a drink in a bar and would have welcomed such a facility in the hotel.
Great location, great hotel, lots of shops, restaurants and bars around it Hotel directions aren't useful, use this: Take Tram/Metro direction Gare de Nord, Get off at De boukere, exit Av. Ad Max and it is right opposite the street as you exit.
The location was ideal. The stuff very friendly and efficient. The rooms were spcacious and quiet. Breakfeast very good.
Just the manager was really good, the front desk can be improved mainly regarding parking information
Standard of service & accomodation for the price, friendly helpful staff and the location It was hard to find good directions
What a lovely room! Just great, and a perfect location. Quite long queues at checkout so hard to ask reception staff anything.
The location was excellent as were the facilities, The breakfast buffet was varied and served until 11am. The hotel has no double glazing and was quite noisy in the early hours with street and traffic noise.
Centrally located but feels a bit shabby. Hotel is showing wear. Not a holiday spot, feels more like a business conference spot.
The excellent location and the great support of the personel ,the tidy room and the hospitality made the whole family very happy.
The 8th floor room had a very spacious balcony. With the temperature well below zero it couldn't be enjoyed but a summer visit would be a different matter.
location super, spotless clean hotel and friendly staff, great value too.
Good location. Good breakfast that was included. Loud room and window. Broken coffee maker. Windows didn't open. Low water pressure in shower. Starchy hard sheets.
Free wifi, cleanliness, allowance of late check out, location Slow wifi, water pressure in shower
General ambience, decor, location We could not adjust the room heating low enough or alter the temperature of the bath/shower water.
Great location for bars and restaurants.
I thought the entire staff including housekeeping was very friendly, helpful, courteous, efficient in trying to meet our needs. I had to deal with management couple of times and Dimitros was just great! Location is excellent, rooms are well lite with all the amenities. I like the idea that every floor is different in color and décor. Also many rooms are not the same. I like the state of the art security system and privacy with the room keys and not being able to access another floor w/your room key. Rooms are comfortable not like some hotel rooms that are very small and crowed. I think on the daily basis they should make a slight change in their menu for the buffet breakfast. Everyday it was exactly the same. Breakfast is open 6:15 and they should be ready at 6:15, the hot food was not ready till 6:40, chef was still preparing. I was with a Globus tour in Amsterdam, Luxemburg and the 2 hotels there had a slight change in their menu. Radisson should get a sophisticated coffee machine so people can help themselves that way you don't have to ask them for coffee and it would help a busy day. It was very chaotic, short of staff several days in the breakfast restaurant, , everybody was running around then accidents occurred spilling coffee, crashing plates. Tables were not cleaned off so it was difficult to find a table. I understand that at times understaffing occurs, I think days like this they should have a sign Please wait to be seated, so they could get a table ready for the amt. of customers to be seated. As people were let in freely, we're looking for a clean table and it was difficult to find one so I landed up cleaning my table plus got my own coffee. I felt it was ok to help out a little bit. They have a ledge anywhere from 2 1/2-3 inches high before going into the bathroom which doesn't make sense why they have it, it serves no purpose and certainly does not help the décor. I think it is very dangerous especially at night. I kicked it on the first day 3 times and then I put a colorful luggage strap on the floor and left the light on. 2 other couples stumbled on it, laid a towel to even it out, taped some paper across as a reminder that the ledge was there.
Free parking at the hotel. Nice surprise were the tickets of the Margritte museum and the tickets of the public traffic. Good service, nice personel good breakfast, good excusebecause it was too crouded to be placed immediately. The room maid came twice disturbing us. The room smelt of smoke, what was irritating.
Its nice clean and in a good location I arrived at 13:46 and I was told that check in starts at 15:00 so I was given the room as a favour Thats the feeling I got
Location and staff weRe great. I was on the second floor and there must be a club directly underneath. I couldn't sleep because the music was throbbing through the room. I had to be up at 5 am so this was disastrous. Not good at all. Not worth it at all.
Staff was very accomodating and I was very pleased with the service. I paid extra to stay on the business floor as I had much work to do between meetings. The Internet was barely working and I was very unproductive. This was a major disappointment especially for the extra money spent.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Our rooms were on the fourth floor. This floor is due to be renovated. I would suggest that it is overdue. Tiles are lifting in the bathrooms making proper cleaning impossible and there is mould everywhere. The toilets are coming away from the walls. They also block at regular intervals. Cupboard doors are coming off their hinges and racks of drawers are broken, making unpacking difficult. The beds were soft and uncomfortable. After we complained, we were moved to another set of rooms, also on the fourth floor. These rooms were in a slightly better state of repair, perhaps owing to the fact that they were part of a suite and therefore used less frequently. However, the beds were still uncomfortable and are due to be replaced.
Perfect location It is really 4*. No 5*.
