location was easy to find wifi was only in the lobby and I had to pay to use their parking deck
The view, bed and the shower Chaotic buffet breakfast.
Check in/out was very efficient The lifts!! Have a mind if there own but when your in the 14th floor you have no choice but the use them it can take you up & down a few times before getting the floor you require Oh & breakfast is chaos not enough tables to cater for guests
The hotel was in a great location as we were visiting Birmingham for the Christmas markets and shopping at the Bullring. Nothing at all.
Very accomodating staff Dusty and the food was the same every day!
The breakfast was excellent Excessive car charges £24 sterling for one night was excessive, I presume rooms are going to be updated ...
Great, location, good food, and comfortable quiet room!
Breakfast Room was cold. Staff unable to get fixed so put up with it rather than repack and move.
Large comfortable rooms, well heated and great bed
The location, comfort and cleanliness of the hotel.
Staff very helpful, nice location. Room was in need of decorative updating, bathroom was scruffy and tired, heater did not work well
very close to town centre
Excellent location, high standard of room, comfortable bed, excellent en suite with bath and shower. Breakfast was not very hot and we had to wait until we had nearly finished before coffee was served, but the choice was good. The plates should have been warmed.
the breakfast was fantastic.
Staff really friendly without fail.
Jurys have really up the mark in this Hotel,We have stayed before and it gets better every year.
Location; bar. 1. Staff ignoring people who were smoking in the non-smoking/eating sections of the hotel. 2. Newspapers having to be collected from reception - I wanted to read in bed. 3. The shower leaks all over the bathroom floor because the shower door doesn't fit properly
the pizza. screaming kids running about in the corridor.
double beds in thetwin rooms and being allowed to have a smoking room
Location despite being far from the railway station What we were charged had nothing to do with both your prices on the internet and nothing to do with the numbers of breakfasts we had. we had to intervene to both. this is the first time we are facing this after hundreds of hotels we visited. we had our room left for the hole day as we woke up one day
the size of our room was excellent
hotel room was lovely - good value for money and the breakfast was good.
My visit was good and enjoyed my stay as the location is near the clubs and restaurants and the German Market The fact that the cleaners woke me up three times between 8.30am and 9.30am by entereing my room while I was sleeping
Proximaty to centre
Convenient location. Ideal for a night out in the centre of Birmingham. Rooms were pretty basic, but sound enough for what we needed them for.
Dining room staff excellent all staff very helpful Telephoned to change from one room to two. This had not happened on checking in. However we were accommodated a room each and next to each other which was great
helpful porters at the entrance and the pool.
Wonderful Room Wonderful View Wonderful Spa!
Luxury and modern styling, lovely lobby, restaurant and classy bar, clean and felt quality, professional and smart staff The drunk young italian thug at the bar....... The lack of free satellite tv channels...... Plus the parking that had to be in the NCP around the corner was closed at 11pm when I got back to the hotel!
Good staff Want to charge you for water bottles in room No batteries in remote control Cheap toilet paper For the price you pay you would think the hotel would get all these little points right!
Excellent facilities Comfortable bed overal good We presumed breakfast and car parking was included in the price as it was the previouse year and cheaper then.
very helpful staff nothing outstanding stood out but it was a very pleasant stay with no problems. too much chlorine in the pool and jacuzzi
Well appointed and central location However you look at it £170 can get you overnight anywhere
Easy walk to NIA. Staff always polite & friendly. Nothing
Late check out at 12.00, which means you can have a lovely lie in Unfortunately the temperature was minus 4 degrees and the hotel is not built for cold weather. The rooms were just at a reasonable temperature for someone that doesn't feel the cold too much. The restaurant and lounge area were very cold and whilst the food was excellent, we left as soon as we had finished eating as it was uncomfortable to sit and enjoy.
Excellent service Nothing
massage chairs in the spa were a big plus
The room was comfortable. The check-in experience was very amateur for a hotel of your calibre. Also I found that the carpet in the room was quite stained.
Close to Birmingham New Street rail station
Stylish decor the very poor service!!! both reception and in the restaurant!!!
The availability of an iron and ironing board in my room. When I went down to breakfast I was seated and then ignored for about 25 minutes. I had to ask one of the staff if I could order as I had a tight schedule.
