The location is great, located very close to city center and to the Elbe with a very nice view. We asked for a room in a higher floor and it has been accomplished. Hotel bar on the top floor with a great view to Elbe and harbour.
Fantastic views from the hotel bar on the 20th floor, good facilities for meetings, gym open around the clock.. Wireless internet not available in the entire hotel
Sushi restaurant and room servise was good. No wi-fi in the room, just with a cable. Internet low-speed connection.
The spaciousness of the room I was allocated and free access to the Internet My room was a corner room, so I was surrounded by huge glass windows which were a threat to privacy! Also, perhaps because of the size of the windows, the room tended to be cooler than I would have wished
Excellent innovative, well presented food style in David Restaurant, Great service in groundfloor bar, Excellent facilities
The design of the hotel was good, rooms were great and had wonderful views and we had one of the best schnitzels ever in the bar when we arrived late on Friday night (service was excellent as well).
The location to the harbour and city is one of the best features
It was very comfortable and clean and the staff were great. The location is right next to the Reeperbahn which sounds good but actually can be a bit seedy
Long breakfast time-frame. That's all about the good stuff. Low value for money: like a hostel - but less fun. like a cheap hotel, but expensive. The room wasn't big nor comfortable. if you have a big luggage, you'll have problems to move within the room.
Good Location, plenty of places to eat and only 20 minutes walk from the Hamburg Messe Exhibition Centre. Metro 5 minutes away. No telephone in room. The Hotel does not take credit cards !! - but will accept debit cards (if pushed).
It was too noisy at night until 5-6 am in the morning. I would recommend giving earplugs to the persons that don't like the noise.
Wanted to stay in the red light district and it certainly was in bang in the middle Close to tube. Eat very late at night They should have sold earplugs but we did bring our own!
the cleanliness, the excellent staff, the proximity to the reeperbahn nothing
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Rooms can be noisy
The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The neighborhood was not really our scene (sex clubs, brothels, etc.). Music and drunk people from the surrounding clubs were very loud until about 6am every morning. We came back to the hotel late in the evening to come upon a very drunk man puking near the entrance.
very clean room, excellent shower, excellent location. only cold water in bathroom sink
Leaving it. Room was clean and basic. It's in a red light area. Do not book this hotel unless you are happy to arrive via the Reeperbahn (strip clubs, bars selling cheap drink, brothels) or Simon-Utrecht-Strasse (homeless people sleeping on the streets, fears about personal safety). When I booked this hotel I had no expectation about this. Thank God I didn't take my daughters! The wifi didn't work in my room, and I had to sit in the very basic bar downstairs to use the wifi. The safe in the room wasn't open
it is close to everything, good and worst places(i mean sex shops) but we are not disturbed in any way, location is good for to reach anywhere you want to go, it is up to you to choose the places you want to eat and enjoy, you can find everything together in walking distance
Cheap to stay, decently clean Rooms had twin beds, smaller than hotel rooms in the US. We were charged for breakfast in the morning despite no one telling us there was a charge and 1 woman working the breakfast area telling us it was free when we asked her. The front desk refused to accept that anyone said that and laughed at us as if we were crazy, despite the fact that we asked the woman working in the breakfast area if it was free and she literally said yes. Other than that, no issues.
Good position. Nice staff.
Noise from the techno club downstairs until 9am in the morning.
Good food, very central and nice staff.
Early check in Saund
All very good none
Location, environment, ambiance, athmosphere, cleaniness No parking facilities
Location in middle of the town, very good No everything was fine
A friend of mine had recommended the hotel to me, but other than the location, I knew nothing of the hotel. I found it basic, clean, and very satisfactory. Even having a room overlooking the main street, the noise wasn't too overbearing
Breakfast was fantastic - the room was roomy - and the street quiet Reception was very smoky.
Friendly staff It is off course close to the Reeperbahn so be prepared for much attention from working girls in the streets upon returning at night.
Easy booking in process and friendly reaxed staff
proximity to concert venue -
that it was clean and simple, all you want when you're gonna be 99% of your time out, but yet a bit of privacy and comfort at night and in the morning. Mostly the location, which is both pretty good and pretty bad, it's central, but on this big street and at night it was noisy. They do have rooms facing the courtyard on the back of the hotel, so it really depends what you get, you might not have that problem at all.
The room was clean, staff helpful. Close to eating out places. Fairly priced. Close to underground station. Nice basic hotel - was suitable for my business trip needs. Loud outside! Windows of my room was on a main street - drunk youth was shouting around all night long! Not much of a soundproof at all... Altona train station is rather 15-20 minutes of fast walk than 5mins mentioned in another review.
My room was very clean. The reception was open 24 hours. The location was very close to public transport. Half of the staff I encountered were very friendly and half of the staff were rude. I felt less of a guest and more of a customer.
the location was excellent it could benefit from some renovation
Closeness to all amenities in Hamburg and very friendly staff.