I have received everything I asked for - a hotel in the ceter of town, with all the amenities, corteous and pleasant people at the reception and the departure. I shall use you on my trips again.
The hotel room was well equiped, very spacious with walk in shower and a bath! The staff friendly and their was a nice ambience to the hotel. Located across from one of the main shopping malls a plus. The prices for the room mini bar were exspensive. If the hotel were to price this as value for money they would find they would get used much more by patrons.
I liked the art nouveau design , the location and the discount price. The airconditioning system did not worked properly or at all.
Luxureous hotel, in room massage on request (E70/hr), fitness centre, good bar (free newspapers incl Dutch), great location on inner ring next to City2 shopping mall and beginning of shopping street Nieuwstraat, public parking & metrostation next door, 500m from Gare du Nord. Breakfast is expensive (E25 p.p.) and is automatically added to the bill, you have to ask to take it off (if you didn't have it).
Very clean and quiet. Good exercise room I used on 3 occassions. Based on my experience at other hotels in Brussels, i.e Sheraton, the breakfast was OK but nothing special. For example, no staff to prepare a freshly cooked omlet such as at the Sheraton and the Marriott.
The free wifi internet access is a boon. It works well and is easy to use. The hotel switched off it's heating rather early in the season and I could not use the heating part of my room's temperature control. I was uncomfortably cold and had to ask for a heater to be provided.
the room comfort and view. no
Location. Cold room and noice from the street.
comfort and cleanliness
Excellent location, just in front of City2 mall and near Gare du Nord.
The freebies that were given(this works products) and the breakfast buffet The bar was closed on saturday, only one chocolate on the pillow
Great location. Modern facilities. Spacy rooms. Good value for money.
Very centrally located and close to Grand Place.
Great location. Only 2 min. walking distance to the Grand Place. Nice area. The pool was great, we used it every night. 2 saunas, VERY relaxing! Open until 10pm. The staff was helpful and went out of their way to help us figure out where we were going and would call taxis for us. The rooms were nice, the pictures on this site do them no justice! Nice bar area and bartenders, open until 1am! :) Would definately stay again! Only wifi and certain rooms, had to use lobby area to get on the internet. Very expensive to use. 10 euro for one hour and 25 euro for 24 hours. The beds were a little to hard. Beckfast was WAY to expensive. 15 euro per person per day. They over charged us for the room by 100 euro. But once we mentioned it they quickly fixed the problem.
Very near the city centre, 2-3 mins walking distance
Location of the hotel is excellent, as it is near the metro as well as Grand Place Towels had holes in them and bed linen was not clean
nice hotel for a city-trip, kids enjoyed swimming pool though it was very small
I like the location, value and cleanness of the Hotel.
Complaint about a broken light bulb fastly dealt with. Very pleasant stay. The fact that internet on the computers in the lobby was not easily/freely accessible for checking emails or train departures. A slight inconveniance...
It was easy to find at it was placed in a perfect area, close to everything - Metro was round the corner as well as the central station. The area had a lot of very good restaurants just next to the hotel. I would stay here again if i had to go to Brussels. No
The breakfast, the room, the pool, the videogame at the lobby were very nice. There was a line to take the breakfast. We had to wait about 20 minutes to have a seat.
Good sized room with comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities were good. I was disappointed that the pool was too shallow to have a swim - probably more of a splash pool.
Location close to the Grand Place. The bar was only open at certain times. I was also surprised that there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room.
the condition of the room and bathroom is 3 star at it's best, not a 4 star hotel
big & silent room
Very much so!!!
Nothing. Rip off. Totally overpriced
Hotel was fine - very close to Gare Centrale and Grand Place Breakfast was ridiculously expensive 21 € - and was not worth the money - just a standard buffet
Good central location, the breakfast was very good and I would stay here again
Very modern, clean and comfortable rooms. Having a room at the end of the hallway (no noise) and with windows opening at the front and the back of the room was surely a bonus. Staff at the desk spoke many languages, unfortunately Dutch was not one of them.
The Staff were always very friendly, welcoming and smiling. This made it easy to approach them about anything. The room and facilities there were really very good.