This is the second time here and we had another wonderful time! We especially love the position as its very close to the canal network and various bars and restaurants - plus very near to the City Centre. Lovely atmosphere too as, although its an incredibly comfortable hotel it also has a 'warm and inviting' feel. Your staff are 'second to none' - well done! Hope this assists - thanks.
room was lovely Checking out was long winded as only one receptionist on, we were checking out at 07.15am (not a busy time!) to be at an appt for 07.30 but receptionist was back & forward as couldn't find a receipt for customer in front of us and never once asked for someone to serve,so we were late for our appt by few minutes....poor
The comfort of the rooms and big bathrooms along with the atmosphere in the bar/restaurant area. gorgeous breakfasts with very good attention to detail with what was on offer. The shower was a bit low in both pressure and height and the room a bit cool.
The service in the bar was appalling and the hotel is starting to look shabby and neglected.
Didn't stay at Mint Hotel - stayed at City Inn, birmingham Bed really uncomfortable
Excellent hotel, with everything you need near by. The pubs clubs and restaurants were only 3 min walk away. A superb hotel to stay in.
The room was very clean and very well equipped. The location of the Hotel was also very central and convenient for the city centre.
the easyness it was to get to the NIA and broad street. it was quite hot in the room and found it difficult to turn the heating down.
everything!was a great stay
Nice spacious rooms, excelent location, check staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was cold, poor choice and very expensive, the staff at breakfast were either hungover or on mogodam,go weatherspoons.
The room was tastefully decorated and the location was awesome
huge window was a nice touch no bath
location charging additional for breakfast. small rations for in room coffe making.
Very quiet room, very comfortable bed & seating. Tea & coffee facilities well stocked. Check-in was very poor, slow - with a queue from desk to entrance. Staff approach seemed rather too casual. Bedroom was quite clean but had to remove some litter from floor.
The hotel had a pretty good location, fairly central to the city and shops. I was literally a few minutes from where I needed to be. The room was very cold in the morning however it did snow over night and the beds were not partically spacious
the heating,as it was very cold in birmingham city that day we was their no where to park!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Hotel was spot on staff very helpfull walking into city centre was about 15 minutes through not very nice side streets. ( not recomended returning from NIA at night )
Nice and friendly receptionists I choose the hotel because Internet should be available. That turned out to be the case only in the first floor, not in my room.
For the price, I would have expected more. It was clean and basic.
the breakfast was delicious, hotel is quite near to the new street railway station and the shopping centre bullring although the hotel should be 4*, some services and facilities, which should be in 4* hotel are missing - minibar, safebox, bathroom amenities + the price 15 GBP also for TV (bbc, cnn...) is too high! (standard TV channels should be for free)
The room was very clean and well presented and very quiet. Coffee & Tea available. I did not like the Hotel policy of requiring a deposit if you were going to use any of the facilities. For example we had dinner in the restaurant but I was not allowed to charge it to my room because I had not paid a deposit when I booked in. I paid cash. It is a minor irritation but a silly policy.
On a cold winters night it was very very close to the bar we were going to that evening and it was close to local shops and supermarket! Staff were extremely unwelcoming and not usefull in the slightest
The location of the hotel is a short walk from the staion and from the bull ring The rooms are basic beds not comfortable air con very load for a new hotel only a shower with basic soap travel lodge style food in restraunt poor rough area laminated floors in bedroom would not recormend this as a buiness hotel
The whole package, from the staff to the great accommodation. Just one very small thing, at breakfast, the plates weren't warmed so breakfast was cold before it got to the table.
very convienant and nice atmosphere
I would like an invoice to cover ALL of the room costs as I invited a few guests from other companies and I did not get all of the copies back.
The staff - friendly, helpful and very gard working. Personally would not classify it as a 4 star hotel - even at the "Bonus" price of £140 it was overpriced. Then to add insult to inhury theres a £13 Car Park fee on top - should be ashamed of yourselves.
clean and good service
The size of the room and comfortable bed. We only stayed one night!
It was close to the things we wanted to see and do. It was also very comfortable.
Hotel was lovely, comfortable & spacious. Wouldn'tthink twice about staying here again. Room that I was given was not what was advertised or on confirmation, never the less it was very comfortable and served its purpose.
I thought the food was good in the restaurant I booked into the room at 11am but when retruning to the hotel at 6pm was told my room had been taken. An alternative was provided within an hour. However the TV didnt work in the room.
Great location with parking.Breakfast very good.Staff very attentive. Both lifts were out of order.
Location Service at the front desk was at times very slow.
As ever, first class accommodation
The apartment was clean and well maintained, except for the radiator in the lounge area did not work as there was no power cable between it and the socket. The apartment was spacious and well appointed with fixtures and fittings. The radiator in the lounge area did not work - there was no power cable between it and the socket. The location was good for the 'Mailbox' complex, but was not really city centre location.
