The friendliness and unfussy approach, the eco awareness, the naturalness of the staff, the lovely quiet garden no
The hotel was very nicely constructed in the traditional Nepalese style and the staff was extremely attentive. For the price this place can't be beat. The location was good in that it was only a block and a half from the good part of town. Unfortunately that block and a half is a very dark, unpaved(muddy), seedy and somewhat scary alley by a strip joint. The rooms though very nice are dark. The whole place could use some better lighting.
The hotel staff were wonderful. My nights at the Kantipur Temple House made my stay in Kathmandu an excellent experience. The rooms had character and the hotel was exceptionally clean. I like the fact that even though it is so centrally located - it was quiet (a haven) from the noise of the area around. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
the ambience, the staff, and the local. It is a beautiful designed hotel which made me feel a part of Kathmandu. Several of the staff made my stay exceptional and because of them I would return in a heartbeat!
Great friendly staff and the room was different from your standard hotel room so was a a nice surprise
location; helpfulness of staff
1.The cost ($21,usd/night), 2.Venue real nice courtyard to chat with people from all over the world-mostly trekkers but other tourists and expats on extended stays or working in Nepal), rooms small but clean, no ac but not needed, can open windows at night and sleep comfortably 3. location (if you want to immerse yourself in the culture of Kathmandu) 4. cleanliness 5. Staff friendly typical of Nepali people I have met in country and as expats elsewhere. To put in perspective if you are looking for a multi-star with turned down covers and gourmet baking, scenic view etc. go elsewhere but if you want to dive into Nepal culture and chat with other like minded folks this is the place. The power is shut off by the electric company from time to time by the electric company but the is typical of all of Kathmandu. The internet was slow but I didn't come to nepal to stare at a screen for long periods of time.