--> TLDR? This hotel was a nightmare because of: - No working water for 2 days without notice! - Rude and unprofessional staff (arguing in the hall for 40 minutes) - The worst water pressure - Ladies - Bathroom was completely unusable to do hair/makeup (lighting, no plugs, no mirrors outside the bathroom) Oh and that "open bar" they call out? You have to pay for anything you get from it. They like to be purposefully deceiving here. After a 8 hours of travel, sweaty and tired, we arrived at NH Brussels Grand Place. At the counter was a notice saying that there would be no water service (no showers, no use of toilets, no use of sinks) until the evening. News to us. I asked why we were not notified that there was maintenance on the water - if we had been emailed, I would have showered before leaving in the morning. It was a huge inconvenience that now I had to either sit in the room for hours waiting for the water to come on, wasting our precious little time in Brussels, or hit the town with hair that hadn't been washed in 2 days, and generally just feeling disgusting. Without apologizing, she said they found out about it this morning and there was nothing she could do. We came down later and asked for a manager. He wasn't in. We were upset that we had no warning about the water and were treated without empathy by the concierge. We were told by another unapologetic employee at the front desk that this is planned maintenance that happens at the start of the year to clean the water. So...you didn't know it was happening to give advanced notice but it's planned maintenance that happens this time every year? Alright then. The next morning we're awoken at 8am by a woman loudly cleaning out all the rooms in the hall. Bit early? Fine. Then we hear more commotion - the woman, along with what sounds like the manager, are loudly arguing in the hall. We can hear it all the way from the bed, as it's a heated argument. This lasts 30-40 minutes. I get up and see that there's a slip of paper under my door. I pick it up and realize it's identical to the notice we saw yesterday, just with changed dates. Yes - the water will be off again from 10:30am to 5:30pm. It is now just after 9am - thankfully we didn't sleep in and miss our ability to shower again!! Yet again, we get no notice that we need to get up at 9am or earlier to get a shower again. Good thing we had a full day planned and weren't reliant on using the toilet in the hotel during the day. I take a shower (while I still can), and it's seriously a joke. The water dribbles from the shower head, barely allowing me to fully rinse the shampoo from my hair. I towel off and pick up the hotel-provided hair dryer. It's weak, but it will do. One minute later, the dryer overheats and is rendered unusable. Luckily, I have a travel dryer. I see there are no outlets in nor around the bathroom. Typical Europe. I go out into the bed area and realize the *only* mirrors are in the bathroom. I'm forced to use my faint reflection in the tv as a mirror. That done, I go back into the bathroom to do my makeup. I look at myself in the mirror and see that the lighting is so poorly laid out, it makes it nearly impossible to see what you're doing. There are no front facing lights, just an led that is behind you as you get up close to the mirror to apply makeup, making you look like the monster in a horror film. Clearly a woman had no hand in its design.
The fact that it was really central location in the capital and easy !
Location and price, perfectly adequate Noise from hall, some maintenance issues in room
The design and atmoshere
sophisticated furniture and atmosphere of room I prefer normal inner shoes style.
This hotel was absolutely amazing! My husband and I were road tripping through Europe and stopped in Brussels on a whim. This hotel and city ended up being our absolute favorite. It is a beautiful hotel, with excellent staff, and the facilities are great. We can't wait to travel back and stay at the Dominican again.
room superbly equipped and furnished. Sometimes difficult to get service in the restaurant and bar
very attractive boutique hotel with upscale ambience. The rooms were very well appointed, comfortable and contemporary. Brand new renovations in November, so it feels new, but in the setting of an old monestary building. Very hip.
Excellent value, room, price, hamman, sport, bathroom, nespresso and bed. I am in Brussel on a regular basis, but did not select for my next visits because price delta was to big with Radisson Blu (80€). For a smaller delta I would have selected The Dominican. Nothing
Great location. Great decor. The hotel truly conveys an air of luxury and expensive design. Ideal for a weekend stay. Not all lights in the room were working.
The atmosphere in the hotel and also the staff and their friendliness. No.
Our room was spacious and we were impressed with the bathroom and amenities. We didn't get the same room rate on the additional day we stayed (due to the Belgium rail/bus strike). Consequently, we had to pay a higher rate for the day on top of the amount we were paying for a room in Bruges that we couldn't get, to due to the strike.
The comfortable bed, the nespresso machine, the location, the kind staff, We had a bathroom with the shower in the middle of the room, so that the whole room was flooded after the shower. The view of our room showed on the restaurant, we would have preferred another view.
Great location. Helpful and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The only negative is breakfast is not included. One can choose to pay €27 per person, a hefty price for eggs & toast.
Architecture, Decoration, Room and coffee Room was small, hotel is small but very luxurious and modern
No day-use tariff. No WiFi in the rooms. Problematic access in the lobby (encryption enabled).
friendly staff, very comfortable bed i was missing the kettle in the room
For a business hotel note to have wifi access in their rooms is a negative
it was clean and comfortable
new, clean, quiet rooms; option to have NO breakfast price ("congress price")
The Progress Hotel is well located to Gare du Nord, Metro and shopping. It's quiet, and ideal for short work stays.
It is a clean hotel, close to North Station and to the main shopping area. Room was big and comfortable. The strong sweet perfume in the corridors.
Comfortable room with extensive minibar and Nespresso. Breakfast buffet was modest and service (in particular to get a cup of coffee) was slow.
Very good location, eco-friendly hotel Old and very used looking rooms, very dark because of small windows. Very little difference between standard and superior rooms
Friendly staff, Goodbreakfast, Nice and soft bed.