Very comfortable, clean, new and modern
Brilliant location, and just so easy to come and go freely and without hassle. Very comfy and well- appointed had slight trouble working the washing machine- should probably have looked for the instructions!
The room was clean, tidy and modern. Just like a four star hotel There is no car park but there are parking meters outside and the parking is free on a Sunday
Privacy No staff available at reception or anywhere else
the comfort of the room /where hotel sits /quietly next to all amenitys and like a tardis ,outside any other building inside very comfy french windows the ease of which a child could slip out, our child is 6 and very much into it all, that is if children where allowed? and being close to the ground, floor parionod of revellers wanting if they ever did of climbing up, saying all that if the rooms had air con then all windows could bshut when warm
Spaciousness, ultra cleanliness, central to city. Very helpful reception lady. This was a 61st birthday for my Wife and we chose initially it for it's location to the Hippodrome theatre, where we had booked for a show. But it was a very wise choice as the rooms were excellant and we enjoyed immensley the space and cleanliness.Very important to a woman...! There was some noise from the street during the night, we would have liked to try a room facing the inner courtyard next time
Excellent value for money, quality accomodation The entire facility wasn't fully operational
i was travelling with my mum and it was great to be staying iwith her whilst we had separate rooms. the tvs in the bedrooms were not tuned in and my mum found this very frustrating as she likes to watch TV when she cant sleep
the television it was hard to heat up the room, the shower wets up the whole floor when you go to the toilet
Location, internet, breakfest, the building is nice, the reception with stairs are nice, the staff was corteous. Room is too small for the price, no windows, smells dump.
bed was very comfortable, very conveniant for centre of birmingham.Liked the free papers and fruit at the desk. room was too warm, thought there should be more milk and tea in the room.Bathroom door was hard to close.didnt like that there was nowhere to hang clothes.
good location for birminghambusiness trip the acoustics from the corridors are poor.
Although the room was on the small side it was very comfortable and the room was very clean and just right for an overnight stay. The TV in the room was a bit to big and made your eyes go funny after a while!!
Very unique hotel, inside in the style of a ship. Very clean, comfy, modern and very friendly staff, great central location for everything.
Clean, friendly staff, very good location, free wifi, 5 minute walk from city center Room is very small,Not much room for luggage
hotel was clean and good price great loctation loved the rooms very cosy
Excellent condition of room, great shower, huge plasma screen at the end of the bed! No windows in the room!!
It was very close to the Birmingham Symphony Hall and I was able to walk to and from the venue I was attending. I'm elderly and disabled, and it was very convenient for me. I liked the hotel although I'm not absolutely comfortable with the concept of no windows and relying on air conditioning for ventilation. This might be simply a factor of age, it was my first experience of this type of accommodation. I'd stay there again if I was going to Symphony Hall again.
compact room, comfy bed
Ideal location for city, easy to get to with ample parking facilities. Room very spacious & clean Bed was a bit hard but that is personal choice
The staff were excellent , especially the waitress at breakfast who was on her own and the breakfast room was full! We did have to wait longer than we wanted for our breakfast but she was so attentive and apologetic
Very friendly and helpful staff, free car park and good breakfast. n/a
The staff were extremely attentive and helpful for the whole duration of my stay. The location was also very central, with easy access to shops and restaurants. The room was fairly dated and needed refreshing. The shower made a loud squeak whilst using it.
Was centraly located to bars & shops The price of the 3 rooms we booked were very expensive compared to the rates on offer on all inroom advertising, on checkin the girl on the desk comented that the rooms were expensive.
everything about it was very good. room, reception, food ,staff excellent.enjoyable stay. none
Location and cost
good location, friendly staff, good price
friendly clean comfortable noise outside from residential area
Staff very friendly Only 1 bath towel and hand towel for 2 people, the headboard was sticky minor things really and we didnt complain
Good location, good cleaness Poor booking process
The staff were very friendly, the hotel was central, room, bathroom very clean. Overall a nice experience
the location of the hotel.comfortable bed. The room is very small and cramped.
Excellent staff, good breakfast Small room -a bit gloomy
No Hotel Literature. Not enough Coffee, tea, Milk.
friendly staff and a good evening meal Room size was very small
Convenient to Broad Street. Good breakfast (extra cost though). Parking.
Welcome and hotel quality Cab firm supplied by the hotel charged an excessive fare for a short journye, namely £29 for a journey to Wythell
Only stayed 1 night whilst attending a ball at the icc but found hotel comfortable breakfast excellent. Car parking