Alright breakfast, own parking places in the yard, reasonably priced wi-fi. Somewhat loud if you keep the window open, very dark bathroom.
Good location good price only standard comforts, but fairly clean
Provision of earplugs (nice client friendly service - did not have to use them though, even not on a saturday night) Not very clean - I'm sorry
Excellent location if you think spending time in Reeperbahn. TV didn't work, no radio, no breakfast..but you'll get everything by stepping out on the streets.
When we arrived with my boyfriend the hotel was closed and alothough there was a number to call the staff arrived after almost an hour with no rush at all!
Location - On the Reeperbahn close to all clubs and bars. Friendly staff. Great base if you party till late. Bars dont close on Sat night. On Sunday morning the Fish Markt opens at 5am and the party carries on. Rooms facing main road can be noisy - ear plugs are supplied by the hotel. No breakfast facilities other than coffee/tea, cafe's close by.
Conveniently located. The room was large and stylish. The bedsheets were not very clean although the room was. The entrance stairs could be too steep for some with heavy luggages. This is a primary location on Reeperbahn. Not advised to children and older people who need some assistance as the staff is there on a minimum basis. A good place for couples on a limited budget that want to have fun in the city.
The "Reepeebahn" charm of the hotel ie mirror on the ceiling in top of the bed. The room including the sheets smelled like cigarettes smoke while I asked or a non smoker room in the booking reservation in booking.com. Also lots of stains were visible on the floor and on the sofa. No toilet paper the first day.
Clean and spacious room/bathroom. Excellent location in Reeperbahn. If you spend your time in St.Pauli/Reeperbahn, this is a good choice!
Helpful, friendly staff, great location and pretty good value. No breakfast, but there's plenty of options in the area. Would definitely recommend for a night or two.
the black cat! - washroom
Friendly staff. Decently furnished room. Clean. Good location in between a U-bahn and S-bahn station. Bath towels could be bigger and there were no shower gel provided. No lift.
the surrounding area
Ideal location for short break or business trip. Some excellent pubs with good food very near. Short walk to main town. I visited Hamburg to go to the Miniature Wunderland, and found this hotel ideal. The Reeperbahn is around the corner, and is not a problem. Staff wonderfully friendly. I would stay again.
Free parking, close to the nightlife and friendly staff. Good value breakfast.
Close to public transport and nightlife, good transport links, good location rooms basic
Nicely appointed. Clean and the staff is great!!!! Noisy neighbors. The neighborhood is insane, but it's the Reeperbahn, what are you going to do?
Excellent price/quality ration, renovated rooms, good breakfast, nice and helpfull staff, free parking The hotel is located near the "red lights" district
The manager was extremely pleaasant and helpful.
Very central location in district of St. Pauli, right at U-Bahn station Reeperbahn. Staff was friendly and helpful, speaks English fairly well. Free private parking at the hotel, which is quite unique for such a location. Adequate free breakfast. Poor sound isolation of the rooms, small room and some signal problems with the tv. Some areas close to the hotel have hookers on the street that approach men quite aggressively. No problem if you know where to go to avoid them.
Good location and excellent for travelling to other parts of the city.
Facilities were good for a budget hotel. The staff were very helpful and the facilities were clean.
The location. N/A
Clean and cheap
It was clean, and the people were nice, and it was close to the subway It mentioned 'wireless internet' as part of the room ammenities, but it didn't mention that is was 30 euros a day, which isn't vary fair in my opinion cause that is a big part of why I booked that particular hotel.
the room is kept clean and the staff is very accomodating
This is a basic, chain hotel near the Rieperbahn. We stayed one night just to see the Rieperbahn and that is the only reason to stay at this hotel. It is clean and safe but not comfortable. The room was just too small to enjoy the stay.
Ease to rail travel. A Microwave and tea making facilities should be provided in all rooms. More information on the local area provided to rooms - value for money restuarants etc.
great hotel for city and night life easy to get to from airport none
friendly, close to the city center toilets not cleaned beds broken
Location and facilities are good value for money. If you are planning to visit the RLD then this is the Hotel to stay. Easy check in and out, excellent value for money. Access from the airport via bus and rail is easy, the hotel is located close to the rail station.
The money, it was really cheap and (if you don't mind being in the heart of the red light district) it's a good location. The rooms are very basic and smelt like stale cigarettes.
The rooms were comfy, comfy beds and pillows, good bathroom and awesome that check out time was at 11 not 10am Not being informed that we had to bring our own blankets was not cool, but worked out ok.
Location and cost-performance Showers could be better
The staff humoured my desire to try out my german, but could correct me with english when it all went wrong. the code system for access to the hotel was a really good idea. very hot, but the weather was unusually warm.
Spot on, excellent location and excellent value for money.
It was convenient for the shops and restaurants
The location of the hotel was excellent, and the shower worked well. The room was poor probably €20 per night would have been about right.