Trendy modern feel to hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast everything was fresh. Good heating and hot water. Comfy beds.Lovely efficient staff. When having window open for ventilation there was noise during the early morning from the foyer.
Very comfortable hotel, very good location, good services. Nothing particular, maybe it is more for business than for turism. It lacks some "charm".
Good bed, near train station and in the city center.Good soap in bathroom, not in a small bottle. Environmental preservation all around. The hotel needs a bit of refurbishing, it is starting to show some wear and tear.Maybe some extra help at the reception would be a good idea to speed up checking in and checking out.
Although it is a small hotel, it has everything that is needed for a hotel. It is a nice hotel in a good location. The breakfast is nice too. The air-con unit is not working for the whole hotel during our 2 days stay there. But luckily the weather in Brussels is cooling and we do not really rely on the air-con unit.
The hotel is in an excellent location for amenities, facilities and sightseeing. Quality of food and accommodation is very good None
A nice, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff. And of course, the location of the hotel is just perfect.
The staff was very kind. The location is perfect -near Gare du Nord train station, near metro station, near shopping area...The breaksfast was good! Wrong information about the taxxi price to the airport - so, I was surprised....instead of 25, as receptionist told, it was 46....:))))
breafest buffet was ok room direct in the fron, lot of traffic noise. bathroom needs renovation
Perfect location and value for money
The Hotel is very central, Metro just around the corner, or an eight minute walk to the centre. The staff were very helpful the breakfast was basic but ok. I would stay there again
Location is excellent. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful (btw, that is because you need a lot of help from them...) This hotel can hardly be 4*. The windows are tiny, you feel as you sleep in the tent at the street. The constant draft in the room contributes to the feeling. The default was using the bed cover as a blanket (?!). I had to ask for extra blanket, and got quite an old one. The refregirator was not turned on at the check-in, The excercise was to pool the whole thing out from the cupboard to plug it in. TV remote control was broken...
The localization is perfect. Foot steps from metro station. The breakfast is good but must improve the replacement. The room was very clean. There is a very bad smell in the rooms and corridors (smell of old things). The bed was not comfortable enough. There is not good noise isolation in the room. The hotel needs renew urgently.
Location is near Gare du Nord, close to metro and taxi. Shopping and walking streets around. Big room.
The very friendly and helpful welcome from the man at reception and the location which as ideal for my visit. The young man serving breakfast was ok but 'just doing a job'. The breakfast itself was acceptable but you weren't exactly spoiled for choice.
Good attitude of the staff, at my third visit the room was very big and comfortable I will be glad to recommend this hotel to my colleagues and friends. May be one thing, there was very bad WIFI connection and the best variant for hotels is to provide WIFI connection for there customers free of charge.
As I only stayed for one night checking in at around 21hrs and checking out the next day at around 09.00 in the morning, I cannot say much, except that the breakfast was super, though rather on the high side as regards to price! One small thing - the shower did not have any small shelf where to put the shampoo, soap etc, whilst taking the shower. This proved to be rather inconvenient!
Its location Room size
The room was comfortable and had all required facilities. The bed was very comfortable. I liked the facility to play MP3 player through the radio (except it didn`t work in my case!)
Location and gymn facilities. Staff trying to overcome the personal complains about the lack of quality of this room. As member of the Hilton Honours I was hosted on a floor for general guests.
internet access in the room
very professional staff
Location was convenient for traveling around Air conditioning was temperamental and with the window open the traffic was noisy. Extremely expensive breakfast meant that we ate at Cafés.
A small room in the business section of town. I would stay at the Hilton on Avenue Louise as I have in the past..would not retunr
nothing except location room, breakfast
Location of hotel, staff and value
I liked the appartment for the privacy @ it was lovely and comfertable plus above a shopping mall
Location The aircon didn't function during the recent heatwave in Brussels.
In an excellent location (walking distance to the Grand Place). Very appropiated for families or small groups. Comfortable, well furnished, clean apartments/studios. Helpful staff.
Design of the studio room and facilities including free WiFi Strange cleaning arrangements with those staying <3days getting free cleaning but those staying more not???
The convenience of location, Its just perfect. Well fitted out and excellent space utilisation. The beds are too hard and uncomfortable. I pointed this out and was told that they can't please everybody.
Good location Not a charming room, no hot water
The hotel staff and amenities were great. The location was perfect.
The hotel is brand new and thus clean and modern. There is no English tv channel available for news or entertainment. The hair dryer is strangely available only at the front desk whereas the room is full of all sorts of other electronic equipment.
It was comfortable and the staff was very nice. It was also covenient to the metro, super market and stores. The tub was difficult to get out of. There was a big drop from inside to outside. i fell the first time I used it.
